Abstract

Utilization of fishery products by the fishery industry is processed into processed products besides functioning to extend shelf life as well as improving taste, making it easier for consumption (ready to serve), facilitating handling and packaging for marketing. This study aims to determine the percentage (%) of raw materials used to make canned fish as the expected main product. The study used the experimental treatment method on the research object, the type and size of fish raw materials to make canned fish as the main product, with 15 repetitions. Observation and direct measurement at the research location, by following all production processes from receiving raw materials to the main product, calculating the amount of canned fish products (kg). The results showed that the overall standard recovery (yield) of white meat from the amount of raw materials used, first the calculation of the recovery (yield) per tail was summed into one called the recovery mix standard. The research standard recovery mix rate determined by the company reached 38.07%. The average percentage of canned fish meat from the research results reached 35.81% of the fish raw materials used. The average percentage value or recovery mix standard has not been achieved, due to the different sizes and weights of fish used in processing.

Abstract

The research aims 1) To examine the spatial distribution of oceanographic parameters of temperature, salinity, chlorophyll and bathymetry and 2) To determine the types of catch by traditional fishing gear. The research was conducted in June - July 2023, in the coastal waters of Pangkep Regency. The research uses a survey method. The data collected includes temperature, chlorophyll salinity and bathimetery data, through fashionable satellite imagery and direct measurements in the field. Data were analyzed using a geographic information system and analysis of fish species using the Market Fishes of Indonesia guide, (2013). The distribution of oceanographic aspects includes temperatures in June - July respectively in the temperature range 29.35-29.74?C and temperature 26.42-30.03?C and the temperature range in August is 27.22-33.39?C ; chlorophyll in July 2021 ranged from 0.1086 2.657 mgm-3. and the results of the distribution of salinity measurements in June 2021 in the range 32.96 - 34.05 and in July 2021 in the range 33.32 - 33.94 . The recommended potential area for operating sero traditional fishing gear is the priority location for sero operation with a high suitability coastal water area of 887.47 Ha and a low suitability with an area of 7,326.49 Ha. Types of catches sero fishing gear, identified 26 species of fish consisting of small pelagic fish and demersal fish including reef fish that migrate to the beach during low tide.

Abstract

Coastal fishing ground (coastal fishing ground) has abundant resources, this is due to the fertile waters environment where the coral reefs, seagrass and mangrove ecosystems are still quite good. The purpose of the study was to determine the frequency distribution of the size of the dominant trap net fishing gear caught in the coastal waters of Sigeri District, Pangkep Regency. The object of this research is fish caught by trap net. The data collected consists of primary and secondary data. The equipment used is a fish measuring ruler, digital scales, office stationery, global position system. data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study, the frequency distribution of the size of the dominant trap net fishing gear caught in the coastal waters of Sigeri District, Pangkep Regency, which consisted of lompa fish (Trissina baelama), mullet (Mugil Sp), kurau (Polydactylus octonemus), titang (Scatophagus sp), rejung (Sillago sihama), cotton (Geres punctatus), gulamah (Johnius trachycephalus), and white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). Most of the fish caught are in the category of small fish and a small proportion are included in the size of adult fish, and all fish caught are economically important fish.

Abstract

            Ikan kakap merah (Lutjanus gibbus) adalah salah satu jenis ikan demersal dari famili Lutjanidae yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi di Indonesia dan salah satu komoditas ekspor dari sub sektor perikanan yang permintaannya terus meningkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang karakter biologis dan tingkat pemanfaatan ikan kakap merah (L. gibbus) di Kepulauan Spermonde Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan September 2022 – Desember 2022 di Wilayah Kepulauan Spermonde. Metode  penelitian berupa pengukuran panjang total (cm) dan berat (gr) ikan kakap merah sebanyak 443 ekor dari hasil tangkapan nelayan dan pedagang pengumpul yang berasal dari Kepulauan Spermonde yang didaratkan di PPI Paotere, Makassar.  Parameter yang diamati meliputi distribusi ukuran panjang, hubungan panjang bobot, laju pertumbuhan, laju mortalitas total, alami dan penangkapan dan laju eksploitasi yang dianalisis secara deskriptif dan dengan program ELEFAN. Hasil analisis panjang rata rata ikan kakap merah (L. gibbus)  berukuran antara 17,80 cm – 45,80 cm TL dengan proporsi  tertinggi pada ukuran tengah kelas panjang 25,8 cm sebesar 126 ekor, dan proporsi terendah ukuran tengah kelas panjang 45,80 cm TL sebesar 10 ekor.   Hubungan panjang bobot allometrik minor, kecepatan. pertumbuhan 0,43/thn, laju kematian penangkapan lebih besar dari laju kematian alami, laju eksploitasi sebesar 0,66 (over eksploitasi).

