Abstract

Fostering adolescent morale can apply the role of understanding Metta to adolescents, in that way it can teach teenagers to have metta traits, behave well, and have good manners. Metta is a sense of brotherhood, friendship, selfless help, having the will to do good, seeing other creatures as equal to oneself. Metta is also a desire to make others happy and get rid of hatred and evil desires that will hurt other people and other beings. Realizing the above, the writer tries to conduct a research that aims to describe the role of understanding metta to improve the morale of adolescents at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang with teaching based on love in a Buddhist perspective. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were the Principal, Educators of Buddhist Education Learning, Studentsand Parents of SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang students. The object of this research is the role of understanding metta in the Buddhist perspective to improve the morale of adolescents at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang. The location of this research is at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang. Data collection techniques are the methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. And the results of the study show that the role of understanding metta in students at SDS Cahaya Kasih Bengkayang can be seen from the increased morale of students such as caring attitudes between others, honesty, politeness when speaking, respecting educators, helping each other, developing from understanding the role of metta.

Abstract

Based on observations, there has not been much research on the role of teachers in evaluating learning in the classroom. Whereas the research mentioned above must be done to reveal information related to the teacher's role in evaluating learning in the classroom. Based on these observations, research will be conducted on the teacher's role in evaluating learning in the classroom. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of literature study. The teacher's role in improving the quality of learning is to provide value to students, to determine the level of success of students in the learning process, to determine the success of the learning objectives made by the teacher, to determine time efficiency in the learning process, and to determine the benefits of the learning objectives that have been set. implemented in the learning process.

Abstract

Based on observations, there has not been much research on the role of the Contextual Method to increase students' understanding of the subject matter of Buddhist Religious Education. Even though the research mentioned above must be carried out to reveal information related to the role of the Contextual Method to increase students' understanding of the subject matter of Buddhist Religion Education. Based on these observations, research will be carried out on the role of the Contextual Method to increase students' understanding of the subject matter of Buddhist Religious Education. This study uses a qualitative method with a type of literature study. The results of this study are the role of the Contextual Method which is able to increase students' understanding of Buddhist Education subjects because the use of the Contextual Method can make students connect their subject matter with their daily lives and because their understanding increases, students can easily understand their lessons in class or at school. school. Then, when students understand the subject of Buddhist Education, it will make it easier for students to do the exercises given by the teacher in class. Then, understanding the subject matter by students will make students able to easily answer homework or homework given by the teacher. Furthermore, understanding the material by students can make students able to easily work on exams carried out by their teachers in class or at school.

Abstract

Based on the results of the initial observations above, it was found that teachers need to improve their learning evaluations and it is important to carry out research on learning evaluations. Based on these observations, research will be carried out regarding the importance of learning evaluation for teachers of Buddhism and Character education in class IX A of Metta Maitreya Junior High School. This study uses a qualitative method. The time for carrying out this research is January to March 2024. The research location is Metta Maitreya Junior High School which is located on Jalan Tuanku Tambusai, Puri Nangka Sari Complex, Pekanbaru. The data sources come from the Principal of Metta Maitreya Junior High School, two Buddhist and Character Education teachers, two students, and parents. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are 1. to find out whether the assessment carried out by the teacher is systematic, continuous and comprehensive for students to obtain information about students' abilities (learning outcomes) in achieving learning goals, 2. can increase teacher creativity because when creating questions tests, teachers think creatively to produce problems or questions that must be answered by students, 3. Learning evaluations can make teachers self-reflect on whether their learning methods need to be improved or not, 4. can improve the quality of teacher learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Three pupils in class III A at Metta Maitreya Elementary School Pekanbaru have yet to meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCC) established, according to preliminary observations. Given this observation, a study on how audio-visual materials can improve the learning outcomes of Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti for class III A students at Metta Maitreya Elementary School Pekanbaru will be carried out. Qualitative research methodology will be employed. The study will be conducted in 2024 between July and September. Metta Maitreya Elementary School, situated on Jln. T. Tambusai, Komp. Puri Nangka Sari, Pekanbaru, Riau, is the research site. The Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti teacher class III A pupils at Metta Maitreya Elementary School in Pekanbaru, Riau, served as the research's data source. Techniques for gathering data will include documentation, interviews, and observation. According to the study's findings, audio-visual materials help students in class III A at Metta Maitreya Elementary School Pekanbaru learn more effectively in Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti. This is supported by the study's findings, which show that, when students actively watch and listen to each audiovisual presentation, they can improve the learning outcomes of Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti for class III A students at Metta Maitreya Elementary School Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Formative assessment is carried out to continue the learning of students during the learning process, then to provide feedback (feedback) for the improvement of the learning program. This research uses the qualitative type of literature study (library research). Formative assessment can improve student learning or lectures. Six key elements informative discussion are cultural class discussion that can support conversation and use of discussion, plan learning and support students in achieving these goals, use appropriate learning methods to meet diverse student needs in the class, use respect for student understanding, provide feedback towards students and adjust learning according to the needs of students in class, and active involvement of students in the learning process. Based on this opinion, every Buddhist lecturer can use Formative Forms to improve the results of his lectures. This means that it is really important to be done by lecturers of Buddhist Education students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan belajar dan metode pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru yang berjumlah 100 orang dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 100 orang. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan prosedur perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan penyebaran angket telah terlaksana dengan baik, sehingga diperoleh hasil bahwa pengaruh lingkungan belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,542 (54,2%). Kemudian, pengaruh metode pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,685 (68,5%). Sedangkan, pengaruh lingkungan belajar dan metode penelitian terhadap hasil belajar secara bersama-sama sebesar 0,744 (74,4%). Melalui hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan lingkungan belajar, metode pembelajaran dan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar dapat ditingkatkan melalui perbaikan lingkungan belajar dan metode pembelajaran, baik secara parsial (sendiri) maupun simultan (bersama-sama).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan program beasiswa Permata Paket C di Yayasan Sutra Bakti dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas pelaksanaan program beasiswa Permata Paket C di Yayasan Sutra Bakti. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2023. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Ketua Yayasan Paket C, tutor sekolah, siswa Paket C dan masyarakat. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan didapatkan bahwa faktor pendukung pelaksanaan program beasiswa Sekolah Permata Paket C Plus di Yayasan Sutra Bakti adalah a) siswa yang melanjutkan sekolah paket C mendapatkan biaya dari yayasan yaitu biaya sekolah dan biaya hidup selama mengikuti program sekolah paket C, b) beasiswa paket C akan memberikan bekal pengetahuan mengenai sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan saat bekerja, kemudian setelah lulus dari paket C siswa dapat langsung bekerja, c) program paket C berupaya mencerdaskan bangsa setara dengan lulusan SMA, d) program kesetaraan Paket C dengan beasiswa ini berupaya menyetarakan lulusan paket C dengan ijazah SMA. Kemudian, efektivitas pelaksanaan program beasiswa Sekolah Permata Paket C Plus di Yayasan Sutra Bakti terbukti efektif. Hal ini dikarenakan paket ini dapat menyediakan tenaga kerja yang setelah lulus dapat langsung bekerja di masyarakat yang memiliki sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan.

