Abstract

Assessment literacy is an essential part of the teaching and learning process. Good assessment practices will have an impact on the quality of learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to investigate assessment literacy among educators and identify the effects of gender, education, training, and work experience. A random sample of 134 teachers participated in this exploratory study. Tests and questionnaires have been employed in data collection methods. The data were analyzed using dummy variable regression analysis. This study found that teachers' assessment literacy was poor. Gender and training had an impact on assessment literacy, while education and work experience had no bearing on it. A more in-depth study with a wider scope needs to be conducted to gain a more comprehensive insight into teachers' assessment literacy. It is also worth studying in more depth what factors are thought to influence teachers’ assessment literacy.

Abstract

Abstract

Economics subjects are still considered difficult by most, and this is a challenge for teachers to be able to teach economics well. Therefore, prospective teachers need to have self-efficacy in their ability to teach economics material. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of educational practices to improve teaching self-efficacy in 21 students majoring in Education in the VII Semester of the Faculty of Economics. This study uses an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The teaching self-efficacy variable was measured using the Teaching Self-Efficacy Scale, which was tested on 115 students in the seventh semester of the Faculty of Economics, with the result of Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient of 0.86. The results of this study indicate a significant increase in the average teaching self-efficacy score of 14.45%, with a significance value of 0.003 (p < 0.05). Follow-up analysis of aspects of teaching self-efficacy showed that the magnitude score increased by 21.73% (sig=0.003; p¡0.005), and generality increased by 22.37% (sig=0.002; p¡0.005), and strength increased by 25.58. % (sig=0.003; p¡0.005). Thus, it can be concluded that educational Practice can significantly improve teaching self-efficacy for students majoring in Education at the Faculty of Economics and Business.

Abstract

It is important to foster 21st-century skills in the context of modern education. However, integrating these skills into the curriculum remains challenging. This study addresses the gap by developing TPACK-based (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) video microlearning towards relevant curriculum in Indonesia. The objective of this research is to create effective video microlearning content that aligns with the TPACK framework. Utilizing Thiagarajan's 4D model—define, design, develop, and disseminate—the study employed a research and development approach. Data were gathered through expert evaluations of media and content, and feedback from teachers and students. The sample included 10th-grade Marketing students at SMKN 12 Jakarta. The findings demonstrated a 95% feasibility rate for the media and a 92% success rate for the content, indicating high effectiveness and suitability for instructional purposes. Further testing with teachers and students yielded positive responses of 94% and 95%, respectively. These results highlight the significance of TPACK-based video microlearning as a valuable instructional tool, capable of enhancing 21st-century skills in students. The novelty of this research lies in its application of the TPACK framework to video microlearning, addressing the urgent need for innovative educational strategies.

Abstract

The development of financial technology (fintech) has brought significant changes to people's transaction patterns, particularly among university students, with the increasing use of digital wallets. This phenomenon is influenced by various factors, including digital literacy, financial attitude, herd behavior, and these factors impact on financial well-being. Therefore, this study aims to construct a structural model of digital wallet usage and how it impacts the financial well-being of students. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method to examine the relationships between variables. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to students who actively use digital wallets. The results show that digital literacy has the largest total effect on financial well-being through two pathways: a direct influence and an indirect influence through the use of digital wallets. The total effect of digital literacy is high, making it the dominant predictor in the model. The research results show an R² value for the digital wallet usage variable of 0.508, which falls into the moderate category, while for the financial well-being variable it is 0.723, which falls into the high category. Digital literacy (LD) has established itself as the most fundamental determinant in the digital financial ecosystem. It serves not only as the primary driver of digital wallet (PDD) adoption by enhancing perceived usefulness and ease of use, consistent with the extended technology acceptance model, but also contributes directly and significantly to improving financial well-being (FWB) by facilitating access to financial information and products, aligning with the digital divide theory.
