Abstract

Abstract - Industrial and construction projects are one of the sectors that support economic growth in Indonesia. Projects are required to be managed to achieve the targets that have been set. One of the construction companies PT. LDP specializing in engineering received the Air Receiver Tank project from one of the clients and the project was delayed from a predetermined deadline. Such delays have consequences for the decrease in client confidence in the performance of the company. Therefore, evaluation and analysis related to the performance of the project are required to the time and cost of the project using the Earned Value Method (EVM). Scheduling analysis uses Precedence Diagram Method (PDM) and crashing to speed up the duration of project completion. The results of the study based on EVM analysis showed that the project experienced delays with an estimated project completion time of 88 days and an estimated project completion cost of Rp662,241,998.41. Based on the analysis using PDM and crashing obtained the results of acceleration from 95 days to 65 days. The acceleration alternative used is to increase the workforce by 50% with a cost increase of 13.89% of the direct labor cost at the actual duration

Abstract

Abstract - Scheduling is needed to run the project optimally, efficiently and according to the planned schedule. There are several factors that make the project late. The causes are ineffective working hours, late arrival of materials, and high work productivity. Waste water treatment plan is one of the many projects undertaken by PT.Samudra Mas Nusantara. In this project there was a delay of 34 days from the planned duration of 75 days to 109 days. The scheduling method used is the Precedence Diagram Method. The duration of project completion is accelerated by analyzing the acceleration of each activity. The s-curve is used to see the progress of the project each week. The results of the research show that there is 1 critical path, namely the path with activities A-B1-B2-C1-C2-D111-D121-D131- D141-D21-D22-D23-D24-D25-E1-E4-F-G H. The duration of the activity can be accelerated by 35 days from 109 days to 74 days with an increase in costs of 3.03% from Rp.1,822,201,012- up to Rp1,877,287,312,-.

Abstract

Abstract - Construction company in Karangpilang received an order for the Flue Stack project. There was a delay on this project, so the company has to pay a fine of 0,2% of the initial contract which is calculated everyday. Therefore, research is needed to analyze project scheduling so that optimal time and cost are obtained from working on the Flue Stack project. The methods used in this study are the Time Cost Trade Off method. Crashing is carried out on several critical activities, such as marking/cutting, roll, assembly ring, blasing/primer, assembly segment, finish painting, and packing. This research used an alternative to crashing with additional overtime and labor. The results of this research obtained the optimal time and cost using Time Cost Trade Off method with alternative additional 50% labor. The result of crash duration is less 74 days from actual schedule, with cost Rp.3.805.459.099,- there is a decreased of 13,58% or Rp.597.910.301,- from the actual duration fee of Rp.4.403.369.400,-. Comparison of flue stack progress using the S curve, it was found that the schedule with accelerated duration could be completed faster that the actual duration because the more sloping line indicated greater weekly progress

Abstract

In the shipbuilding sector, nuclear reactors are one component that important in nuclear powered ships. A ship that has an identity as a nuclear powered ship has been applied in various developed countries to be used as war interests and as an icebreaker. Its like radioisotope, until now it has experienced growth and regeneration in the fourth, where generation IV is called the most innovative reactor. The best known technology is PWR. However, this PWR will be simplified in the concept of being small compartment. The concept will be a compartment structure analysis concept at the writing of this thesis. Therefore, this analysis is carried out to find out how to analyse the compartment structure in its application on nuclear powered vessels. The reactor’s nuclear compartment design will be analysed with autodesk fusion 360. The method used id finite element analysis. The compartment structure conditions that will be discussed are when exposed within effect of neutron. These condition, will be examined from changes in material properties and how the results of the efficiency of stress and strain in small compartment nuclear reactors. The material used is stainless steel 304, steel and polyethylene. The efficiency result obtained were 4,77%.

