Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning pada pokok bahasan Hukum Dasar Kimia di SMA Negeri 1 Suwawa. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk quasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu). Desain yang digunakan adalah Pretest Posttest Non-Equivalent Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X IPA dengan sampel penelitian adalah X IPA 1 dan X IPA 2. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Hukum Dasar Kimia penulis memberikan tes dalam bentuk pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 soal dan essay sebanyak 5 soal yang telah diuji validitasnya. Pengujian hipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji t. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh nilai thitung = 4.38 > ttabel = 1.67722 yang dimana H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan Discovery Learning pada materi Hukum Dasar Kimia terhadap hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to study the levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) contained in organic fertilizer made from a mixture of empty fruit bunch waste from oil palm and banana stems, as well as to determine the effects on the growth and development of tomato plants when applying the organic fertilizer made from the aforementioned mixture. The research involved analyzing the total nitrogen content using the Kjeldahl method, phosphorus (P) using UV-VIS, and potassium (K) using AAS, as well as conducting tomato planting experiments using a growing medium consisting of compost made from the mixture of empty fruit bunch waste from oil palm and banana stems. Based on the research results, it was found that the NPK content of the soil and compost mixture of empty fruit bunch waste from oil palm and banana stems met the SNI 19-7030-2004 standard for nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P). The growth and development of tomato plants without using the organic fertilizer mixture from the mixture of empty fruit bunch waste from oil palm and banana stems underwent some changes, but the changes occurred at a slower pace compared to using the organic fertilizer mixture from the aforementioned mixture.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan merupakan salah satu hal yang diidam-idamkan oleh masyarakat, terlebih masyarakat pesisir yang ada di Desa Tayadun dan Desa Bukamog Kecamata Bokat Kabupaten Buol yang notabene belum tercapai. Jagung merupakan salah satu tanaman yang banyak ditanam di Indonesia. Dari setiap panen jagung diperkirakan jagung (rendemen) yang dihasilkan sekitar 65%, sementara 35% dalam bentuk limbah berupa batang, daun, kulit, dan tongkol jagung. Dari pengamatan lapangan ditemukan bahwa hasil samping berupa kulit, batang, daun, dan tongkol jagung tidak termanfaatkan dan dibuang atau dibakar, sementara daun dan batang yang masih muda dijadikan bahan pakan ternak. Pemanfaatan limbah tongkol jagung menjadi briket dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik sampai dengan pelaksaan aplikasi pada masyarakat. Dengan berhasilnya kegiatan ini, diharapkan apa yang telah dirintis oleh mahasiswa KKN Tematik tahun 2022 ini bias belanjut terus hingga suatu hari nanti masyarakat desa Bukamog dan Tayadun bisa melakukan ekspor ke luarg daerah bahkan luar negeri, terlebih saat ini di desa Tayadun terdapat 2 orang peserta pelatihan yang sudah memiliki usaha pembuatan arang dari tempurung kelapa.

Abstract

The ability of students to understand and use concepts is the main key in scientifically explaining various chemical phenomena in nature. This ability develops relatively, often with the development of the learner level. This study aims to understand the level of understanding of the concept of salt hydrolysis of class XI high school students and chemistry students in the I, II, III and IV years and non-chemistry students with a total sample of 875 respondents. The instrument used in this study was a four-level multiple choice test. This diagnostic test combines the measurement of knowledge and reasoning with the level of self-confidence, as a reflection of the level of mastery of concepts. The data analysis technique used is quantitative, using SPSS 25 software, namely the non-parametric test (Kruskal Wallis test), comparing the significance value (Asmp. Sig) with a probability of 0.005. The results showed that the significance value of 0.00 was less than 0.05; That is, there is a significant difference in the level of understanding of the salt hydrolysis concept of students. The level of understanding of the concept of high school students is better than the first, second, third, and fourth year students in chemistry and non-chemistry students. These findings reinforce the story that although students have experienced learning experiences at a higher level, it does not guarantee the development of mastery of understanding the concept of hydrolysis

