Abstract

Keberlanjutan produksi larva rajungan Portunus pelagicus telah dilakukan, namun sintasan yang diperoleh belum stabil. Aktivitas pencernaan diketahui sangat terkait dengan jenis pakan yang dikonsumsi larva sehingga berdampak terhadap pertumbuhan dan sintasannya. Enzim amilase, lipase, pepsin dan tripsin merupakan indikator biologis yang dapat menunjukkan kesesuaian jenis pakan yang dikonsumsi larva melalui kemampuannya untuk mencerna. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas enzim pencernaan pada larva rajungan. Data aktivitas enzim pencernaan yang diperoleh disajikan dalam bentuk grafik dan dianalisa secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, aktivitas enzim amilase, lipase dan tripsin mulai terdeteksi pada larva umur satu hari. Pola aktifitas enzim amilase menunjukkan peningkatan sejak larva berumur satu hari hingga hari ketujuhbelas kemudian cenderung menurun sampai akhir penelitian. Aktivitas enzim tripsin tinggi pada hari kesatu, tapi cenderung menurun pada hari ketiga dan kelima, dan meningkat lagi pada hari ketujuh sampai hari terakhir penelitian. Aktivitas amilase dan tripsin tertinggi selama periode waktu tersebut terjadi pada larva umur sebelas hari, sedangkan aktivitas enzim lipase cenderung stabil dari awal sampai akhir penelitian. Aplikasi budidaya, pemberian pakan buatan dengan kandungan karbohidrat, protein dan lemak tinggi sebaiknya dilakukan saat larva berumur sebelas hari.

Abstract

Perkembangan organ pencernaan sejalan dengan pertumbuhan larva, dan spesifik untuk setiap spesies. Proses kimia pencernaan dalam larva rajungan dimulai pada segmen lambung karena enzim pencernaan yang berperan dalam proses pencernaan kimia mulai dihasilkan oleh kelenjar lambung.. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perkembangan organ pencernaan dan aktivitas enzim pencernaan larva rajungan. Data perkembangan organ pencernaan dan aktivitas enzim pencernaan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil yang diperoleh dapat menjadi referensi dalam menentukan pencapaian fase definitif organ pencernaan. Berdasarkan studi histologis, organ pencernaan larva rajungan mulai berkembang ke tahap definitif pada hari 5 dan mencapai kesempurnaan pada hari ke -13 dan aktivitas enzim amilase dari organ pencernaan larva rajungan meningkat pada hari -5, demikian juga aktivitas enzim lipase dan pepsin.

Abstract

Pearl catfish has the main advantage of fast growth. To maximize this growth, one of the things that must be considered is the feed given. The use of factory feed for catfish seeds is common, so it is necessary to use feed raw materials that are around to be used as raw materials for homemade feed. Vegetable waste such as cabbage and tofu dregs can be used as fish feed which is processed into pellets. Cabbage vegetable waste, tofu dregs, bamboo shoots and bran have protein and carbohydrates that can be used for fish growth. This study consisted of 2 stages, namely stage 1 analyzing the comparison between factory feed and homemade feed and stage 2 analyzing the difference in dosage of homemade feed on the growth and efficiency of pearl catfish (C. gariepinus) seed feed. Data were analyzed using 2 independent samples (unpaired) t-test and ANOVA test. The results showed that the provision of factory feed and homemade feed did not have a significant effect on the growth of length, weight, and feed efficiency of catfish fry. Catfish seeds can be fed homemade feed with ingredients from fermented cabbage waste, tofu dregs flour, rebon flour, bran flour, plus vitamins and minerals. The results of the analysis of variance in the treatment of different feed doses (4%, 5%, 6%, 7%, and 10% per fish body weight), had a significant effect on the growth of catfish length and weight, and had no significant effect on feed efficiency. The higher the dose given for the maintenance period of 30 days of catfish fry gave a good effect with the best dose of 10% per fish body weight

