Abstract

In Indonesia, the coverage of infants that get breastfeeding exclusively were still low. In 2013, the average coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia was 54,3%. Surabaya, in East Java Province, is one of the city with low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. The average of babies who got exclusively breastfeeding in Surabaya since 2012 2015 were 63,13%, still below the target of Health Ministry. This research conducted to analyze the relationship between motivation, perception, and knowledge of pregnant women and breastfeeding practice. The respondent of the research was pregnant woman and the study continued until they are giving birth. Sample size was 79 mothers in East Surabaya. Result showed that majority mothers have high motivation to breastfeed, positive perception related to breast milk, low knowledge about breastfeeding, and they already give breastmilk only for their babies during the first week. Conclusion was there was no significant relationship between motivation, perception, and knowledge towards breastfeeding practice. This is caused by there were a lot of factors that influenced directly or indirectly towards mothers decisionand practice to breasfeed or not.

Abstract

COVID-19 has become a global pandemic in 2020. As of May 25, 2020 there were 22,750 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Indonesia. Prevention and control of COVID-19 needs to be carried out by the village government which is in direct contact with the community. Supported by the issuance of Permendes No. 6 of 2020 concerning the Implementation Regulations for the COVID-19 Response Village Program. Meteseh Village is one of the villages in Kendal Regency that has a risk of spreading COVID-19. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using in-depth interviews using purposive technique with informants selected based on criteria and literature study. The results show that the implementation of the COVID-19 Response Village Program in Meteseh Village has not been running optimally due to unclear implementation standards in related policies, limited human resource capacity in program planning and resource management, especially in the aspect of controlling COVID-19 and the community attitudes that do not apply health protocols influenced by social, economic, political conditions. Therefore, Meteseh Village is advised to increase the role of village midwives to provide education about the handling of COVID-19 to program implementers, increase the participation of health workers, religious leaders and community leaders in Meteseh Village to assist in handling COVID-19, continue to provide informations of COVID-19 and conduct evaluation activities of program implementation including make a complete written report about program implementation.

Abstract

Primary Health Centre (PHC) is one of the public institution which have important role to provide health care services to the community. According to Regulation of Semarang Major no. 13 year 2016 about  Governance Pattern of  Local Public Service Institution  (BLUD) of Puskesmas, since 2017 PHC in Semarang transformed into BLUD PHC which enable PHC to be more flexible, productive, efficient, and effective on managing their resources and finance. This research objective was to identify patient satisfaction of BLUD PHC in Semarang. This was quantitative research with cross-sectional design and research variables are tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empaty, dan patient’s satisfaction. Respondents were 140 patients of BLUD PHC in Semarang City: Bulu Lor, Gayamsari, Pudakpayung, Bangetayu, Halmahera, Kedungmundu, dan Mangkang. Result showed that most of the patient satisfied with the health care services in PHC. From all of the indicators, more than 80% respondents stated that they were satisfied with the services in PHC. The highest score was on responsiveness aspect, which 95.0% patient scored high on the PHC responsiveness. It could be because PHC already maximize their resources to provide high quality health care services.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic that hit the whole world, especially in Indonesia, had a significant impact on the health sector, especially in the provision of health services for the community. With this condition, the Indonesian government began to develop long-distance services (Telemedicine), where these services are aimed at preventing the spread of Covid-19, especially in health care facilities, as well as providing convenience for the community to reach health services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Of several hospitals in Surakarta, Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedic Hospital is one of the hospitals that develops telemedicine services during the Covid-19 pandemic. From this, an overall analysis is needed regarding the implementation of telemedicine services whether they are appropriate and can achieve their goals and have a significant level of use and impact during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, this study aims to analyze the context, input, process, and product aspects of telemedicine services during the Covid-19 pandemic. Method: This research was conducted using the CIPP theory by Daniel L. Stufflebeam (1966) which consists of aspects of context, input, process, and product. This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection carried out by in-depth interviews selected based on purposive sampling.Results: The results showed that the operation of telemedicine services was carried out due to the Covid-19 pandemic condition with the aim of providing complete services to patients during the Covid-19 pandemic, lack of socialization regarding guidelines for implementing telemedicine to related implementing staff, poor coordination in the planning process, the inclusion of telemedicine into the annual and five-year planning of the Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Orthopedic, there is no report to the authorities regarding telemedicine services, there is no patient satisfaction survey regarding the telemedicine services provided.

Abstract

Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to a variety of health risks, especially about sexual promblems and reproductive health problems. The government develops adolenscent health programs in Indonesia by using the Adolenscent Friendly Health Service (PKPR) at the health care level. Adolescent health programs in 2019 at Magelang city has not achieved performance targets, so that it becomes attention to optimizing the PKPR program. This research is to find out cause the implementation of the PKPR program in Magelang Tengah health center which is not optimal with influencing factors. The method of research was qualitative with descriptive approach. The technique of collecting data was through in-depth interviews with subject sellection with purposive sampling criteria. Data analysis used content analysis. Analyzed variables were communication, resources, dispositions or attitudes, and bureaucratic structure. The results showed that implementation of PKPR in health center has not been optimal because have some constraints which influenced by several factors, such as the lack of communication between PKPR teams in coordinating scheduling activities, the understanding and clarity about PKPR program owned by officers was limited, the function of public service room in health center has not been optimal to provided service to adolescent, and monitoring and evaluation was limited. Therefore, it needs to communication and coordination was scheduled regularly so that has a good team management, and needs to monitoring and assessment of SNPKPR by Department of Health regularly in order to know the achievement and factors which influence the unoptimability of implementation PKPR program in the health center.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID−19 mengakibatkan capaian kinerja pelayanan kesehatan menurun, salah satunya adalah capaian pelayanan hipertensi. Puskesmas Mlati II merupakan puskesmas yang mengalami penurunan capaian pelayanan hipertensi secara drastis hingga 21,10%. Untuk menjaga kesinambungan upaya kesehatan, puskesmas melakukan adaptasi mekanisme pelayanan. Namun dalam pelaksanaanya puskesmas masih menghadapi banyak keterbatasan sehingga hasilnya belum optimal. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan pelayanan hipertensi pada era adaptasi kebiasaan baru dengan menganalisis aspek input dan proses. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan wawancara kepada subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada aspek input ditemukan kader belum memiliki pedoman pelaksanaan deteksi dini di masa adaptasi kebiasaan baru, kurangnya tenaga perawat dan jumlah thermo gun, tidak adanya media edukasi di puskesmas, dan penggunaan dana yang belum terserap dengan baik. Pada aspek proses menunjukkan bahwa deteksi dini pada era adaptasi kebiasaan baru terhambat karena pelaksanaan posbindu terhenti sementara, serta adanya ketakutan masyarakat untuk melakukan pemeriksaan ke puskesmas. Pelayanan hipertensi yang dilakukan oleh puskesmas pada era adaptasi kebiasaan baru belum optimal dikarenakan masih adanya kendala pada aspek input dan proses.

