Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui jenis pakan alami yang menunjang kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan yang tinggi untuk benih ikan Maanvis. Penelitian ini menggunakan tiga perlakuan, yaitu A (Tubifex sp. hidup), B (Cacing darah beku), dan C (Daphnia sp. beku). Ikan yang dipergunakan ialah benih ikan Maanvis berukuran 3,0 – 3,5 cm dan diberi pakan secara ad libitum 3 kali sehari. Parameter yang diukur meliputi kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan. Pemberian pakan alami berupa Tubifex sp. memberikan pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang total terbaik yaitu 3,05 g dan 2,64 cm. Pertumbuhan bobot dan panjang total terendah pada perlakuan pemberian pakan Daphnia sp. yaitu 0,61g dan 0,84 cm. Semua perlakuan menghasilkan kelangsungan hidup 100%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepadatan berbeda terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan nilem berukuran 2-3 cm yang dipelihara dalam happa di kolam. Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Februari-April 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan benih ikan nilem berukuran 2-3 cm sebanyak 900 ekor yang diperoleh dari Instalasi Riset Lingkungan Perikanan Budidaya & Toksikologi, Cibalagung, Kabupaten Bogor. Happa yang dipergunakan berukuran 1x1x1 m3 yang diletakkan di kolam tanah. Pakan komersil P-800  berkadar protein 39-41%, lemak minimal 5%, serat kasar maksimal 6%, abu maksimal 16% dan kandungan air 10%, diberikan pada jam 08.00, 13.00, dan 17.00 WIB. Rancangan yang dipergunakan ialah rancangan acak lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan (50, 100, 150 ekor/m3) dan 3 ulangan. Data hasil percobaan dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam. Perlakuan dengan kepadatan berbeda tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kelangsungan hidup dan pertumbuhan ikan nilem. Kata kunci: Ikan nilem, kelangsungan hidup, kepadatan,  pertumbuhan,

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu pemeliharaan berbeda terhadap histopatologi insang dan kulit ikan Komet (Carassius auratus).  Penelitian ini menggunakan 30 sampel ikan Komet yang dibagi  menjadi tiga  perlakuan suhu pemeliharaan, yaitu 25,0 0C, 28,50C,  dan 32,0 0C. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan kerusakan jaringan pada kulit dan insang ikan komet pada perlakuan 320C. Kerusakan pada jaringan kulit berupa nekrosis epidermis. Kerusakan jaringan insang berupa terlepasnya epitelium, hiperplasia lamella primer, dan hiperplasia lamella sekunder. Kata Kunci : Histopatologi, Ikan Komet, Insang, Kulit.

Abstract

This research was aimed to know the best dosage of  HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) for the brood maturation of hard-lipped barb. The experiment design has been conducted  were completely random design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments are A (Control, without hormone), B (with HCG dosage of  250 IU), C (with HCG dosage of  500 IU), and D (with HCG dosage of  750 IU). The development of egg diameter, the success of spawning, fecundity, fertilization rate, and water quality (chemical and physical) have been evaluated. The results of research showed that treatment C gives the best results for the egg maturation of hard-lipped barb. Key words: Hard-lipped barb, HCG, the maturity of egg, fecundity

Abstract

This research aims to determine the growth and survival rate of Giant Freshwater Prawns and Nilem fish are reared in polyculture system with different of stocking density of Nilem fish. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications were used in this experiment, the different stocking density of Nilem fish as a treatments were as followed: A) 25 fish / m2; B) 50 fish / m2; and C) 75fish / m2 while stocking density of Giant Freshwater Prawn was 20 prawn / m2 for all treatmets. Culture period was 3 months, the waste of fish was maintaned using media filter (physical and biological) in recirculation system. The parameters such as survival, growth, and water quality were observed. The results of this study were consisted of survival rate and growth. The survival rate  of Giant Freshwater Prawn the highest was 59,76% (A), and the lowest was 44,29% (C), while Nilem fish the highest was 65% (A), and the lowest was 43.56% (C). The results of fish growth consist of absolute length, absolute weight and SGR. Absolute length of Giant Freshwater Prawn the highest was 3.09 cm (A), and the lowest was 2.38 cm (C). Nilem fish the highest was 8.63 cm (A),  and the lowest was 6.28 cm (C). The absolute weight of  Giant Freshwater Prawn the highest was 8.83 g (A), and the lowest was 5.94 g (C). Nilem fish the ighest was 10.02 g (A), and the lowest was 4.49 g (C), SGR of Giant Freshwater Prawn the highest was 1.71% (A), and the lowest was 1.33% (C). Nilem fish the highest was 9.56% (A),and the lowest was 8.31% (C). Based on these data,  A treatment was the best where according to ANOVA and Tukey's test revealed that A treratment showed significantly different (P<0.05) from B and C treatments Key words: Nilem fish, stocking density, polyculture, Giant Freshwater Prawn

