Abstract

NA Padangsidimpuan's da'wah language style on Facebook is analyzed because there has been a shift in da'wah style in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Initially, da'wah was carried out in the form of recitations, which in reality had shown that there was a lack of interest in NA who were millennials in participating in the study. This is known based on the statement of the leader himself who complained about the enthusiasm of members in attending the study that had been held. This research offers one of the innovations for NA to preach in the digital era through Facebook. The goal is to be closer to millennial NA who tend to live longer in cyberspace than in the real world. The use of this platform as a medium of da'wah and also involving all NA in practicing it has generated a very positive response. Through a da'wah-themed language style by giving an attractive hash (#), NA's da'wah on Facebook becomes more positive and interactive. In addition, NA members become more communicative and invite curiosity for those who see the status of their da'wah writings. Thus, useful da'wah has been realized by utilizing the media favored by today's millennials. Similar research can still be done from another point of view, such as from the point of view of netizens' comments in the comment’s column, it can be interesting research as well in the future.

Abstract

The political education discourse in the development of democracy in Indonesia has influenced the progress of the education system. This is inseparable from the long process of history with various educational political products that have been produced that contribute to the progress of the nation's education. The political education discourse in Indonesia is still proceeding in producing an ideal democratic system. In political discourse, education is still used as one of the main issues in raising public confidence in the leaders, starting from colonialism, a new era, reformation to the present. Thus, the politics of education is one important thing in realizing a positive symbol of democracy in Indonesia.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan perilaku bahasa pedagang Angkola dalam mengungkap proses eksistensialnya. Mengingat pedagang adalah orang-orang yang sangat sibuk dan sangat menghargai waktu, di sini akan diungkap bagaimana pedagang mengedepankan eksistensi terhadap sesuatu secara lisan. Penelitian ini menawarkan agar studi kasus ini dapat dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL). Datanya diperoleh dari dua belas pedagang Angkola, enam orang laki-laki dan enam orang perempuan, melalui wawancara yang ditranskrip dan dianalisis dengan analisis transitivitas. Temuannya berupa pola proses eksistensial yang ditemukan adalah pola standar (proses + eksisten) beserta pola variannya, pola inversi (eksisten + proses) beserta pola variannya, dan pola proses (eksistennya lesap atau morfem zero (ø)). Selanjutnya, proses yang muncul adalah adong 'ada' dan nadong 'tidak ada' beserta variannya. Tidak ditemukan data yang menunjukkan adalanya terdapat dan muncul sebagai penanda lain dari proses eksistensial. Lebih lanjut lagi, pengalaman eksistensi dan non-eksistensi pedagang dapat terungkap dari jumlah konstituen proses yang muncul beserta pilihan diksi yang digunakan. Semoga, hasil penelitian ini dapat menambah kerangka teoretis dalam mengenali ciri-ciri karakter pedagang di bidang ekonomi dan juga pengayaan teoretis SFL sebagai pendekatan yang dapat mengungkapkan pola bahasa di berbagai bidang.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the degraded understanding of partitions among the younger generation as a form of politeness in building student character. The research method is qualitative and descriptive with data collection techniques in the form of listening and recording 20 class XII students of Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ahliyah Aek Badak. In addition, to confirm the data, interviews were also conducted as data validation with three informants. The results showed that based on test results, out of 67 speeches, not all students were able to answer half of the 67 speeches. This confirms and proves that there has been a degradation in students' understanding of class names which will automatically affect the way they behave in society in everyday life. The values of character education that are expected to be instilled starting from mutual cooperation, togetherness, rights and obligations, tolerance, compassion, and holong, so that kinship is maintained properly have not all been implemented because of the understanding of the naming of the partutoron of the students being tested. It's not finished yet, so it takes a shared responsibility to fix it.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian yang telah dikemukakan, penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam syair  nyanyian mambue anak pada  suku  Batak Angkola di Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Tujuan penelitian adalah (1) Mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis nyanyian mambue anak pada  suku  BatakAngkola di Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara dan (2) Mendeskripsikan  nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam  lirik  nyanyian mambue anak pada suku  Batak Angkola di Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Data yang terkumpul melalui teknik-teknik yang telah dikemukakan di atas kemudian diolah atau diproses sebagai berikut (1) Mengumpulkan data tentang Kata Majemuk Bahasa Batak Angkola yang diperoleh dari masyarakat. (2) Data yang diperoleh berupa ujaran-ujaran informan, ditranskripsikan ke dalam bentuk tulisan. (3) Mengklasifikasikan data yang diperoleh berdasarkan permasalahan yang diteliti. (3) Data yang telah diperoleh diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia dan menyusun laporan hasil analisis data. Dan (3) Menarik simpulan. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian mengenai nilai-nilai edukatif dalam lirik Nyanyian Mambue anak pada acara pernikahan Suku Batak Angkola Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan Provinsi Sumatera Utara dapat disimpulkan (1) Nilai-nilai edukatif religious, (2) Nilai-nilai edukatif ketangguhan, (3) Nilai-nilai edukatif  kepedulian, dan (4) Nilai-nilai Kejujuran. Kata Kunci: Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan, Kearifan Lokal, Nyanyian Mambue Anak, dan Suku Batak Angkola.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine mental health quotes for a positive mindset after the Covid-19 pandemic hit especially in digital era. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source is 65 quotes from World Health Mental Day 2022, Make Mental Health for All A Global Priority on a very large banner. Data collection techniques include library techniques, see, and record. The analysis is qualitative content analysis. The presentation is descriptive and argumentative. The results of the study show that when someone wants to give quotes that aim to create a positive mindset, the tendency for the type of language style that appears consists of: Association 50%, Paradox 17%, Climax 15%, Allegory 8%, Anticlimax 6%, Irony and Rhetorical 2% each. The findings from this study are in the form of association style patterns with criticism, conditions, affection, prohibitions, definitive, optimistic, and advice patterns. The pattern of Paradox language style is patterned as suggestion, alert, prohibition, annoyance, consistency, and introspection. Command and support patterned Climax language styles. Allegory style pattern with an optimistic pattern. Anticlimax stylized pattern with prohibition pattern. Irony language style pattern which is patterned as a prohibition for satire. The patterned Rhetorical style of language asks something. Thus, the novelty revealed of the synergy from the fields of linguistics and counseling can produce more specific, effective, and efficient counseling therapies in the future, especially in mental health. Abstract

