Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Hijab Trends, Product Reviews, and Product Ratings on Hijab Purchase Decisions by Shopee users in Pontianak City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with a total of 203 Shopee users in Pontianak City who had purchased hijab products. Primary data were collected through the distribution of online questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and were then analyzed using multiple linear regression after passing validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests. The results of the analysis show that partially, Hijab Trends, Product Reviews, and Product Ratings have a positive and significant effect on Hijab Purchase Decisions. Simultaneously, Hijab Trends, Product Reviews, and Product Ratings also have a significant effect on Hijab Purchase Decisions. The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.863 indicates a strong relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, while the coefficient of determination (R2) value of 0.744 indicates that 74.4% of the variation in Hijab Purchase Decisions can be explained by Hijab Trends, Product Reviews, and Product Ratings, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The findings of this study indicate that Hijab Purchase Decisions by Shopee users in Pontianak City are influenced by the relationship between Hijab Trends, Product Reviews, and Product Ratings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of hedonistic lifestyle, Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), and financial literacy on personal financial management among Gen Z students in Pontianak, with self-control as a moderating variable. The method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive associative research method and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) technique. Data collection was carried out using primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through an online questionnaire (Google Forms) measured using a Likert scale with 5 response levels, while secondary data was obtained through literature study and official documents. The population of the study consisted of 74,149 Gen Z students in Pontianak, with a sample of 150 respondents. Instrument testing was performed through validity and reliability tests using SPSS, followed by classical assumption tests (normality, linearity, and multicollinearity), as well as hypothesis testing using F and t-tests at a significance level of 0.05. The results show that all research instruments are valid and reliable. The classical assumption test indicates that the data is normally distributed, there is no multicollinearity, and the relationship between variables is linear. The results of MRA equation I show that the hedonistic lifestyle and FOMO do not have a partial effect on personal financial management, while financial literacy has a significant effect. The results of MRA equation II show that self-control moderates the effect of hedonistic lifestyle and financial literacy on personal financial management, but does not moderate the effect of FOMO. The F test shows that the hedonistic lifestyle, FOMO, and financial literacy simultaneously have a significant effect on personal financial management, and the presence of self-control strengthens the research model.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of digital financial literacy, digital lifestyle, and perceived ease of use on the financial management of student e-wallet users in Pontianak City. This study uses an associative method. The population in this study consists of all active students domiciled in Pontianak City, with a sample of 150 respondents determined using purposive sampling techniques. Instrument testing techniques in this study include validity and reliability tests. Furthermore, the classical assumption tests used consist of normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. Hypothesis testing was carried out using multiple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simultaneous test (F test), and partial test (t test). Based on the simultaneous test results, the calculated F value is 47.857 > the F table value of 2.67 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that digital financial literacy, digital lifestyle, and perceived ease of use simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the financial management of student e-wallet users in Pontianak City. The partial test results show that digital financial literacy, digital lifestyle, and perceived ease of use individually have a positive and significant effect on financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of e-wallet usage intensity, lifestyle, and income on personal financial management, with self-control as a moderating variable among private employees in Pontianak City. The method used is quantitative with moderated regression analysis (Moderated Regression Analysis/MRA). The research sample consisted of 150 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through a questionnaire measured using a Likert scale and analyzed with SPSS version 25. The correlation coefficient test showed a strong relationship in the first model (R = 0.725) and a very strong relationship in the second model (R = 0.857) after considering self-control as a moderating variable. The coefficient of determination test (R²) in the first model shows that 52.5% of the variation in personal financial management is influenced by e-wallet usage intensity, lifestyle, and income, while in the second model, the R² value increased to 73.4%, indicating the role of self-control in moderating the relationship between these variables. Based on the Moderated Regression Analysis results, it can be concluded that self-control significantly moderates the effect of income on personal financial management, but does not moderate the effect of e-wallet usage intensity and lifestyle. The F test results show that e-wallet usage intensity, lifestyle, and income simultaneously have a significant effect on personal financial management. This study provides practical implications that to improve personal financial management among private employees in Pontianak City, attention needs to be given to the influence of e-wallet usage intensity, lifestyle, and income, by strengthening self-control to optimize financial management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of cognitive presence among lecturers and students in MOOCs-based online learning at ICE Institute using the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach. The instrument was adapted from the CoI Survey and validated through expert judgment. The respondents consisted of 38 students and 10 lecturers who actively participated in courses at ICE Institute during the odd semester of 2024. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with the criterion that respondents had completed at least four weeks of lectures. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentage statistics and proportion difference tests. The results showed that 80% of lecturers were categorized as having a high level of cognitive presence, while only 50% of students reached a similar level. Furthermore, 47.3% of students were categorized at a moderate level and 2.7% at a low level. This 30% gap indicates differences in perception and cognitive capacity between lecturers and students. Lecturers were considered highly competent in designing learning activities based on critical reflection; however, students had not fully utilized these opportunities. The study recommends the need for pedagogical interventions such as cognitive scaffolding, collaborative project-based learning, and self-regulated learning training for MOOCs students.