Abstract

Background: Post-partum health information is hardly accessible to pregnant women. In fact, post-partum health literacy for pregnant mothers in relation to socio-economic factors allows the decline of post-partum morbidities.Aim: This research aimed to analyse the post-partum health information literacy of pregnant women with middlelow social status.Method: This was a quantitative study by using a direct survey technique to assess respondents’ information literacy about post-partum health. There were 79 pregnant women to take part in this study. They only completed their high school degree as their highest educational level, and their family income was less than Rp 2,000,000($180) per month. This indicated that these participants are coming from middle-low social status. A selfdeveloped questionnaire was used in this study to be filled by respondents.Results: Results showed that nearly half of respondents (44.1%) found post-partum health information for their self-hygiene well-being after baby delivery process finished. Information accessed by pregnant women were elaborated from other people (66.1%) like as parents, relatives, colleagues, or health officers. Most of the participants agreed to trust captured information (78%), but there were only little use the information (11.9%).Conclusion: To summarize, the health information literacy of pregnant mothers with middle-low status was tenuously elaborated from other people, and most of them believed it. It is possible that information obtained from other people is incorrect, so pregnant mothers might use wrong information.Keywords: health, information literacy, post-partum, pregnant women

Abstract

Background: A Hospital Supervisory Agency was established to assist hospitals to maintain their service quality. However, not all provinces have an effective Hospital Supervisory Agency. One of the Hospital Supervisory Agency that have run properly is Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agency.Aim: This study analyzed the success factors of Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agency in implementing supervision and mentoring to hospitals in Yogyakarta according to the Indonesian Government Regulation Number 49 of 2013.Methods: This study employed a secriptive-qualitative approach and was conducted in Yogyakarta from January to June 2019. Data were collected with in-depth interview to informants chosen by purposive sampling technique.Results: Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agency could construct a mindset that hospitals will get benefits when partnering with them. Also, the members of Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agency had strong commitment and work ethic to create innovative strategies and networking to many related stakeholders in spite of low funds from Yogyakarta Provincial Health Office or Yogyakarta Government.Conclusion: The success factors of Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agency is determined by the high commitment of the members and well-built cooperation between Yogyakarta Provincial Hospital Supervisory Agencyand all hospitals in Yogyakarta.Keywords: Hospital Supervisory Board, success factors, mentoring, supervision.

Abstract

Background: The average of employee turnover rate in Surabaya Surgical Hospital was quite high roughly about 16.21% in 2011 until 2015. Employees’ negative behavior or feelings due to long exposure to an emotional stressor are called burnout syndrome which could trigger turnover in an organization.Aims: This study analyzed the effect of burnout syndrome towards turnover intention using organizational commitment as an intermediate variable.Methods: This study was cross-sectional research by involving 126 respondents as samples according to the proportion of each unit at Surabaya Surgical Hospital. Data were analysed statistically using multiple linier regression.Results: Respondents were mostly female (65.1%) and in the age group of 26-35 years (62.7%). Most of them were early adults, permanent employees (95.2%), and undergraduates (89.7%). While the minority have worked for 3 up to 4 years (40.5%). Burnout syndrome had a significant effect on employees’ organizational commitment. Organizational commitment showed a significant effect on turnover intention, while burnout syndrome did not show a significant effect on turnover intention.Conclusion: Burnout syndrome did not directly affect turnover intention but became a possible cause of turnover intention through organizational commitment as the intermediate variable. The results of this study could be the basis for hospital managers to decrease employee’s turnover intention by minimizing burnout syndrome and increasing organizational commitment with a better reward system. Keywords: burnout syndrome, organizational commitment, turnover intention, hospital.

Abstract

Background : Surabaya is one of the cities with low coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in East Java. The average rate of babies who got exclusive breastfeeding in Surabaya from 2012 to 2015 was 63.13% (target 80%). Decision about whether to breastfeed or not is a challenge for every mother, especially for working mothers. This research aimed to identify breastfeeding behavior among working mothers and housewives.Methods : This was descriptive observational research with prospective cohort study design.The sample size was 79 mothers in the eastern part of Surabaya chosen by purposive sampling technique.Results : Result showed that 56.6% of housewives have low knowledge on breastfeeding. Both working mothers (100%) and housewives (90.6%) already give colostrum right after baby born. However, There were 54.7% of housewives and 46.2% of working mothers already give formula milk during the first month after baby born.Conclusion : There were not much difference between working mothers and housewives in knowledge, feeding colostrum and skin to skin contact aspects. But, working mothers mostly give formula milk during the first month of baby born than housewives.