Abstract

Processing of fishery products as one of the activities to increase community income. Diversification of processed shrimp products can not only be done at the industrial level, but can also be done on a household scale. Based on the foregoing, it is necessary to conduct training on techniques for processing fishery products, especially shrimp processing in coastal communities. The objectives of the activity include: 1) Providing knowledge of vannamei shrimp processing techniques in the form of shrimp Ekado products, business management management, product product marketing techniques. 2) Eligibility to run an Ekado Shrimp business. The Partnership Program (PKM) activity was held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Indonesian Muslim Uversitas Assisted Village, namely Tamangapa Village, Ma'rang District, Pangkep Regency, at the homes of group members. The activity approach method is a participatory method where partners are directly involved in the implementation of activities from preparation to the implementation of these activities. The implementation of the approach method is in the form of counseling and training or demonstration. The output of the activity is in the form of a product with the specifications processed shrimp in the form of Ekado shrimp can be adopted properly. The shrimp ekado product processing business is worthy of being developed into a sustainable home industry business.

Abstract

Kabupaten Pangkep memiliki potensi melimpah, diantaranya rajungan. Sesuai permasalahan teridentifikasi maka PKM ini bertujuan melakukan budidaya rajungan sistem karamba jaring dasar. PKM dilaksanakan 2 tahapan utama, a) melakukan pelatihan kelompok nelayan mitra, dan b) melaksanakan pendampingan kelompok nelayan mitra. Setelah melaksanakan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM), beberapa hal menjadi temuan dalam observasi yakni pengetahuan dan keterampilan masih rendah, pekerjaan didominasi sebagai nelayan penangkapan rajungan dan sangat bergantung pada sumberdaya perikanan dan kelautan, dan tingkat literasi yang rendah. Dengan demikian kami dari Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan Universitas Muslim Indonesia khususnya prodi Pemanfaatan Sumberdaya Perikanan melaksanakan rangkaian PKM berupa pelatihan budidaya rajungan sistem karamba jaring dasar dan peningkatan kewirausahaan dan keuangan. Diharapkan yang dilakukan, menjadi bagian dari pemecahan masalah ekonomi dan sosialkemasayarakatan di wilayah pesisir. Potensi dari luaran PKM, secara praktis, bertambahnya kelompok masyarakat sebagai pelaku usaha budidaya karamba jaring dasar yang baik dalam meningkatkan tarap hidup dan kesejahteraan.

Abstract

Makassar City, located on the southwest coast of Sulawesi Island, exhibits dominant land and sea breeze circulation, with sea breezes being stronger during the day and land breezes at night. The use of weather radar is effective in identifying these wind characteristics, which are crucial for fishing activities and renewable energy. This study investigates the characteristics of land and sea breezes and their relation to wave heights in the Spermonde Waters of Makassar during the east and west seasons, providing important information for maritime activities in Makassar City. The research area is located between 4°59’20”S 119°27’46”E and 5°11’26”S 119°22’54”E. This study uses weather observation data, including weather radar data, weather observations, and wave heights from January 2020 to December 2020, divided into three seasonal periods (rainy season, transition period, and dry season). The weather observation data were obtained from Hasanuddin Makassar Meteorological Station and Paotere Makassar Maritime Meteorological Station. Additionally, questionnaires were distributed to fishermen at three locations: PPI Paotere Makassar, PPI Untia Makassar, and Kuri Caddi-Maros Beach Fishermen Village, with 15 respondents at each location. The study shows that land breezes in Makassar are dominant from 18:05 to 19:00 LT with a duration of 9.1 to 11 hours, while sea breezes dominate from 08:00 to 09:00 LT with a duration of 5.1 to 7 hours. This phenomenon is most frequently detected during the dry season (JJA). Land and sea breezes can intrude up to 20.1 to 30 km from the coastline. There is a highly significant positive correlation between wind and wave height in January and August, indicating a strong influence of winds on waves in the Spermonde Waters of Makassar. About 80% of fishermen utilize these wind conditions for fishing activities. Overall, the land and sea breeze patterns significantly impact wave heights and the activities of fishermen in the coastal areas of Makassar.

