Abstract

Abstract: Symbolic Violence Representation in the Mechanism of Euphemism and Sensori-zation of Lecturer Speech. This study aims to describe the representation of symbolic violence in the mechanism of euphemism and censorship of lecturers' speeches to students in the class. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study research. Data in the form of sentences in lecturer speech to students. Data collection techniques used are observation, recording, and recording. Bourdieu's social class theory which was constructed in the mechanism of euphemism and censorship became the basis for studying this research data. Symbolic violence is represented in the mechanism of euphemism and the censorship mechanism. The results of the study show that symbolic violence through lecturer speech inspired by institutional authority shapes the behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs that can be accepted in certain social spaces. This is done on the basis of "to educate" students to behave and act better.

Abstract

Lasem yang berada di Kabupaten Rembang memiliki peran penting di masa lalu sejak masa Kerajaan Majapahit. Secara geografis terletak di pantai utara Jawa dimana pada masa dulu perdagangan antar bangsa ramai dilakukan di daerah tersebut. Lasem sebagai panggung pertemuan masyarakat antar bangsa melatih masyarakatnya berpikiran terbuka terhadap pengaruh dan lebih toleran. Peninggalan-peninggalan di masa lalu baik berupa artefak ataupun warisan nilai-nilai budaya masih sangat kental dirasakan hingga saat ini. Pelestarian pusaka dengan menjadikannya sebagai wisata budaya akan membangkitkan kembali kejayaan Lasem di masa kini. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis ketahanan sosial pemuda khususnya pemuda yang tergabung di Yayasan Lasem Heritage (YLH) dalam melestarikan warisan pusaka Lasem dengan mengelolanya sebagai potensi wisata budaya.Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi non-partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan purposive sampling, dan dokumentasi selama berada di Lasem. Data dianalisis dengan teori pemberdayaan masyarakat John Friedmann dan ketahanan sosial dari Keck dan Sakdalporak.Hasil penelitian menggambarkan bahwa tahapan-tahapan pemberdayaan pemuda YLH yang terdiri dari: (1) enabling dengan diadakannya klinik-klinik belajar oleh “Kesengsem Lasem”. (2) empowering yakni memberikan kesempatan kepada YLH untuk mengaktualisasikan ilmu yang didapat ketika mengikuti klinik belajar dengan menyediakan paket wisata Lasem, menjadi tour guide bagi wisatawan yang datang ke Lasem, serta berkolaborasi dengan pelaku usaha setempat untuk menyediakan amenitas dan atraksi wisata bagi wisatawan. (3) protecting dilakukan oleh founder “Kesengsem Lasem” dengan membuka akses bagi YLH untuk mendapatkan dukungan dari berbagai pihak berupa bantuan modal serta promosi dan pemasaran wisata budaya beserta produk lokal Lasem melalui pameran daring dan luring. Pemberdayaan pemuda YLH yang dilakukan oleh founder “Kesengsem Lasem” berimplikasi pada ketahanan sosial organisasi tersebut dalam mengelola wisata budaya di Lasem hingga saat ini.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan artikel untuk membahas potret Suku Bajau dan tradisi Bate di Torosiaje, Bate dalam kerangka tradisi sosial kemasyarakatan, serta Bate sebagai wujud relasi agama dan tradisi. Kajian menggunakan metode fenomenologi hermeneutik yang digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi basis ontologis dalam tradisi Bate suku Bajau, serta mendiskusikan basis epistimologisnya. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi non partisipatif, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Suku Bajau merupakan pengembara laut yang menyebar ke berbagai wilayah. Tradisi Bate merupakan tradisi turun temurun untuk tolak bala atau wabah yang menggunakan bendera sebagai perantara untuk mengetahui atau mengatasinya. Pelaksanaan tradisi melibatkan berbagai unsur masyarakat yang menunjukkan solidaritas dan kebersamaan. Bendera yang digunakan bertuliskan ayat dari Al-Quran yang menunjukkan keyakinan terhadap Tuhan dan bercampur dengan kebiasaan masyarakat.

