Abstract

ABSTRACTEMG signal is one of the signals that can be used to give orders to electric wheelchairs. The EMG signal used is taken from the flexor and extensor muscle signals in the right hand. The signal is taken using the Myo Armband sensor. The EMG signal classification is taken from the movement of the finger which represents the command of motion ie the little finger to move forward, ring finger to stop, middle finger to turn right and index finger to turn left. Each EMG signal is extracted features to determine the signal characteristics so that the features obtained are Average Absolute Value, Root Mean Square, Simple Integral Square, EMG Simple Variant and Integrated EMG. Then the feature is used as input from the Backpropagation classification method. The amount of training data used is 800 data while the test data used is 200 data. The success rate of this classification process is 93%.Keywords: electromyogram, artificial neural network, signal classification, right hand, Myo Armband.

Abstract

Abstract

Livestock products that experience an increase in production every year are dairy products. Based on research data on national milk production in 2020, the amount of dairy products produced increased to 947,685.36 tons. Animal protein needed by the body to grow and develop and to maintain health is the source of milk. The dairy processing industry relies on fresh cow's milk. Milk needs to be further processed to extend its shelf life because milk is easily spoiled or damaged and has a relatively short shelf life as a food of animal origin. Pasteurization is a process that can be done. One effort to extend the shelf life of milk is by pasteurizing milk. The pasteurization process is carried out by heating milk at a temperature of LTLT 62°C-66°C for 30 minutes or HTST temperature of 72°C -75°C for 15 seconds. This study uses the LTLT method with a temperature of 63°C to maintain the temperature using the 2nd 2nd-orderer Nichols PID control. To apply the system, several components are used, namely, Arduino nano as a microcontroller, DS18B20 sensor as a milk temperature reader, as well as a feedback system from PID control, servo to regulate the valve used to regulate the intensity of the stove flame, and the servo, rotates according to the PID value received, MQ-02 sensor to maintain safety against LPG gas leaks. There is a 12C LCD to provide visual information on the temperature and ADC values from the MQ-02 sensor, and there is a buzzer as an indicator of the system. The buzzer will be ON when the pasteurization process time is complete and when a gas leak occurs. Then, there is a TCS3200 sensor that compares the colour of the milk.

Abstract

More and more research results report that exposure to Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) magnetic fields at low intensity can increase cell proliferation. The ELF magnetic field interacts directly with cell membranes, capable of increasing intracellular calcium and under certain conditions affecting cell proliferation. This study wanted to prove the potential of ELF magnetic field radiation with intensity of 200 µT and 300 µT on edamame productivity. The research design used a completely randomized design. The research sample was 250 edamame soybeans of the Ryokkoh-75 variety which were divided into 5 groups. Samples were soaked in warm water for 3 hours and then cured for about 12 hours and exposed to ELF magnetic fields of intensity of 200 µT and 300 µT with variations in exposure time of 60 minutes and 120 minutes. Then it is seeded and planted in the field. Observation of the number of edamame pods and the number of pods was carried out when they were already fruiting, namely day 29 to day 43. The results of the study proved that the number of pods and the number of edamame pods in the group exposed to the 200 µT and 300 µT ELF magnetic fields was higher than the control. It appears that the highest number of fruits and pods occurred in the sample group exposed to the ELF magnetic field intensity of 300 µT. The conclusion is that exposure to the ELF magnetic field intensity of 300 µT has the potential to increase edamame productivity

Abstract

Introduction: Until now, the impact of Extremely Low Frequency electromagnetic field radiation (ELF-EMF) by extra high voltage transmission lines (500 kV-EHVTL) is still debated. While WHO recommends a threshold of magnetic field exposure of 100 µT for up to 24 hours/day is declared safe for health. This study aims to examine the Integration of Extremely Low Frequency Magnetic Field Studies in Science Education: "Case Study on 500 kV-EHVTL". This study is important to support literacy in Environmental Physics and Environmental Radiation courses. The location of the study is a 500 kV EHVTL building located in Gondang Wetan District, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, Indonesia. Measurement of ELF magnetic field intensity using the EMF Tester-827 tool. The measurement position is at point 0 (directly below), and lateral distances of 50m, 100m, 150m, 200m, and 250m from the EHVTL power grid cable, as well as distances of 0m, 1m, 5m, 10m, and 15m from the EHVTL power grid tower. The intensity of ELF magnetic field exposure just below the EHVTL reached a value of 5.73 µT-10,085 µT (increased 170-234 times) compared to the natural magnetic field. While several research results prove that exposure to magnetic fields with an intensity of around 10 µT in vitro causes an increase in cell proliferation. Increased cell proliferation in the human body can have negative effects on health. Based on the research results it was concluded that an increase in the intensity of ELF magnetic field exposure up to 170-234 times can cause biological effects at the cellular level and has the potential to cause health impacts on humans. it is advisable to avoid living under the EHVTL network, and the WHO recommendation that the threshold exposure value of 100 µT is declared safe for humans exposed for up to 24 hours/day needs to be reviewed