Abstract

Dalam pandangan agama Budha, karakter dan sikap seorang manusia sangat penting dan mendasar untuk mencapai kehidupan dan masa depan yang cemerlang dan bahagia. Sikap dan karakter yang baik ditunjukkan melalui kebiasaan-kebiasaan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kebiasaan-kebiasaan baik yang diulang-ulang akan membentuk budaya yang baik. SMK Mudita merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang bercorak Budha Maitreya di Kota Singkawang. Sikap dasar yang harus dikembangkan oleh siswa dan karyawan di SMK Mudita antara lain adalah mengembangkan karakter yang baik di lingkungan sekolah. Salah satu budaya yang dikembangkan di SMK Mudita adalah budaya antusias. Budaya antusias di sekolah bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan karakter yang mendorong siswa dan karyawan untuk berhasil secara moral dan akademis di sekolah, selain itu juga menanamkan akhlak yang baik kepada siswa dan karyawan ketika terjun di masyarakat. Selain itu, budaya antusias akan mendatangkan kebahagiaan dan kedamaian bagi setiap individu dalam kehidupan ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, pendidik bahasa Indonesia, TU, pengelola kantin, petugas kebersihan, orang tua siswa. Objek penelitian ini adalah penerapan budaya sekolah berbasis budaya antusias di SMK Mudita Singkawang. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian antara lain mendeskripsikan 1) Penerapan budaya antusias bekerja di SMK Mudita Singkawang. 2) Penerapan budaya antusias berhubungan dengan orang lain di SMK Mudita Singkawang. 3) Penerapan budaya antusias mencintai hidup di SMK Mudita Singkawang.

Abstract

Alumni of the Buddhist Religious Education Study Program (PKB) STAB Maitreyawira are spread across various places, with various jobs, for example, some become Educators/Teachers, religious instructors, civil servants, and self-employed/entrepreneurs, and so on. The focus of this study is to analyze the perception/understanding of PKB Study Program alumni regarding the principles of business law in Buddhist teachings, the application of moral values in business law practices, and the factors that influence them in applying these principles in the world of work. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of PKB Study Program alumni STAB Maitreyawira towards the concept of Buddhist business law and the factors that influence them in applying these principles in the world of work. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The study results show that PKB Study Program alumni STAB Maitreyawira have a positive perception of Buddhist business law and strive to apply it in the world of work. However, various factors influence the implementation of these values. Namely, internal factors include: Psychological Needs, Educational Background, Experience factors, Good looking values (attractive) and Self-confidence, and external factors include: Buddhist Business Law Material during Lectures, Economic Conditions, Technology, and Digital. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen Buddhist business law in the curriculum and support from the Alumni community in building a business environment based on moral and ethical values