Abstract

Bungkil  kelapa sawit dapat dimanfaatkan  sebagai pakan ikan dengan kandungan protein sebesar 14%, namun kandungan ini masih rendah sehingga untuk mengatasi  masalah  ini  perlunya  dikaji  tentang  pengolahan  bungkil kelapa dengan  mencampurkan pakan  komersial,  sehingga  bungkil  inti  sawit  mempunyai nilai tambah sebagai bahan baku pakan ikan. Tujuan penelitian menganalisis perbedaan pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang (Clarias  gariepinus) yang diberikan pakan pelet berbahan bungkil sawit dan berbahan dedak.  Rancangan penelitian dengan menggunakan 2 perlakuan, yaitu: perlakuan pertama (P1) pakan berbahan dasar bungkil sawit dan perlakuan kedua (P2) pakan berbahan dasar dedak. Data dianalisis  menggunakan uji 2 sampel bebas (tidak berpasangan). Data  hasil pengamatan dimasukkan dalam tabel dan dianalisis menggunakan uji z (z-Test: Two Sample for Means).Hasil penelitian  pada hari ke-35 pertumbuhan berat total P1 (88,,11 g) relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan P2 (51,96 g), pertumbuhan panjang total P1 (5.90 cm) relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan P2 (3,93 cm). Laju pertumbuhan harian P1 (2.51 g) relatif lebih tinggi dibandingkan P2 (1.43 g), konversi pakan P1 (2.03) relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan P2 (3,18%). Kualitas air media pemeliharaan yang diukur adalah suhu berkisar antara 26,74 - 26,76 oC,  pH 7,10 – 7,14, DO 4,6 – 4,9 mg/l, TAN 0,75 – 0,82 mg/l.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pakan pelet berbahan bungkil sawit memberikan hasil pertumbuhan berat dan panjang ikan lele sangkuriang (Clarias gariepinus) lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan pertumbuhan ikan lele sangkuriang (Clarias gariepinus) yang diberikan pakan berbahan dedak. Sedangkan konversi pakan penambahan dedak lebih tinggi jika dibandingkan dengan  penambahan bungkil sawit.

Abstract

Kedindingan Island is one of the Marine Conservation areas in East Kalimantan Province with rich natural resource. This study aims to determine the extent of coral distribution and health, determine the health condition of live coral cover and to formulate management strategies in Kedindingan Island for the realization of sustainable coral management. The results of the analysis using Landsat 8 imagery showed live coral was 55.44 Ha in 2015 and 48.06 Ha in 2022. Love coral cover in stations 1,2, and 4 were in good category i.e. 52,53$, 53,6%, and 60,34%, respectively . whilst in station 3  31,34% was moderate category. There are three priority management strategies for coral ecosystem management in Kedindingan Island, the first is to create a team in each region consisting of policy makers, academics, and the community, the second is to increase the role of NGOs and local communities in monitoring and supervising coral ecosystems, and the third is to improve management and develop rehabilitation methods and monitor corals regularly in Kedindingan Island.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the addition of methionine amino acids into feed with different doses on the growth rate of hoven’s carp (Leptobarbus hoevenii) and determine the best dose that improves the growth. The test fish was a hoven’s carp that was reared for 30 days. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments. The treatments included: A (0.0%), B (0.1%), C (0.2%), D (0.3%), and E (0.4%).  The density of fish was 20 individuals per container by giving feed insatiation. The results of the study showed that the treatment of the addition of methionine amino acids in the feed had a significant effect on absolute weight growth, total length growth, specific growth rate, and feed conversion ratio (P< 0.05). Treatment E (0.4%) gave the best results of absolute weight growth (2.94 gr), total length growth, and (1.70 cm), specific growth rate (5.73%). Keywords: aquaculture, fish growth, methionine

Abstract

Beras Basah Island in Bontang City has become one of the attractions of marine ecotourism.  Ecotourism activities on Beras Basah Island cause an economic impact on local communities. So this study aims to determine the economic impact of ecotourism on Beras Basah Island, Bontang City. The data analysis method used is a multiplier analysis consisting of Keynesian Local Multiplier Income, Ratio Income Multiplier Type I and Ratio Income Multiplier Type II. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the ecotourism business on Beras Basah Island has not had an impact on the local community, this can be seen in the Keynesian Income Multiplier of 0.22, the Type I Income Multiplier Ratio was recorded at 1.47 and the Type II Income Multiplier Ratio was 1.91.
