Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical dispositions using the PBL model setting STAD. The sample in this study was the second-semester students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the academic year 2020/2021 as many as 20 people. This study uses survey and correlational methods. The research instrument used a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire composed of 27 statements based on indicators of mathematical disposition, namely: 1) self-confidence, 2) self-efficacy, 3) curiosity, 4) happiness to do assignments, diligent and diligence, 5) flexible, and 6) reflective. The results showed that learning number theory using the PBL model setting STAD in second-semester students of the University of Flores' mathematics education study program for the 2020/2021 academic year got a positive response were on average students had a high mathematical disposition attitude indicator, namely 68.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the symbols and geometry that exist in the traditional house of the Lio tribe of Wolokoli Village, Wolowaru District, Ende Regency in ethnomathematics perspective in terms of mathematical concepts. This type of research is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects of this study consisted of several informants (chiefs, village heads, teachers and students). Using observation and interview techniques, and using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed the existence of symbol shapes and geometry in the building of traditional houses of the Lio tribe of Wolokoli Village, Wolowaru District, Ende Regency. Other symbolic forms include leke (foundation pillars made of stone and wood), there are twenty oval-shaped stone pillars and one rectangular wooden pole, Tenga (lante beam) in the form of a tube. Dalo is rectangular in shape. Rectangular lure. Wisu (four main pillars) shaped beam. Kebi (wall) is rectangular in shape. Mangu (nok pole) shaped beam. Block shaped jara. Pene / Pere is rectangular in shape. Eba beams. Lara is a block. Hubu (roof) is made of trapezoid-shaped reeds. Form symbols and geometrical structures that exist in the traditional Lio Tribe of Wolokoli Village, namely lines, angles, squares, rectangles, triangles, trapezoid, parallelogram, triangles, hexagons, beams, tubes, and triangular prisms. The shape in these parts of the house can change the paradigm of children and society that mathematics has a relationship with daily activities and relationships with culture and can be learned in a fun way in solving problems of learning geometry material.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penggunaan gadget dan peran orang tua terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa pada mata kuliah assesmen pembelajaran matematika di masa covid-19. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 30 mahasiswa dan orang tua mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan lembar observasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Sebelum melakukan uji hipotesis, dilakukan uji prasayarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji multikolinearitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penggunaan gadget berpengaruh secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan nilai sig. 0.00 < 0.05 dan nilai thit 6.644 > ttabel 2.048, (2) peran orang tua berpengaruh secara parsial dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan nilai sig. 0.040 < 0.05 dan nilai thit 2.153 > ttabel 2.048, (3) penggunaan gadget dan peran orang tua secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif secara simultan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa dengan nilai Fhit 28.159 lebih besar dari Ftabel 3.35. berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh penggunaan gadget dan peran orang tua terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi belajar terhadap tingkat stres mahasiswa yang sedang menulis tugas akhir (skripsi). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Semester akhir Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika yang sedang menulis skripsi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 26 orang. Teknik  pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mahasiswa dalam menulis tugas akhir tergolong cukup yaitu sebesar 66% dan untuk tingkat stress mahasiswa berada pada kategori sedang yaitu sebesar 77%, sedangkan hubungan motivasi terhadap tingkat stress mahasiswa diperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 dan diketahui nilai r hitung sebesar 0.877. Berdasarkan  hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara motivasi terhadap tingkat stress mahasiswa dalam penulisan tugas akhir (Skripsi).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap rasa ingin tahu belajar mahasiswa menggunakan model blended learning. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dan Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa semester IV Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester IV sebanyak 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan instrumen non-test, yaitu angket sikap rasa ingin tahu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada indikator bertanya tentang informasi atau masalah yang diberikan memperoleh presentase 60,28% dengan kategori tinggi, indikator berkeinginan mengetahui hal secara rinci memperoleh presentase 66,81% dengan kategori tinggi, indikator antusias/ semangat dalam belajar memperoleh presentase 61,25% dengan kategori tinggi, indikator mencari informasi dari berbagai sumber memperoleh presentase 61,04% dengan kategori tinggi dan indikator mencoba alternatif dari pemecahan masalah memperoleh persentase 56,67% dengan kategori sedang. Indikator berkeinginan mengetahui hal secara rinci mendapatkan presentase yang paling unggul dari indikator lainnya sedangkan indikator mencoba alternatif dari pemecahan masalah berada dalam kategori sedang. Semua mahasiswa merasa bahwa interaksi antar mahasiswa dan antara dosen dengan mahasiswa meningkat karena pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model blended learning.

