Abstract

Education in Indonesia has not fully solved the social problems. Therefore, there should be improvement of the education quality. The notion of KH. Ahmad Dahlan and Paulo Freire can be used as models in the implementation of education in Indonesia in order to be able to solve the social problems. This study aims to describe the concept of KH. Ahmad Dahlan and Paulo Freire in education including the big idea of ​​the concept of education and its implementation in the learning that includes learning strategies, approaches and methods. This study uses qualitative approach and literature study as its research method. The data were obtained through collecting some artifacts, documents and other relevant articles. Finally, this study provides four points as conclusions. First, both KH. Ahmad Dahlan and Paulo Freire used the concept of critical education. Second, the strategy used to implement educational ideas is authentic learning strategy. They led their students into experienced phenomena. Third, both of them chose student center learning approach, or learning that focuses on students. Fourth, the method used was dialogue. The four points are obviously relevant to the current implementation of education system in Indonesia. Conceptually, the learning strategy, approach, as well as method used by the two figures are in line with the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya (UMSurabaya) responded to the development of the 4.0 industrial revolution by developing e-learning starting in the odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. This matter gives a big impact on the lecture system for the academic community. The Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) UMSurabaya as a faculty that prints millennial era teacher candidates responded well by making training to make digital learning media intended for all lecturers. The training was followed by 60 lecturers from FKIP UMSurabaya with the help of ms Office Powerpoint, Fastone, and Filmora software. The method used is the presentation (lecture) and direct practice to produce digital learning media desired by each participant.

Abstract

Abstrak  Letak geografis SD Muhammadiyah 9 Surabaya (SDM 9 Surabaya) yang berada di pesisir pantai selat madura dengan keelokan dan keindahan pantainya menjadikan SDM 9 Surabaya sebagai sekolah berpanorama indah. Namun, letak geografis tersebut sebagai daerah rawan bencana,  menjadi situasi krisis bagi SDM 9 Surabaya sehingga berakibat mengganggu kesejahteraan psikososial guru dan siswa yang sering terlanda rasa khawatir, cemas, dan takut terhadap ancaman bencana alam. Kegiatan pelatihan EduMat (Edukasi Matematika) mempunyai tujuan yaitu pemberian latihan dan bimbingan melalui permainan media matematika yang dirancang dan didesain sehingga bersifat menghibur, menyenangkan, dan bernilai edukasi. EduMat-Psikososial Tangguh Bencana Alam adalah program pendampingan  guru dalam memberikan bantuan kepada siswa yang mengalami permasalahan psikososial melalui edukasi matematika sehingga terbangun sikap tangguh dalam menghadapi permasalaahan baik bencana alam, pendidikan, maupun permasalahan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu EduMat-Psikososial Tangguh Bencana Alam diharapkan bisa mengapresiasi guru dalam membangun kedekatan dengan siswa sehingga terbangun kepercayaan, keharmonisan dan mengikis mindset ketidaksukaan terhadap matematika dan dapat meninggkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hasil pre-test dan post-tes menunnjukkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap pentingnya media pembelajaran matematika dari 11% menjadi 32% dan peningkatan pemahaman guru terhadap dukungan psikososial dari 11% menjadi 29%. Kegiatan pelatihan EduMat Psikososial  memiliki pengaruh yang cukup signifikan. Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Matematika, Psikososial

Abstract

Test-Based National Selection demands students' readiness not only in material mastery, but also in critical thinking skills and high-level problem solving. Tutoring institutions have become a popular choice to improve students' readiness to face the selection, but evaluating students' readiness objectively and adaptively is still a challenge. This research develops a decision support system model based on Mamdani type fuzzy inference system to evaluate students' readiness for Test-Based National Selection. Two main indicators are used as linguistic input variables, namely study frequency and try out results. The modeling process is carried out qualitatively with the stages of fuzzification, IF-THEN rule base formulation, Mamdani inference, and defuzzification using the centroid method. Data is processed with the help of Microsoft Excel as a fuzzy logic processing tool. The results of the implementation on 30 students showed that the system was able to classify the level of readiness into three categories: not ready, moderately ready, and ready, with high precision and flexibility to data uncertainty. The findings suggest that fuzzy models can be used as adaptive and contextualized evaluation tools in tutoring environments, and support data-driven instructional decision-making.

Abstract

This study aimed to address a research gap by examining the effect of Creative Problem-Solving Tasks (CPST) on students’ creative self-efficacy and creative thinking ability in solving integer operation problems. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group was employed, involving 60 seventh-grade students from two public junior high schools. Participants were divided into an experimental group (CPST-based instruction) and a control group (conventional instruction). Instruments included a creative self-efficacy questionnaire and an open-ended mathematical creative thinking test contextualized in integer operations. Data were analyzed using independent sample t-tests and confirmatory factor analysis. The t-test results showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in both self-efficacy scores (t(58) = 11.56, p < 0.001) and creative thinking ability (t(58) = 5.22, p < 0.001). The experimental group demonstrated consistent improvement in the dimensions of fluency, flexibility, and originality. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the structure of mathematical creativity as a second-order construct. These findings indicate that implementing CPST in mathematics instruction significantly enhances students’ confidence and fosters the development of creative thinking simultaneously. The implication of this study highlights the importance of instructional approaches that integrate both affective and cognitive dimensions to support mathematical creativity, particularly in complex topics such as integer operations.

