Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Snowball Throwing learning modelwith a contextual approach to the ability of mathematical communication. Thisresearch is an experimental research with population of all class VIII in MTsHidayatussibyan Lancar. Sampling technique using Saturated Sampling. Samplingtechnique using Saturation Sampling technique. The sample in this research is class VIII A, VIII B and class VIII C. Data collection method used in this research is interview, documentation, observation, questionnaire, and test. The results of this study show that learning achieves individual mastery with an average of 81.2 and classical completeness of 80.9%. The result of influence test showed the influence of student's activeness and interest toward the mathematical communication ability of 92%. Different test results also show that there is a difference of average mathematical communication ability between experimental class and control class, with the average of experimental class 81,2 while control class average is 77,2. Based on this it can be concluded that learning using Snowball Throwing model with a contextual approach to the ability of effective mathematical communication.Keywords: Snowball Throwing, contextual, mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

Lecturers apply various models or learning strategies to the students which causes different student responses in joining the teaching learning process. However, the student responses only focus on their cognitive. It means that the lecturers only assess on the students’ achievement. Whereas the applicat ion different models or learning strategies have a purpose to achieve positive responses from the students. It is happened in learning linear program subject. In addition, there are also student responses on the teaching materials application for linear program subject based on contextual approach. Furthermore, the objective of the research is to describe student responses on the application of linear program teaching materials using contextual approach through Linever.Linever means that an acronym for Lindo and Excel Solver software. Moreover, textbook and student’ worksheets (LKM) are the teaching materials which are developed. The technique of data collection uses student responses questionnaires. The result of the research is the student responses on the linear program materials using contextual approach through Linever got 96.6%. In conclusion, this research had achieved the positive responses from the students in learning linear program subject. Abstract

Oyster mushroom farmer group REJOSARI MAKMUR and MANDIRI are two mushroom business groups in Meteseh village which was formed in response to the decline of the indigenous economy. They process mushrooms into chips sold in traditional markets. Their problems are low production capacity, low product diversification, oil content in chips is still high, and product packaging is not carried out properly. The objectives are (1) to develop business partners' mushroom so that they are able to become economically independent communities, (2) improve creative and innovative skills, use appropriate technology skills in draining, packaging, storage and product marketing skills. The method of achieving the goal is to increase production capacity through baglog enhancement, improve the skills and creativity of making various processed mushroom foods, applying oil slicing machines, and developing methods for packaging mushroom food products using packaging machines and labeling on product packaging. The results showed that the durability of chips for not sluggish and rancid increased from 4 days to 16 days. Mushroom entrepreneurs have been able to make various processed mushroom foods from 1  (chips)  into  several  products  including  nuged  and  mushroom  meatballs. Packaging becomes better, attractive and tight so that the flavor increases and food resistant.Keywords: Oyster mushroom, capacity, packaging, product diversification

Abstract

Crackers "Sarah" and "Barokah" have decreased cracker production due to, firstly, low speed of chopping because it is still done manually, and second is the failure of drying crackers as a result of the absence of the sun. The purpose of community service is to improve the quantity and quality of cracker production. The method applied is by implementing chopper machine and dryer dryer machine on dry cracker cracker. The results show that the use of chopper machine is able to remind the speed of chopping while improving the quality of the grain. The use of cracker dryer machine can accelerate drying so as to increase the production of crackers.Keywords: chopper machine, drying machine, crackers

Abstract

The problems in this research are (1) the expository method used in learning processes becauses lack of motivation and activeness in students, (2) the students' understanding of mathematical concepts are low. This research is an R&D type research that aims to develop and aplly a valid and effectivekotakkatik media. Kotak-katik media uses the contextual approach with ADDIE development method and the TGT cooperative learning model. The population in this research consists of 8th grade students in JHS of Muhammadiyah 1 Kudus. The samples are obtained using purposive sampling. 85.5% validity rate is obtained, meaning that this media is very valid. Effectivity analysis shows that complete individual understanding of the concepts reaches the value of87.2667 and classical completion reaches the proportion of 86.6667%.Motivation and activeness are ability in understanding the mathematicalconcepts with effect percentage of 89,9%.  Application of this kotak-katiklearning media creates difference in the measure of mathematical concept understanding, in the experimental class is 87,2667 better than control class is 79.1333. Based on those results, therefore the development of kotak-katik media through contextual approach to mathematical concept understanding of straight-sided solid shapes is valid, effective, and suitable to use as a new variation in learning. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of Inside Outside Circle learning model with Open Ended approach to the ability of mathematical connections. This research was conducted in MTs Hidayatussibyan Wonosobo and was an experimental research. Sampling with saturated sampling technique. The research population is all students of class VIII with sample of class VIII B and class VIII C. Independent variable used is activity and discipline, as well as dependent variable of mathematical connection ability. Methods of data collection using interviews, documentation, tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed that students using Inside Outside Circle learning model with Open Ended approach achieved 80% classical completeness. The influence of student activeness and discipline on mathematical connection ability of 89.00%. The difference of mean value of mathematical connection ability of experimental class is 79,33 better than the average value of control class is 71,59. Based on the research result that the Inside Outside Circle learning model with Open Ended approach on linear equation system material of two class VIII variables can be said to be effective. Keywords: Inside Outside Circle, Open Ended, Mathematical Connection Ability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang mengiplementasikan bahan ajar pendekatan kontektual berbantuan linever (software Lindo dan Excel Solver). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas dari bahan ajar pendekatan kontektual berbantuan linever dalam proses perkuliahan program linear dengan kriteria : adanya ketuntasan belajar baik individu maupun klasikal, adanya pengaruh keaktifan dan keterampilan proses terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa, dan adanya perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menerapkan bahan ajar tersebut dengan yang tidak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : adanya ketuntasan belajar baik individu maupun klasikal sebesar 100% mahasiswa tuntas, adanya pengaruh keaktifan dan keterampilan proses sebesar 90,3% terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa, dan adanya perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan hasil belajar mahasiswa yang menerapkan bahan ajar tersebut dengan yang tidak. Dengan rata-rata mahasiswa yang menerapkan bahan ajar sebesar 86 sedangkan yang tidak menerapkan bahan ajar sebesar 70. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahawa implementasi bahan ajar pendekatan kontektual berbantuan linever efektif.Keywords: linear program, contekstual, lindo and Excel Solver.

