Abstract

Price fluctuations are the rise and fall of prices, while the marketing channel is the track of the distribution of goods from producers to final consumers. The purpose of this study was to determine the price fluctuations and marketing channels of shallots to shallot traders in the city of Bengkulu. The research method used to determine the price fluctuations of shallots is descriptive method to explain the development of shallot prices presented in the graph. To analyze the marketing channels of shallots, it is described descriptively with a tracing method from wholesaler level to retailer level. The samples of this study were wholesalers and retailers of shallots in the Panorama market and the Sunday market of Bengkulu City with a total sample of 30 traders. The highest price fluctuation in July 2020 reached Rp. 54,500/kg while the lowest price in October 2019 was Rp. 16,900/kg. The shallot marketing channel in Bengkulu City has two channels; the first, wholesalers to consumer scatter traders. Second, wholesalers to wholesalers to retailers to consumers. With a marketing margin of rp. 11,807/kg (48.65%) for retailers and rp. 4.750/kg (20%) for wholesalers. The dominant market share is Toko Ipung with a percentage of 60.89%. With farmer share received by producers 65.69%.

Abstract

CAPACITY BUILDING AND FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT OF THE KERUPUK BALOK INDUSTRY THROUGH A COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM IN BUKIT PENINJAUAN II VILLAGE, SUKARAJA DISTRICT, SELUMA DISTRICT, BENGKULU. Bukit Peninjau II Village, Sukaraja Subdistrict, Seluma Regency, has very good potential for the development of small industries, especially home industries in the food sector. One of the small industries in Bukit Peninjauan II Village is the block cracker processing industry which was started in 1995 and currently has 8 business units, including the Usaha Maju and the Raos Echo Community. The team together with partners agreed on several issues faced by partners, including the lack of knowledge (soft skills) and skills mastered by partners regarding product diversification technology, packaging techniques, production equipment and knowledge about financial management. The aim of the Community Partnership Program is to improve partners' skills in the field of product diversification, improvement of packaging and labeling techniques, application of drying system mechanization technology, and increasing partner knowledge in the field of financial management of small industries. The results of the activity show that the product of processed cracker diversification has been formed in the Usaha Maju and the Raos Echo Community, with 3 variants namely original, spinach and carrots crackers. Furthermore, improvements have also been made to the quality of packaging and labeling, through training and providing assistance with labeling equipment. To overcome the problem of drying which has so far been using sunlight, the team provided cabinet drying assistance to the two partners.

Abstract

The performance of field agricultural extension should be directly related to the production of lowland rice farmers. This study aims to determine the performance and role of agricultural extension on the production of rice farming in Air Latak Village, Seluma Barat District, Seluma Regency. The research method used was to determine the performance of field agricultural extension with qualitative descriptive methods. Samples were taken, namely all field agricultural extension agents at the Talang Dantuk Agricultural Extension Center, Seluma Regency. To analyze the relationship between the role of agricultural extension agents using qualitative and quantitative methods. The sampling method used was random, with 30 respondents. The performance of field agricultural extension at the Talang Dantuk Agricultural Extension Center in Seluma Regency was categorized as good with an average of 79.58 and in the research area it was categorized as good with a work value of 78.75. Abstract

One of the effort to tackle the problem of poverty and food insecurity, government agency food security through agriculture department, in 2006 has eilcis village self-food program. Village self-food program success depends on the participation of food and public perception as well as the approach taken by the government to the community in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Has conducted research with the aim to analysis of the level member of affinity groups participation and perception for village self-food in Padang Serai village Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City. Research method using descriptive analysis is presented data or information in order to obtain a complete and deiled results. This information will be illustrated by some of the questions with three alternative answer. The answer given by level where: to answer (agree = S, Sometimes = KD, and does not agree = TS). Alternative answer will be rated based on the level (score) S = 3, KD =2, and TS = 1. Based on the results of the research village sel-food program in Padang Serai village Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City average of 28,13 which means that the level of participation of members of affinity included in the medium category. Most respondents participation is a class between 23,4-32,7 namely the medium category with a number of 21 people or 65,63. Whereas the respondent participation of at least between 14-23,3 is the low category. Totaling 5 respondents or 15,63%. Of data on the perception of respondents could be on average 33,06.This condition indicator that the member of afiniti group has a high or good perception of the village self-food program. The respondents perception that most of the classes between 32,7-42 is with his category with a number of 18 people or 56,25%. Whereas at least the perception of respondents between 14-23,4 is the low category, totaling 6 respondents or 18,75%.

Abstract

The Use of Organic Waste in Bokashi Fertilizer Production at Farmers' Group Association of Rinjani in Singaran Pati District, Bengkulu City The continuous use of inorganic fertilizers by farmers results in disturbed soil fertility and nutrient deficiencies. So far, farmers' group association of Rinjani has also used inorganic fertilizers, which are quite expensive. Therefore, the purpose of this community service was to educate farmers on the farmers' group association of Rinjani on how to utilize organic waste from the surrounding environment to be processed into bokashi fertilizer. The ingredients used were leftover vegetables, fruits and dried leave. The Effective Microorganism 4 (EM4) was used as decomposer to speed up the composting process. The process of making bokashi fertilizer from vegetable and fruit waste was running smoothly. The bokashi obtained was very good. This was indicated by the characteristic of blackish brown color, crumb texture and has an odor like the smell of earth in general.

