In Jepara, various cultural activities are conducted regularly every year. This cultural activity is always accompanied by a culinary presentation in accordance with the activities, needs, and interests. One of the cultural activities in Jepara is the lomban festival. In this local tradition, a variety of culinary is presented as complement to the cultural activities. The culinary consists of various types, such as market snacks and complete food with rice, vegetables, and side dishes. The culinary in this lomban activity is described in sequence and detail. The culinary depicts the belief, symbolic and spiritual meaning of the supporters of that culture. Through this study, various types of culinary in cultural activities are well described including the symbolic and spiritual meaning behind the culinary presentation.

The development of handicraft tourism in the regency of Jepara attempts to empower local communities as the owners and preservers of local values. Several clusters that become the focus of the study in this research involve the clusters of furniture and woodcarving, sculpture, rattan, troso weaving, batik painting and monel. Some clusters are not ready yet to welcome the idea of handicrafts tourism. However, the clusters of furniture and woodcarving, troso weaving and sculpture have claimed to be ready for the establishment of handicrafts tourism. Some of the factors that strengthen the readiness of the three mentioned clusters are the establishment of a local community that is able to accommodate business networks and the readiness of local artisans and entrepreneurs in providing tourist services as part of economic activities.Â It apparently requires a long process of socialization, nevertheless, the local culture as the communityâ€™s potential is expected to encourage the readiness of the community.

ABSTRAK Islamisasi di Kudus tidak lepas dari peran sunan yang ada di lokasi tersebut. Antara lain Sunan Kudus, Sunan Muria, Kyai Telingsing, dan Mbah Dudo. Mereka telah menyebarkan agama Islam dengan berbagai dinamikanya. Para tokoh ini meninggalkan jejak historis berupa makam, masjid, dan tradisi. Selain berupa jejak historis, para sunan ini juga meninggalkan nilai-nilai ketokohan yang dapat diwariskan bagi generasi berikutnya. Para sunan ini mempunyai keterkaitan dengan budaya lokal masyarakat dan diyakini masyarakat akan keberadaannya pada masa lalu. Melalui penggalian identifikasi maupun pemaknaan simbolik nilai-nilai ketokohan tersebut, diharapkan dapat disosialisasikan kepada para pengguna, pemakai maupun penikmat wisata ziarah. Para sunan mewariskan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang positif sebagai tokoh agama dan penyebar agama Islam yang gigih. Sosoknya merupakan pribadi yang cukup toleran terhadap perbedaan kepercayaan penduduk di sekelilingnya. Metode dakwah yang dikembangkan menghargai perbedaan namun tetap berpegang teguh pada ajaran Islam. Beliau-beliau merupakan pribadi yang mempunyai kemampuan ilmu agama dan ilmu kanuragan yang mumpuni sehingga disegani kawan maupun lawan. Makna simbolisasi dari perjuangan para sunan adalah keteladanan yang baik dan mulia, hidup sederhana, dekat dengan yang dipimpin, dan bijaksana. Nilai-nilai warisan budaya lama serta tradisi yang telah berakar dalam hati masyarakat, tetap dihargai dan dihormati, sepanjang tidak bertentangan dengan nilai dan cita-cita agama Islam. Justru nilai-nilai lama diperkaya dengan nilai-nilai budaya Islam Kata-Kata Kunci : Dinamika, Ketokohan, dan nilai-nilai.

ABSTRACT The entrepreneurship of the success entrepreneur is always associated with capability, courage, dependability, and creativity. Itâ€™s belonged to the entrepreneur of carve industry in Jepara in 1990-2000 be in conformity with entry of exporter and international market. The things can be supported it, among other things: their capability to adapted with what people want and the solution is make an innovation (creativity), their honestly to do what the Islam says that work is a part of worship, and their orientation to gain. Kebutuhan informasi merupakan salah satu aspek penting yang perlu diperhatikan guna pengembangan perpustakaan. Salah satu bentuk pelayanan perpustakaan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi pemustakanya tercermin dalam koleksi bahan pustaka lengkap yang sesuai dengan visi, misi, tujuan, dan kebutuhan pemustaka. Jika kebutuhan informasi tinggi, maka tingkat ketersediaan koleksi pun harus tinggi dan selaras dengan kebutuhan informasi tersebut. Objek penelitian ini adalah ketersediaan koleksi buku bidang Ilmu Perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Budaya Undip. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa mengenai ketersediaan buku bidang Ilmu Perpustakaan dan kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Prodi DIII Perpustakaan & Informasi Undip secara lebih mendalam menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa ketersediaan buku Ilmu Perpustakaan merupakan representasi usaha Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Budaya dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu Perpustakaan terutama pada usaha optimalisasi penunjang kegiatan akademik mahasiswa. Tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa Jurusan Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Prodi DIII Perpustakaan & Informasi masih rendah sehingga ketersediaan koleksi yang ada perlu ditinjau kembali untuk lebih ditingkatkan sehingga sesuai dengan tujuan pemenuhan kebutuhan mahasiswa. Simpulan terakhir adalah terdapat hambatan internal dan eksternal dalam usaha pemenuhan kebutuhan mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Budaya.

This article is one of wide studies that analyze culinary food served in cultural activities at Jepara. Those cultural activities become tourist attractions. This study uses qualitative method includes collection of primary and secondary sources such as literature study, observation, structured and in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Historically, cultural activities have been existed during the ancestor period, it is always accompanied by the presence of culinary that has philosophical and historical significance among them. The purpose of this study is to develop culinary culture into business units for the community by combining cultural and tourism market values that have been existed previously. The culinary varieties are expected to be able to contribute in tourism development through the establishment of new business units.

Monel handicrafts grow and develop in Jepara district. It has characteristic that the skill of making monel art is preserved from generation to generation. Its ability to survive was influenced by how much the support of community. Community care and love for the craft can support the existance and development of monel handicraft. The process of descending monel crafts has the advantage that each family as a monel craft business unit has its own characteristics and competitiveness. On the other hand, there is no formal container for learning these skills. This makes monel crafts less open to a wider regeneration process. Even though regeneration really determines the development in the future. Looking at the current development of the craft, efforts to make a more open regeneration process seem necessary. Through this paper, the author try to find steps that can be taken by the supporting community and the Regional Government to form a formal and informal container. It is intended that interested people have access to learn about this craft. Regeneration is carried out to maintain the continuity and development of monel crafts.

Sales strategy in entrepreneurship activities has an important role in the success of the business. It takes persistence to create mutual trust between the seller and the buyer. Some of the efforts made by sellers who are engaged in the MSME sector in Semarang, among others, maintain quality, have standard prices according to the market and conduct healthy competition between sellers with the same or various types of business.

Kudus is an area rich in historical and cultural sites related to the spread of Islam. In several tombs of religious leaders in Kudus, there are still traditional ceremonies which are always complemented by various culinary traditions. What are the symbolic and philosophical meanings of each of the traditional culinary traditions in some ways related to the five prominent figures of Islam in Kudus? In writing this article the research begins with collecting data which includes the collection of primary and secondary sources such as literature, observation, participatory, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with informants from various elements. All data that has been collected through the various approaches above will then be classified, connected or accumulated between data from one another, linked between primary sources and library sources or secondary sources, as a form of interpretation and synthesized in order to obtain research results . The results of the study show that the symbolic and philosophical meanings of each culinary tradition in some traditional ceremonies relating to the characterization of Islamization in Kudus are closely related to the greatness of the figure itself. Based on the culinary tradition, it can be seen that the beliefs of the Kudus community still have a relationship with previous beliefs (pre-Islam).
