Abstract

The lack of self-regulated learning of a learner in a series of learning activities often hurts the achievement of their learning outcomes. It is necessary to provide a learning environment that supports an increase in one's self-regulated learning, which is through the application of blended learning. This study aims to look the effectiveness of the application of blended learning using the Moodle LMS in improving Polytechnic students’ self-regulated learning. This study applies a quantitative approach through the pre-experiment method and uses a One-Group Pretest-Posttest research design. This study compares the results of pretest and posttest on experimental class students after applying blended learning using the Moodle LMS. The research instrument analyzed was in the form of a non-test instrument which was arranged in a questionnaire. Statistical tests on research data were processed using SPSS 26 software. Wilcoxon nonparametric test results on questionnaire data gave results in the form of a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05 and the average N-gain value showed a value of 0.64. Through the results of statistical tests that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the application of learning with the blended learning model using the Moodle LMS has implications for increasing self-regulated learning for Polytechnic students with moderate effectiveness criteria.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Kurangnya kemandirian belajar atau self-regulated learning seorang pembelajar dalam serangkaian aktivitas pembelajaran seringkali memberikan dampak yang buruk pada pencapaian hasil belajar mereka. Penyediaan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung peningkatan self-regulated learning seseorang perlu dilakukan, salah satunya melalui penerapan blended learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat tingkat keefektifan penerapan Blended Learning melalui LMS Moodle dalam meningkatkan self-regulated learning mahasiswa di Politeknik. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode Pre Eksperiment serta menggunakan desain penelitian One-Group­ Pretest-Posttest. Penelitian ini membandingkan hasil pretest dan posttest pada mahasiswa kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan blended learning melalui LMS Moodle. Instrumen penelitian yang dianalisis berupa instrumen bentuk non tes yang disusun dalam sebuah kuisioner. Uji statistik terhadap data hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan software SPSS 26. Hasil uji nonparametric Wilcoxon terhadap data angket memberikan hasil berupa nilai signifikansi 0.00 < 0.05 dan rata-rata nilai N-gain menunjukkan nilai 0.64. Melalui hasil uji statistik yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran dengan model blended learning melalui LMS Moodle berimplikasi dalam peningkatan self-regulated learning mahasiswa Politeknik dengan kriteria efektifitas sedang.

Abstract

Learning combinatorics material requires a digital learning medium that is able to support students' independent learning. The unavailability of digital media makes students experience difficulties, so independent learning cannot be carried out effectively. This research aims to develop a digital-based smart calculator application as a learning medium for combinatorics material that meets the criteria of being valid, effective, and practical. This research applies research and development (R&D) methods whose stages are the preliminary stage, planning stage, formative evaluation stage, prototyping stage, and large class trials (field tests). A total of 31 Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic TRPL students were the subjects of this research. The data collection techniques applied are expert validation sheets, effectiveness trial questionnaires, and practicality trial questionnaires. Expert validation activities provide evidence that the media is valid and ready to be used in learning. Based on effectiveness and practicality trials on 31 students, the results showed that the digital-based smart calculator application was classified as effective and practical. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the development of a digital-based smart-calculator application is valid, effective, and practical, so that the digital-based smart-calculator application is ready to be used and applied to learning combinatorics material.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Pembelajaran materi kombinatorika membutuhkan suatu media pembelajaran digital yang mampu mendukung pembelajaran mandiri mahasiswa. Tidak tersedianya media digital ini membuat mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan sehingga pembelajaran mandiri tidak dapat terlaksana dengan efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital sebagai media pembelajaran materi kombinatorika yang memenuhi kriteria valid, efektif, dan praktis Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang tahapannya yaitu tahap preliminary, tahap perencanaan, tahap formative evaluation, tahap prototyping, dan uji coba kelas besar (field test). Sejumlah 31 mahasiswa TRPL Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini. Teknis pengumpulan data yang diterapkan adalah menggunakan lembar validasi ahli, angket uji coba keefektifan, dan angket uji coba kepraktisan. Kegiatan validasi ahli memberikan hasil bahwa media valid dan siap digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan uji coba keefektifan dan kepraktisan terhadap 31 mahasiswa memberikan hasil bahwa aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital tergolong  efektif dan praktis. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital tergolong valid, efektif, dan praktis sehingga aplikasi smart – calculator berbasis digital siap digunakan dan diterapkan pada pembelajaran materi kombinatorika.

