Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the characteristics and relations of counselor, obstacle of media use, information seeking phases on Cyber Extension and Cyber Extension utilization. The information stages intended use the theory of information seeking, namely: starting, chaining, browsing, differenciating, monitoring, and extracting. This study is conducted to 61 counselors in the Regent/District of Bogor, originationg from three different BP3K. This study is a quantitative research utilizing questionnaires as the research  instrument and applying Spearman rank statistic test to analyze the relation between the characteristics of a counselor, the obstacle of media use for information seeking process, and Cyber Extension utilization. The study results state that the characteristics of a counselor has a definite relation with the information seeking phases on the age and motivation indicators. The obstacle of media use has a definite relation with the information seeking phase, and the information seeking phase in Cyber Extension has a definite and positive relation with the utilization of Cyber Extension. Tahapan informasi yang diamksud menggunakan teori pencarian informasi yaitu, starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring dan extracting. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 61 penyuluh di Kabupaten Bogor yang berasal dari tiga BP3K yang berbeda.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai instrumen penelitian dan menggunakan uji statistik rank Spearman untuk menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik penyuluh, hambatan penggunaan media untuk proses pencarian informasi dan, penggunaan Cyber Extension. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa karakteristik penyuluh memiliki hubungan nyata dengan tahapan pencarian informasi  pada indikator umur dan motivasi. Hambatan penggunaan media  berhubungan nyata dengan tahapan pencarian informasi dan tahapan pencarian informasi pada Cyber Extension berhubungan positif dan sangat nyata dengan pemanfaatan Cyber Extension.Kata kunci: Cyber Extension, Pencarian Informasi, Penyuluh

Abstract

Current sustainable development of agriculture is one of which depends on the capacity of agricultural extension workers. The development of information technology contributes to the means for increasing this capacity. Cyber Extension, which is the embodiment of Law No. 16 of 2006 concerning agricultural extension systems, is expected to be fully utilized by extension agents throughout Indonesia. This is so that the instructors can provide information and develop innovations in agriculture. This study aims to explain the use of media and the stage of information seeking by instructors in Bogor district. The concept used in this research is Cyber Extension, media use and the smoothness of information retrieval. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through surveys. A total of 61 agricultural instructors in Bogor Regency were interviewed through a closed questionnaire. In the media use variable, the results of the study show that the extension agent's ability to access is good while the availability of facilities and operational costs are still in the less category. When the smoothness of the information search process is in the smooth category.

Abstract

Peningkatan keterampilan dalam bidang desain grafis menggunakan aplikasi Canva bagi guru-guru Pendidkan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di Kabupaten Bogor ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan serta keterampilan dasar desain untuk digunakan dalam bidang pendidikan. Pelatihan ini merupakan salah satu sesi yang diberikan dalam rangkaian kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) dengan tema peningkatan kompetensi tenaga kependidikan PAUD berbasis teknologi dan komunikasi oleh program studi komunikasi Sekolah Vokasi IPB bekerjasama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Bogor. Metode pelatihan yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan ceramah, demonstrasi, dan latihan dengan mekanisme penyampaian secara tatap muka. Hasil dari pelatihan ini peserta sangat antusias selama mengikuti pelatihan, peserta mengerti dan memahami dasar-dasar desain aplikasi Canva untuk digunakan dalam bidang pendidikan, serta peserta mampu memproduksi desain media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan menarik yang di publikasikan pada whatsapp group dan media sosial. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa program PkM ini telah mampu memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar dan tepat sasaran bagi guru PAUD di Kabupaten Bogor. Bentuk pelatihan seperti ini merupakan bentuk yang sangat efektif untuk memberikan penyegaran dan tambahan wawasan serta pengetahuan baru khususnya dalam bidang desain grafis yang digunakan dalam mendukung media pembelajaran untuk guru PAUD.

Abstract

Social media has become one of the main channels for disseminating information, including local news relevant to people’s daily lives. This study aims to analyze the reception of followers of the Instagram account @radarbogor.id in consuming local news. The research used a qualitative approach with a reception analysis method based on Stuart Hall’s theory, which classifies audience responses into dominant-hegemonic, negotiated, and oppositional positions. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with three informants who actively follow the account. The results show that the followers tend to interpret the content from dominant-hegemonic and negotiated positions. They consider the @radarbogor.id account to be a reliable and up-to-date news source, though some still independently verify the information. Factors that influence positive reception include the informative nature of the content, visually appealing design, and simple language. However, criticism was noted regarding the poor audio quality in video uploads, which can affect audience engagement. This study concludes that social media followers are not passive consumers but active interpreters of media messages who critically evaluate the information they receive.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan podcast oleh Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika (Diskominfo)Kota Bogor sebagai sarana komunikasi dalam menyosialisasikan program pemerintah, serta mengidentifikasi faktor-faktoryang memengaruhi efektivitasnya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus, penelitian inimengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitianmenunjukkan bahwa podcast seperti Bilik Sipatahunan, Mutiara Qolbu, dan Go-SHIP telah diluncurkan dengan formatmenarik dan konten relevan, namun belum sepenuhnya dikenal oleh masyarakat luas, terutama kelompok usia di atas 40tahun. Faktor pendukung efektivitas podcast meliputi akses mudah dan fleksibel, format komunikasi yang santai, serta timkreatif yang kompeten. Sementara itu, faktor penghambatnya mencakup rendahnya literasi digital, kurangnya promosi,dan keterbatasan anggaran. Diskominfo Kota Bogor perlu meningkatkan promosi dan edukasi digital, serta melakukanevaluasi sistematis untuk mengoptimalkan peran podcast sebagai media komunikasi publik yang inovatif dan efektif