The application of discipline is a character strengthening that produces knowledgeable and noble graduates. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The selected informants were teachers from three schools which consisted of the Santitham Muslim Foundation School, the Vuttisat Pittayanusorn School, and the Adameesuksavittaya School. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Then, data reduction, data classification, data presentation, and drawing conclusions are data analysis techniques. Adameesuksavittaya school appears to excel in dress discipline as evidenced by three statements each at 13% and discipline in worship as evidenced by five statements each at 11%. Then, the Santitham Muslim Foundation School looks superior in student obedience in time discipline as evidenced by two statements of 16% each. Meanwhile, the Vuttisat Pittayanusorn School appears to have excelled in student compliance in discipline as evidenced by three statements of 14% each. Thus, the novelty of the level of student discipline compliance can reveal the characteristics of school education in showing its good image to the community. This research resulted in a statement that the tendency of students to obey the rules in their schools can be reflected in their daily behavior.

Abstract

Stunting education is crucial for children to grasp the perils of stunting and uphold their health and well-being. Educating children about this matter is challenging, given their susceptibility to boredom and difficulty in comprehending complex concepts. Innovative approaches are essential to captivate their attention and facilitate comprehension. In Mompang Jae Village, Mandailing Natal Regency, stunting education was conducted for a cohort of children using persuasive posters and videos. The study involved 30 child participants, employing a persuasive educational method. The percentage of respondents with limited knowledge plummeted from 67% to 33%, while those with a strong grasp of the topic surged from 17% to 67%. Effective knowledge enhancement can be achieved through diverse methods, including education. Incorporating visually appealing educational aids, such as persuasive posters, aids information absorption due to their visually intuitive nature. These posters are prominently displayed at the local healthcare center (posyandu), designed to engage children's attention and reinforce the significance of combating stunting. Abstract

Pelatihan pemetaan potensi siswa berbasis multiple intelligence bagi guru BK sekolah Muhammadiyah di Kota Padang Sidempuan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman guru khususnya guru bimbingan konseling atau konselor siswa untuk dapat meningkatkan potensi dan prestasi siswa. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Pelatihan ini memuat kegiatan psikoedukasi, FGD dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yang sudah dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut: 1) mitra memahami bagaimana mengadministrasikan instrument multiple intelligence; 2) mitra sudah mampu melakukan analisis terhadap instrument MI; 3) mitra sudah mampu memberikan interpretasi terhadap instrumen MI; 4) mitra mampu menerapkan hasil interpretasi MI terhadap pembelajaran di kelas, pemetaan potensi, minat bakat dan penjurusan serta mengarahkan profesi atau karir yang tepat sesuai dengan potensi siswa.

Abstract

AbstractThis topic was chosen because a forum for children in Pudun Julu to explore English literacy in the surrounding environment is still limited. The team of dedication to society offers a method of service with material related to time in two stages. Phase I includes providing material, reading practice, and material comprehension. Furthermore, phase II includes assistance by practicing every child's reading, pronouncing vocabulary well, answering the quiz, and speaking practices alternately. The result of this dedication to society activity is an increased understanding of insight and motivation of children’s English literacy in Telling Time. The urgency of the results of this study is the awareness of children about the importance of English literacy for their future through discipline in respecting time. Thus, the children have gained a reinforcement of literacy in the form of the application of time discipline in English appropriately, properly, and correctly.
