Abstract

Energy management is very crucial now days due to the energy crisis and considering the emission produce by the activity. The production of energy releases large amount carbon emission to the environment, in addition the energy usage also produces carbon emission. Therefore, the unwise usage of energy leads to damage environment due to double amount of carbon emission. Application an energy management has an important role in reducing energy use in hotel particularly. Energy management in a hotel has produced a decision to apply a heat recovery system at their air condition system. It has significantly reduced oil consumption of the boiler from 772.274 litre/year to 158.472 litre/year that means a reduced on the carbon emission of 1.641.307 kg /year.

Abstract

The environmental impacts due to technology applications have been an interesting issue for researchers and engineers worldwide. Innovations in development of environmentally friendly technology have been implemented to minimise severe consequences of the impacts, including in electricity generation technology. It has been known that the use of fossil fuel will increase the emission of greenhouse gasses, such as SO2, NO and CO2. A strong regulation for emission of greenhouse gasses has imposed a great extent of efforts in reducing the emitted gases. At present, the electricity need for Penida island is mainly generated using diesel generating system. The use of large amount of diesel oil for electricity generation certainly increases the emitted greenhouse gasses. This paper discusses an alternative technology in wind energy utilisation for electricity generation at Penida Island. The position of Penida island, which is in the ocean front region, yields a high potential use of wind energy for electricity generation. The analysis results show that at the Penida Island, the electricity may be produced with a maximum power of 50kW from a single wind turbine. In order to fulfil the total electrical energy need for the island, it is required to develop hundreds of turbines. Development of this amount of wind turbines certainly produces other related environmental impacts, such as ecological impacts, visual aesthetics and generated noises.

Abstract

Abstrak—Untuk mencukupi suplai energi listrik ke semua pelanggan, maka pemerintah telah mengalokasikan biaya investasi guna pengembangan sektor kelistrikan di Timor Leste. Biaya investasi untuk pembangunan pembangkit, transmisi 150 kV maupun sistem distribusi semuanya bersumber dari anggaran belanja negara atau Orçamento Geral do Eestado (OGE) de Timor Leste. Selain itu setiap tahun pemerintah tetap mengalokasikan anggaran guna mempertahankan kelangsungan pengoperasian dan penyediaan energi listrik yang berkesinambungan, akibat dari kerugian yang dialami pihak EDTL setiap tahunnya. Salah satu penyebab kerugian ini yaitu mengingat penetapan tarif listrik selama ini sangat rendah dan belum sepenuhnya berdasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip tarif yang ekonomis. Untuk itu perlu menentukan tarif listrik yang memenuhi nilai keekonomian agar pihak penyedia tenaga listrik dan para konsumen bisa memperoleh keuntungan dan harga yang wajar.Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menganalisa dan mengadakan perhitungan tarif listrik yang mengacu pada nilai keekonomiannya dengan menggunakan metode long run marginal cost (LRMC). Studi ini hanya membahas tentang penentuan tarif listrik di Timor Leste dengan menggunakan metode LRMC. Sehingga dari pembahasannya akan memberikan gambaran mengenai pemanfaatan sumber daya yang seimbang antara biaya pemanfaatan energi dan biaya pasokan energi listrik.Dari hasil analisis dan perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwa tarif listrik rata-rata yang diimplentasikan oleh pemerintah saat ini sebesar $0,15/kWh tidak memberikan indikator keuntungan kepada pihak penyedia tenaga listrik. Namun, dari perhitungan dengan metode LRMC dapat diketahui bahwa tarif rata-rata yang wajar sebesar $0,37/kWh. Dengan demikian, pihak EDTL akan memperoleh peningkatan pendapatan jika dibandingkan dengan eksisting tarif 2012.Kata kunci—Studi Tarif listrik, Alokasi tarif Tiap Kategori Pelanggan, EDTL Timor Leste, Long Run Marginal Cost, PLTD Hera dan Betano.