Abstract

Scheduling is an important thing. Scheduling systems that are not suitable will have an impact on delays in the production process and delivery times. Such as problems in the High Pressure Heater production process in General Engineering division of PT. PAL Indonesia, there is a considerable inadequacy of the duration between actual production and planned production. In this study, it tries to apply and compare the proposed method of Non Delay Schedule Algorithm with the company scheduling. So from the choice of method, it is expected to produce an optimal makespan, minimize costs, and increase machine utility. Non Delay Algorithm scheduling produces sequences based on the smallest start time is Leg – Baffle Block – Head1 – Shell Skirt – Head2. While the sequences based on the completion time is Leg – Head1 – Head2 – Shell Skirt – Baffle Block. The scheduling sequence produces makespan of 589.70 hours and can minimize makespan from the company scheduling by 35.60% or equivalent to 326.07 hours. The mean shop utility in Non-Delay Algorithm scheduling has increased by 5.04% compared with company scheduling. In addition, costs of NonDelay Algorithm method decreased by 46.16% or Rp. 12,440,314, - more economical than company scheduling.

Abstract

According to the minister of industry, despite being under pressure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of industrial sub-sectors grew very high in 2021. With this increase, the company finally carried out an evaluation. PT.AAM is still not optimal in meeting the supply of raw materials for fire door production. The main cause that often occurs is the large number of purchases of raw, causing hoarding which can affect the total cost of raw material inventory. Researchers will analyze these problems using the Economic Order Quantity method. The results using EOQ can result in inventory costs being decreased by an average of Rp.1.296.922. with less ordering frequency and optimum cycle. The reorder has been determined by the number of calculations from the reorder point.

Abstract

The shipbuilding industry is a fabrication industry in the ship sector that involves the use of materials and manufacturing processes.. When a shipbuilding project is finished later than expected, the shipyard is required under the contract agreement to pay a penalty. PT Batam Expresindo Shipyard must pay a penalty equal to 1 mill of the contract value every day because the implementation is delayed, as was the case with the 17M Aluminum Fisheries Supervisory Shipbuilding project. One solution that can be done is by crashing the project on the work that is on the critical path. This research uses Critical Path Method (CPM) and Time Cost Trade Off method. The results of the analysis found that the optimal time and cost with an alternative addition of labor and additional working hours of 5 hours from normal working hours with a productivity of 80%. The resulting crashing project duration is 30 days faster than the actual duration, from a total project duration of 222 days to 192 days with an additional crashing project cost of Rp. 76. 719,846.

Abstract

PT. BBI (Boma Bisma Indra) is one of the manufacturing companies, working based on orders from consumers, which starts from the design process (Engineering To Order). The products produced include pressure vessels, condensers, cranes and heat exchangers. The problem that arises is that production has been experiencing delays, one of which is due to labor. Could be because the composition of the number of workers is not right or the workload is not yet suitable. To find out these problems, resource leveling methods are used to optimize / evenly distribute the number of human resources used so that there is no significant difference from the number of workers in each activity, and avoid the possibility of excess labor. In its application this method can use the PDM (Precedence Diagram Method) method. After the leveling of human resources (resource leveling) will then be performed calculations of human resource needs using work load analysis to determine the workload on each work activity. The results showed a labor of 1 person marking, 2 people leave, 2 people drilling, 2 people assembly, and finishing 6 people. With the existing workload produced more labor, namely marking 1 person, cutting 5 people, drilling 3 people, assembling 6 people, and finishing 21 people.

Abstract

In a company, the arrangement of machinery and equipment affects production activities, especially the effectiveness of the production process time and the fatigue experienced by operators on the production floor. A good layout is a layout that is arranged based on the flow pattern of materials and equipment that is regular and effective. Based on observations made at CV. Anugrah Masruroh Teknik, the problem in this business is the placement of facilities that hinder the process of moving materials. The location of receiving materials inhibits the process of moving materials from one machine to another. This study aims to obtain a better layout to minimize the distance or minimize the distance of movement between production stations. The method used in this research is BLOCPLAN (Block Layout Overview with Computerized Planning Using Logic and Algorithms). The resulting 5 alternative layouts can be made which are then selected to determine the most efficient alternative layout based on the smallest material handling costs. The results showed an alternative layout resulting from the BLOCPLAN method with a minimization of the distance between facilities of around 68.5% and a reduction in material handling costs of around 68.3% of the actual layout. The redesign of the production facility layout of CV Anugrah Masruroh Teknik is considered effective using the BLOCPLAN method.
