Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of animated children's films and learning interest in Buddhist Religious Education among third-grade students at Maitreyawira Elementary School, Palembang. The background of this study is based on the need for engaging and motivating learning methods, particularly at the elementary school level. Animated films, as an audiovisual medium, are believed to stimulate student attention and engagement, while learning interest is an internal factor that influences learning outcomes. The research used a survey with a quantitative approach and correlation analysis techniques. The population in this study was all 132 third-grade students at Maitreyawira Elementary School, with a randomly selected sample of 57 students. The data collection instrument, a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability, covered three main variables: animated films (X1), learning interest (X2), and learning outcomes (Y). Data normality was tested using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, while data analysis was conducted using simple correlation, partial correlation, and multiple correlation with a significance level of α = 0.05. The results of the study show that: (1) there is a significant relationship between children's animated films and student learning outcomes, (2) there is a significant relationship between learning interest and learning outcomes, and (3) there is a significant relationship between animated films and learning interest simultaneously towards learning outcomes. These findings conclude that the use of appropriate animated film media and increasing students' interest in learning can contribute positively to improving student learning outcomes, especially in the subject of Buddhist Religious Education.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan mengetahui kondisi-kondisi apa saja yang bisa mengancam kerukunan kota Pekanbaru, dan pendekatan apa yang bisa ditawarkan ajaran Buddha dalam memperkokoh kerukunan tersebut. Kajian ini merupakan kajian deskriptif kualitatif dengan setting di kantor Forum Kerukunan Umat Beragama (FKUB) kota Pekanbaru. Teknik pengumpulan datanya dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Untuk analisis data digunakan teknik analisis induktif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada sejumlah masalah yang bisa merusak kerukunan umat beragama di kota Pekanbaru diantaranya adalah masalah Pendirian rumah ibadah, penggunaan rumah tinggal sebagai tempat ibadah, penyebaran misi agama pada umat yang telah beragama dan kurangnya pemahaman umat beragama terhadap peraturan pemerintah dan pentingnya menjaga Kerukunan. (2) Ajaran Buddha yang penuh cinta kasih dan universal dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan dalam memperkokoh kerukunan hidup umat beragama di kota Pekanbaru melalui pendekatan: dialog dan musyawarah, sprit ajaran Agama, ajaran Kerukunan, moderasi beragama dan konsep Dunia Satu Keluarga.

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil temuan awal, sebanyak lima siswa dari Kelas XI AK SMK Metta Maitreya belum mencapai Kriteria Kelulusan Minimal yang ditentukan. Berdasarkan hasil temuan tersebut, penelitian ini akan difokuskan pada bagaimana Guru Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti yang Berkualitas sebagai Kunci Mutu Pembelajaran di Kelas XI AK SMK Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru? Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari Agustus hingga Oktober 2025. Penelitian akan dilaksanakan di SMK Metta Maitreya yang terletak di Jl. Tuanku Tambusai, Kompleks Puri Nangka Sari, Pekanbaru. Data yang diperlukan, dikumpulkan dari guru Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti di Kelas XI AK SMK Metta Maitreya. Metode pengumpulan data akan meliputi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti yang Berkualitas menjadi Kunci Mutu Pembelajaran di Kelas XI AK SMK Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. Hasil penelitian mendukung kesimpulan bahwa Guru Pendidikan Agama Buddha dan Budi Pekerti Berkualitas Kunci Mutu Pembelajaran di Kelas XI AK SMK Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Alumni of the Buddhist Religious Education Study Program (PKB) STAB Maitreyawira are spread across various places, with various jobs, for example, some become Educators/Teachers, religious instructors, civil servants, and self-employed/entrepreneurs, and so on. The focus of this study is to analyze the perception/understanding of PKB Study Program alumni regarding the principles of business law in Buddhist teachings, the application of moral values in business law practices, and the factors that influence them in applying these principles in the world of work. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of PKB Study Program alumni STAB Maitreyawira towards the concept of Buddhist business law and the factors that influence them in applying these principles in the world of work. The research method used is a qualitative approach. The study results show that PKB Study Program alumni STAB Maitreyawira have a positive perception of Buddhist business law and strive to apply it in the world of work. However, various factors influence the implementation of these values. Namely, internal factors include: Psychological Needs, Educational Background, Experience factors, Good looking values (attractive) and Self-confidence, and external factors include: Buddhist Business Law Material during Lectures, Economic Conditions, Technology, and Digital. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen Buddhist business law in the curriculum and support from the Alumni community in building a business environment based on moral and ethical values

Abstract

This Community Service Activity aims to provide training to educators and the community around the Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru School on how to make Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) independently and hygienically. Virgin Coconut Oil is a natural product that has many benefits, both for health and beauty, and has the potential to become an entrepreneurial product with economic value. This training was carried out through lectures, demonstrations, and direct practice by participants. The results of the activity showed that the training went smoothly and succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of participants in processing coconuts into VCO. In addition, this activity also encouraged the spirit of entrepreneurship and the use of natural products among the community. Thus, this training provides a positive contribution to community empowerment and improving skills based on local potential.
