Abstract

Company performance is not only focused on internal profits but also considers external benefits, which can be evaluated using the Maqasid Sharia Index (MSI) method. This research focuses on companies listed on the IDX-MES BUMN 17 Sharia Index, launched on April 29, 2021. The study incorporates three key concepts: individual education (tahzib al-fard), the establishment of justice (iqamat al-adl), and the promotion of welfare (jalb al-mashlahah). A descriptive quantitative analysis was conducted by measuring performance through weighting and ranking based on performance indicators derived from the annual reports of 14 companies for the period 2021-2023. The TLKM achieved the highest MSI score with a ratio of 32.13%, while PTPP ranked last with a ratio of 17.38%. Overall, the companies listed on the IDX-MES BUMN 17 index demonstrated low performance based on the MSI, with ratios ranging from 17% to 30%, and an average ratio of 21.52% out of a total weight of 100%

One of the quantitative methods used in this study is proportionate random sampling. 392 of the population participated in this study after filling in a Google Form questionnaire and were active students at UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Multiple linear regression analysis was done. With the use of SPSS, gender was found to have a marginal effect on student’s investment interest in UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh, while financial knowledge and income variables were found to have a very positive effect. The research and trial results show that F count > F table. For instance, if F count value 47.251 > F table 2.672 the level of significance for the p-value is smaller (<) than 0.05 (p=0). So that financial literacy, income, and gender simultaneously have an effect on the investment interest of student’s UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The issuance of sukuk—Islamic bonds—by local governments has emerged as a viable alternative for financing infrastructure and public development, particularly in regions with special autonomy such as Aceh. This study explores the benefits and challenges of issuing municipal sukuk by the Aceh Government in light of the province’s unique legal framework under Islamic law and the scheduled termination of Special Autonomy Funds by 2027. Using a qualitative library research method, this paper reviews relevant literature, government regulations, and secondary data sources to assess the feasibility of sukuk issuance. The findings reveal several key benefits, including access to more affordable, sharia-compliant financing; reduced dependency on regional budgets and conventional loans; and the promotion of regional financial independence. However, challenges persist, such as limited regulatory clarity, insufficient infrastructure readiness, and low public literacy on sukuk instruments. To maximize the potential of sukuk, policy support, public education, and financial ecosystem strengthening are crucial. The study concludes that sukuk can serve as a strategic financial tool for sustainable development in Aceh, aligning with both economic objectives and Islamic financial principles.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of quality management implementation on improving the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the culinary sector in Karang Bahagia District. Using a quantitative method based on questionnaires, data were collected from 88 MSME operators to analyze the level of quality management principles implementation, the factors influencing it, and its impact on business performance. The findings reveal that most MSME operators have implemented basic quality management elements such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control, although aspects such as internal audits and performance measurement remain limited. Factors such as knowledge, training, owner involvement, and capital constraints were identified as key determinants of successful quality management implementation. MSMEs that adopted quality management practices demonstrated significant improvements in product quality, operational efficiency, sales, and customer loyalty. This study provides both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of more effective quality management strategies in the MSME sector.

Abstract

The Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) has shown steady growth, reflecting rising interest in Sharia-compliant investments. However, technical tools like MACD are still underutilized. This study aims to identify the optimal MACD parameter configuration (i.e., the combination of N1, N2, N3) for ISSI movements in order to generate the highest return with measurable risk. A quantitative-exploratory approach was applied using daily closing data of ISSI from 2013 to 2023. A total of 1,152 MACD parameter combinations were systematically tested using Python simulations and subsequently validated through backtesting with Pine Script on the TradingView platform. The performance of each configuration was evaluated based on cumulative return and Sharpe ratio. The findings show that the MACD configuration of (5, 21, 8) produced a cumulative return of 234% over the ten-year period, significantly outperforming the standard configuration, which yielded only 152%. Moreover, the optimal setup achieved a Sharpe ratio of 1.75, indicating superior investment performance in terms of risk-adjusted returns. Interestingly, most of the top-performing MACD configurations consisted of odd numbers. This may be associated with the five-day weekly trading cycle, in which odd-numbered periods such as 5, 7, or 9 days tend to be more responsive to short-term trend shifts. This pattern appears to align with the psychological rhythm of the relatively stable and orderly Sharia market. The study concludes that adjusting MACD parameters to suit specific market characteristics can significantly enhance the effectiveness of technical analysis and investment strategies.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and digital payment adoption on the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Using a quantitative approach with primary data collected through structured questionnaires, the analysis reveals that while not all individual variables show significant effects, together they contribute meaningfully to improving MSME performance. The findings suggest that financial literacy alone is not sufficient unless supported by access to finance, appropriate digital tools, and practical implementation strategies. This emphasizes the need for a more integrated approach in empowering MSMEs, involving training, simplified financial processes, and the use of financial technology

Abstract

One of the primary metrics used to evaluate the success of Indonesia's Islamic Commercial Banks (BUS) is profitability. The purpose of this study is to examine how the financing distribution (FDR), solvency (DER), and liquidity (CR) affected BUS's return on assets (ROA) during the period. Multiple linear regression was used to evaluate 39 observations of secondary data from 13 BUS. The findings show that ROA is positively and significantly impacted by CR and FDR, but not significantly by DER. These three factors together account for 62% of the variation in ROA. The findings emphasize the necessity of good liquidity management and funding distribution optimization in increasing the profitability of Islamic banks in Indonesia. This study's practical implications give management insights for boosting liquidity and financing methods in Islamic banking institutions, hence strengthening financial performance.

Bank Syariah Indonesia’s product development entails the application of technology to the creation of product features for Wadiah and Mudharabah savings products, particularly the online account opening method. The purpose of this study was to establish the form of product feature development implemented by Bank Syariah Indonesia KC Aceh, as well as the impact of product development on client acquisition. This research use descriptive qualitative methodology. According to the findings of the study, Bank Syariah Indonesia’s product development may be categorized as modification and growth of product lines and complementary items. The results also indicate that the creation of this product was successful, as evidenced by the increase in the number of new Bank Syariah Indonesia clients who take advantage of the product's new features. In the first year after the launch of this feature in 2020, the number of customers increased by 15,992 or 96.58% compared to the previous year's total of 8,135 clients.