Abstract

Numeracy and literacy are the focus of Indonesia's education system. This is evident from the implementation of the Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM), which has been part of the national annual assessment since 2021. The results are analyzed and reflected upon to assess the quality of education in implementing schools. Students' numeracy skills can improve if they use reasoning to solve problems. Reasoning connects the concepts they hold with the context of the problem at hand. Reasoning results are used to interpret, analyze, and make decisions. The reasoning in question focuses on adaptive reasoning (reflection, explanation, and justification). Research was conducted to describe the adaptive reasoning of high school students through the answers of students who participated in a reasoning competition. The instrument used is a numeracy test. This research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Analysis was conducted on the three student answers that obtained the highest scores (purposive sampling) and focused on the fertilizer theme. This theme is presented in graphic form as a stimulus with two questions that students need to answer. The data analysis technique in this research involved reducing the data. The result obtained was that one student used aspects of adaptive reasoning (reflection, explanation, and justification) completely in answering questions. This indicates that this student can solve problems using adaptive reasoning. This student is said to have good numeracy skills because they can use adaptive reasoning.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Literasi dan numerasi menjadi salah satu fokus pada dunia pendidikan di Indonesia. Hal ini terlihat dari pelaksanaan Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) yang menjadi bagian dari asesmen nasional dilakukan secara berkala sejak tahun 2021. Hasilnya dianalisis dan direfleksikan menjadi mutu pendidikan dari sekolah yang melaksanakan. Kemampuan numerasi siswa dapat dikatakan baik jika siswa dapat menggunakan nalarnya untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan. Penalarannya digunakan untuk mengaitkan antara konsep yang dimiliki dengan konteks masalah yang dihadapi. Hasil penalaran dimanfaatkan untuk menginterpresi, menganalisis, sampai mengambil keputusan. Penalaran yang dimaksud berfokus pada penalaran adaptif (reflecting, explaining, dan justifying). Penelitian dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran adaptif siswa SMA melalui jawaban siswa yang mengikuti lomba nalaria. Intrumen yang digunakan adalah tes numerasi. Jenis penelitian pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Analisis dilakukan pada tiga jawaban siswa yang memperoleh skor tertinggi (pusposive sampling) dan berfokus pada tema pupuk. Tema ini disajikan dalam bentuk grafik sebagai stimulus dan dua soal yang perlu dijawab siswa. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini dengan mereduksi data. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah satu siswa yang menggunakan aspek penalaran adaptif (reflecting, explaining, dan justifying) secara utuh dalam menjawab soal. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswa ini dapat dikatakan mampu menyelesaikan masalah dengan menggunakan penalaran adaptifnya. Siswa ini dikatakan memiliki kemampuan numerasi yang baik karena mampu mempergunakan penaralan adaptifnya.

Abstract

The lack of activities to strengthen engineering literacy implemented at the elementary school level and the dominant learning carried out using text books are the main factors in the low engineering literacy of elementary school students. This community service activity aims to strengthen the engineering literacy of elementary school students through the Hydraulic Robotic Arm (HydRA) assembly activity at SDN 21 Sungailiiat. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can increase students' knowledge and skills related to engineering literacy, which can be used and developed further to welcome the era of society 5.0. This community service activity is carried out through a series of activities, starting with an initial survey carried out at partner locations, followed by preparing activity plans and creating activity materials, up to the activity implementation stage. This activity took place for one day at SD Negeri 21 Sungailiat and was attended by 26 students of class V A. The activity of strengthening elementary school students' engineering literacy through the Hydraulic Robotic Arm (HydRA) assembly activity at SDN 21 Sungailiiat went well, as seen by the increase in knowledge and skills students related to engineering literacy.

Abstract

Automation control systems are pivotal in the advancement of Industry 4.0, especially within vocational school settings. Nevertheless, significant challenges arise due to the lack of adequate instructional tools, resulting in disparities among vocational schools across different regions. To address this issue, this study proposes the provision of trainer kits and the conduction of comprehensive training on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) to bolster practical learning experiences. Moreover, the integration of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach within vocational school curricula is deemed essential. The successful implementation of PBL at the Polman Negeri Babel campus serves as a model to be replicated among vocational school teachers, with the aim of enhancing student engagement and contributing to the development of basic technological solutions within the community.This community service initiative seeks to strengthen collaboration between vocational schools and higher vocational education institutions. The anticipated outcomes include the provision of instructional tools, such as trainer modules, and targeted training on PLC and HMI to facilitate practical learning. These efforts are intended to improve the competencies of both teachers and students in industrial automation control systems, thereby underscoring the critical role of higher vocational education institutions in the development of vocational schools. Evaluation of the initiative revealed high levels of perceived usefulness, with a rating of 92.5%, followed by the effectiveness of the delivery method at 86.88%, and the quality of training materials at 80.83%. These results highlight the significant impact and value of the provided training and resources.

