Abstract

water turbidity monitoring system has been created using a turbidity sensor and LoRa Ebyte E220 transceiver for the provision of drinking water and community sanitation (PAMSIMAS). The tool designed in this research uses two LoRa Ebyte E220 transceivers, one functions as a transmitter (sender), and the other functions as a receiver (receiver). The sending unit is equipped with a SEN0189 turbidity sensor to detect water turbidity levels, as well as a NodeMCU ESP8266 as a data processor and sender. The receiving unit is equipped with a NodeMCU ESP8266 as a data processor, an LCD to display the results of monitoring turbidity levels, and a buzzer as an alarm that sounds if the water turbidity exceeds a certain threshold. The webserver used is ThingSpeak. The research results show that the system is capable of transmitting water turbidity level data through the air by the Ebyte E220 LoRa transceiver. The SEN0189turbidity sensor system has an average error percentage of 7.6%. This error can be caused by several factors, including the sensor's sensitivity to changes in light intensity, variations in impurity particles in the water, and the sensor's inability to distinguish the types of particles present in the water. LoRa transceivers can transmit data when there is a barrier up to 800 m, while without a barrier it reaches 2000 m. The values obtained from the sensors are displayed on the LCD and ThingSpeak.

Abstract

A prototype design of an automatic room temperature, humidity, and dust control system based on Arduino Uno has been carried out. This control system is equipped with a DHT22 sensor to detect temperature and humidity, a GP2Y1010AU0F sensor to measure dust density, an L298N motor to regulate the speed of the DC fan and blower, a relay as an automatic switch for the humidifier, and an LCD to display the values read by the sensor. The system works if the measured temperature is more than 30℃ the DC fan is active, if the humidity is less than 60% the humidifier module is active, and if the detected dust density is more than 150 μg/m3 the blower is active to remove dust. The results of the study showed that the system can work well according to its respective functions. When the measured temperature and humidity exceed the set values, the fan and humidifier work to stabilize the room temperature and humidity. When the detected dust density exceeds the set value, the blower works to remove dust in the room with a success rate of 80.07%. The DHT22 sensor can measure room temperature and humidity with a temperature error value of 2.81% and a humidity error value of 5.53%. While the GP2Y1010AU0F sensor can detect dust density with an error value of 3.54%.

Abstract

Design of automatic coffee drink maker machine based on arduino uno has been successfully done. Coffee drink maker machine system consists of four parts, namely the selection of the menu of coffee drinks, detection of coffee cups, pouring coffee, sugar and cream and pouring water. The selection of coffee drinks menu is done through applications on android smartphone which is connected to the engine via a bluetooth module HC-06. Detection of cup using the censor of photodiodes. Coffee, sugar, and cream is poured and measured using solenoid doorlock. For pouring water using velve selenoid. There are three menu choices on a machine that are bitter coffee, sweet coffee, and cream coffee. For the production of bitter coffee drinks solenoid doorlock pouring coffee an average 5.03 grams in 3 seconds. For the production of sweet coffee drinks solonoid doorlock coffee pouring an average 5.33 grams sugar and pouring an average 17.50 grams within 8 seconds. For the production of coffee cream solenoid doorlock pouring coffee an average 5.27 grams, pouring sugar an average 17.46 grams and pouring cream an average 5.42 grams within 11 seconds. For pouring water using velve solonoid and stops automatically when the distance between the sensor and the surface of the ultrasonic water reaches 5 cm by the time pouring over the last 13 seconds.

Abstract

Nagari Sunua Barat memiliki potensi limbah sabut kelapa hasil perkebunan kelapa yang melimpah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok tani di Nagari Sunua Barat melalui pelatihan pengolahan limbah sabut kelapa menjadi cocopeat dan cocofiber, yang lebih memiliki nilai ekonomis dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan oleh tim dari Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, dimulai dengan tahap perencanaan yang melibatkan mitra kelompok tani untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan dan potensi yang ada pada mitra. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 47 peserta yang berasal dari kelompok tani dan masyarakat yang ada di Nagari Sunua Barat. Peserta diajarkan tentang pengelolaan sampah limbah sabut kelapa, yang dimanfaatkan menjadi cocopeat dan cocofiber. Metode yang digunakan meliputi demonstrasi, praktik langsung, dan diskusi interaktif. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari peserta. Sebagian besar mampu memahami dan mempraktikkan teknik yang diajarkan, dengan beberapa peserta mulai memproduksi cocopeat dan cocofiber untuk keperluan pribadi maupun komersial. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pengelolaan limbah yang berkelanjutan serta memberikan peluang ekonomi baru bagi kelompok tani. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk menjadikan Nagari Sunua Barat sebagai sentra pengolahan limbah sabut kelapa, sekaligus mendorong terciptanya masyarakat yang lebih peduli lingkungan dan mandiri secara ekonomi

