Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for evaluation instruments because at SMKN 3 Pekanbaru does not hold school exams so that student assessments are taken from daily exercises at the end of learning. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality and learning outcomes of students using wordwall-based evaluation instruments. This type of development research uses the R&D (Reasearch and Development) model which has been modified into 8 stages, namely potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trials, product revision and trial use. The data collection techniques used in this study were validation sheets, student and teacher response sheets and student learning outcomes tests using wordwall-based evaluation instruments. The research subjects were E phase students of SMKN 3 Pekanbaru. The results of the wordwall-based evaluation instrument validation test were 88.29% with a very valid category. The results of the practicality test of wordwall-based evaluation instruments based on teacher and learner response sheets were 91.75% with a very practical category. The learning outcomes of students using wordwall-based evaluation instruments were 92.59% with a very good category.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika yang berupa Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik yang berbasis Project Based Learning pada materi lingkaran untuk SMP kelas VIII yang kevalidannya telah teruji. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan atau R&D engan menggunakan model pengembangannya adalah model ADDIE, yakni meliputi; 1) Analysis (Analisis), 2) Design (Desain), 3) Development (Pengembangan), 4) Implementation (Implementasi) dan 5) Evaluation (Evaluasi). Tetapi dikarenakan situasi pandemi covid-19 model pengembangan ADDIE yang dilakukan hanya tiga tahap saja yaitu ; 1) Analysis (Analisis), 2) Design (Desain), dan 3) Development (Pengembangan). Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument yang berupa lembar validasi LKPD. Sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah data validasi dari 2 orang dosen Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Islam Riau dan 1 orang guru matematika kelas VIII SMPN BINSUS DUMAI. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data validasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan LKPD dengan kategori sangat valid dengan rata-rata total 85,54%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh lah LKPD berbasis Project Based Learning pada materi lingkaran di kelas VIII yang teruji kevalidannya. Sehingga perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan dapat didiagnosa sebagai perangkat yang valid untuk digunakan di kelas.

Abstract

The numeracy skills of Phase D students in Indonesia remain relatively low, as evidenced by the 2018 PISA survey, which ranked Indonesia 72nd out of 79 countries. Transformational geometry is one of the topics that demands high numeracy, often posing challenges due to the need for spatial visualization and logical reasoning. While previous studies have shown the potential of Autograph in HOTS-based learning, research on the development of Autograph-assisted teaching materials explicitly designed to enhance numeracy remains limited. This study introduces a novel approach by integrating Autograph into numeracy-oriented materials for transformational geometry, aiming to provide a validated and practical resource for classroom use. The research employed an R&D design with the ADDIE model, involving 36 ninth-grade students and a mathematics teacher at UPT SMP Negeri 4 Siak Hulu. Data were collected using validation sheets, response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest numeracy tests, and analyzed through Aiken’s V, practicality percentage, N-gain, paired t-test, and Cohen’s d. The results indicated high validity (0.88), high practicality (84.6%), and strong effectiveness (N-gain = 0.78, Cohen’s d = 2.7), with significant improvement from pretest to posttest. The findings highlight the novelty of employing Autograph to foster numeracy development in middle school mathematics, offering new insights into technology-supported instructional design. However, the absence of a control group suggests the need for further studies using more rigorous experimental designs.

Abstract

Di situasi saat ini yaitu Covid-19 meyebabkan seluruh pembelajaran dilakukan secara online. Dalam proses pembelajaran daring banyak kendala yang dialami terutama terhadap siswa, yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat untuk mengikuti pembelajaran matematika secara optimal. Sehubung dengan hal tersebut, guru harus memiliki berbagai cara untuk membangkitkan motivasi siswa ketika mengikuti pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Salah satunya adalah menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yaitu Macromedia Flash 8. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap penggunaan macromedia flash 8 di masa pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitiannya yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, sampel penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas X SMKN Pertanian Terpadu Provinsi Riau yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data didapat melalui google form yang berisikan pernyataan meliputi 4 aspek penilaian macromedia flash 8 yakni perhatian, relevansi, percaya diri, dan kepuasan. Pada hasil penelitian ini menunjukan adanya dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan menggunakan macromedia flash 8 sebagai media pembelajaran dimasa pandemi dengan persentase rata-rata 71,5%. Dari penelitian ini diperoleh bahwasanya macromedia flash 8 bisa menjadi media pembelajaran matematika di masa pandemi, karena memiliki berbagai keunggulan yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika dikarenakan sulitnya peserta didik dalam memahami konsep pembelajaran matematika akibat minimnya sumber belajar yang digunakan dan didukung dengan faktor dari kurikulum 2013 yang mengharapkan peserta didik agar lebih aktif dan kreatif pada ranah kognitif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis pendekatan Open-ended pada materi segi empat yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D) yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Bangkinang Kota. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Bangkinang Kota pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon peserta didik. LKPD divalidasi oleh 3 orang validator yang terdiri dari 2 dosen matematika FKIP UIR dan 1 guru matematika SMP N 1 Bangkinang Kota. Angket respon peserta didik di isi oleh seluruh peserta didik dikelas VIII A yaitu sebanyak 32 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validasi terhadap LKPD diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,45 dengan kategori sangat valid dan hasil uji kepraktisan angket respon peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 3,34 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Open-ended pada materi segi empat telah teruji kevalidan dan kepraktisannya.

Abstract

The mathematics learning process requires students to develop strong problem-solving skills. However, at SMA Negeri 1 Kabun, these skills remain low due to teacher-centered learning and limited activities that foster independent thinking. This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical problem-solving skills of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Kabun. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population included all grade X students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Samples were selected using a purposive sampling technique, with 34 students from class Xa as the experimental group and 32 students from class Xc as the control group. Research instruments consisted of validated problem-solving test sheets and learning tools. Data were collected through both test and non-test techniques, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The findings show significant differences in the average mathematical problem-solving abilities between students in the experimental and control groups after receiving different treatments. Results of the Independent Sample T-Test indicate a significance value (sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is lower than α = 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Thus, the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. This suggests that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model has a positive effect on improving the mathematical problem-solving skills of grade X students at SMA Negeri 1 Kabun

Abstract

The process of learning mathematics includes an important aspect that students must master, namely the ability to understand mathematical concepts. The conceptual understanding ability of students at SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu is still relatively low. This problem arises because learning activities tend to be teacher-centered, and there are limited opportunities for students to engage in activities that enhance their mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effect of Wordwall-based learning media on the understanding of mathematical concepts among seventh-grade students of SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population consisted of all Grade VII students in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, consisting of one experimental class with 32 students and one control class with 32 students. The research instruments included a mathematical concept understanding test and validated learning tools. Data were collected using both test and non-test techniques and analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. These revealed a significant difference in the average scores of students’ conceptual understanding between the experimental and control classes after being given different treatments. Based on the results of the Independent Sample T-Test, the obtained significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000, which is less than α = 0.05. This means that H₀ is rejected and H₁ is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of Wordwall-based learning media significantly improves students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in Grade VII of SMPN 1 Pasir Penyu.