Abstract

Anggota kelompok kerajinan tangan SEKAR dan ASTER merupakan ibu-ibu yang berprofesi sebagai buruh cuci di daerah perumahan yang ada di sekitar tempat tinggal. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah (1) belum ada pemberdayaan ibu rumah tangga dalam peningkatan ekonomi keluarga, (2) kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pemanfaatan limbah kain perca menjadi berbagai produk yang bernilai ekonomi, (3) kurangnya ketrampilan mitra untuk berkreasi dan berinovasi membuat produk, (4) usaha belum didukung oleh sarana dan prasarana, (5) kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pengelolaan usaha. Tujuan program ini adalah (1) mengembangkan kelompok usaha kerajinan tangan ASTER dan SEKAR sehingga anggotanya menjadi masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi, (2) meningkatkan ketrampilan berkreasi dan berinovasi dalam membuat kerajinan tangan dari kain perca bagi anggota kelompok usaha kerajinan tangan ASTER dan SEKAR. Metode yang diterapkan adalah ceramah, pelatihan, praktek berkreasi dan berinovasi membuat produk kerajinan tangan dari kain perca, dan peningkatan alat pendukung pembuatan produk. Hasil dari pengabdian ini berupa berbagai produk dari kerajinan tangan dari limbah kain perca, web sebagai media pemasaran produk dan bertambahnya alat untuk memproduksi kerajinan tangan dari kain perca.Kata kunci : kain perca, kerajinan tangan, ekonomi mandiri

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pencapaian ketuntasan belajar siswa,meneliti pengaruh dari keaktivan siswa dan keterampilan proses terhadap kognitifnya, kemudian akandiuji perbedaan antara hasil belajar pembelajaran matematika realistik dipadu strategi turnamenbelajar dengan pendekatan ekspositori. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 13 Semarang padasiswa kelas VII. Disini populasinya seluruh siswa kelas VII yang terdiri dari 8 kelas dengan masingmasingkelas berisi 32 siswa. Sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling untuk mengambilkelas eksperimen yaitu VIIA dan kelas kontrol VIIB. Variabel bebasnya adalah; keaktivan siswa,keterampilan proses, dan jenis strategi pembelajaran. Sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah kognitifsiswa. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan dokumentasi, lembar observasi,angket, dan tes. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan analisis deskriptif, analisis uji t satu sampel, dananalisis regresi linier sederhana.Hasil penelitian dengan pembelajaran matematika realistik yang dipadu strategi turnamenbelajar dengan media LKS menunjukkan bahwa; (1) ketuntasan belajar dalam keaktivan siswa 72,87%, keterampilan proses 73,40%, dan kognitif siswa telah mencapai 70%, (2) keaktivan siswamempengaruhi kognitif sebesar 58,9%, sedangkan keterampilan proses mempengaruhi kognitifsebesar 53,3%, (3) uji rata-rata pihak kanan menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar dengan pembelajaranmatematika realistik dipadu strategi turnamen belajar dengan media LKS lebih baik dibandingkanpendekatan pembelajaran ekspositori.Dengan adanya pembelajaran ini diharapkan guru dapat mengembangkan kreatifitasnya dandapat memotivasi siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Pembelajaran ini perlu juga dikembangkanpada materi lain yang dipelajari. Dengan adanya variasi pembelajaran seperti ini diharapkanmeningkatkan keaktivan siswa dan keterampilan dalam berproses, sehingga dapat mendukungterciptanya kognitif yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Aim of this study was to develop learning tools of mathematics by model of Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferrin (REACT) which was valid and practical. Learning tools developed include syllabi, lesson plan, Student Worksheet, and the student book. The development refers to the Plomp models of development model of learning device, which consists of five phases, namely the initial investigation phase, the design phase, the phase of realization, evaluation and revision of the test phase. The research instruments used in this study were the validation sheet of learning tools, questionnaire sheet of student responses to the learning implementation, and questionnaire sheet of teacher responses to the learning tools. Validator assessment results indicate that the learning tools developed were valid with an average value for validation of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and the student book were 3.23 (good), 3.21 (good), 3.29 (very good), and 3.39 (very good), respectively. Field trials showed that the application of the learning tools developed was practical. A total of 82.40% of students responded positiv to the application of the learning tool in class, while the teacher assess that learning tool that is used with a value of 4.29 (good criteria)Keywords: React, lerning tool, mathematical connection, three-dimensional
