Abstract

Psychological Well-Being pada Gay yang Menjalani Proses Coming Out Psychological Well-Being On Gay Doing Coming Out Process Krisna Eka Dewanti, Istar Yuliadi, Nugraha Arif Karyanta Program Studi Psikologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sebalas Maret ABSTRAK Homoseksual adalah salah satu orientasi seksual ketika seorang individu mempunyai rasa tertarik secara erotik dengan individu yang memiliki jenis kelamin sama dengan dirinya. Seseorang yang sadar dengan preferensi homoseksualnya, selanjutnya akan mempertimbangkan untuk membuka diri atau tetap menutupi orientasi seksualnya kepada lingkungan sekitar, proses ini yang kemudian dikenal dengan sebutan proses coming out. Proses coming out bukan merupakan proses yang sifatnya linier namun bertahap, berlangsung selama individu itu hidup, dilalui dengan cara yang unik dan berbeda pada setiap individu. Perjalanan ini nantinya memberikan dampak yang berbeda, sehingga mempengaruhi cara individu dalam menilai diri dan kehidupannya. Gambaran diri dan kehidupan dapat dilihat dari dimensi penerimaan diri, hubungan positif dengan orang lain, otonomi, penguasaan lingkungan, dan pertumbuhan diri. Keenam dimensi tersebut dikenal dengan nama psychological well-being. Psychological well-being adalah perasaan sejahtera yang dirasakan individu melalui proses evaluasi. Kondisi psychological well-being masing-masing individu dapat berbeda walaupun menghadapi situasi yang sama. Untuk melihat gambaran psychological well-being, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualititatif dengan wawancara mendalam menggunakan teori coming out dari Coleman dan teori psychological well-being dari Ryff. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah gay yang telah menjalani proses coming out. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terlihat kondisi psychological well-being yang berbeda pada kedua subjek. Perbedaan dapat dilihat dari dimensi-dimensi psychological well-being yang secara tidak langsung dipengaruhi oleh proses coming out, khususnya pada dimensi penerimaan diri dan hubungan positif dengan orang lain. Kedua subjek menjalani proses coming out yang berbeda, mendapatkan dampak yang berbeda dari lingkungan, sehingga evaluasi yang dilakukan terhadap diri dan kehidupannya akan berbeda pula. Kata kunci: gay, homoseksual, coming out, psychological well-being.

Abstract

Masalah seks pada remaja seringkali mencemaskan para orang tua dan para pendidik. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para remaja adalah dorongan seksual yang sudah mulai muncul pada seorang remaja. Oleh karena itu regulasi emosi yang baik dan keikutsertaan keluarga dalam mengarahkan remaja dalam kegiatan yang positif sangat dibutuhkan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan  antara regulasi emosi dan komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga dengan perilaku seksual remaja pada siswa SMA Negeri 2 Klaten, Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pengambilan sampel  menggunakan stratified random sampling, melaui  tiga alat pengumpulan data, yaitu skala perilaku seksual, skala regulasi emosi, dan skala komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga. Metode yang digunakan dalam menguji hipotesis adalah metode regresi linear berganda, dan untuk mengetahui hubungan antarvariabel dilakukan uji korelasi. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 2 Klaten, dengan mengambil 70 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan negatif  antara regulasi emosi dengan perilaku seksual pranikah remaja (r = -0,282, p = 0,018), dan terdapat pengaruh regulasi emosi pada perilaku seksual pranikah remaja (p = 0,018). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga dengan perilaku seksual pranikah (p = 0,519). Regulasi emosi  dan komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga secara bersama-sama berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap perilaku seksual pranikah remaja (p = 0,043). Kenyataan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga dan regulasi emosi seseorang dan secara bersama-sama dapat menurunkan dorongan perilaku seksual pranikah remaja.

Abstract

Background: High school students at final year commonly experience anxiety when preparing the National Examination. Many students will eventually take more intensive additional courses offered by other institutions outside their schools as part of efforts to anticipate disappointing results of the examination. This study aimed to seek the rela-tionship between attendance for intensive external course with anxiety degree among final year students of SMA Negeri 8 Solo preparing the 2012 National Examination. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted in March 2012 at SMA N 8 Solo. The 12th grade students were purposively sampled based on certain criteria. Subjects were asked to give informed consent and to complete a biodata form and T-MAS questionnaire which were administered 15 minutes before the classes dismissed. Data were analyzed using t-independent test. Results: This study showed that the anxiety scores of students taking and not taking external course differed significantly (t = -33,4; p<0,001). Students not attending an intensive external course were more anxious than their counterparts. Conclusions: Attendance for an intensive external course was related to anxiety among the 12th grade students of SMA N 8 Solo preparing the National Examination. Abstract

