Abstract

Sekolah-ku’ merupakan suatu program yang bertujuan memberikan kesempatan anak-anak penyandang kanker untuk belajar bagi yang ingin mengikuti pelajaran sekolahnya sehingga bila mereka telah menyelesaikan pengobatan/ perawatan penyakit kanker dapat segera mengikuti pelajaran kembali. Tujuan dari intervensi ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru ‘Sekolah-ku’ dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip theraplay dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan interaksi dengan anak didik penderita kanker. Untuk mengetahui efek dari pelatihan, akan dilakukan pengetahuan prinsip dan aplikasi Theraplay sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Evaluasi dari efek pelatihan dilakukan dengan membandingkan pengetahuan prinsip dan aplikasi Theraplay sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam pengetahuan mengenai theraplay (Z=-3.236, p<0.05) pada peserta pelatihan sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan pelatihan. Dari hasil follow up tampak bahwa perilaku yang mengindikasikan dimensi-dimensi dalam theraplay telah muncul sebesar 52,78% hingga 86,11%. Hasil ini menandakan bahwa program ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru ‘Sekolah-ku’ dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip theraplay dalam kegiatan pembelajaran dan interaksi dengan anak didik penderita kanker.

Abstract

Topik well-being pada remaja Indonesia merupakan salah satu isu penting yang harus diperhatikan Indonesia, khususnya kesejahteraan di sekolah. Untuk dapat mencapai kondisi wellbeing, siswa membutuhkan dukungan sosial dari lingkungannya. Pada remaja, guru menjadi agen yang sangat potensial dalam memberikan dukungan. Namun demikian, dengan karakteristik unik yang dimiliki remaja, tidak semua guru memiliki wawasan yang memadai untuk dapat memberikan dukungan yang efektif bagi remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang pemberian dukungan efektif untuk remaja. Kegiatan ini berbentuk psikoedukasi untuk guru-guru sekolah yang menjadi mitra Fakultas Psikologi Universitas YARSI, yaitu SMP Al-Khairiyah 2 Jakarta Utara. Berdasarkan Psikoedukasi yang dilakukan pada tanggal 20 Januari 2022, diketahui terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan guru dalam memberikan dukungan efektif pada remaja yang terlihat dari perbedaan skor pre dan post test (t=-4.328, p<.01). Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif kepada guru pada aspek kognitif. Untuk dapat memberikan dampak yang lebih optimal, diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan terkait keterampilan spesifik yang diperlukan guru untuk memberikan dukungan pada siswa.

Abstract

Semakin banyak jumlah anak-anak yang mengalami masalah sosial perlu menjadi perhatian bukan hanya keluarga anak yang mengalami masalah tersebut namun juga masyarakat dan sistem sosial yang ada di lingkungan anak-anak tersebut tumbuh dan berkembang. Pelatihan ini merupakan salah satu wujud kepedulian yang ditujukan untuk para ibu dengan anak usia balita dalam pengasuhannya. Masa lima tahun pertama merupakan masa pengasuhan yang penting bagi tumbuh kembang anak secara fisik, kompetensi intelektual, maupun kecakapan dalam perilaku interpersonal dan tatanan sosial masyarakat. Pengasuhan yang baik adalah bagaimana orang tua terlibat dan merespon kebutuhan anak. Hal ini dapat dicapai dengan melakukan mindful parenting yang mencakup bagaimana orang tua mendengarkan dengan penuh perhatian, menerima keadaan diri dan anak tanpa penghakiman, menyadari keadaan emosi diri dan anak, regulasi diri dan berwelas kasih dalam proses pengasuhan. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan ini diberikan dengan tujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu yang memiliki balita dalam melakukan pengasuhan secara mindful parenting. Peserta adalah para ibu yang mengikuti kelas balita di Puskesmas Kecamatan Cempaka Putih Jakarta Pusat. Berdasarkan informasi yang didapat, ada kebutuhan dari peserta yang memiliki bayi usia 1-2 tahun mengenai bagaimana cara menghadapi anak dengan permasalahan seperti tantrum, susah makan, dan sebagainya. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan model ceramah, diskusi, dan latihan terkait materi mindful parenting. Sebanyak 27 peserta hadir dengan membawa anak-anak mereka. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai mindful parenting dan kemapuan melakukan teknik mindful parenting. Abstract

This study investigated the effectiveness of a Behavioral Skills Training program that aimed to improve the personal safety skills of a Down syndrome adolescent with mild intellectual disability. Personal safety was defined as an ability to recognize touch appropriateness, including four self- protective skills; resisting, removing, telling others, and reporting any inappropriate touch experienced. This single-subject design was administered over three days. The results demonstrated that the program was effective at improving the subject’s personal safety skills due to his achieving 97% of the maximum score. The subject was able to master the skills of recognizing, resisting, removing and telling others with a 100% score, while his reporting skill score was 83%. A repetition of this program has been recommended with a specific focus on developing reporting skills. To improve the program’s effectiveness further, in-situ training, training for test administrators, and the provision of reinforcements has been suggested.

