Abstract

The conversion of rubber plantation to oil palm cultivation in Riau province is raising concerns regarding the decline of rubber commodity. Historically, the province has been a key producer of such commodity in Indonesia. The community-owned rubber plantation, on the other hand, is diminishing, leading to a troubling cycle that makes it difficult to establish environmentally sustainable programs. Therefore, this research aimed to assess sustainability of smallholder rubber plantation in Riau. It was observed that the comprehensive RapRubber analysis yielded an index of 39.76, classifying status as less sustainable. The results showed that the management of rubber plantation was under pressure. In a more detailed analysis, the ecological dimension had an index of 43.22, placing it in the less sustainable category. The economic dimension scored 50.80, signifying a relatively sustainable status. In contrast, the social dimension reduced with an index of 25.25, classifying it as less sustainable. The attributes that contributed to the unsustainability of the ecological dimension were fire frequency and by-products, while the factors contributing to less sustainability of the social dimension included the initial land-clearing methods, preservation practices, and local wisdom. In the economic dimension, land status and pricing were essential determinants of sustainability.

Abstract

The identification of the thickness and coal seam depth using the Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method in Petai Village, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province has been investigated. This study aims to determine the subsurface structure and its depth. The method used in this study is the one-dimensional Schlumberger configuration geoelectric method by processing data using Progress software. The data obtained are (I) and potential difference (V). Based on the results of data processing, the information on rock layers at the research site is obtained. The resistivity value of rocks on track 1 ranger from 2,272.23 – 1,317.96 Ohm-m with a depth of up to 19.05 meters. The lithology layers identified the resistivity values obtained for track 1 are sand and dry gravel. The resistivity value of the second trajectory range 1,188.91 – 1,491.29 Ohm-m with a depth of up to 17.00 meters. The lithology layers identified the resistivity values obtained for track 2 are top soil, coal and sandstone. The resistivity value of the third trajectory range 4,986.17 – 347.81 Ohm-m with a depth of up to 11.43 meters.  The lithology layers identified the resistivity values obtained for track 3 include sandstone, coal and sand. The result of the interpretation of track 1, track 2 and track 3 obtained the subsurface layers and its depth at the research location.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption in the context of digitalization in Bandar Lampung. The digitalization era brings significant changes in the way government and society interact, which has the potential to create opportunities for corrupt practices. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data analysis from interviews, documentation studies, and observations. The results of the study indicate that although there have been preventive measures through the application of information technology, there are still loopholes that can be exploited by perpetrators of corruption. The main causal factors include the lack of legal awareness among the community, as well as minimal supervision and transparency in the use of the budget. This study recommends the need for increased training for law enforcement officers, as well as the implementation of a stricter and more transparent supervision system in the use of digital technology. Thus, this study is expected to provide valuable insights for policy makers in formulating more effective strategies to prevent and eradicate corruption, as well as increasing legal awareness among the Bandar Lampung community in this digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the urgency of instilling character values in education in the modern era, describe the strategies or approaches used in the educational environment, and identify challenges and solutions in their implementation. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with the research subjects consisting of teachers, students, and principals at primary and secondary education levels. The results show that the cultivation of character values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, tolerance, and cooperation is very important to form learners who not only excel in academics, but also have moral integrity and emotional maturity. Strategies used in character cultivation include integration of character values in learning, habituation of positive attitudes, teacher role models, and extracurricular activities. The main challenges in implementing character education are the negative influence of digital media, the weak role of the family, and the lack of consistency in character development. Solutions include improving educators' competence in character education, strengthening cooperation between schools and parents, and creating a school environment that supports a positive culture. Thus, character education should be an integral part of the education system, through synergistic cooperation between schools, families and communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the aquifer parameter values including storativity, transmisivity, and hydraulic conductivity in Simpang Tiga Village, Pekanbaru City. This research is motivated by the community's increasing need for water due to higher population growth, and the Simpang Tiga Village which is close to the city center. Pumping test results using the Cooper Jacobs method showed an aquifer transmisivity value of 247.21 m2/day in the high category and a storativity value of 0.0845. The results of the geoelectrical test with the Schlumberger configuration obtained that the aquifer layer is in the fourth layer with a thickness of 11 m. The hydraulic conductivity obtained is 22.473 m/day and is included in the fast category.

Abstract

Magnetic susceptibility, magnetic properties and morphological properties of natural sand from the Rokan river based on variations in milling ball size. Natural sand samples were put into the iron sand separator for separation between magnetic and non-magnetic particles which were then carried out in a ball milling process for 80 hours using iron balls with a diameter of 1, 2, and 3 cm. The results of the ball milling were then separated using NdFeB magnets, these products are called BM I, BM II, and BM III products. The susceptibility values generated in this study increased with increasing milling ball sizes, for milling ball sizes of 1, 2, and 3 cm the magnetic susceptibility values were 12906.293 × 10-5, 13390.387× 10-5, and 14816.736 × 10-5. The results of the VSM test showed that the saturation magnetization obtained by the BM I, BM II, and BM III products was 2.89, 2.28, and 4.71 emu/g, the remanent magnetization values obtained by 0.45, 0.35, and 0.27 emu/g and the coercivity obtained was 249.07, 263.89, and 275.85 Oe. The results of the SEM-EDX identification showed that Fe increased from 16.24% to 22.68%, while in non-magnetic elements Si decreased from 24.49% to 18.76% with an average particle size getting smaller with increasing size milling ball.