Background: Anxiety is the worrying, nervous, fear, and sense of unpeace that is usually associated with danger. National examination as well as living status with biological parents can cause anxiety among 9th grade students. Students who do not live with their biological parents may feel more anxious due to lack of support and direct supervision from parents. This research aims to determine whether level of anxiety differs between 9th grade students who live with their biological parents and those who live apart in facing the national examination in Kerjo Sub-district, Karanganyar. Methods: This was an analytic observational research using cross-sectional approach. Subjects were 9th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Kerjo, MTs Muhammadiyah 3 Kerjo, and SMP Negeri 2 Kerjo who either live together with and who live apart from their biological parents. Subjects were initially sampled purposively and later randomly selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Subjects were asked to fill in (1) curriculum vitae form, (2) L-MMPI questionnaire to determine subjects honesty in filling out the questionnaire, (3) T-MAS questionnaire to measure the anxiety scores. Data were analyzed using Chi square (?2) test. Results: Of 34 students living with their biological parents, 28 (82,4%) were anxious. Similarly, 29 (85,3%) of 34 students living apart were also found to be anxious. Statistical analysis for comparison between the two groups showed a ?2 value of 0,108 (p = 0,742). Conclusions: There were no differences of anxiety level between 9th grade students who live with their biological parents and those who live apart in facing the National Examination in Kerjo Sub-district, Karanganyar. Abstract

Background: Adolescent in Indonesia are currently undergoing social changes from traditional society to modern society. This condition may trigger adolescent to develop a bad behavior, for example bad sexual behavior if accompanied by bad influences such as permissive environment or mass media. There are multiple factors that can influence adolescent behavior. Family, in this case parents educational degree and family economy status are thought to have great influence in adolescent behavior. Methods: This research was analytic observational research using survey methods with cross sectional design. Stratified cluster random sampling was used for sampling methods. The samples are 103 students from class X, XI, and XII. Data were obtained from questionnaire that has already validated. The data were analyzed using Spearman statistical analysis with Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 17 for Windows. There are two variables, parents educational degree (low, middle and high category) and family economy status (low, middle, high). Results: There are 103 respondents which consist of 81 good sexual activity respondent and 22 bad sexual activity respondent. Spearman and Kendall-tau show that correlation coefficients between adolescent sexual activity with parents educational degree are 0.442 and 0.431, respectively (p value <0.001), whereas correlation coefficients between adolescent sexual activity with family economy status are 0.338 and 0.329, respectively (p value <0.001). Conclusions: It can be concluded that there is significant association between parents educational degree and family economy status with adolescents sexual behavior.Correlation coefficient are positive, that is the higher educational degree or family economy status, the higher possibility the adolescent to do a bad sexual activity. Abstract

Background:Racer is a dangerous profession or a high risk job that can cause a death. Family is a places for a child who wants some needs and get fulfillthe needs. Moral can influence on the quality of racing and anxiety level riders. This study aims to determine the relationship of family intimacy with the anxiety level rider road race in Surakarta. Methods:This study was an observational analytic cross-sectional approach. Subjects were racer in Surakarta. Road race rider interviews were conducted with a questionnaire to determine the level of anxiety with T-MAS scale and intimacy of the family concerned with Instrument Family Intimacy. Data were analyzed with the Pearson product moment statistical test (? = 0.05). Results: Of the sample obtained 30 racers. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0, 740 and p-value = 0.000 <0.05, so there is a significant relationship between the level of intimacy with the family of the anxiety level rider road race in Surakarta. Conclusions:There is a statistically significant relationship between the level of intimacy with the family of the anxiety level racer in Surakarta. This suggests that the higher the level of family intimacy anxiety levels further down. Keywords:family intimacy, anxiety, racer

Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney disease incidences are expected to rise. One of the most pshycopatological problems in hemodyalisis patient is depression. Depression will decrease compliance, immnune dysfunction, and poor nutrition. This study aimed to know prevalence of depression and to search wether there were some relationship between social support with depression in hemodyalisis at RSUD Dr.Moewardi. Methods: This was an analitic observational study. Two measurement tools were used in this study, they were Beck Depression Inventor (BDI) and modified Multidimensional Support of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS). 30 patients were involved in this study. Statistic tests used in this study were Pearson test and Spearman test. Results: Depression was found in 43.33% chronic kidney disease patient undergoing hemodyalisis, with BDI cutoff >15. Mean of BDI score was 16.3 and deviation standard score was 7.433. Depression has significant negative relationship with family support, r = -0.480 and p = 0.007 (< 0.05). No significant relationship between social support from other source outside family with degree of depression. Conclusions: Depression was found in hemodyalisis patients at RSUD Dr.Moewardi. Abstract

Background: Masturbation is generally defined as the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs is performed on to obtain sexual pleasure and satisfaction. Masturbation can cause disruption of concentration on a particular teens. For a student or students, the important factor is the ability to support the achievement of learning memory and concentration as internal factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the frequency of masturbation with the index student learning achievement in medical school, Sebelas Maret University. Methods: This research is a descriptive analytic cross with sectional study approach. Samples were taken using a total random sampling method. Researchers took a sample of 170 people. Data were obtained by questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) 17 for Windows statistical test "Chi Square". Results: A total of 139 respondents consisted of 65 respondents to the frequency of masturbation > 2x a week and 74 respondents with masturbation frequency ? 2x a week. Chi Square test showed statistical calculation results of p < 0.05 is p = 0.000; OR = 1.23. Conclusions: The analysis showed there is a relationship between the frequency of masturbation and the index student learning achievement in this research Keywords: masturbation index student learning achievement students