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak triggered a sudden transformation in all aspects of life. Inevitably, educational environments were also affected. Previous studies found a sharp drop in student satisfaction and a simultaneous corresponding increase in academic stress when online learning was instituted due to the pandemic. Conversely, academic resilience is considered psychological capital; it enables students to overcome stress and stimulates satisfaction. The interactions of these three variables must thus be collectively examined. This study used the convenience sampling technique to investigate the moderating role of academic resilience vis-à-vis academic stress and student satisfaction with online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected via an online questionnaire from a sample of 337 Indonesian undergraduate students aged 18‒32 years recruited for this study. The questionnaire encompassed three measurement instruments: Stressor Scale for College Students (α =.85), Academic Resilience Scale-Indonesian version (α =.89), and Student Satisfaction with Online Learning (α =.90). Linear regression analysis revealed that academic stress exerted a significant negative effect on satisfaction with online learning. Academic resilience was a significant moderator, dampening the effects of academic stress on satisfaction with online learning. The theoretical and practical implications of the research results are also discussed.

Abstract

The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) is a scale to measure a person's level of mindfulness. FFMQ has been used extensively in other countries. In multi-construct research, a scale with fewer items is needed but with a qualified psychometric value. The purpose of this study was to obtain a short version of the Indonesian FFMQ which has good psychometric properties. The research was carried out in three stages, namely the adaptation stage, the long form test stage and then the short form test. The sample of this study is Indonesian people who are over 15 years old. The results show that the short form has shown good results. This indicates that the short form version of FFMQ Indonesia has good psychometric properties.

Abstract

To prevent the transmission of COVID-19, the learning process that used to be face-to-face meetings has turned into online learning. In the online learning context, students' satisfaction is one of the crucial aspects. However, limited research has looked at the factors contributing to students' satisfaction in developing countries, including Indonesia. This study investigated the determinants of online learning satisfaction among undergraduate students in Indonesia during the pandemic COVID-19. A total of 267 students aged 17-28 years old (M=20.07, SD=1.40) were participated in this study through accidental sampling technique. This study applied a quantitative approach with six instruments: online learning satisfaction, online learning readiness, academic stress, learner-content interaction, learner-learner interaction, and learner-instructor interaction. Multiple regression analysis showed that only online learning readiness and learner-content interaction were contributed significantly to online learning satisfaction (R2 = .36, F (2,262) = 36.80, p <.001). Furthermore, learner-content interaction had a more considerable contribution (b=1.41, p<.001) to online learning satisfaction than online learning readiness (b=.15, p=.03). The theoretical and practical implications of this study are discussed.

Abstract

The importance of Islamic educational values lies in efforts to produce Muslim individuals who are responsible, ethical and able to make positive contributions to society. The book Washoya al-aba'lil abna' is a book that has been taught in many Islamic boarding schools for decades. This book was created because many students began to show signs of moral decline, in order to protect them from the rampant attempts to destroy morals. This research was conducted based on a literature review or Literature Survey. Natural research is library research. collect and analyze pure data from documentary literature such as journal articles or books and are still under research. The values of moral education in the book Washoya Al-Aba'' Lil Abna'' not only focus on tendencies in learning and teaching but also describe how a child should be devoted to Allah and His Messenger as well as good morals in everyday life to yourself and others.

Abstract

Mindful parenting intervention programs and characteristics can support positive parenting conditions and have an impact on children's psychosocial development. However, the measurement of mindful parenting has not been widely developed, although one example is the Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ) scale, which has good psychological properties and has been validated in several countries. This study aims to obtain evidence of the validity of the interpretation of the Indonesian version of the MIPQ scale (MIPQ-Ind) amongst a population of parents with children aged 2 -12. The participants were 822 parents (268 fathers and 554 mothers) who live in Jakarta, Indonesia. The results, based on the use of the split sample technique and EFA and CFA tests, show that the MIPQ-Ind has two valid factors, as indicated by the index 2/df= 2.8, CFI = 0.9, GFI = 0.96, RMSEA = 0.06 and RMSR = 0.04. The internal structure validity is 0.913 for the ‘being in the moment with child’ (BMC) factor and 0.906 for the mindful discipline (MD) factor. The study shows that the MIPQ-Ind was able to measure mindful parenting in the population of parents with children aged 2-12 in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this mentoring activity is to increase the understanding, skills and capacity of fish and poultry farmers in Mojokerto Regency in developing a maggot cultivation system by utilizing organic waste from the fruit market. This mentoring activity uses a participatory approach with the participatory rural appraisal method, namely by placing the community as the subject and the service team as insiders who are active in implementing the activities carried out. Based on the evaluation of the results of implementing community service assistance activities related to Assistance in the Use of Fruit Market Organic Waste for Maggot Cultivation for the Fish and Poultry Farmer Community in Mojokerto Regency, this assistance activity was successful in providing participants with an in-depth understanding of the use of organic waste for maggot cultivation. The practical implementation of the training material shows that participants are able to apply the concepts they have learned in their respective environments.