Abstract

ujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu, mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulisan peserta didik berdasarkan hasil ulangan harian pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar serta mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan peserta didik berdasarkan hasil ulangan harian pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deksriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII B SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Surabaya Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023. Pengambilan subjek menggunakan purposive sampling dari nilai tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Enam subjek terpilih dengan ketentuan dua subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tinggi, dua subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang, dan dua subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, tes dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis untuk subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tinggi memenuhi lima indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis, subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis sedang memenuhi tiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis dan subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah memenuhi dua indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis tulis. (2) Kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan untuk subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi tinggi mampu memenuhi lima indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan, subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi sedang mampu memenuhi empat indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan, dan subjek dengan kemampuan komunikasi matematis rendah hanya mampu memenuhi tiga indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis lisan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of using STEM-Linktree media with story problems on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of SMP Maryam Surabaya. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a quantitative approach. The research design uses One Group pretest-posttest. The population in the study were all seventh-grade students of SMP Maryam Surabaya. The sample was selected using random sampling because of the homogeneous academic background. Data collection techniques in the study used pretest, posttest, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used were N-gain, One Sample T Test, and Paired Sample T Test. The study results showed that the One Sample T Test obtained t_table=1,729 < t_count=14,295; then H1 is accepted H0 is rejected. Similar results were obtained from the Paired Sample T Test obtained t_table=1,729 < t_count=14,163; then H0 is rejected. The analysis results indicated that the use of STEM-Linktree media with story problems had a significant effect on student learning outcomes. Students' responses to learning using STEM-Linktree media with story problems were highly positive, falling within the "very good" category, with an average score of 83,5%.

Abstract

Abstract. This research aimed to describe the results of the management of learning, student activities, learning outcomes, and students' responses after conducting a jigsaw type in cooperative learning model using boutique media on triangular material for VII grade junior high school students.The method used a quantitative descriptive method because the data are numbers which are then developed descriptively. The subjects were students of class VII Tribhuwana 2 Setro Menganti. The research design used one shot case study which was conducted for three meetings using the jigsaw type in cooperative learning model. The results showed: (1) management of learning as a whole can be categorized very well with an average score of 3.5; (2) overall student activity can be categorized as active with an average percentage of 92.2% (3) the average value of student learning outcomes is 82.2 with an average percentage of classical completeness 81.82%; and (4) student's responses in learning by using the jigsaw cooperative learning model with BUTIK media are positive. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan hasil pengelolaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar, dan respon siswa setelah melakukan model pembelajaran kooperatif type jigsaw dengan menggunakan media butik pada materi segitiga pada siswa SMP kelas VII. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif karena data berupa angka-angka yang kemudian dikembangkan lagi secara deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Tribhuwana 2 Setro Menganti. Adapun rancanga. penelitian yang digunakan yaitu one shot case study yang dilaksanakan selama tiga pertemuan menggunakan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif type jigsaw. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan: (1) pengelolaan pembelajaran secara keseluruhan dapat dikategorikan sangat baik dengan skor rata-rata 3,5; (2) aktivitas siswa secara keseluruhan dapat dikategorikan aktif dengan persentase rata-rata 92,2% (3) nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yaitu 82,2 dengan persentase rata-rata ketuntasan klasikal 81,82%; dan (4) respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif type jigsaw dengan media BUTIK adalah positif. Kata kunci: kooperatif, jigsaw, butik

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan model pembelajaran Problem solving berbasis STEM dengan media Digital Snake and Ladder dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VIIA SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus, dengan tujuan untuk memperbaiki hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan model ini. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, dokumentasi, tes, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model ini berhasil meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika, dengan nilai rata-rata meningkat dari 62,42 pada pra-siklus menjadi 63,14 pada siklus I, dan 80,14 pada siklus II. Selain itu, kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan pada setiap langkah pemecahan masalah. Aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran juga meningkat, dengan kolaborasi dalam berdiskusi menjadi indikator dengan nilai tertinggi pada kedua siklus. Respon peserta didik terhadap model pembelajaran ini sangat positif, dengan skor tertinggi pada indikator motivasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini menyarankan penerapan model serupa di mata pelajaran lain untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kata kunci: Problem solving, STEM, Digital Snake and Ladder, hasil belajar, keterlibatan siswa.   Abstract: This study aims to examine the application of the Problem solving model based on STEM with the Digital Snake and Ladder media in improving the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Surabaya. The research uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach consisting of two cycles, aiming to improve students' learning outcomes through the implementation of this model. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation, tests, and questionnaires. The results show that the application of this model successfully improved mathematics learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 62.42 in the pre-cycle to 63.14 in cycle I, and 80.14 in cycle II. Additionally, students' problem-solving skills showed significant improvement in each step of the problem-solving process. Students' activity during the learning process also improved, with collaboration in discussions being the highest indicator in both cycles. Students’ responses to the model were highly positive, with the highest score for motivation in learning mathematics. This study recommends applying similar models in other subjects to enhance students' understanding and engagement in learning. Keywords: Problem solving, STEM, Digital Snake and Ladder, learning outcomes, student engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of digital-based DIAGRAM SMART MATH on students' interest and learning outcomes in the material of data and diagrams. The type of research used is pre-experimental with a quantitative approach. The research design employs a one-group pretest-posttest. The population in this study consists of all seventh-grade students at SMP Mujahidin Surabaya. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, with a total sample of 25 students, comprising 9 males and 16 females. Data collection techniques in this study used pretests, posttests, and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were the One Sample T Test and N-gain. The results of the study indicate that the influence of digital-based DIAGRAM SMART MATH on the material of data and diagrams has a significant effect on students' interest and learning outcomes. This is evident from the analysis of the questionnaire used to measure students' interest, which yielded an average of 86%, falling into the very high criteria. Furthermore, the N-gain analysis results obtained a value of 0.7409, which is categorized as high. Additionally, based on the One Sample T Test analysis, the significance value obtained was 0.000 < P-value 0.05; thus, is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of digital-based DIAGRAM SMART MATH on students' interest and learning outcomes in the material of data and diagrams.
