Abstract

This study analyzes the phenomenon of morphological interference from Indonesian in the translation of Classical Arabic texts. It examines how Indonesian morphological structures, such as affixation, compounding, and reduplication, affect meaning transfer and grammatical equivalence in Arabic-Indonesian translation. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the study synthesizes findings from previous research on morphological transfer, interference, and translation strategies in second-language contexts. The results show that learners often unconsciously apply Indonesian morphological patterns during translation, causing mistranslation, redundancy, or distortion of Arabic word forms. These findings indicate that interference arises not only from linguistic differences between Arabic and Indonesian but also from cognitive and cultural factors influencing the translation process. The study concludes that integrating contrastive and contextual approaches in Arabic morphology and translation pedagogy can reduce interference and enhance students’ linguistic awareness and translation accuracy.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (KKN) focuses on empowering the Mengger community in Nglipar, Gunungkidul, through the development of SiGood (Singkong Saking Gunungkidul), an innovative cassava product. This program addresses the low price of cassava by providing training to women in the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) in producing cassava chips with new flavors, modern packaging techniques, and branding strategies. The participatory approach includes hands-on training in cassava processing, flavor innovation (chocolate and seblak), and the use of a sealing machine for packaging. Participants also learn about product logo design, manufacturing, packaging, and basic marketing strategies. Monitoring activities ensure the sustainability of the program. Results indicate that 80% of participants are able to independently produce innovative cassava chips. The product has received positive feedback for product development, and sales simulations demonstrate significant profit potential compared to selling raw cassava. The program's success is attributed to the abundant availability of cassava, the active participation of PKK members, innovative flavors, and hands-on training. Challenges include limited training time, a lack of product certification, and limited marketing skills. Future development opportunities include strengthening digital marketing, obtaining product certification, product diversification, and collaboration with local SMEs. This program demonstrates that community-based development can increase community independence and shift mindsets from consumerism to productivity.