Abstract

Information about potency and utilization of Skipjack Tuna in Bone Bay region will support regionalmanagement of fisheries resources in Indonesiabased on characteristic and carrying capacity of marine waters,espcially in Bay region. The aims of this study were to estimate potency of Skipjack Tuna and the level of theirutilization in Bone Bay region and to estimate the primary productivity produced by euphotic zone (Pp).Analysis methods used in this study were catch per unit effort(CPUE) and maximum sustainable yield (MSY),vertically generalized production model (VGPM) which required data of photosynthetically active radiationanddepth of euphotic zone, fish production model by considering energy transfer efficiency among trophic level.This study was conducted for eight months in Luwu Regency.The result of the study showed that the utilization ofthe Skipjack Tunawas bigger than the MSY,.The Ppeu was in the range of 483.3143to 1306.027 mgC m. Abstract

Bone Strait and Flores sea are Indonesian waters which has a high fish resources, especially Katsuwonuspelagicus. Those waters are also affected by climate change. Aims of study were to examined distribution map ofKatsuwonus fish based on environemental condition at Bone Strait and Flores Sea. Study was conducted for fourmonths (May – August 2015). Environment parameters (Sea level temperature, Chl a, salnity and pH) wasmeasured in situ at fishing area and fish weight data was measured through measuring fish that caught from poleand line fishermen. Results showed that Katsuwonus from Bone Strait (1 – 2 kg and 3.5 – 5 kg) tended to distributeat temperature, Chl a, salinity and pH account for 29.3oC – 30oC, 0.8 – 1.5 mg/m3 and 28 – 30 o/oo, 7.95 – 8.37respectively. meanwhile fish with 2 – 2.5 kg was distributed at 30oC – 30.3oC, 0.6 – 0.7 mg/m3, 28 – 29 o/oo and8.32 – 8.5 for temperature, Chl a, salinity and pH, respectively. At Flores Sea, Katsuwonus with 1.2 – 1.5 kgtended to distribut at 29.5oC – 30oC, 0.12 – 0.16 mg/m3, 28 – 30 o/oo and 7.95 – 8.57 for temperature, chl a, salinityand pH, respectively. Fish with weight 1.5 – 2.2 kg was spread at 28.5oC – 29oC for temperature, 0.1 – 0.13mg/m3 chl a, 28 – 30o/oo for salinity and 8.38 – 8.5 for pH.Keywords : Distribution map, Katsuwonus fish, environmental factor, Bone Strait and Flores Sea.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kajian ini untuk memahami seberapa baik Komik Pop-Up Book berfungsi sebagai alat bantu dalam pengajaran matematika di tingkat dasar, terutama mengenai topik pecahan. Dalam penelitian ini, tiga pakar (validator materi, validator media, dan validator bahasa) berperan selaku validator, yangmana mengadopsi pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif. Setiap ahli menggunakan instrumen lembar penilaian berbasis skala Likert untuk menilai aspek kelayakan isi, desain visual, kejelasan bahasa, dan kesesuaian media dengan proses pembelajaran. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media memiliki tingkat validitas yang sangat tinggi: 95,7% dari ahli materi, 86,7% dari ahli media, dan 91% dari ahli bahasa. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa media Komik Pop-Up Book tergolong "valid" dan layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas. Siswa dinilai lebih tertarik dan memahami konsep matematika abstrak jika elemen naratif digabungkan dengan visualisasi 3D interaktif. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media ini adalah alternatif yang menarik untuk media pembelajaran dan merekomendasikan uji efektivitas lebih lanjut untuk mengetahui bagaimana media ini mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa
