Abstract

This study aimed to identify and to contrast differences in Javanese-Indonesian speech acts in the Yowis Ben The Series film. This study used a contrastive analysis study with a sociolinguistic approach, which in this context emphasizes the aspects of pronouns, personal titles, and language variations. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study are speech acts in Javanese and Indonesian (translation) which are used as dialogues in the film. The data source in this study was taken from the Yowis Ben The Series film through the WeTV video streaming application. The results of this study indicated that there were differences usage of Javanese-Indonesian speech in aspects of pronouns, personal titles, and language variations. This difference was due to non-linguistic aspects, such as the speaker's background, age, position or degree of speech partners in society. Keywords: Speech Act, Contrastive Analysis, Sociolinguistic

Abstract

PKBM as non-formal education provider in the form of equality education and life skills cannot stand alone to carry out its duties and roles. Therefore PKBM builds partnership networks with other parties so that roles and functions can be achieved, given the limited resources owned by PKBM units. The purpose of this study is to describe how the understanding of PKBM unit managers in building partnership networks. To answer the research objectives in general, the researcher explores information regarding the meaning of partnership networks for PKBM unit managers, characteristics of partnership networks, and factors that become obstacles in building partnership networks.This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method, involving 15 PKBM unit managers from several districts in Jambi Province, namely Batanghari, Merangin and Muaro Bungo. Data collected through observation, interviews, and documents were analyzed by following the steps of data analysis in qualitative research. The data that has been analyzed is tested for its validity in theory, field sources, and other sources.This study found that the understanding of building a partnership network for PKBM unit managers was limited to a practical understanding so that the available service programs could run according to plan with the limited resources of the PKBM unit. Therefore, this needs to be addressed by providing direct experience to PKBM unit managers through visits to other PKBM units that serve as references and providing training regarding PKBM management. The results of this study can be used for the development of community-based educational organizations.

Abstract

The head of the madrasa must be able to carry out supervision activities to improve teacher performance. Supervision will help identify deficiencies in the teacher's learning process so far. Then look for joint solutions to improve learning activities in the classroom. This study reveals the performance of Darul Ulum Private MTS Madrasah teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study are: 1) Supervision is carried out in several stages, namely: planning, implementing and tracking. Supervision is carried out by the head of the madrasa and assisted by the teacher council. Matters that are subject to supervision include: administrative and academic supervision. Administrative supervision is carried out before the implementation of distance learning. Academic supervision is carried out by means of tutors taking virtual classes or online classes; 2) Obstacles in the implementation of supervision, namely the schedule of solid activities, computer literacy is still low, madrasa facilities supporting online learning are not enough, 3) Follow-up for some teachers who are not proficient in teaching methods is through the Zenius application to make it easier for teachers to take part in online training. In addition, madrasas also provide the facilities needed for these teachers to carry out distance learning in the form of providing adequate computers and equipment

Abstract

Educational media is an important component in education for making the Jambi Province Map which must be presented in an innovative way. Media that is currently known is a digital map that is not easy to read and the position and location or color errors, this situation will lead to errors in meaning and purpose. This study aims to make a product in the form of a digital map and test its validity based on media experts. This study uses the ADDIE model development procedure which is modified into 4 stages, namely analysis, design, development and implementation. The Likert scale method was used as an analysis to retrieve information from 20 class VII students of SMPN I Jambi City as respondents, while the validation method was used as an analysis to test product validity. The results of the development in this study are in the form of digital map images designed through the Android-based UMapper and WhatsApp Plus Aero applications. Test results from two material experts show that this product gets a score of 47 and 46 out of a maximum score of 50 which means very good. This shows that the development of this media is very good in meeting the needs of students in the field of education for making Jambi Province maps, being creative and innovating in using media in the form of android-based applications.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu kewajiban yang harus ditempuh oleh setiap anak bangsa, agar dimasa yang akan datang dapat bersaing dan tidak tertinggal oleh bangsa lain. Guru sebagai kunci dalam keberhasilan pendidikan yang ditempuh oleh anak didik. Maka, figur guru sebagai garda terdepan dalam mencerdaskan anak didiknya perlu dibimbing dan dibina melalui supervisi pengajaran agar keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pendidikan dapat meningkat. Akan tetapi, hal ini malah menimbulkan beberapa persepsi guru terhadap kegiatan supervisi pengajaran. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguraikan bagaimana persepsi guru terhadap kegiatan supervisi pengajaran khususnya di Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor kampus 10 Jambi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru di Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor kampus 10 Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi guru tentang supervisi pengajaran meliputi kesiapan guru dalam menjalankan tugasnya, penguasaan materi, cara penyampaian, dan disiplin guru itu sendiri.

Abstract

Bellshoes Laundry implements marketing communication activities in selling its services as an effort to deal with any problems that arise. In this way, they can ensure that information about their services is conveyed well to customers and potential customers, and ensure that good relationships are maintained. This helps Bellshoes Laundry to remain competitive in the market and maintain customer satisfaction. The aim of the research is to determine marketing communication activities for Bellshoses Laundry services. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. In accordance with the problems studied, data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, documentation which were useful in providing facts and data regarding communication activities and their obstacles to being presented and analyzed. The research results show that the marketing communication activities carried out include advertising, packaging, merchandising and word of mouth activities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe how language politeness management in the student WAG application responds to messages delivered by lecturers and messages delivered by classmates carried out on communication science students in the odd semester of 2021/2022 guided by the principle of language politeness, namely the principle of politeness and the principle of politeness management. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection through observation of activities in the WhatsApp Group (WAG) and messages contained in the WAG, interviews conducted with students are open, and documentation in the form of achievements in the WAG. The data collected carried out data analyzed through the stages of qualitative data analysis and the validity of the data was carried out through triangulation. The results showed that: 1) students prioritize the principles and rules of language politeness in responding to messages conveyed by lecturers rather than messages delivered by classmates, and 2) language politeness management is more applied to messages sent to lecturers than classmates are.