Abstract

The fact that gadgets are no longer luxury items and every student certainly has them presents an opportunity for teachers to create meaningful learning. One way to do this is by conducting learning assisted by PhET Simulations. These simulations offer various concepts in mathematics, physics, biology, and chemistry to be taught in the form of simulations. The use of these simulations allows the role of the teacher as a learning facilitator to be effectively carried out theoretically. However, the use of simulations has not been carried out to assist teachers in teaching material. Strengthening needs to be done. The strengthening is carried out at SMP N 1 Pemali through providing focused reinforcement for Mathematics and Natural Sciences (IPA) teachers. The reinforcement implementation is equivalent to a 6-hour training with activities starting and ending with tests to see if there is any improvement in understanding related to the reinforcement provided. Information was obtained indicating a good improvement in understanding related to the use of PhET as a learning medium for teachers is 37,5 %. In addition, the reinforcement provided received a positive response. Reinforcement practice in using PhET simulations has a good impact on MIPA SMP’s teachers as facilitators in learning.

Abstract

The factor that must be considered in the machining process is the level of surface roughness of the material being processed. Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines help in producing large quantities of products without resetting the computer program. The process variables used in this study were feed speed with variations in levels of 140 mm/minute and 180 mm/minute, depth of ingestion with variations in levels of 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm, and feeding motion with variations in levels of 0.25 mm/put and 0.5mm/put. The analysis was carried out using the taguchi calculation method. The results of research data analysis that has been carried out on the surface roughness value of AISI 1040 steel can be determined that setting the variable settings in the CNC lathe machining process to produce the lowest surface roughness value on AISI 1040 steel material can be obtained by a combination of speed variables feed 180 m/minute (level 2), depth of feed 0.7 mm (level 2) and feed 0.25 mm/put (level 1) with a contribution value of . Where the contribution of feed motion makes the greatest contribution to the surface roughness response when compared to other factors, namely 31.3764%. The second contribution that influences the response to surface roughness is feed speed, which is 16.8977%. depth of ingestion is 5.1126%.

Abstract

Human life today is very dependent on electrical energy. In almost everyday life, people need electricity, whether in offices, households, education, industry, and others. Excessive use of electricity can cause waste both in terms of costs and energy itself. Careful monitoring is needed to find out how much electrical power is used in electronic equipment. The important thing for users to pay attention to is monitoring electrical power consumption so that the use of electronic equipment remains within the time and cost limits that have been previously set. Therefore, the aim of this research is to make it easier for users to carry out this monitoring through a website-based system. Data from the PZEM-004T sensor is processed by the ESP32 microcontroller, then sent to the database via the internet network. In this way, this information can be accessed by users anytime and anywhere via websites connected to the internet. The level of data accuracy on the website reaches 100%, according to the reading results from ESP32 and Power Quality Analyzer as a comparison.

Abstract

The snakehead fish is a type of freshwater fish that is widely cultivated due to its relatively high economic value. Achieving success in snakehead fish farming requires careful planning, effective management, understanding of cultivation techniques, and compliance with regulations and business requirements. However, temperature and pH checks in the fish pond at PT Mahkota Tanah Air are currently conducted manually. The environmental conditions of the pond significantly affect the freshwater fish farming process. Therefore, a modern technology-based detection system is needed to monitor the temperature and pH of the fish pond using the Fuzzy method. Thus, the implementation of this temperature and pH detection monitoring system can assist pond operators in monitoring the temperature and pH of the fish pond. The testing results of the temperature and pH sensors at PT Mahkota Tanah Air show an accuracy rate of 98%, indicating success.

Abstract

Attendance is an attendance list that is always used to view attendance data at an institution that wants to use it, because attendance has a value that is relevant enough to be used. In achieving data relevance for absenteeism, careful planning, effective management, and compliance with regulations and requirements are required. However, attendance at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic is still done manually. The conditions used greatly influence the technology used. Therefore, we need an attendance tool based on modern technology, namely RFID, which can be used to register attendance which is carried out by developing a system using the Prototype method. So with this RFID-based attendance system it can help the work of those in charge of managing attendance data.