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning kits in the form of learning implementation plan and student worksheet on the probability material viewed from the learning outcomes and interest of learning mathematics. The learning kits were developed by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using manipulative materials. This type of research was development research with three core stages in the process, i.e. the initial research stage, the development stage and the assessment stage. The subjects in this study used one of mathematics teachers with 31 students of VIII grade of Maria Goretti Ende junior high school. Quantitative data in the form of scores from the assessment results were converted and analyzed into qualitative data in the form of five-scale standard scores. Data from expert validation showed that the gained learning kits produced met valid criteria. The teacher and student assessment scores showed that the learning kits had met many practical criteria. Furthermore, the results of the test scores and the results of the questionnaire scores indicated that Problem Based Learning learning using manipulative materials were effective in terms of learning outcomes and students' interest in learning mathematics. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the mathematics learning kits on the probability material is feasible to use.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes and self-confidence of students in making mathematical models based on story problems are caused by the lack of precise learning models used by teachers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of MEAs on learning outcomes and self-confidence in grade VII students of SMPK St. Maria Goreti Ende. This research is a quasi-experimental research sample of 20 students of class VII SMPK St. The randomly selected Maria Gorety Ende. The instrument used in this study is a test of learning outcomes and self-confidence. Data collection techniques were carried out using tests and questionnaires. Data analysis was done descriptively and inferentially. The results of the study concluded that the learning outcomes test obtained a significant value of 0.000, which means that the p-value <0.005 and for self-confidence 0.000, it means the p-value <0.005, so a decision can be taken that Ho is rejected, which means that there are differences between the pre-test and post-test. test test of student learning outcomes and self-confidence before and after the use of the eliciting activities model. Therefore, it can be concluded that for the VII students of SMPK St. Maria Gorety after using the eliciting activities model, the learning outcomes and self-confidence became better than before using the eliciting activities model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) student activities in the learning process after applying a scientific approach to class VII of SMPK Maria Goretti Ende for the 2021/2022 academic year; (2) improving students' mathematical literacy skills through a scientific approach to class VII SMPK Maria Goretti Ende for the 2021/2022 academic year. The type of research used is classroom action research (PTK). PTK is carried out in two cycles where each cycle is carried out in two meetings through four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique is a test of mathematical literacy ability and observation of the implementation of learning. Data analysis uses qualitative that describes student activities during the learning process and calculates the percentage of student learning completion with a completion level of 75%. The results showed that the application of learning with a scientific approach can increase student activity and mathematical literacy skills. This can be seen from the results of observations of student activities during the learning process in the first cycle reached 66% while in cycle II it increased by 90%. This means that there is an increase of 24%; and the percentage of completion of students' mathematical literacy ability in cycle I reached 65% with an average of 72 while in cycle II it reached 90% with an average of 85. It is proven that the application of learning with a scientific approach can increase student activity and students' mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to think mathematically creatively in terms of the mathematical ability of grade VII students of SMPN SATAP Ligalejo in solving quadrilateral problems. This type of research uses the Qualitative Descriptive method. The selection of research subjects is based on the category of students' mathematical abilities, that is students with high, medium and low skills. So 6 students were obtained from 22 students. The instruments used are tests, interviews and documentation. The data collection techniques used are test, interview and documentation techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is qualitative data analysis starting with data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. This study's results showed that students with high mathematical abilities were included in the inter-achievement of mathematical creative thinking abilities quite well, with an average score of 52.46%.  Meanwhile, students who have moderate mathematical ability are included in the inter-achievement of mathematical creative thinking skills are not good, with an average score of 31.15%. Students who have low mathematical ability are included in the inter-achievement of mathematical creative thinking ability is very poor, with an average score percentage of 16.39%.