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pelajaran kimia di kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Telaga. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran guided inquiry berbasis proyek pada materi makromolekul untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Telaga dengan sampel berjumlah masing-masing 36 orang siswa pada kelas kontrol maupun eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan Nonequivalent Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design. Instrumen tes yang digunakan yaitu tes esai sebanyak 5 butir soal yang mewakili 5 indikator berpikir kritis. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain, uji Normalitas, uji Homogenitas, dan pengujian hipotesis (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen = 81,47 (sangat baik) dan untuk kelas kontrol = 67,95 (baik). Hasil analisis N-Gain (g = 0,77) menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry berbasis proyek memiliki kriteria sedang. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan uji-t,  menunjukkan thitungttabel (57,72 1,99). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Guided Inquiry berbasis proyek pada materi makromolekul berpendekatan SETS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Telaga.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the NPK nutrient content of a mixture of soil and straw compost. -The determination of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium levels was carried out using the Kjeldahl method, UV-Vis, and AAS instrument, respectively.The results of the analysis showed that the levels of NPK in the mixture of soil and straw compost, the levels of N 1.6-3.6%, P 0.39-44%, and Potassium 0.14-0.16%, the results obtained that levels of nitrogen, phosphorus met the minimum standard of SNI 19-7030-2004, the potassium content is only slightly or does not meet the standard of SNI/19/7030/2004. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that a mixture of soil and straw compost was suitable as a planting medium for sweet corn which had a significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, stem circumference, and number of leaves.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the environmental quality in Biyonga Sub Watershed based on chemical and physical water quality characteristics. The research was conducted for 3 months in 3 parts of Biyonga sub-watershed area in Gorontalo Regency. Water quality was measured directly in the field and in the laboratory. Sampling was carried out in the upstream, middle and downstream areas of the Biyonga sub-watershed. Parameters tested were temperature, pH, TSS, BOD, COD, DO, nitrate, total nitrogen and total coliform. The results of the analysis in the upstream part of the Biyonga sub-watershed in the village of Tapalulo (point 1) showed that the COD and BOD parameters did not meet the standard requirements. Furthermore, in the middle part of Biyonga village (point 2) and in the downstream part of Biyonga sub-watershed, the TSS, COD, BOD and DO parameters are above the quality standards or do not meet the water quality standards. The accumulation of agricultural activities, domestic activities and small industries producing liquid wastes are the main causes of the lower water quality in the downstream part of the Biyonga sub-watershed. Based on the results of chemical and physical water tests, the water sources in the middle and lower reaches of the Biyonga River cannot be used as freswater sources

Abstract

Ikan merupakan bahan pangan yang mengandung protein tinggi yang menyebabkan terjadinya pembusukan oleh mikroorganisme. Oleh sebab itu, proses pengawetan perlu dilakukan. Salah satu bahan yang biasa digunakan yaitu formalin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antara protein, TVB-N dan organoleptik serta untuk mengetahui kandungan formalin dan protein pada ikan. Analisis kualitatif formalin menggunakan pereaksi Schiff serta analisis protein menggunakan metode Biuret dengan instrumen Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil analisis 8 sampel ikan menunjukkan bahwa seluruhnya negatif mengandung formalin dan kadar protein dalam ikan sebesar 15,85-32,45%. Untuk uji kesegaran ikan menggunakan TVB-N. Hasil uji TVB-N pada ikan sebesar 0,81-7,18 mgN%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa semakin tinggi TVB ikan, protein semakin rendah dan kualitas ikan semakin rendah. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah TVB ikan, protein semakin tinggi dan kualitas ikan semakin baik.Kata Kunci: Formalin, protein, Spektrofotometer UV-Vis, TVB-N

Abstract

This research aims to determine the chemical characteristics of coconut shell liquid smoke and analyze the effectiveness of using liquid smoke in reducing Pb metal contamination in skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus Pelamis). Grade 2 liquid smoke from coconut shells is produced by the Pulubala IKM center through the stages of pyrolysis and distillation. This study employs a completely randomized design (CRD) with two replications. To determine the chemical characteristics of the liquid smoke, the analyzed methods include pH measurement, phenol content, total acidity, protein content, organoleptic value, and the chelating power of heavy metal Pb with variations in the concentration of liquid smoke test solutions AC (undiluted liquid smoke), AC2, AC4, AC6, and AC10 (liquid smoke with the addition of distilled water at 2%, 4%, 6%, and 10%). The results show that the best treatment is obtained from coconut shell liquid smoke with AC concentration (undiluted liquid smoke) having the best characteristics, namely a pH value of 4, phenol content of 1.6469%, total acidity of 14.94 mg/mL, protein content of 0.6083%, and a chelating power for heavy metal Pb of 97.32%. The results of the organoleptic test indicate that overall, the highest score was obtained with a neutral value at the concentration of AC2 (liquid smoke with the addition of 2% distilled water).

Abstract

Logam berat adalah unsur alam yang tidak dapat dihancurkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keberadaan dan kadar logam Pb dan Cd di Pantai Kurenai dan Pelabuhan Gorontalo. Sampel dianalisis menggunakan AAS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan kadar Pb di Pantai Kurenai: titik I = 0,0240 mg/L, titik II = 0,0843 mg/L, dan titik III = 0,1084 mg/L. Di Pelabuhan Gorontalo, kadar Pb: titik I = 0,1325 mg/L, titik II = 0,6144 mg/L, dan titik III = 0,2289 mg/L. Kadar Cd di Pantai Kurenai: titik I = 0,0076 mg/L, titik II = 0,0218 mg/L, dan titik III = 0,0189 mg/L. Di Pelabuhan Gorontalo, kadar Cd: titik I = 0,0047 mg/L, titik II = 0,0005 mg/L, dan titik III = 0,0100 mg/L. Menurut Peraturan Pemerintah No. 22 Tahun 2021, kadar Pb di Pantai Kurenai dan Pelabuhan Gorontalo telah melebihi standar, sementara kadar Cd di Pantai Kurenai telah melebihi standar, namun di Pelabuhan Gorontalo belum.
