Abstract

The creation of three-segment keteng-keteng (telu ngawan) with high, midle, and low characters, is carried out through the Soprano, Alto, tenor, and Bass frequency approaches, so that the keteng-keteng telu ngawan instrument becomes a “new” musical ensemble called the keteng-keteng Ensemble. Keteng-keteng Telu Ngawan. The frequency of keteng-keteng telungawan with soprano character is on a scale of 261,626-1046.50 Hz, the frequency of keteng-keteng telungawan with alto character is on a scale of 174,614-698,456 Hz, the frequency of keteng-keteng telungawan with tenor character is on a scale of 130,813-523,251, and the frequency of keteng-keteng telungawan bass character is on a scale of 82.4069-329.628. The determination of the tuning of the four keteng-keteng telungawan is done by recording the sound of the four keteng-keteng telungawan then transferring the sound to a string instrument category and entering it into several music tuner applications such as Da Tuner, Guitar Tuna or other similar applications. The results of the music tuner will be entered into the website so that it will automatically know where the frequency of the sound for each keteng-keteng telu ngawan is.

Abstract

This study examines performance model of Kulcapi Karo as a teaching material in guitar learning classes at Music Art Study Program in Unimed. To obtain maximum learning outcomes in the learning process, creative strategies and methods are created in utilizing local music culture as a capital in improving music playing skills. Efforts are made in various ways to maximize learning by reviewing and analyzing matters related to the learning process such as; analyze learning objectives, teaching material, strategies or learning methods, including local cultural material as a learning resource that can be adapted to the development and needs of the community in the world of education that continues to grow. Based on this, it is very important if Kulcapi's musical instrument culture as local culture can be packaged and used as teaching material in learning guitar music instruments. This is intended to further enrich students' understanding of theoretical concepts and the practice of playing stringed musical instruments is not only limited to popular knowledge, but also on things that are more specifically including traditional ones. With the effort to study and understand the Kulcapi instrument as teaching material, students must absolutely understand the organology structure and the technique of playing Kulcapi to be able to be developed to the level of being able to play better musical instruments. The technique of playing Kulcapi instrument as a capital in developing students' abilities in guitar courses seems to be more able to improve the achievement of better quality learning outcomes

Abstract

Keteng-keteng is a traditional Karo music that is played by beating with two sticks. So far, keteng-ketengare made from one segment of bamboo, therefore this research creates an electric keteng-ketengtelu ngawan which is the development of one bamboo segment into three bamboo sections by adding an equalizer to the keteng-ketengso that the resulting keteng-ketengssound can actually be adjusted according to the color of the sound on the middle bass and treble. The objectives of this study were to: (1) produce electric keteng-keteng telu ngawan; (2) to find out the technique of playing the electric keteng-ketengtelu ngawan; (3) to determine the musical composition of electric keteng-ketengtelu ngawan. The method used in this research is the Research & Development approach, which consists of: (1) defining the concept of creating electric keteng-keteng telu ngawan; (2) Creation of electric keteng-ketengtelu ngawan; (3) validation by experts, namely traditional Karo music artists. With the creation of electric keteng-keteng telu ngawan, it can minimize keteng-keteng play and produce Electric Keteng-Keteng Telu Ngawan sound with three different characters, namely high, midle and low characters. From this combination, two different gung characters were found because berunausesvibrating aids, while Daluna did not use vibrating aids.Keywords: Creation, Keteng-Keteng, Electric, Telu Ngawan.

Abstract

The development of instructional media in this paper is the development of learning media used in learning Arts and Culture class X High School in Pangururan District, Samosir Regency. The learning media developed are invincible with the syllabus in class X, namely "presentation of musical works". The objectives of this study were to: (1) develop traditional Karo music learning videos; (2) Developing Karo traditional music learning textbooks. This research uses a Research & Development or research and development approach. The development of this learning media will be used by art teachers who are members of the MGMP (subject teacher deliberation) for Cultural Arts, especially art teachers in Pangururan District, Samosir Regency. The research conducted resulted in the development of instructional media in the form of learning videos for learning traditional Karo music and textbooks for learning traditional Karo music. The learning media developed in the form of learning videos for traditional Karo music includes the technique of playing Karo traditional music which is incorporated in the kulcapi drum ensemble whose instruments consist of kulcapi, keteng-keteng, and mangkuk. The next learning media is in the form of a textbook which contains the techniques for playing the kulcapi drum in the song Piso Surit and Terang Bulan. The two learning media that have been developed help the arts and culture teachers in carrying out the ethnicity of the ethnic North Sumatra.Keywords: Development, Learning Media, Ethnicity, North Sumatra

