Abstract

Tingginya angka perokok di Indonesia, khususnya di kalangan pemuda, menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan merokok masih bertahan meskipun pemerintah telah menerapkan kebijakan gambar peringatan larangan merokok pada kemasan rokok. Observasi awal penelitian ini yang dilakukan pada Mahasiswa Aktif Program Studi S1 Administrasi Publik Fisip Unmul menggambarkan bahwa, sebagian besar dari mereka percaya bahwa gambar peringatan larangan merokok pada kemasan rokok merupakan gambaran nyata akibat merokok, namun, banyak dari mereka yang tetap merokok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gambar peringatan larangan merokok pada kemasan rokok terhadap kesadaran bahaya merokok di kalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merujuk pada Teori Perilaku Terencana dari Ajzen, yang menyatakan bahwa dalam konteks ini, gambar peringatan larangan merokok pada kemasan rokok mampu menimbulkan sikap negatif terhadap rokok, memperkuat norma sosial anti-merokok, serta meningkatkan rasa percaya diri mahasiswa untuk mengurangi atau menghentikan kebiasaan merokok. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 85 Responden, pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang dirancang untuk mengukur penerimaan informasi dari gambar peringatan larangan merokokdan tingkat kesadaran responden mengenai bahaya merokok. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik Bivariat menggunakan Chi Square Test 2X2. Hasil analisis tersebut memperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.411, yang dimana angka tersebut lebih besar dari 0.05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa gambar peringatan larangan merokok pada kemasan rokok tidak memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kesadaran mahasiswa akan bahaya merokok. Responden umumnya menganggap gambar tersebut sebagai peringatan yang bersifat informatif, tetapi tidak cukup kuat untuk memotivasi mereka berhenti merokok atau meningkatkan kesadaran akan risiko kesehatan secara mendalam.   Kata Kunci: Gambar Peringatan Kemasan Rokok, Komunikasi Visual, Kesadaran Mahasiswa, Teori Perilaku Terencana, Perilaku Merokok

Abstract

This study is motivated by the important role of first-time voters in shaping democracy, who often face limitations in information and understanding of the election process. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of political literacy conducted by the General Election Commission (KPU) of Samarinda City in increasing the participation of first-time voters through Instagram. The study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that KPU Samarinda has implemented various political literacy programs, including outreach in schools, utilization of Instagram, and democracy training for youth. However, challenges such as low political interest among young voters and limited resources remain obstacles. In conclusion, the political literacy efforts by KPU positively contribute to raising awareness and participation of first-time voters, though strengthening strategies and cross-sector collaboration are needed for more optimal outcomes.

Abstract

This study investigates the communication strategy of Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio as a Local Public Broadcasting Institution 100.6 FM in maintaining its existence. Against the backdrop of technological advances that have given rise to new media offering flexibility and fierce competition in the radio industry, this study aims to understand how radio broadcasting institutions maintain their existence amidst the presence of new media and competition between radio industries. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research method with a Case Study approach through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio forms a structure, conducts surveys to improve the quality of broadcasting programs and adjusts to listener preferences, The planning stage involves setting clear goals for digital transformation, listener segmentation, content adjustment, In the implementation carried out displaying special programs, and interactive, in routine evaluations carried out to review the effectiveness of the program and see from the listener's response. reporting is made routinely and in writing and becomes the basis for future decision making. From the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the communication strategy carried out by Kutai Kartanegara Government Radio applies the stages of communication strategy according to Hafied Cangara, namely research, planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting and applies the Boundary Spanning Theory in several stages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis strategi komunikasi publik yang diterapkan oleh Wali Kota Balikpapan, Rahmad Mas’ud, melaui akun Instagram @rrhmadmasud dalam menyampaikan pesan Pembangunan kepada masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana Strategi Komunikasi Publik dalam Menyampaikan Pesan Pembangunan Di Kota Balikpapan. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teori Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) dan Strategi Komunikasi Hafied Cangara. Peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling bertujuan (purposive sampling). Pengambilan sampel berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara mendalam sebagai data primer dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pesan pembangunan yang disampaikan mencakup beberapa aspek seperti infrastruktur, pelayanan public, kesejahteraan sosial serta program lingkungan. Pesan dikemas dalam bentuk teks, foto video dan infografis untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterlibatan masyarakat. dalam konteks CMC, komunikasi Pembangunan melalui Instagram memungkinkan interaksi yang tidak terbatas ruang dan waktu. Selain itu sesuai dengan fokus penelitian 4 tahapan yang dijalankan dalam strategi komunikasi publik yakni Memilih dan Menetapkan Komunikator, Terdapat 3 syarat sebagai komunikator yakni kredibilitas, daya tarik dan kekuatan, Menetapkan Target Sasaran dan Analisis Kebutuhan Khalayak, Teknik Menyusun Pesan, Memilih Media dan Saluran Komunikasi