Abstract

This research was conducted in the waters of  Muara Gembong, Bekasi, on  January to March, 2018. Sampling of blood cockle is carried out in 3 station vertically to the direction of the sea. Determination of station is carried out based on  the fishing ground of the fisherman. Analyses of blood cockle is carried out in the Laboratory of the Research Center for Oceanography, LIPI, Ancol – North Jakarta. This research was aimed to analyze the reproductive biological aspects  which includes the ratio of gender, the gonad maturity rate, the gonad maturity index, the length-weight relationship, the condition factor of Anadara granosa in the waters of Muara Gembong, Bekasi. The results of observation of 400 samples showed that the length-weight relationship of blood cockle of  female and  male  has the pattern of the negative  allometric relationship. The overall ratio of gender between the blood cockle of male and female is 1.3:1. The average value of the gonad maturity index of the male blood cockle is 1.1874 and the  value of the gonad maturity index of the female blood cockle is 1.1983. Key words: Anadara granosa, growth, the ratio of gender, gonad maturity index

Abstract

Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) is a local fish which has a potential for culture, but the most high mortality occurres in larval stage. The water quality is one factor that causes high mortality. The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate the optimal growth and survival performances of catfish culture with probiotic application that containing Pseudomonas sp. and Bacillus sp. Fish test in this experiment was catfish with 21 of ages, 0.11±0.03g in body weight and 2.04±0.30 cm in total length. Experimental design used complete randomize design consisted of three treatments and three replications for each treatment. The treatments were probiotic utility that containing i.e. A) without adding bacteria (control), B) adding Pseudomonas sp, and C) adding Bacillus sp. Fish culture was 60 days with feeding frequently three times a day (08:00; 14:00; and 20:00). Test paramaters were survival, length growth and weight growth, feeding conversion ratio, blood glucose, and water quality. The result of this experiment showed that the catfish with adding probiotic containing Pseudomonas sp can increase in survival (82.1%), accelerate the length growth (6.08 cm) and weight absolute growth (4.24g). Feed efficiency was 1.42, no fish stress, and improved of water quality. Key words: catfish fry, probiotic, growth, survival

Abstract

The research is aimed to know the supplementation effect of different concentration of Spirulina platensis fluor on artificial feed against the growth and feed efficiency of goldfish. The experimental research was carried out on September 2018 until April 2019 at The Fisheries Laboratory, Djuanda University, Bogor. The experimental research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and each 3 replications. The treatments are K (Control, without supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor), A (30 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed), B (60 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed), and C (90 g of Spirulina platensis fluor + 1 kg  of artificial feed). The total length growth, the weight growth, feed efficiency, and water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and NH3) had been evaluated.  The results of research showed there was  a significantly different between treatments for the growth and feed efficiency (P<0.05).  The best results were obtained in treatment B with an average total length growth of 2.19 cm, average weight growth of 1.51 g, and average feed efficiency of 30.26%. Water quality during the research are temperaure of 25.6-27.5oC, pH of 7.2-8.3,  DO of 6.2-7.1 mg/L, and NH3 of 0.01-0.30 mg/L.Key words : Goldfish, Spirulina platensis, growth, feed efficiency

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the growth and survival rate of Ctenopoma fish seeds. This study used a completely randomized design with 3 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment in this study was a different feeding rate using natural feed of Tubifex sp  namely A (8%), B (10%), and C (12%) ). The test fish used was Ctenopoma fish seeds with an initial length of 2.40 ± 0.10 cm and an initial weight of 0.32 ± 0.05 g. Fish seeds are cultivated  for 28 days with feeding frequency twice a day. The results of research showed that the use of different feeding rate had an significantly different (P<0.05) on the specific growth  rate and absolute length growth with the best results in the treatment C. The survival rate was not significantly different between treatments (P>0.05). Key Words: Ctenopoma, feeding rate, growth, survival rate

Abstract

The experimental research was carried out on October 2018 at The Fisheries Laboratory, Djuanda University, Bogor. The research is aimed to know the effect of Spirulina platensis fluor supplementation to artificial feed on increasing of goldfish color quality. The experimental research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and each 3 replications. The treatments are A (Control), B (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 3 %/1 kg  of artificial feed), C (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 6 %/1 kg  of artificial feed), dan D (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 9 %/1 kg  of artificial feed). The increasing of color quality and the survival rate of goldfish has been evaluated. The results of research showed that the fish color changes on the thirteenth day began to look thick and bright. The best dose is obtained in treatmens C and D. The survival rate of 100 % in all treatments. Key words : Color quality, Goldfish, Spirulina platensis, survival rate
