Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan pada pembelajaran IPA SMK dengan model kontekstual berbasis proyek untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan KPS siswa. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid dengan rata-rata 3,68, dan efektif karena telah mampu memenuhi indikator yang diharapkan, yaitu: terdapat peningkatan KPS dengan skor rata-rata 72,85 dan ketuntasan klasikal 80,6% (29 dari 36 siswa telah tuntas); terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa, yaitu rata-rata meningkat dari 58,33 menjadi 81,39 dan ketuntasan klasikal 92% (33 dari 36 siswa telah tuntas); rata-rata hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik siswa juga mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan, yaitu ≥ 70; serta sebanyak 91,18% (31 dari 34 siswa) memberikan respon baik terhadap pembelajaran kontekstual berbasis proyek. This research is though development of science learning at vocational school using contextual model based on project to improve the learning result and science process skill students. The teaching and learning advise used in teaching “ways in handling waste” topic using contextual model based on project valid with average 3,68, effective because is able to complete the indicator, there is an increase of Science Process Skill with an average score of 72,85 and 80,6% completeness classical or 29 among 36 students have completed. There is an increase students’ cognitive learning outcomes, the average increased from 58,33 to 81,39 and 92 % classical completeness, or 33 among 36 students have completed. The average of affective and psychomotor learning outcomes students’ achieve well defined indicators of success, were ≥ 70. A total of 91,18% or 31 among 34 students responded well to the project based learning.

Abstract

Abstract ___________________________________________________________________ Mastery of scientific literacy is one of the objectives in science learning. Chemistry is one of the aspects of the material in science, so that control of chemical literacy is one indicator of the success of achieving success performance scientific literacy. This study aims to measure literacy levels of chemical science student teachers in the subject of Basic Chemistry. Ability scientific literacy of students that will be measured are to: 1) recognize chemical concepts (nominal literacy); 2) Describe the chemical concepts (functional literacy); 3) use their understanding of chemical concepts to explain a phenomenon (conceptual literacy); and 4) use their understanding of chemistry to analyze information from short paragraph (literacy multi-dimensional). This research is descriptive qualitative. Sampling was done by purposive random sampling technique. The sample (N= 61) was composed of first and second year in the Department of Science Education. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and open-ended paragraphs. The validity of the instrument used was expert judgment. Based on the research results, obtained the literacy skills of students by 56.64% nominal or category, please, and functional literacy of 26.40% or category Very Less. Meanwhile, conceptual literacy was 61.50%; multidimensional literacy was 50.20%. The low level of ability on functional literacy and multidimensional was because students are not accustomed to using asessment that revealed a high level thinking skills. These findings are expected to help in the design process of the new curriculum (KKNI) which put an emphasis on instructional strategies in developing chemical literacy.

Abstract

The Industrial revolution 4.0 era has changed the view of educational model focus, where the old literacy knowledge (reading, writing, and mathematic) is not enough to be modal in a society. Curriculum reorientation is needed as new literacy so it keeps to be existed in that era. This research aims to understand validity and reading level of Integrated Sciences digital module based on scientific literacy students, and to analyze TCK skills of students after using digital module. This research use R & D method with subject of 44 science teacher candidate. Validating was done by expert validator. Reading level uses the result of scale test. TCK analyzed with descriptive percentage. Research showed there is acceptance using of Integrated Sciences digital module with reading level in intermediate level (51,90%) and validity is high (81,25%). TCK was analyzed with likert type scale in a enough criteria due to use of digital module. It is concluded that Integrated Science digital module based on scientific literacy can be used as learning module. Development of other digital module needs supporting from high institution so that it can hold on industry revolution 4.0 era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan komunikasi ilmiah melalui implementasi kartu kuartet dan respon siswa setelah menggunakan implemtasi kartu kuartet. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control grup. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah salah satu sekolah menengah pertama di kramat kabupaten tegal. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan uji purposiv sampling, uji intrumen yang meliputi uji validitas teoritis (validitas isi dan konstruk), uji validitas empiris (rasch model), uji prasyarat analisis (uji normalitas, uji homogenitas), anlaisis uji hipotesis (independen sample t-test) dan analisis kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa: hasil perbedaan komunikasi ilmiah siswa melalui implementasi kartu kuartet dengan menggunakan independen sample t-test memperoleh yang signifikan yaitu 0,00 < 0,05, dan respon siswa setelah menggunakan kartu kuartet sangat tinggi This study aims to determine the differences in scientific communication through the implementation of quartet cards and student responses after using the implementation of a quartet card. Research conducted using a qualitative approach. This type of research is an experiment with a posttest only control group design. The location of this study is one of the junior high schools in Kramat Tegal. Methods of data collection using tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used were purposive sampling, instrument testing which included tests of theoretical validity (content and construct validity), empirical validity tests (rasch models), analysis prerequisite tests (normality tests, homogeneity tests), analysis of hypothesis tests (independent sample t- test) and questionnaire analysis. The results of this study state that: the results of differences in scientific communication of students through the implementation of a quartet card using an independent sample t-test obtained a significant of 0.00 <0.05, and the response of students after using a quartet card is very high

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the Learning Cycle 5E model on junior high school students' science process skills. This study used the Quasi-Experimental Design study with Nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used a science process skills test. The research sample is students in class VII semester II of Junior High Scool 8 Pekalongan, which purposive random sampling technique. The data were collected by essay tests of science process skills, observation sheets, and documents. Analytical data were used instrument analysis, pretest, and posttest of science process skills, etc. Based on the value of n-gain from Learning Cycle 5E class were obtained 66.33 with moderate criteria, so the Learning Cycle 5E model is moderate in science process skills. The students' responses towards the  Learning Cycle 5E model were positive, 14 of the 15 statement items included in the excellent category. It indicates that the learning cycle 5E can encourage students’ science process skills.