Abstract

In the increasingly growing digital era, online transactions have become popular among the public, which has made consumer behavior undergo significant changes, especially among Generation Z who are very familiar with technology and social media. One of the features that is quite popular in e-commerce platforms is Shopee Live, which combines the concept of online shopping with interactive live broadcasts. This phenomenon shows a change in the way of shopping that is not only functional but also emotional, so that it has the potential to encourage impulsive buying behavior. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out how generation z's perception of the shopee live feature, especially persuasive communication elements, can encourage impulse purchase behavior when shopping at shopee e-commerce. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews with ten Generation Z informants in the city of Samarinda using purposive sampling techniques and Miles & Huberman analysis techniques. The results of the study show that Generation Z perceives Shopee Live as a fun, practical, and easy-to-use feature for the decision-making process. They consider this feature to be able to present a more real shopping experience than ordinary catalogs. The persuasive communication element in Shopee Live contributes to increasing interest in watching and helps encourage impulsive purchasing behavior. Thus, the shopee live feature has been proven to have a role in shaping positive perceptions while encouraging impulse buying behavior among generation Z in the context of online shopping. These findings provide insight for e-commerce players in designing more persuasive communication strategies, as well as encouraging consumers to be wiser in making purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how  to frame the news issue "Luhut Reported To The South Sulawesi Police Regarding Big Data Postponement Of Elections" in CNNIndonesia.com? This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. Descriptive research aims to provide an overview and description of the observed phenomenon, in this case an analysis of press ethics on news issues. Descriptive research will focus on systematic data collection and analysis, so that it can provide detailed information about the characteristics, behaviors, or other aspects of the phenomenon being studied. As a result, CNN Indonesia should verify any claims that arise as an issue and ensure that the information presented is accurate and not misleading.

Abstract

Polda Kaltim, dikenal sebagai Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Timur, memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban di Kalimantan Timur, Indonesia. Mereka juga aktif terlibat dalam penanganan kejahatan, termasuk perdagangan narkoba, kejahatan siber, dan tindak kriminal lainnya. Oleh karena itu, sebagai lembaga pemerintah, penting bagi mereka untuk memberikan informasi yang cepat, jelas, dan akurat kepada masyarakat untuk membangun Citra yang baik. Upaya kepolisian untuk menjaga Citra positif mereka sejalan dengan teori public relations yang dikemukakan oleh Rheinald Kasali. Mereka mengadopsi pendekatan strategis yang mengandalkan konsep-konsep komunikasi dari Model Lasswell dengan lima pertanyaan kunci yaitu siapa yang terlibat (who), apa yang disampaikan (what is said), melalui saluran apa (communication channel), kepada siapa (to whom), dan apa dampaknya (what effect). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap upaya yang dilakukan oleh Humas Polda Kaltim dalam menjaga citra positif Polda Kaltim pada tahun 2022. Peneliti menggunakan teknik analisis data dan model interaksi yang dikembangkan oleh Miles dan Huberman untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Polri perlu memperhatikan aspek penting dalam komunikasi dengan masyarakat. Pertama, mereka harus memastikan bahwa personel memiliki integritas, kompetensi, dan moralitas yang tinggi. Kedua, pesan yang disampaikan kepada masyarakat harus akurat, transparan, relevan, dan menyoroti prestasi, layanan, serta komitmen Polri terhadap keamanan dan keadilan. Ketiga, Polri perlu memilih saluran komunikasi yang tepat, Keempat, pesan harus ditujukan kepada berbagai kelompok dalam masyarakat, dengan memahami kebutuhan dan kepentingan mereka. Terakhir, Polri harus memantau dampak dari pesan yang disampaikan untuk memastikan mereka mencapai tujuan dalam mempertahankan cira positif dan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap institusi Polri.

Abstract

Environmental issues have become the talk of recent years, education and information about deteriorating natural conditions are needed to maintain natural health. Given the rise of environmental issues in recent years, PT Lasallefood Indonesia has participated by raising environmental issues as their advertising concept for 2023. This study aims to show environmental issues in the form of marine pollution represented in marjan advertisements "baruna sang guardian samudra" episodes 1 and 2 using qualitative approaches and data collection techniques Observation and documentation. The analysis was conducted by observing scenes related to marine pollution obtained through symbols and signs displayed throughout the marjan advertisement "Baruna the Guardian of the Ocean" episodes 1 and 2 through the approach of Charles Sanders Pierce's Semiotic Theory. The results of this study show that the Baruna Sang Guardian of the Ocean marjan advertisement tries to represent 3 aspects broadly related to environmental issues of marine pollution, the first is the act of marine pollution represented by adult characters who are fishermen and children as coastal villagers who throw plastic waste into the sea, the second is the impact of plastic pollution on the marine environment represented by the inner ocean and the surface that has been Filled with plastic waste, the last impact of marine pollution that is happening to marine life is represented by the figure of a dragon as marine life affected by marine pollution in the form of being eaten by plastic waste.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Semiotika Pesan Moral Pada Film Teman Tapi Menikah 2”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pesan moral yang terkandung dalam film “Teman Tapi Menikah 2”. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis penelitian ini adalah Teori Komunikasi Massa, dan Analisis Semiotika oleh Charles Sanders Pierce yang terdiri atas makna representamen, objek, dan interpretant. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisi storyboard Subjek penelitian adalah film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 yang berdurasi 100 menit yang terdiri atas 108 scene dan 20 scene sebagai objek yang dianalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pada film Teman Tapi Menikah 2 terdapat banyak scene yang mengandung pesan moral. Beberapa pesan moral yang terdapat melalui scene- scene yang dianalisis antara lain berisi tentang; Pertama hubungan antara manusia dengan Tuhan adalah menjalankan perintah agama seperti memakai hijab. Kedua hubungan antara manusia dengan diri sendiri seperti kemandirian seorang ibu dan rasa rindu. Ketiga, hubungan antara manusia dengan manusia lain seperti persahabatan dan kasih sayang orang tua