Abstract

Quality education is a major need in the era of increasingly competitive global competition. One of the government's efforts to make quality education is to increase literacy culture. The content area literacy approach (content area literacy) is the basis for implementing community service activities. Content area literacy is the ability to use reading and writing skills to study subject matter in a discipline; teach skills that “beginners” might use to understand disciplinary texts; a set of learning skills that can be generalized across content areas. Area literacy (content area literacy) requires content area teachers to develop literacy skills for their discipline as well as be confident in their ability to teach and develop content as they use these skills. This mentoring is relevant for all science content area teachers in schools, school administrators, literacy and instructional coaches, school counselors, and others interested in teaching and learning. This mentoring activity, which is a form of PMPK lecturer dedication, was carried out at SD Negeri 3 Duvet, Malang. This activity is for teachers and education personnel in the school.

Abstract

This community service program in Ngroto Village, Pujon District, Malang Regency aims to increase community understanding and skills in formulating rules for participating villages. This activity was launched to follow up on the results of a previous study on the obstacles to village code formation. In principle, the formation of a village order in Ngroto Village follows the path specified in Permendagri No. 111 of 2014 from the Technical Guidelines for the Village Law, however, sometimes the process of forming the village order encounters obstacles. The obstacles that arise are: (1) the identification of opportunities and problems as outlined in the draft village regulations is not precise, detailed and complete; (2) lack of direct participation from some communities in drafting village regulations; (3) the process of drafting village regulations took longer during the Covid-19 pandemic; (4) lack of socialization and knowledge of village officials' projects; and (5) the lack of dissemination of village regulations which were transferred to the RT/RW level. This non-profit activity is carried out through advocacy and facilitation methods. Finally, an ideal village can be created through optimal community participation in the village development process, where the village government leadership responds to the wishes and aspirations of the village community.

Abstract

Bullying or intolerance is still one of the problems that occurs in Indonesia. This can be seen from the continued prevalence of bullying behavior that has surfaced and gone viral on social media. Bullying cases often occur in teenagers, especially middle and high school students. One of the causes is a lack of knowledge and understanding of the definition and forms of bullying behavior and the lack of a tolerant character among teenagers. This community service is aimed at 1) Educating and training Generation Z at the Malang City High School level in identifying problems of bullying or intolerance in their schools and 2) Instilling tolerance in Generation Z to prevent bullying behavior. The target of the service is Malang City high school students. Community service is carried out through the community development method. Service implementation is carried out through character dissemination activities by inviting resource persons from the OASE Institute. Activities are carried out through three stages: social preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The result of the implementation of the service is the formation of a cadre of Malang City High School students who have a strong character of tolerance, as well as increased student knowledge regarding potential problems of bullying and intolerance at school. By cultivating and spreading the character of tolerance through student cadres, it is hoped that bullying behavior can be prevented among Malang City High School teenagers.

Abstract

Kemampuan berliterasi masyarakat Indonesia merupakan modal utama untuk mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa bagi seluruh tumpah darah rakyat Indonesia. Salah satu upayamembangkitkan semangat literasi masyarakat Indonesia yaknimelalui literasi religius menakar basis masyarakat Indonesia sebagai umat beragama sesuai sila pertama Pancasila. Tujuan dilaksanakannya pengabdian ini untuk memberikan dasar yang kuat bagaimana seharusnya sebagai insanpembelajaran, warga negara dan generasi penerus untuk membiasakan diri mengolah informasi pengetahuan berdasarkan literasi yang valid dan benar. Metode empowerment yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatory-active sasaran pengabdian untuk melek literasi baik secara cetak maupun digital tentang materi dan informasi ajaran agama. Sasaran pengabdian masyarakat suku Bajau di desa Torosiajekecamatan Papayato kabupaten Pohuwato Provinsi Gorontalo dilakukan sebagai sebagai upaya peningkatan minat bacapada anak TK, SD dan SMP di masyarakat suku Bajau desa Torosiaje. Selain itu, kegiatan ini diharapkan mampu mereposisi tempat Ibadah yaitu masjid sebagai sentral peradaban yang mampu memberikan kontribusi langsung kepada masyarakat. Ruang literasi yang ada di masjidmenjadi penting agar dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif umatIslam untuk menumbuhkan gairah keilmuan dan literasiselain dapat mendekatkan diri dari sisi spiritualitas. Hasil dari pengabdian ini memberikan outcome kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif dan problem solving pada masyarakat suku Bajau sesuai tingkat pendidikannya.