Abstract

Dalam rangka upaya penyelamatan lingkungan di Desa Sekat Baru, Kecamatan Bantan, Kabupaten Bengkalis, kegiatan pembinaan dan pengelolaan lingkungan difokuskan pada penguatan kapasitas pemerintah desa dan masyarakat, khususnya mereka yang tergabung dalam kelompok peduli kebakaran. Program ini bertujuan untuk membekali mereka dengan pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan untuk mengelola dan menjaga lingkungan sekitar secara lebih efektif, serta memitigasi dampak dari kebakaran hutan dan lahan yang sering terjadi di wilayah tersebut. Kegiatan pembinaan ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan metodologi yang mengutamakan keterlibatan aktif peserta. Salah satu metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, yang menjadi sarana untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan dasar terkait pengelolaan lingkungan yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Air tanah merupakan salah satu bagian penyusun dalam aliran air di bumi yang disebut dengan siklus hidrologi, dimana air sering digunakan dalam keberlangsungan hidup semua makhluk hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur lapisan litologi bawah permukaan tanah dan menganalisis kualitas air tanah dengan menggunakan parameter ph, TDS, Konduktivitas dan Kekeruhan. Hasil pengolahan data geolistrik dilakukan menggunakan Software IP2WIN dimana panjang lintasan masing-masing adalah 100 m. Berdasarkan nilai resistivitas Struktur litologi yang terdapat pada lintasan 1 adalah batu tulis, pasir, magnesit, alluvium, kerikil, pirit, lempung, kwarsan, granit, basal, kerikil kering sedangkan pada lintasan 2 struktur litologi yang terdapat adalah kwarsa, granit, basal, gamping, batu pasir, batu tulis, pasir, magnesit, kerikil kering, alluvium, kerikil. Model resistivitas semu lintasan 1 dan lintasan 2 diperoleh kedalaman sebesar 42.2 m dengan nilai resistivitas 3162 Ωm maka jenis tanah atau batuan tersebut berjenis batuan dasar tak lapuk. Sumber air berasal dari air hujan dengan tipe daerah sangat kering dan tipe batuan adalah beku dan metaforis. Pengujian kualitas air tanah pada sumur warga diperoleh nilai pH berkisar antara (4.11-6.96), nilai TDS berkisar antara (26-79 mg/L), nilai Konduktivitas berkisar antara (37-92μs/cm), nilai kekeruhan berkisar antara (0.37 – 2.58 NTU). Kualitas air di Gang Bangau Jaya secara umum untuk parameter TDS, Konduktivitas dan Kekeruhan merupakan standar baku mutu dan layak untuk digunakan dan dikonsumsi sehari-hari sedangkan untuk parameter pH tidak layak untuk dikonsumi untuk sehari-hari.

Abstract

Adanya pasar di sekitar kawasan pemukiman masyarakat Kelurahan Tuah Karya mengakibatkan air permukaan bawah tanah menjadi tercemar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa kedalaman air tanah dan kualitas air bawah tanah. Pengukuran menggunakan metode geolistrik konfigurasi Schlumberger pada 2 lintasan dengan panjang masing-masing 100 meter. Data yang diperoleh pada proses akusisi digunakan untuk menghitung nilai resistivitas semu pada titik pengukuran dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Proses dilanjutkan dengan inversi menggunakan IPI2win sehingga didapatkan nilai resistivitas dan ketebalan lapisan pada setiap titik pengukuran. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data, lintasan pertama mendapatkan rentang nilai resistivitas berkisar 534,6 Ωm ­– 17.035 Ωm dan lintasan kedua berkisar 199 Ωm – 5254 Ωm. Sampel air bawah tanah diuji dengan parameter seperti pH, TDS, Konduktivitas, dan Kekeruhan. Air bawah tanah belum layak dikonsumsi dari hasil uji kualitas air dengan parameter-parameter yang telah disebutka sebelumnya jika merujuk pada Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia dikarenakan nilai konduktivitas yang melebihi standar baku mutu dan pH yang didapat pada semua sampel air bawah tanah bernilai <6,5 atau bersifat asam. Sementara untuk parameter TDS dan Kekeruhan memiliki nilai sesuai dengan standar baku mutu.

Abstract

Inovasi teknologi pengering berbasis energi limbah biomassa telah berkembang untuk meningkatkan pengolahan aneka kerupuk di Kecamatan Binawidya, Kota Pekanbaru. Dengan penerapan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) ramah lingkungan, pelatihan kewirausahaan IPTEKS bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produk kerupuk. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra mencakup kurangnya pengetahuan teknologi modern, manajemen usaha yang lemah, dan persaingan pasar yang ketat. Solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi penerapan teknologi modern dalam produksi dan pelatihan manajemen usaha. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari identifikasi kebutuhan, pengadaan alat, dan pendampingan pasca-pelatihan. Evaluasi dilakukan secara formatif dan sumatif untuk menilai dampak program. Alat inovasi yang dirancang untuk pengolahan kerupuk mencakup komponen penyimpanan energi, cerobong, dan rak pengolahan yang mengoptimalkan proses produksi. Kegiatan pemberdayaan pelaku Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) dalam industri kerupuk diharapkan dapat meningkatkan daya saing produk di pasar. Melalui program pelatihan dan pendampingan, sebanyak 5  peserta dari anggota UKM telah dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini. Hasil dari pelaksanaan program menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata produksi kerupuk meningkat dari 100 kilogram per bulan menjadi 150 kilogram per bulan, atau meningkat sebesar 50%.
