Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan bekerjasama anak usia 5-6 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bekerjasama anak melalui permainan bakiak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Model tindakan yang digunakan adalah model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart. Subjek penelitian adalah anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Cenderawati Abepura yang berjumlah 15 anak. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan bekerjasama anak. Peningkatan tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil observasi awal yang baru mencapai rata-rata 50,55%, meningkat pada siklus I tindakan 1 menjadi 54,44%, siklus I tindakan 2 mencapai 67,21%, dan pada Siklus I tindakan 3 mencapai 70,90%. Pada siklus II tindakan 1 nilai kemampuan kerjasama mencapai 73,88% dan pada siklus II tindakan 2 telah mencapai 81,10%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa permainan bakiak dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bekerjasama anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Cenderawati Abepura

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya penggunaan Teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini pada masa pandemi covid-19 tahap II di Papua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hambatan penggunaan TIK dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini pada masa pandemi covid-19 tahap II di Papua. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah guru PAUD sebanyak 56 orang yang berasal dari 40 lembaga PAUD dan tersebar di 10 Kabupaten/Kota yang ada di Provinsi Papua dan Papua barat. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket/kuesioner. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hambatan penggunaan TIK diantaranya berkaitan dengan terbatasnya sarana dan prasarana, kurangnya kemampuan menggunakan TIK, kesulitan mengakses materi/bahan ajar, kesulitan menentukan dan menggunakan metode pembelajaran, kesulitan komunikasi, serta kesulitan dalam melakukan penilaian. Implikasi penelitian ini diantaranya: 1) Memberikan informasi yang akurat tentang hambatan penggunaan TIK yang dialami guru dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini pada masa pandemi covid-19 tahap II di Papua sehingga pemangku kebijakan dapat membuat suatu kerangka pelatihan guru dan pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran online untuk anak usia dini.

Abstract

Pengaruh Metode Proyek Terhadap Sikap Tanggungjawab Anak. Perkembangan anak usia dini pada setiap tahap perkembangan mengalami perubahan yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek, termasuk perkembangan sosial dan moral. Sikap tanggungjawab sebagai bagian penting dari karakter, menjadi elemen krusial yang perlu ditanamkan sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh metode proyek terhadap sikap tanggungjawab anak di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Abepura, Kota Jayapura. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimental one group pre-test - post-test. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak di TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Abepura, Kota Jayapura. Penelitian melibatkan 26 anak sebagai sampel penelitian yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Observasi digunakan sebagai teknik pengumpulan data, sementara analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dari rata-rata pretest (21,42) ke posttest (29,65), dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Kesimpulannya, metode proyek memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan sikap tanggungjawab anak. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pendidik dan orang tua tentang efektivitas metode proyek dalam membentuk sikap tanggungjawab pada anak usia dini.

Abstract

Language development in children, especially listening, is still low. This is because in the learning process teachers still use conventional methods. In the learning process, children tend to be passive and do not respond to the information provided by the teacher. Therefore, the aim of this research is to analyze the effect of the Total Physical Response (TPR) method on the listening skills of children aged 5-6 years. This type of research is experimental research that uses a one group pretest and posttest design. The populations in the study were all early childhood children at PAUD. The sample in this study consisted of 15 children who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method is carried out through observation using an instrument in the form of an observation sheet. The data analysis method for testing the hypothesis uses the paired sample t-test. The results of the research show that the average pretest score is 2.10, increasing in posttest data to 3.60, and the significance value is 0.000 <0.05, so it can be concluded that the Total Physical Response (TPR) method has a positive effect on the listening skills of children aged 5-6 years. The results of this research have positive implications for the field of education, especially early childhood education because the research produces findings that support previous research conducted in the Eastern region of Indonesia whose samples had different characteristics from previous research.