Abstract

Salah satu program keahlian di SMK Kelautan dan Perikanan, Pondok Kubang, Bengkulu yaitu program keahlian teknologi pengolahan hasil perikanan. Siswa siswi SMK Kelautan dan Perikanan, Pondok Kubang, Bengkulu dipersiapkan menjadi tenaga yang terampil dalam pengolahan hasil perikanan. Untuk mendukung visi SMK tersebut dalam membekali siswa-siswinya dalam hal pengolahan hasil perikanan, maka dilakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan keamanan pangan dan pengolahan produk hasil perikanan. Tujuan dari sosialisasi dan pelatihan ini antara lain dapat memberikan tambahan keterampilan baru mengenai keamanan produk hasil pertanian, tata cara pengolahan nugget ikan lele, pengemasan dan  strategi pemasarannya. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode seminar, tanya jawab, dan aplikasi pelatihan pembuatan produk. Hasil kegiatan ini meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa-siswi SMK Kelautan dan Perikanan mengenai keamanan produk hasil perikanan, pengolahan nugget ikan lele yang baik, pengemasan  produk  yang menarik dan strategi pemasaran yang tepat.

Abstract

Sebagian besar petani padi di Desa Maras Kecamatan Air Nipis Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan memutuskan untuk menyimpan hasil panen padinya. Petani dalam menyimpan hasil panen, tentunya mempunyai pilihan dalam mengambil keputusan menyimpan atau menjual. Keputusan petani dipengaruhi oleh sejumlah faktor tertentu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jumlah padi yang disimpan sampai musim panen berikutnya dan menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani menyimpan hasil panen padi di Desa Maras Kecamatan Air Nipis Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jumlah padi yang disimpan sampai musim panen berikutnya yaitu sebesar 2.125 Kg dari total produksi yaitu sebesar 2.782 Kg atau sebesar 77%. Dari hasil perhitungan uji statistik maka dapat dilihat bahwa variabel pendidikan (X4) dan pengalaman berusahatani (X6) berpengaruh terhadap keputusan petani menyimpan hasil panen padi. Sedangkan variabel jumlah produksi (X1), luas lahan (X2), umur (X3), dan jumlah tanggungan (X5) tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan petani menyimpan hasil panen padi. Abstract

Lubuk Lagan Village, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province has great potential in the production of palm mushrooms, so that it can be developed into processed food products of high economic value. Community service activities have been carried out with the aim of increasing the knowledge and skills of women's groups in Lubuk Lagan Village, Seluma Regency, in terms of processing technology, packaging and marketing of Economical Pizza with palm mushroom topping. The activity was carried out in three stages, namely socializing the potential and nutritional value of oil palm mushrooms, processing and packaging technology for economical pizza as well as profit analysis and price estimation of Economical Pizza products. The results of the activity showed that the enthusiasm of the women's group in Lubuk Lagan Village was very high, which was shown by their response and interest during the activity. With this activity, the knowledge and skills of the women's group in Lubuk Lagan Village regarding the potential of oil palm mushrooms as raw material for economical pizzas has increased for the better. The results of the profit analysis an economical pizza business, the production cost for one dough is Rp. 20.000,- for 16 slices of pizza. If sold at a price of Rp. 3,000, - per piece, it will get a profit of Rp. 16.000,- or 80%.

Abstract

The abundance of catfish harvests often makes the selling price of catfish low. Therefore, to utilize catfish, new innovations are needed so that it becomes a catfish product that has high economic value and long shelf life. Processed food products from catfish, which have the potential to be developed into products of economic value, are processed catfish nuggets. diversification of fish processing products. This activity is expected to provide benefits for students to increase knowledge, skills and be able to think creatively and innovatively based on entrepreneurship in processing fishery products. The training activity for making catfish nuggets was carried out at the Pondok Kubang Marine and Fisheries Vocational School, Bengkulu City. Participants in this activity were 25 students of Marine and Fisheries Vocational High School. This activity was carried out for 10 (ten) days, from March 17 2022 to March 26 2022. The training activities for making catfish nuggets are: preparation of tools and materials, weighing of materials, sorting, grinding, mixing of ingredients, steaming, cutting, blanching , freezing, frying and packaging

Abstract

Industri kecil disuatu daerah secara ekonomi mampu berkembang dan meningkatkan nilai produksi yang sudah menjadi permintaan konsumen secara kontiniu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui besarnya nilai tambah dan pemasaran kerupuk balok pada industri Raos Echo. Penentuan sampel lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive) yakni Usaha kerupuk sagu “Raos Echo”. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah pimpinan perusahaan dan lembaga-lembaga pemasaran. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari data primer dan data sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis nilai tambah, saluran pemasaran dan margin pemasaran, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Nilai tambah yang dihasilkan dari Agroindustri Kerupuk Raos Echo yaitu sebesar Rp.11.994,11/kg dengan persentase sebesar 0,32% dan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 10.456,11/kg dengan tingkat keuntungan sebesar 0,87%. Nilai tambah yang diperoleh dari pengolahan sagu menjadi kerupuk di usaha kerupuk Raos Echo tergolong rendah. Pada saluran pemasaran kerupuk Raos Echo di daerah penelitian memiliki 3 saluran pemasaran yaitu saluran I dari produsen ke pedagang pengecer Kota Bengkulu ke konsumen, saluran II dari produsen ke pedagang pengecer Bengkulu Tengah ke konsumen, saluran III konsumen ke produsen. Margin pemasaran saluran pemasaran tingkat ke I sebesar Rp.5000. Margin pemasaran saluran pemasaran tingkat ke II sebesar Rp.6000. Kata Kunci : Nilai Tambah, Pemasaran Kerupuk Balok, Raos Echo