Abstract

Student quality of Science education program  in the University of Pancasakti Tegal which is prepared to be science teacher candidates in junior high school in the future needs to be enhanced, because they must improve student scientific literacy ability.  Students were expected to have scientific literacy competence and advanced in internet technology. Thus, research objectives were determining validity, reading level, and module effectiveness. It was development research. Subject of this reasearch is Students of Science Education study program in University of Pancasakti Tegal, semester IV, 2017/2018 academic year. The first step was fulfilling validity criteria, reading level and then trying out to determine learning effectiveness. Data analyze used judgment expert method, t-test and gain test. It concluded that the Integrated Science digital module based on scientific literacy was valid for learning with a score of 26 (high), easy understanding in reading level , it was useful to enhance cognitive learning outcome students that  could be seen from classical learning outcome total of experiment class of 82.35% and control class of 52.94%. Gain result and t-test showed that there was a significant difference between experiment class and control class, it was 4.057, gain test for experiment class was g = 0.31and control class of g = 0.24.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tahapan pengembangan komik berbasis Science Edutainment dan untuk mengetahui efektivitas implementasi komik berbasis Science Edutainment terhadap sikap literasi sains peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan (Reseaerch and Development) dengan model 4 D. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII MTs Asy-Syafi’iyyah Jatibarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan komik meliputi 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu; 1) tahap pendefinisian, 2) tahap perancangan, 3) tahap pengembangan, 4) tahap penyebarluasan meliputi uji skala kecil kepada 7 peserta didik dan uji skala besar kepada 32 peserta didik kelas VII MTs Asy-Syafi’iyyah Jatibarang. Hasil uji skala kecil memperoleh rata-rata skor 33,71, dan uji skala besar memperoleh rata-rata skor 33,6, Sehingga menunjukkan bahwa komik berbasis Science Edutainment sangat layak untuk digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil N-Gain Score pada bidang minat sains sebesar 0,52 yang termasuk kriteria sedang. Hasil N-Gain Score pada bidang menilai pendekatan ilmiah sebesar 0,51 yang termasuk kriteria sedang. Hasil N-Gain Score pada bidang kesadaran lingkungan sebesar 0,59 yang termasuk kriteria sedang. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa penerapan media komik berbasis Science Edutainment yang dilakukan sudah cukup efektif sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik pada aspek sikap.

Abstract

The study aimed to 1) determine the effect of learning using the PjBL model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material on student literacy, and 2) find out the student responses toward the learning using the PjBL model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material on students scientific literacy. The research used a quasi-experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest control group design. The sample selection techniques used Purpose Sampling, both Experiment and control class. Data collection techniques were questionnaires, documentation, and tests. Data analysis used the Independent Sample T-Test and the coefficient of determination. The finding showed that the treatment of the research subject was the class. In the experimental class, the pretest score was 71.79 and the posttest score was 75.94. Meanwhile, in the control class, the pretest score was 60.27 and the posttest score was 66.53. The N-Gain value was 0.35 in the Experiment class and 0.31 in the control class, so it was in the medium category. In short, the implementation of the PjBl model assisted by Padlet on environmental pollution material affects students' scientific literacy by 4.6%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the differences in students' critical thinking skills in natural science subjects between those who use the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model (TSTS) and those who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model (2) the effectiveness of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type of cooperative learning models and Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research was an experiment with a Posttest-Only Control Design group method. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling to determine the experimental class and the controlled class. Data collection techniques were the test. Furthermore, the research instrument used the final test to measure students' critical thinking skills. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained the results of hypothesis testing and hypothesis testing on the effectiveness of students' critical thinking skills. The calculation results of the hypothesis test for differences in critical thinking skills of students using the Independent Samples t-test showed tcount greater than ttable (14.710 greater than 1.674) and a significance value of 0.000 less than0.05, while the results of the effectiveness test on students' critical thinking skills used the One Sample t-test. The test shows the value of tcount greater than ttable (11.654 greater than 1.708) and a significance value of 0.000 less than0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Sistem peredaran darah adalah materi dalam mata pelajaran IPA terpadu yang memuat banyak materi hapalan. Penggunaan alat peraga yang menggambarkan mekanisme kerja diperlukan untuk memudahkan siswa dalam memvisualisasikan ingatannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menguji keefektifan media alat peraga sistem peredaran darah dalam pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian eksperimen. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil sebanyak 15 siswa pada kelompok eksperimen, dan 15 siswa pada kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (posttest). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media alat peraga ini cukup efektif dalam suatu pembelajaran yang ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan rata-rata nilai kontrol dan eksperimen. Tidak hanya itu media berupa alat peraga meningkatkan daya ingat peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Alat Peraga, keefektifan, sistem peredaran darah