Abstract

Kelompok seniman Reog yang berkiprah di Desa Helvetia dalam menjalankan kehidupan kebudayaan seni Reog kondisinya saat ini mulai memprihatinkan. Kelompok seniman tersebut memiliki berbagai persoalan dalam mempertahankan dan mengembangkan jenis kesenian yang memiliki nilai-nilai kearifan lokalnya. Perlu dilakukannya pendampingan serta pembimbingan untuk Perbaikan tata nilai pada masyarakat Jawa Deli dalam pertunjukan Seni serta terciptanya produk inovasi pengelolaan instrumen musik iringan Reog (dodok). Penelitian ini akan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif, yaitu metode riset yang sifatnya memberikan penjelasan dengan menggunakan analisis. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni masyarakat pelaku kesenian atau seniman Reog di Desa Helvetia Deli Serdang telah dapat menginovasi instrumen musik dodok dalam mengiringi kesenian Reog, masyarakat pelaku kesenian atau seniman Reog telah mampu membuat konsep baru dalam menciptakan komposisi musik iringan Reog, serta masyarakat pelaku kesenian atau seniman reog yang berada di Desa Helvetia Deli Serdang telah mampu membuat konsep baru pertunjukan Reog.

Abstract

Bahan Ajar merupakan bagian yang sangat penting dalam proses pembelajaran, baik dalam pembelajaran teori maupun praktek.  Bahan ajar yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran instrumen gitar persiapan terdiri dari tangga nada, etude dan lagu. Namun bahan ajar tersebut perlu dianalisis kembali untuk mengetahui kesesuaian bahan ajar dengan mahasiswa semester awal, bahan ajar yang diberikan ter-update dan sesuai dengan grade (tingkatan) pada pembelajaran gitar.Hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan pada bahan ajar gitar persiapan ternyata banyak materi yang ada pada bahan ajar kurang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa, karena mahasiswa yang masih dikategorikan pada tingkat pemula. Tangga nada yang diberikan terlalu sedikit padahal tangga nada tersebut mendukung dalam permainan etude dan lagu, sedangkan etude dan lagu yang banyak yang sulit untuk dimainkan karena tingkatannya yang tidak sesuai dengan pemula. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya revisi bahan ajar agar mahasiswa dapat bermain gitar sesuai dengan tingkatannya (grade).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the interest of YP high school students. HKBP Sidorame in following Jong Batak Art Festival IV in the North Sumatra Cultural Park and the factors that influenced the interest of YP High School students. HKBP Sidorame in following Jong Batak Art Festival IV in North Sumatra Cultural Park. The theory used in this study is the theory of interest, kinds of interests, influencing factors, jong batak which explains the feeling of being more like and feeling interested in something or activity, without being told. Basically, interest is the acceptance of a relationship between yourself and something outside of yourself, the stronger or nearer the relationship, the greater the interest. The method in this study is mixed methods. Data collection is based on library studies, observation, and documentation. The sample in this study were students of class XII IPS 1 totaling 32 people. Based on the results of the research conducted, it can be seen that the use of questionnaires as research instruments shows that students are interested in participating in the Jong Batak Art Festival IV but have not reached the highest level in the assessment category, which is Very Interested.

Abstract

Pengembangan musikalitas melalui bunyi-bunyi alam sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan musikalitas yang dimilikinya, khususnya dalam mengembangkan melodi, irama dan harmoni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan musikalitas mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Musik melalui bunyi-bunyi alam yang ada di sekitarnya. Bunyi-bunyi alam tersebut terlebih dahulu diobservasi, diidentifikasi, kemudian membuat imitasi berdasarkan unsur-unsur musikalitasnya (melodi, irama, harmoni), memainkan dan mengkreasikannya menjadi satu komposisi musik. Melalui pengembangan musikalitas dengan bunyi-bunyi alam, kemudian mahasiswa mengeluarkan ide-ide kreatifnya dengan mewujudkan bunyi-bunyi yang didengarnya. Kreativitas mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan bunyi-bunyi alam dapat dilihat dari menemukan topik atau gagasan, menemukan suara alam sebagai sumber bunyi, mengkomposisikannya menjadi enak untuk didengar dan diapresiasikan kepada orang lain. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada khazanah ilmu pengetahuan khususnya di bidang kajian Pendidikan musik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Pembelajaran Seni Musik Berbasis Etnis Simalungun Dalam Aplikasi Website. Permasalahan pada penelitin ini adalah belum tersedianya materi pembelajaran Seni Budaya di SMK khususnya musik tradisional Sumatera Utara, oleh sebab itu maka tuujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menyusun materi seni musik berbasis etnis Simalungun dalam bentuk dokumen; (2) mengunggah materi seni musik berbasis etnis Simalungun dalam bentuk audio visual ke dalam aplikasi website. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpul data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian merumuskan bahwa materi yang disusun untuk pembelajaran seni musik adalah pembelajaran sulim simalungun dalam bentuk audio visual. Video Pembelajaran Sulim Simalungun yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini menguraikan tentang teknik dalam memainkan sulim Simalungun secara bertahap, baik teknik memainkan sulim secara umum maupun teknik yang khas dalam memainkan sulim Simalungun. Selanjutnya dengan VCD pembelajaran sulim Simalungun diunggah pada website dengan blog https://pembelajaransulimsimalungun.blogspot.com/, sehingga digunakan pembelajaran Seni Musik.
