Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the professional competence of Economic’s teachers in thelearning process, and (2) finding the professional competence of Economic’s teachers’ efforts. Thesamples were teachers of Economics and head of public and private high schools in the district MerantiIslands, purposively selected based on school accreditation. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative.The study found: (1) In general, the professional competence of Economic’s teachers in Meranti IslandsRegency were low, (2) There are two efforts made to improve the professional competence ofEconomic’s teachers in Meranti Islands Regency, namely the efforts of teachers and principals efforts.Efforts are made teachers are: follow MGMPs (Subject Teachers Council), following the upgrading /training, attend courses, gain knowledge through mass media or electronics, and professional improvementthrough self study. Efforts are made principals include: conduct supervision, conduct and or assigningteachers to participate in training, provision of adequate education facilities, motivated teachers makescientific work, rewards, and held a school meeting.Key words: professional competence, teachers of Economics, learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa melalui penerapan ProjectBased Learning pada mata kuliah Teori Ekonomi Makro Lanjutan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di FKIPUniversitas Riau Jurusan Pendidikan IPS Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi. Subjek penelitian adalahmahasiswa semester 5 konsentrasi Koperasi Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Riauyang mengikuti mata kuliah Teori Ekonomi Makro Lanjutan pada Semester Ganjil Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Keseluruhan mahasiswa berjumlah 28 orang, yang terdiri 18 (64 persen) mahasiswa perempuandan 10 (36 persen) mahasiswa laki-laki. Penelitian dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga siklus. Masing-masingsiklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwadengan menerapkan model PjBL dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata kuliah Teori Ekonomi MakroLanjutan, dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Dengan meningkatnya motivasi belajarmahasiswa, menyebabkan daya serap mahasiswa terhadap materi pembelajaran juga meningkat. Ada 21orang mahasiswa (71 persen) yang memiliki motivasi tinggi dan sangat tinggi, serta 23 orang mahasiswa(82 persen) yang memperoleh nilai lebih dari 70. Artinya target penelitian telah tercapai, sehingga modelpembelajaran PjBL dikatakan berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning creativity andproductivity through the application of Creative Productive Learning Model in theIntroductory Business class. The experiment was conducted at EconomicEducation Program, the Faculty of Teacher Education University of Riau. Thesubjects were students of the first semester of Economic Education ProgramUniversity of Riau who follow classes in Introductory Business in AcademicSemester 2013/2014. The number of students 35 people, consisting of 27 (77percent) female students, and 8 (23 percent) male students. The experiment wasconducted in three cycles; each cycle includes the stages of planning,implementation, observation and reflection. The results found that byimplementing Creative Productive Learning Model, it can increase the creativityand productivity of learning. Through increasing creativity and productivity ofstudent learning, the absorptive capacity of students is also increasing. There were34 students (97 percent) who scored more than 70. It means that research targets have been achieved, even more, so that productive creative learning model issuccessful.Keywords:Creative productive learning model, Introductory Business,creativity and productivity of learning

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of TGT learning models in Mathematical Economics course. The experiment was conducted at Economic Education Program, the Faculty of Teachers’Training of Education, Riau University. Subjects were students of the second semester of Economic Education Program attending in Mathematical Economics in Academic Semester 2011/2012, totaling 36 students, consisting of 28 (78 percent) female students and 8 male students (22 percent). The research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle includes the planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results found that the implementation of TGT learning in Mathematical Economics can improve student learning outcomes. Using TGT as a learning model for improving student learning outcomes will be effective if supported by the following: the ability of lectures to create lesson plans based on the TGT model, and the involvement of students in proportion to the activity in the learning process. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: 1) pola PBL; 2) hasil belajar Ekonomi Koperasi;dan 3) pengaruh pola PBL terhadap hasil belajar. Metode yang digunakan adalah medode deskriptif.Populasi adalah Sekolah Menengah Atas di Kota Pekanbaru dengan teknik random samplingproposional. Hasil penelitian: 1) Pola PBL sudah diterapkan dalam Ekonomi Koperasi di Kota Pekanbarudalam katagori cukup; 2) Hasil belajar ekonomi koperasi dalam katagori cukup dan baik; dan 3) PolaPBL berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar Ekonomi dan Koperasi. Elastisitas pola PBL terhadaphasil belajar Ekonomi dan Koperasi sebesar 0,143. Ini berarti bahwa setiap kenaikan pola PBL sebesarsatu persen maka akan menaikan hasil belajar Ekonomi dan Koperasi sebesar 0,143% dengan asumsiceteris paribus.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, hasil belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui aktivitas belajar mahasiswa denganmenerapkan model Isu Kontroversial (controversial issues); dan (2) mengetahui hasil belajar mahasiswadengan menerapkan model Isu Kontroversial (controversial issues). Penelitian dilakukan padamahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Ekonomi Pembangunan semester genap 2007/2008 padaprogram studi PPKn FKIP Universitas Riau, yang berjumlah 55 orang. Desain dan metode penelitianmenggunakan pola penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Prosedur penelitian tindakankelas ini yaitu (1) perencanaan (planning); (2) pelaksanaan tindakan kelas (action); (3) observasi(observation); dan (4) refleksi (reflection).Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada siklus I, kemampuan dosen dalam menerapkan model pembelajaranisu kontroversial (controversial issues) kurang baik. Aktivitas belajar yang dilakukan mahasiswaberada pada kategori kurang baik, sehingga hasil belajar yang diperoleh juga berada pada kategoricukup. Pada siklus II, kemampuan dosen dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran isu kontroversial(controversial issues) sudah sangat baik. Aktivitas belajar mahasiswa meningkat baik dari pertemuanpertama, hingga pertemuan terakhir pada siklus II, sehingga hasil belajar yang dicapai mahasiswa jugalebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar pada siklus I.