Abstract

Abstrak—Sistem kelistrikan kawasan Tiga Nusa yang awalnya dioperasikan secara isolated, kini telah mendapatkan sumber suplai baru dari pulau Bali melalui kabel laut Bali–Nusa Lembongan. Dengan beroperasinya kabel laut, akan berpengaruh terhadap aliran daya, besar susut energi, dan tingkat keamanan suplai.Analisis diawali dengan melakukan peramalan beban hingga tahun 2033 menggunakan metode time series. Selanjutnya nilai load factor dan loss factor sistem kelistrikan Tiga Nusa dihitung, untuk digunakan dalam perhitungan susut energi. Analisis tingkat keamanan suplai akan menggunakan 3 skenario dengan penerapan kondisi n-1.Dari hasil analisis, diperoleh: besar susut energi tahunan sistem kelistrikan Tiga Nusa sebelum beroperasinya kabel laut ialah sebesar 201,48 MWh. Dengan mengoperasikan 2 line kabel laut Bali-Nusa Lembongan mengakibatkan susut energi sebesar 297,84 MWh, selanjutnya dengan mengoperasikan 1 line kabel laut mengakibatkan susut energi sebesar 407,34 MWh. Hasil analisis tingkat keamanan suplai sistem kelistrikan Tiga Nusa dengan beroperasinya kabel laut akan tetap aman hingga tahun 2033.Kata kunci—Kabel Laut; Aliran Daya; Susut Energi; Tingkat Keamanan Suplai

Abstract

Abstrak—Masih kurangnya suatu aktifitas manajemen energi yang berdisiplin untuk mematikan AC pada saat keluar dari ruangan yang berakibat pada tidak efisiennya penggunaan energi listrik. Dari hasil kajian Kementrian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral menunjukan bahwa setengah dari pemakaian energi listik pada sebuah gedung di pergunakan untuk pemakaian AC.Dengan mengacu pada permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan metode studi kepustakaan metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan membaca literatur-literatur yang berhubungan dengan penggunaan kontrol AC otomatis. Maka di rancang suatu sistem control Air Conditioning automatis berbasis passive infrared receiver (PIR). yang dapat membaca gerakan dan setiap signyal hasil pembacaan akan dikirim ke mikrokontroler ATmega16 kemudian akan mengirimkan signyal ke AC. Setelah AC menyala LCD akan menampilkan hasil pembacaan PIR dan LM35 yang bekerja sebagai sensor suhu. Bila suhu pada AC tidak sesuai dengan yang diinginkan pengguna dapat merubah sesuai dengan keinginan, agar tidak mengurangi rasa kenyamanan penggunana.Dari hasil yang didapat pada sistem control Air Conditioning automatis, sudah dapat melakukan ON/OFF automatis pada AC dengan perangkat yang portable. Rancangan control AC automatis ini ialah bekerja pada saat merespon aktifitas manusia dalam sebuah ruangan. Dengan mempergunakan sensor Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR) dan sensor LM35 berbasis mikrokontroler ATmega16.Kata kunci: PIR, ATmega16, control AC automatis.

Abstract

Abstrak—Pemanfaatan energi surya sebagai sumber energi listrik di Desa Ban, bekerja secara stand alone dalam bentuk Solar Home System (SHS), dimana 65,83% SHS tidak dapat beroperasi sehingga berpengaruh terhadap kehidupan ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat.Kelanjutan dari itu, maka dilakukan penelitian dengan mengambil sampel sebanyak 62 responden, yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. 62 responden terdiri dari 31 responden dengan SHS berfungsi, dan 31 responden dengan SHS tidak berfungsi untuk menjawab kuesioner. Data hasil kuesioner yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji beda nonparametrik dengan uji Mann-Whitney.Hasil analisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney, menunjukan perbedaan yang bermakna antara responden dengan SHS masih berfungsi dengan responden dengan SHS tidak berfungsi dalam kehidupan ekonomi dan sosial, dengan nilai probabilitas kurang dari 0,05.Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, penggunaan PLTS sebagai listrik pedesaan berdampak terhadap kehidupan masyarakat, dengan adanya peningkatan kehidupan ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat Desa Ban, Kubu, Karangasem.Kata kunci—Energi listrik terbarukan, PLTS/SHS, dampak ekonomi, dampak sosial

