Abstract

There are many problems encountered in the field of agriculture, for example problems about diseases and pests in melon plants. Experts or experts in the field of agriculture rarely need to build a system that is able to adopt human processes and ways of thinking in the form of an expert system. The purpose of this study is to build an expert system to diagnose diseases and pests in melon plants using the forward chaining method. A reasoning that starts from facts first to test the correctness of a hypothesis. The system was tested using the black box testing method which was tested on experts and melon farmers. Based on the results of testing using the black box testing method tested on experts and farmers, the results of the assessment were obtained that the expert system for diagnosing diseases in melon plants was proven to run well as expected with 100% validation. The end result of this expert system is to make it easier for users to carry out the consultation process by providing a list of indication of diseases and pests experienced. Then the control of the type of disease and pest will be displayed according to the selected indication. In addition, this expert system also makes it easier for admins to update data such as disease data, indication and control. This expert system application program is also not only beneficial for experts but can also be useful for farmers that ordinary people who do not understand a little about melon plant diseases and pests.

Abstract

The many types of specifications, colors and brands of laptops are complicated and confusing for ordinary people who are going to buy laptops. The reason is, there are many variants of laptops on the market with different specifications. To help potential consumers in choosing a laptop that suits their needs, a decision support system (SPK) is needed that can provide the most appropriate laptop recommendations. This study discusses the decision support system for laptop selection recommendations using the Weighted Product (WP) method. This method is used to help consumers choose a laptop that suits their needs based on predetermined criteria, such as processor, RAM, Storage, and Price. After a search of the vector to get the ranking, the largest vector value of 0.124 was obtained on Sony, Appel, and Dell Alternatives to be recommended in the selection of laptops. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the decision support system (SPK) with the Weighted Product (WP) method can provide laptop recommendations that suit the needs of users. This research provides benefits for users in choosing the right laptop that suits their needs. In addition, this research can also be the basis for the development of a decision support system for the selection of laptops or computers in other fields.

Abstract

The selection of thesis supervisors at Universitas Baturaja is currently based on student proposals. This process is typically conducted manually and lacks a computerized system. Additionally, the assignment of thesis supervisors often overlooks the workload balance, resulting in an uneven distribution of supervisory duties among lecturers and sometimes misaligning with their areas of expertise. Given these challenges, a decision support system is needed to facilitate the selection process for thesis supervisors. This study aims to apply the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to the selection of thesis supervisors. Based on the calculations, the application of the SAW method evaluates four criteria: education, academic rank, field of expertise, and supervisory workload. The final assessment results indicate that the highest score, 88.8, was achieved by Alternative 5, Hendra.

Abstract

The rapid development of ICT allows the implementation ofvarious ways to become more efficient, one of which is in the world ofeducation. ICT itself must be mastered as part of a discipline that hasvarious functions as a tool for users (educators and learners) in thelearning process. The teaching and learning process is now not onlydone face-to-face but can also be done with the use of technology suchas online learning, among others, with social media, onlineconferences and learning management systems (LMS). With the onlinelearning process, it is necessary to do counseling and training relatedto the use of ICT in supporting online learning. This activity is carriedout in the hope of facilitating the learning process for both studentsand teachers to stay connected, both inside and outside the classroom.The result of the activities that have been carried out is that citizensalready understand and understand about the use of ICT to supportlearning from home.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat aplikasi sistem pakar untuk menangani kerusakan hardware komputer. Sistem pakar ini dapat digunakan dan membantu ahli komputer dan pengguna komputer proses diagnosa kerusakan komputer dengan cara memasukkan gejala-gejala kerusakan yang terjadi pada komputer serta mampu memberikan informasi pengetahuan tentang jenis kerusakan sehingga didapatkan solusi berupa pengendalian dari kerusakan tersebut. Sistem ini dikembangkan untuk menyimpan pengetahuan keahlian seorang pakar komputer, sehingga nantinya sistem yang dikembangkan ini dapat dijadikan asisten pandai untuk membantu memecahkan permasalahan pada hardware komputer.

Abstract

Speaking more about school information systems, today there are many computer applications that are devoted to the creation of applications, for example Mirosoft Access, Borland Delphi, and Visual Basic or web-based. But, in fact in SMK Kader Pembangunan Baturaja school data processing has not used computer-based application programs. This research aims to create a school information system in SMK Kader Pembangunan. The research method used is by waterfall method. This system is expected to facilitate and speed up the process of collecting, processing, and managing data or information, and support the implementation of teaching and learning in schools.
