Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not there was an influence between Lesson Study Learning Community (LSLC) collaborative learning on student learning outcomes on opportunity topics in SMP Negeri 8 Jember.This research is an experimental study, using the form of True Experiment Design with Randomized Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design research designs. The study population was all eighth grade students. The 3 class samples from 7 classes are homogeneous, the sample is divided into experimental class 1, experimental class 2, and control class. Data collection is done by documentation, tests and observations. Based on the results of F test data analysis on the Post-test value obtained Ftabel <Fhitung is 3.08 <11,673, then H0 is rejected. The results of the Post Hoc test showed that the experimental class 1 had a significant difference compared to the experimental class 2 and the control class. In the experimental class 1 students discussed to solve the problem, the interaction between students in the experimental class 1 happened well compared to the experimental class 2 and the control class, so that collaboration and student learning outcomes increased. Then it can be concluded that collaborative learning based on Lesson Study Learning Community (LSLC) influences student learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes in the experimental class 1 increased by 6.67%, this is higher than the experimental class 2 of 3.19 and the control class of 3.56. Abstract

Abstract. Education is one of the factors to the nation's progress. Education is developed through oriented scientific approach. It is acapted in increasing the students thinking ability. Moreover, scientific approach is an approach that trains the students to resolve contextual problems. Therefore, the students ability in resolving the problems can make them in higher order thinking. Especially in implementation of Curriculum 2013 the Student Worksheet (LKS) can cultivate their ability of high order thinking. The purpose of this research is to describe the process and result Development of LKS oriented to scientific approach to improve the higher order thinking ability. The research her use Plomp mode 5 phases, that is preliminary investigation, design, realization, test, evaluation, revision and implementation. The quality achievement criteria of the LKS are validity, practicality and effectiveness. The results of validity data in LKS showed that 3,8 are in a good category, the result of practicality data in LKS showed that the teacher activity during the teaching and learning show is 88,46% in the first meeting, and 92,31% in the second meeting.. The result of effectiveness data in LKS is scored by 1) Student’s activity showed 79% in the first meeting, and 83, 4% in the second meeting; 2) student’s learning outcomes showed 90%; and 3) the result of the student's positive response showed 79% to 86%. Therefore, LKS can be said to be valid, practical and effective. The LKS products are oriented scientific approach with 5M stages and meet higher order thinking level. Abstract

Abstract.The use of ICT in Indonesianeducation especially in the field of mathematics is less optimal. It would require the development of materials that use e-learning to facilitate students in learning. The device was developed by a model of learning missourimathematics project (MMP). The developments of material methods are using the method of Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel. Based on the results of the expert appraisal, validity coefficient of lesson plans,worksheets,student books, THB and e-learning in a row is 0.94; 0.96; 0.90; 0.93 and 0.92 which means the device is already valid. Observations of teachers in managing the learning ability, the percentage of student activity, student questionnaire responses, student self-assessment questionnaires and tests learning outcomes showed that the device is practical and effective. Abstract: This research aims to know how the process and the result of developing mathematics learning materials onCORE model (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) with contextual Approach of opportunities topic at grade XI senior high school. This study developes lesson plan,worksheet, evaluation test, and Studentbooks. The development mathematics learning materials standardized CORE model with contextual approach. This development model refers to 4-D Thiagarajan and Sammel & Samel models. This four steps are defining step, designing step, developing step, and disseminating step. The product of learning materials development standardized by CORE model with contextual approachforopportunitiestopic has fulfilled the validation criteria, practicability, and effectiveness. Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this research is to describe the problem solving profile of social arithmetic by students at VII A in SMPN 2 Jember through the Polya phasis in terms of V-A-K learning style (Visual, Auditorial, and Kinesthetic). The type of this research is descriptive research with qualitative approach. Methods of data collection in this research are learning style questionnaire, problem solving’s test, interviews. Subjects in this research are students who tend to visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning style. The data analyzed in this research is learning style questionnaire, test answer sheet, and interview result. Data analysis is based on the problem solving indicator based on Polya phasis. The result of this research are: at the understanding the problem for all types of question phase, all students are equally still unable to carry out the phase. At the making plans phase, visual studets are only able to carry out this phase at visual type problem and tend to be able to both other types, whereas auditorial and kinesthetic students have not been able to kinesthetic type problem and tend to be able to both other type. At the executing the plan phase, visual students are only able to carry out this phase on visual type problems and tend to be able to both other types, whereas auditorial and kinesthetic students tend to be capable of auditorial type problems and have not been able to both types. At the re-examining phase, visual students have not been able to perform this phase on kinesthetic types and tend to be able to both other types, whereas auditorial students are only capable of auditorial type problems, tend to be in the visual type, and not yet capable of kinesthetic types, Kinesthetic students tend to be capable of all three types of questions. Abstract