Abstract

PLTS is one of the solutions to produce electrical energy that can save electricity payment ratesand has a good impact on the surrounding environment. This study aims to analyze the development ofPLTS utilization in DKI Jakarta, types and total PLTS found in DKI Jakarta. This research was conductedby collecting data from journals, articles and news on the internet in the form of PLTS data in DKI Jakarta,type and capacity of PLTS, year of operation, location, ownership status and institutions that built PLTS.Then from the data, a review is carried out regarding the number, location, and total capacity of the PLTSbuilt every year, the results of this study are the number of PLTS in DKI Jakarta is 124 units with a totalcapacity of 11,088 kWp, with rooftop PLTS totaling 119 PLTS units. with a capacity of 10,29 MW andPLTS Ground-mount as many as 5 units with a PLTS capacity of 0,8 MW. The PLTS development in DKIJakarta has met the RUEN target of 73% to reach the 13.8 MW target in 2025.

Abstract

Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) is one of the potential candidates for the next generation solar cells. One of the most attractive features of the DSSC is the low production costs. The utilization of natural dyes is a new area for investigation due to their unique capability to absorb photons from natural sunlight or artificial light and convert it into electric current. The purpose of this study is to determine the potential of natural dye from red dragon fruit waste as a dye sensitizer. Red dragon fruit peel is initially extracted using methanol and the solution absorption spectra then is characterized using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The absorption spectra is measured within a wavelength range of 400-800 nm. The characterization results show that the maximum absorption spectrum is at a wavelength of 446 nm. The natural dye solution then is used to immerse Fluorine Tin Oxide (FTO) coated with titanium dioxide (TiO2). The glass FTO is immersed in the dye solution for 24 hours. DSSC then is prepared by sandwiching the working electrode and counter electrode. An electrolyte solution is used to fill the interface between the two electrodes. The current and voltage (I-V) characteristics of DSSC is finally measured using amperemeter and voltmeter. The results indicated that the natural dye from the peel of red dragon fruit has potential as a dye sensitizer. Further research is still required to improve the performance of the DSSC.

Abstract

Stemming is the process of finding the basic word of a word in the text. The stemming algorithm built by Nazief-Adriani is the best stemming algorithm for Indonesian, and has been refined by Asian Jelita. However, references related to the Nazief-Adriani stemming algorithm are still difficult to find given that the algorithm is an internal publication. Therefore, in this study, will be built stemming algorithm for Indonesian news digital text based on the stemming algorithm Nazief-Adriani and Jelita Asian. The evaluation in this study was done before and after the addition of rules and more complete basic word dictionary. Both evaluations were performed by calculating Precision, Recall and F-Measure values between automatic and manual stemming results. Preliminary tests of the stemming algorithm Nazief-Adriani and Jelita Asian found some new basic words, abbreviations, entities and foreign terms that appear common in the news text but have not stored in the basic word dictionary. Furthermore, there are some unrecognized affixed words in defined rules. The addition of basic words, abbreviations, entities and foreign terms to the basic word dictionary, along with the addition of rules can improve the performance of the stemming algorithm built on this study. Thus, the completeness basic word dictionary and the accuracy of rules play a very important role in the success of an automatic stemming algorithm.

Abstract

The Indonesian Language Sign System (SIBI) is a medium used by deaf people to communicate with the wider community. SIBI is Indonesian that is presented by hand. The sentence structure (morphology) of SIBI is the same as the Indonesian language, SIBI also recognizes the prefix, principal and suffix sign word. This research discusses how to make stemming for SIBI, the algorithm used for stemming is Nazief Adiri. Stemming for SIBI separates input sentences, words through the Text Processing process. Then the word in Stemming so that it can be separated into prefix, main, and suffix words. After stemming, the words obtained in indexing can find the right SIBI, by using ID. Good stemming must pay attention to Indonesian Morphology. The number of words used for this stemming trial is 50 words. By using the Confusion Matrix method found 0.94% accuracy, 93% recall, and 84% precision.