Abstract

Research has been conducted on a mobile IoT-based moisture content measuring device as an indicator of the quality of cocoa beans, yellow coffee, and robusta coffee. Moisture content is extremely important in maintaining the quality of beans because it directly affects their quality, taste, aroma, shelf life, and safety for consumption. This device uses a Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor to detect moisture content by measuring changes in capacitance caused by dielectric changes. The moisture measuring device consists of a Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor as the moisture sensor, an ESP32 as the data processor, an LCD to display the moisture content percentage, an LED as an indicator of high moisture levels, and a Smartphone as a measurement database through Blynk. The device was tested by measuring the moisture content of three types of grain samples: cocoa beans, yellow coffee, and robusta coffee. Each sample consisted of 10 variations of moisture content measured using a comparison tool, the Cerra Tester. The average measurement error percentages were found to be 3.02% for yellow coffee, 3.12% for cocoa beans, and 3.35% for robusta coffee. From the researchresults, the designed tool is as expected and works well.

Abstract

Food safety is a critical aspect, particularly regarding the use of hazardous dyes such as Rhodamine B, which can cause liver damage and increase cancer risk if consumed excessively. This study developed a system to detect and measure the concentration of Rhodamine B in red crackers using the TCS34725 sensor. The system utilizes the sensor to measure the colour intensity of samples, which is processed using an Arduino UNO and displayed as RGB values that are converted into Rhodamine B concentrations. The detection results are displayed on an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen and complemented with a buzzer as an alarm. Validation was conducted by comparing the system's measurements with a UV-Vis spectrometer across a wavelength range of 400 nm to 600 nm for 10 Rhodamine B concentration variations, ranging from 0.5 ppm to 5 ppm. Testing was also performed on 10 red cracker samples through an extraction process. The results showed that the system achieved an accuracy of 93.86%, with a maximum wavelength of 553 nm. Two samples were detected to contain Rhodamine B at concentrations of 4.98 ppm and 5.11 ppm, respectively. This system is effective as a practical and accurate tool for ensuring food safety.

Abstract

Laboratorium adalah fasilitas penting dalam pembelajaran fisika di sekolah yang berperan dalam meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa untuk mempelajari fisika. Aktivitas di laboratorium umumnya berupa kegiatan praktikum atau demonstrasi. Agar laboratorium dapat berfungsi optimal sebagai media pembelajaran fisika, pengelolaannya perlu direncanakan dengan baik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi di beberapa SMA di Sumatera Barat, ditemukan bahwa banyak laboratorium kurang dikelola dengan baik sehingga keberadaannya tidak efektif. Siswa jarang diajak untuk praktikum, dan peralatan yang sudah disediakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan sering kali jarang digunakan, sehingga banyak yang rusak karena tidak terpakai. Tata letak dan fasilitas laboratorium sering kali kurang rapi dan belum diinventarisasi dengan baik. Guru fisika mengalami kendala dalam melaksanakan praktikum karena tidak tersedia modul atau buku panduan. Akibatnya, kegiatan praktikum yang seharusnya dilakukan di laboratorium kini hanya dilaksanakan di kelas dengan peralatan yang terbatas, sehingga potensi laboratorium tidak dimanfaatkan sepenuhnya. Atas dasar masalah-masalah ini, tim Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) melakukan pembinaan pengelolaan laboratorium fisika di SMAN 2 Sipora untuk mendukung kelancaran kegiatan praktikum dan proses pembelajaran. Tahapan kegiatan PKM meliputi: 1) Sosialisasi tentang pengelolaan laboratorium, 2) Pengembangan Laboratorium Percontohan Implementasi Merdeka Belajar, 3) Diskusi pembuatan alat-alat praktikum sederhana, 4) Diskusi pembuatan modul atau buku panduan praktikum, dan 5) Monitoring awal serta lanjutan di SMAN 2 Sipora.