Abstract

Keterbatasan guru PAUD dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif, khususnya dalam penggunaan teknik origami dan kirigami, mendorong dilaksanakannya pelatihan ini. Tujuan utama dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru PAUD di Kabupaten Jayapura dalam mengintegrasikan teknik origami dan kirigami ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sesi pelatihan, tanya jawab, dan praktek langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa semua peserta (100%) berhasil menyelesaikan pelatihan dengan sangat baik. Sebanyak 26 peserta (89,66%) mampu menggunakan teknik origami dan kirigami dengan sangat baik, sementara 3 peserta (10,34%) dengan kategori baik. Tanggapan peserta juga sangat positif. 75,86% peserta menyatakan materi sangat memuaskan, 86,21% menilai metode penyampaian sangat baik, dan 79,32% merasa instruksi sangat jelas. Dalam hal pemerolehan pengetahuan, 68,97% menyatakan mendapat pengetahuan baru yang sangat banyak. Kualitas bahan dan alat dinilai sangat baik oleh 51,72% peserta, dan 55,17% merasa sangat percaya diri dalam membuat origami dan kirigami setelah pelatihan. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan dan kepercayaan diri guru PAUD dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh media loose parts terhadap kemampuan pra menulis anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest dan posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh anak usia dini di TK Kemala Bhayangkari Sentani. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 17 anak yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan uji paired sample t-test. Hasil uji normalitas data menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dimana nilai signifikansi data pretest 0,100> 0,05, dan Posttest 0,784 > 0,05. Hasil uji homogenitas juga menunjukkan bahwa data homogen dengan nilai signifikansi 0,579 > 0,05. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 2,09 meningkat pada data posttest menjadi 3,59. Terlihat nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Oleh karenanya, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan media loose part berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan pra menulis anak.

Abstract

Difficulty in recognizing geometric shapes in early childhood at YPPK Bintang Kecil Kindergarten, Abepura, Jayapura City, can hinder children's cognitive development and readiness for future mathematics learning. This study aims to improve children's ability to recognize, differentiate, and classify geometric shapes through a game-based learning approach. Involving 12 children aged 5–6 years, this study followed the Kemmis and McTaggart model for classroom action research, which was carried out for two cycles, each consisting of three actions. Data were collected through observation and testing, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed a significant increase in children's shape recognition skills, with an average score increasing from 49.30% in the pre-cycle to 91.67% at the end of the second cycle. This increase was supported by the use of intriguing and concrete media, varied learning methods adjusted to children's learning styles, and the integration of games into learning activities. We conclude that the geometry game-based learning approach effectively enhances geometric shape recognition in early childhood. Further research is recommended to apply similar strategies in various educational settings and explore the use of digital educational games to further improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a natural science learning game oriented towards local Papuan culture for grade IV elementary school students that is feasible and effective. This research uses a qualitative approach with R&D (Research and Development) research methods with the Lee & Owen development model. The results of the formative evaluation showed an average feasibility test of material experts, learning design experts, and media experts of 3.94  with good conclusions, one-to-one evaluations with students obtaining an average of 3.05 with good conclusions, small group evaluations obtaining an average of 3.43 with very good conclusions, and field trial evaluations obtained an average score of 3.61 with a very good conclusion, so it was concluded that the science learning game oriented towards local Papuan culture for grade IV elementary school students was very good. Test the effectiveness of science learning game development oriented to local Papuan culture, tested through a t-test. The results show a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05, so there is a significant difference between science learning outcomes in pretest and posttest data, and it can be concluded that science learning games oriented towards local Papuan culture are effective in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV elementary school students.

Abstract

The low mastery of English language comprehension in early childhood is a problem that has an impact on the development of children's language skills later. One of the contributing factors is the minimal use of interesting learning media that is in accordance with children's characteristics. This study aims to analyze the impact of the use of picture story books on the mastery of English vocabulary in early childhood. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 15 children aged 5-6 years. The sample was selected by purposive sampling based on the consideration that children aged 5-6 years are likely to be actively involved in English vocabulary learning activities. Data were collected through a comprehension mastery test in the form of word recognition and pronunciation based on pictures. The data analysis technique used a paired t-test. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 2.07 in the pretest to 3.67 in the posttest, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that picture story books have a positive effect on improving early childhood English comprehension. These findings imply the importance of using picture story books as a fun, interactive, and contextual learning medium in language learning in early childhood education. Future scholars are encouraged to build on these findings by further exploring culturally contextualized story content, integrating family involvement, and longitudinal studies examining the long-term impact of storybook-based learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to increase children's creativity by exploring the natural surroundings of group A children at TK Tunas Dansari Dosay, Jayapura Regency. The subjects of this study were 15 children. This research is a classroom action research method using the action model from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Data collecting was observation and documentation—data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed an increase in the creativity of group A children in TK Tunas Dansari Dosay. The research data showed that before the action, the average group value was 45.55%. After being given action cycle I, the average result was 55.55%; action II amounted to 63.33% and increased in action III 67.22%. In cycle II, an action I increased to 71.67%, action II increased to 75.55%, and action III increased to 81.10%. Based on these data, exploring the surrounding nature can increase the creativity of group A children at TK Tunas Dansari Dosay, Jayapura Regency.