Abstract

Background: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Kalimantan face substantial financial management challenges amid accelerating digital transformation. As a border province geographically distant from Indonesia’s primary economic centers, Pontianak’s entrepreneurial ecosystem is characterized by informal financial practices, uneven digital infrastructure and limited access to formal financial services. These structural conditions create disparities in financial capability and digital readiness among MSME actors.Purpose: This study examines the effects of financial behavior, fintech development, online shopping platforms, and present bias on MSMEs’ financial planning, with digital literacy as a moderating variable within an integrated behavioral–technological framework. Methods: A quantitative causal research design was employed using structured online questionnaires distributed to 262 MSME owners selected through purposive sampling. Six validated constructs were measured using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 to assess both direct and moderating effects. Results: Financial behavior was the strongest predictor of financial planning, followed by online shopping platform utilization and fintech development. The present bias did not have a significant direct effect. Digital literacy showed no direct influence on financial planning; however, it negatively moderated the relationship between online shopping platforms and financial planning, indicating diminishing marginal returns of e-commerce utilization among MSMEs with higher digital capabilities. Conclusion: Behavioral financial discipline remains the cornerstone of MSME financial planning, regardless of technological sophistication. Digital tools contribute to financial planning when they are integrated with structured managerial practices rather than functioning as standalone solutions.Originality/value: This study extends behavioral finance and technology adoption theories within the urban entrepreneurial ecosystem of Pontianak. The identification of a negative moderating effect of digital literacy reveals non-linear and context-dependent dynamics between digital capability and financial planning outcomes, offering policy-relevant insights into inclusive digital transformation strategies in developing urban economies. Keywords: digital literacy, e-commerce, financial behavior, financial planning, fintech

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Green Accounting, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) on Firm Value, with Profitability as a moderating variable, in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2024. This study employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling. The research sample consisted of 66 energy sector companies, and the data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results indicate that Green Accounting has a positive and significant effect on Firm Value, whereas CSR and ESG do not have significant effects on Firm Value. Profitability has a positive and significant effect on Firm Value. Profitability strengthens the effect of Green Accounting on Firm Value, does not moderate the effect of CSR on Firm Value, and weakens the effect of ESG on Firm Value. Simultaneously, Green Accounting, CSR, ESG, Profitability, and the interaction variables have significant effects on Firm Value. The coefficient of determination of the moderation model is 41.1%, indicating that the variables in the model explain 41.1% of the variation in Firm Value, while the remaining variation is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure, green investment, and sustainability reporting quality on firm value, with firm size as a moderating variable in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2024. The study employed a quantitative associative approach using secondary data obtained from annual reports, sustainability reports, and financial statements. Purposive sampling produced 65 observations that met the research criteria. Data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA), supported by classical assumption tests and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that ESG disclosure does not significantly affect firm value. In contrast, green investment and sustainability reporting quality have positive and significant effects on firm value. Firm size also has a positive and significant direct effect on firm value. However, firm size does not moderate the relationship between ESG disclosure, green investment, or sustainability reporting quality and firm value. Simultaneously, ESG disclosure, green investment, and sustainability reporting quality significantly affect firm value. The first regression model explains 36.0% of the variation in firm value, while the moderation model explains 74.4%. These findings imply that energy sector companies should prioritize concrete green investment initiatives and improve the quality, completeness, and credibility of sustainability reporting to strengthen market value and stakeholder confidence.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the relationships of Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER), Return on Assets (ROA), and Firm Size with Earnings Management and assesses the moderating role of Managerial Ownership in Indonesian energy companies. Research Method: A quantitative design was applied to audited annual report data from 54 energy-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2023–2024, yielding 108 firm-year observations selected through purposive sampling. Earnings Management was represented by signed discretionary accruals estimated using the complete Modified Jones procedure. Direct and interaction regression models were employed. Results and Discussion: Only DER was positively associated with Earnings Management, whereas ROA and Firm Size were not significant. Managerial Ownership did not moderate any of the examined relationships. Neither model was statistically significant overall, and their adjusted explanatory power was very low. Thus, debt provided limited coefficient-level evidence but did not establish a comprehensive explanation of Earnings Management. Implications: Managers should maintain prudent debt structures and strengthen reporting controls. Investors and creditors should assess accrual quality and broader governance mechanisms rather than relying solely on managerial ownership. Originality: This study evaluates Managerial Ownership as a conditional governance mechanism within Indonesia’s capital-intensive energy sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Digital Financial Literacy, E-Wallet Adoption, and Locus of Control on Community Financial Management in Pontianak City with Risk Taking as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research sample consists of 150 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique, namely residents of Pontianak City who are at least 17 years old, have an e-wallet account, and have conducted transactions within the last six months. The data were analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the assistance of IBM SPSS. The results of the study in equation I produce the regression model Y = 0.984 + 0.035X₁ + 0.267X₂ + 0.463X₃ + e, which shows that E-Wallet Adoption and Locus of Control have a significant effect on Financial Management, while Digital Financial Literacy does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, in equation II, the regression model Y = 0.687 − 0.230X₁ + 0.099X₂ + 0.428X₃ + 0.350Z + 0.062X₁Z + 0.020X₂Z − 0.041X₃Z + e is obtained, which shows that Digital Financial Literacy, Locus of Control, and Risk Taking have a significant effect on Financial Management, while E-Wallet Adoption does not have a significant effect. Risk Taking is proven to moderate the effect of Digital Financial Literacy on Financial Management, but does not moderate the effect of E-Wallet Adoption or Locus of Control. In addition, the moderation model simultaneously has a significant effect on Financial Management with the coefficient of determination increasing from 69.7% in equation I to 99.0% in equation II.