Abstract. This paper describes the students' mathematical connection ability on the matter of relationship between lines based on NCTM (National Council of Teachers of mathematics). The mathematical connection indicator used in this research is six. Mathematical connection aims to help the formation of student perceptions by viewing mathematics as an integrated part with the real world. The data collected in this study is the ability of students' mathematical connections on the material relationships between lines obtained from the test of the mathematical connection ability of six subjects. Of the six subjects categorized in in three groups, namely upper group students, middle group students, and lower group students. Through the interview obtained more in-depth information about students' mathematical connection ability to the relationship between lines. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The results of the research have been done, the upper group students are able to understand five to six indicators of mathematical connection, the middle group students are able to understand the four indicators of mathematical connections, while the lower group students are only able to understand two to three indicators of mathematical connections. Thus, it can be concluded that the higher the level of mathematical ability of students the higher the ability of mathematical connections. Keywords: Mathematical connections, NCTM

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to describe the level thinking of students based on SOLO taxonomy in completing SPLDV story questions in terms of Florence Littauer's personality type. Data was obtained based on the results of questionnaires, tests and interviews. The subjects of this study were class VIII D SMP Negeri 2 Jember. The results showed that students with a sanguinis personality type were 30% at an unistructural level, 20% at a multistructural level and 50% at a relational level. Students with choleric personality types each 33.33% were at the level of multistructural, relational and extended abstract. Students with a melancholic personality type of 25% are at a multistructural level, 55% at a relational level and 20% at an extended abstract level. Students with a phlegmatic personality type of 15% are on an unistructural level, 35% on a multistructural level, 35% on a relational level and 15% on an extended abstract level. Abstract

Abstract. Critical thinking ability is a Students’ thinking ability in solving questions based on some components of Paul’s and Elder’s critical thinking with indicators used in this research is reasoning element (information, concept, idea, conclusion, and point of view) and reasoning intellectual standard (clear, appropriate, careful, relevant, deep, logical, and wide). The purpose of this research is to describe students critical thinking ability in solving arithmetic sequence and series questions in SMAN 5 Jember. The subject of this research was taken from 29 students of X MIPA 4 were categorized into 3 groups which are high, medium, and low ability based on their mathematic scores in the first semester. Based on the result of the critical thinking ability test and the interview, two subjects which were taken from low ability students were categorized as TKBK 0 (not critical). Three subject which were taken from medium ability students, one subject was categorized as TKBK 1 (less critical) and two subjects were categorized TKBK 2 (critical enough). One subject which was taken from high ability students was categorized as TKBK 3 (critical). From the result of the research, the subject is only able to reach critical level (TKBK 3) and 5 of the other subjects are still in the low critical thinking level which are TKBK 2, TKBK 1 and TKBK 0. Abstract

Abstract. Critical Thinking Skills is very important for us because critical thinking skills can be used to solve problems and as a judgement in right decision making. One of the methods used to equip students with critical thinking skills is using Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model in mathematics class. This research is a qualitative descriptive research aimed to describe the critical thinking skills of students in X-Class using CPS model in solving quadratic equations problems and the provision of scaffolding. The subject of this research is students of SMK N 2 Jember grade 10 (X-Class). The method of data collecting used in this research is critical thinking skills test and interview. Analysis of students critical thinking skills test is based on critical thinking skills indicat by Facione determined by the researcher. The results of this research showed that sudents critical thinking skills in X-TPM Class at SMK Negeri 2 Jember generally can be grouped into 3 categories are high, average, and low critical thinking skills. Students with high critical thinking skills satisfy all of crtitical thinking skills indicarors. Students with average critical thinking skills can only satisfy interpretation and analysis indicators. But less capable in evaluation and inference indicators. Whereas, the students with low critical thinking skills are less capable in interpreting the problem and they can't satisfy analysis, evaluation, and inference indicators. Abstract

Abstract.The objectives of this action research are to know how the implementation of learning Quick on the Draw, the students activities in learning process, and the student’s outcomes after using the implementationof learning Quick on the Draw of Social Arithmetic at VII grade material. This implementation was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle was ending with a test. This research using Hopkins scheme model that consist of 4 phases include planning, action, observation and reflection. The object of this research was students of class VII F of SMP Negeri 10 Jember. The data collection methods of this research were observation, interview, test and documentation. In Cycle I, the research shows that student’s activities were 85,55% and the students learning outcome were 82,85%. In Cycle II the student’s activities were 91,42% and the students learning outcome were 97,14%. It conclude that this research can improve the student’s learning outcome.