Abstract

  This study analyzes the organization process of a formal government event, focusing on the implementation of organizational communication. This research addresses the challenges of coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing dynamic changes during events. The objective is to examine the stages of event management and identify effective communication patterns applied by PT Suara Sanara Juara in the High Level Meeting TPID Banten 2026. This study used a qualitative case study approach, with data collected through participatory observation, informal interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that the success of the event is largely determined by the dominance of vertical communication, where all information flows centrally through the Project Manager, ensuring clear instructions and fast decision-making. However, flexibility in handling technical changes, such as sudden adjustments to the event rundown, is supported by horizontal and diagonal communication among divisions. The integration of real-time communication tools, particularly eartech, plays a crucial role in maintaining coordination efficiency during the execution phase. The study highlights that the combination of structured communication hierarchy and adaptive coordination strategies becomes the key factor in minimizing miscommunication and ensuring the effectiveness of formal government event implementation Keywords:Event management, Organizational communication, Government event, Communication pattern, Event organizer     ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menganalisis proses penyelenggaraan acara formal pemerintahan dengan fokus pada penerapan komunikasi organisasi. Permasalahan penelitian terletak pada kompleksitas koordinasi antar pemangku kepentingan serta dinamika perubahan teknis selama pelaksanaan acara. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengkaji tahapan penyelenggaraan acara dan mengidentifikasi pola komunikasi yang efektif pada kegiatan High Level Meeting TPID Banten 2026 oleh PT Suara Sanara Juara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara informal, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan acara sangat ditentukan oleh dominasi komunikasi vertikal yang terpusat pada Manajer Proyek, sehingga mampu menjaga kejelasan instruksi dan mempercepat pengambilan keputusan. Di sisi lain, komunikasi horizontal dan diagonal berperan penting dalam menangani perubahan teknis secara cepat, seperti penyesuaian jadwal akibat keterlambatan peserta. Penggunaan eartech sebagai media komunikasi terbukti meningkatkan efektivitas koordinasi secara real-time di lapangan. Temuan utama penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kombinasi antara struktur komunikasi yang terpusat dan fleksibilitas koordinasi menjadi kunci dalam meminimalkan miskomunikasi serta memastikan kelancaran penyelenggaraan acara formal pemerintahan.   Kata Kunci: Manajemen event, Komunikasi organisasi, Event pemerintahan, pola komunikasi, Event Organizer

Abstract

This study examines the application of Walter Murch's Rule of Six as a post-production decision-making framework for the Instagram Reels content on the Tenchi Tirtayasa account. This project addresses the challenge of bridging the gap between the image of a premium restaurant and the necessity to convey a warmer, more accessible brand experience through short-form videos. A descriptive project-based methodology was employed, involving the observation of the production process, documentation of the editing workflow, analysis of Episode 3 of the Reels series, and review of Instagram Reels Insights as the data. The analysis reveals that the six priorities of editing—Emotion, Story, Rhythm, eye-trace, Two-dimensional screen space, and Three-dimensional action space—assisted the editor in selecting shots, organizing visual sequences, managing pacing, and maintaining spatial continuity in the vertical 9:16 format. Episode 3 garnered 9,132 Views, 229 Likes, 10 Comments, 9 Shares, and a 93.4% non-follower reach rate. These findings suggest that a Rule of Six-based workflow can enhance soft-selling Storytelling, reinforce visual consistency, and improve the communicative value of restaurant reel content.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology offers significant opportunities for rural transformation through the Smart Village concept. However, many residents still lack awareness and understanding of the benefits and implementation of Smart Village programs. This study aims to analyze how the Design Thinking theory can be applied in the design of digital content to increase public awareness of Smart Village initiatives in Kertayasa Village. Utilizing a qualitative method, the research employs Focus Group Interviews (FGIs) with 13 active social media users in the village, and in-depth interviews with village officials. The study adopts the Design Thinking framework a user-centered theory consisting of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. As a result, four digital posters and four short videos were created and distributed via WhatsApp and TikTok, the most commonly used platforms by the community. The findings reveal that the digital content significantly improved residents' understanding and pride in the Smart Village programs, especially in the areas of waste management (TPS 3R), SIMAK, and digital library. The novelty of this study lies in the contextual application of Design Thinking for content development in a rural digital literacy context, a topic that remains underexplored in existing literature. In conclusion, Design Thinking is proven to be an effective and adaptive method for designing impactful, user-centered digital communication strategies in rural development initiatives

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the strategic approach employed by the PublicRelations Division of Polres Sukabumi Kota in leveraging the online media platformMata Peristiwa for publication purposes, as well as to identify challengesencountered in this process. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive methodology, thefindings indicate that the publication strategy adheres to a structured internalworkflow. In this process, news drafts are initially handled by the Public InformationSection (Penmas) and subsequently verified by the Multimedia Information andDocumentation Section (PIDM) before being forwarded to the editorial team. Onaverage, the division disseminates 40 news narratives monthly. The identifiedchallenges include delays in acquiring statements from sources, limited humanresources, and the necessity for linguistic adjustments between formal institutionallanguage and online media. The study concludes that the deployment of specializedonline portals significantly enhances transparency and expedites the disseminationof police activity narratives to the public.
