Abstract

Cooling tower merupakan salah satu bagian terpenting dalam industri kimia. Untuk dapat menghasilkan air dingin perlu merubah air menjadi droplet dengan menggunakan fill plate. Saat Saat di aplikasikan pada cooling tower, fill plate akan mengalami beban tekan yang bervariasi. Simulasi dengan menggunakan finite element analysis, akan membantu menunjukkan perilaku fill plate saat beroperasi. Tujuan simulasi ini adalah untuk mengetahui perilaku fill plate saat beroperasi pada cooling tower. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan preprocessing, solution dan postprocessing dengan menggunakan material stainless steel AISI 202. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan gaya tekan 22 kN merupakan gaya tekan yang optimum pada fill plate. Hal tersebut menjadikan fill plate mengalami deformasi elastis dan masih aman untuk digunakan. Gaya tekan 40 kN akan menghasilkan deformasi plastis pada material fill plate. Selain itu, gaya tekan di atas 50 kN akan mengakibatkan material fill plate mengalami patah.

Abstract

This research discusses the hadith in Sahih Bukhari that narrates that one of the places of misfortune is women. Textually, this hadith is controversial as it is perceived to contain misogynistic suggestions conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The purpose of this research is to comprehensively understand the process of transmission and the scholars' interpretation of this hadith. Additionally, this research also attempts to interpret the hadith through the contemporary Fiqh al-Hadith methodology proposed by contemporary scholars. The researcher employs a qualitative inductive method, obtaining data and information by collecting classical Islamic texts, including those that specifically explain the related hadith as well as other relevant books. These include books on hadith terminology, hadith commentaries, hadith text, and hadith narrator studies, among others. This research finds that the Sahih Bukhari hadith number 5093 is of hasan quality. This hadith also has many corroborating and supporting narrations of better grades. Meanwhile, the meaning of misfortune contained in it, according to the majority of scholars, is attributed to women temporarily and not permanently. Misfortune is associated with women when they have bad character, infertility, and other non-permanent negative traits. In the mubadalah (reciprocal) method, misfortune is not only attributed to women but also to men, as men can also experience infertility, bad character, and other non-permanent negative traits.

Abstract

This research explores the important role of learning interest in increasing students' understanding of mathematical concepts, especially on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV). Using a quantitative approach and correlational survey method, this research analyzes the relationship between students' learning interest and their understanding of concepts. Data was collected from 94 grade 10 students at Al Falah Vocational School, South Jakarta. The research results show that students who have a high interest in learning have better understanding, with a correlation coefficient of 0.70 and a determination coefficient of 49%. These results show that almost half of the variation in students' SPLDV understanding can be explained by their learning interest. This research also emphasizes the need for innovative teaching methods to increase student engagement and understanding. Implications for educational strategies and future research directions are discussed.

Abstract

This study describes the manufacture of modified composites from recycled HDPE plastic waste and TKKS fibers. The comparison of matrix composition with TKKS fibers used is (70:30); (80:20) and (90:10) %. The mixing process of HDPE with OPEFB was carried out using the melt blending method and extruded to obtain composite pellets. Composite characterization obtained high tensile strength in HDPE composites: OPEFB ratio (70:30) % of 36.50 Mpa, while the tensile strength of HDPE: OPEFB ratio (80:20) and HDPE: OPEFB ratio (90:10) % were obtained respectively 23.50 MPa and 26.50 MPa. The results of the surface structure test with SEM showed that there was a bond between the HDPE matrix and TKKS fibers which was marked by a brittle fracture shape on the surface of the composite and the fibers were not uniformly broken. The impact test results of HDPE composite: OPEFB ratio (80:20) % have a high impact value of 0.363168 Joules. The FT-IR test results show deformation of C-H vibrations and pyranose C-O-C which are typical of OPEFB at wave numbers 1070.49 & 1151.50 cm- and intermolecular O-H bending in TKKS at wave numbers 3672.47 cm-. The TGA test results of HDPE composite: OPEFB ratio (70:30) and HDPE: TKKS (80:20) obtained degradation temperature values (Te) of 535.57ᴼC and 529.74ᴼC, respectively.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, science and technology are developing rapidly. One example of very popular technology is gadgets. Gadgets have a positive impact on children's thinking patterns, such as helping them regulate the tempo when playing, designing strategies in games, and improving right brain abilities. Notwithstanding these benefits, the use of gadgets can have detrimental effects on children's development, with a heightened impact on teenagers. The radiation produced by gadgets can damage a child's nerve tissue and brain if used too often. More importantly, children become less mobile and are rarely exposed to sunlight, which affects their physical health. As a result, children tend to become less interactive, less creative, and more comfortable being alone with their gadgets. This can trigger individualistic attitudes and reduce feelings of concern for parents, friends and other people around them, as well as their physical health. Physical education and sports carried out in the right proportions can make children fitter, so they can remain active and productive.

Abstract

This research implements an Internet of Things (IoT) based air quality monitoring system using fuzzy logic to provide real-time, accurate, and easily accessible information. The system integrates various gas sensors (MQ-7, MQ-135, MQ-131) and a particle sensor (Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F) connected to an ESP32 microcontroller. Collected air quality data, including CO, NO₂, O₃, and PM2.5 concentrations, is sent to a server and processed using a fuzzy inference system to generate an Air Quality Index (AQI) and its corresponding status. The data is then visualized on a web-based dashboard developed with CodeIgniter, featuring real-time graphs and tables, and also provides automated WhatsApp notifications to alert users about current air quality conditions. System testing confirms the accuracy and consistency of sensor readings, the proper functioning of the fuzzy logic processing, and the reliability of data transmission and notification features. This system offers an efficient solution for monitoring air quality, enhancing environmental awareness, and supporting preventive measures in the campus environment of Universitas Islam Syekh Yusuf and the wider community.

Abstract

This study focuses on examining the concept of religious pluralism as contained in Quraish Shihab's monumental work Tafsir Al-Misbah, with particular emphasis on the significance of his thinking in the contemporary Indonesian landscape. As is widely known, Indonesia is a nation with extraordinary diversity in terms of religion and culture, and it constantly faces the challenge of maintaining social cohesion amid the potential for friction between religious communities. Tafsir Al-Misbah presents a perspective that promotes inclusiveness towards religious pluralism, based on the fundamental universal principles contained in the Qur'an, such as justice, empathy, and respect for diversity. This study implements a qualitative methodology through content analysis techniques on relevant arguments in Tafsir Al-Misbah, particularly those related to interfaith interaction. The results of this study show that: First, Quraish Shihab emphasises the importance of understanding pluralism as sunnatullah (God's decree) and the basis for creating a mutually respectful society. Second, Quraish Shihab's contextual interpretation refers to Indonesia's experience as a multireligious nation.

Abstract

Tourism is a strategic sector in regional development. Agam Regency offers a variety of tourism potential, including natural, cultural, religious, and artificial attractions. However, information about these attractions is still fragmented and unintegrated. This study aims to identify the distribution of tourist attractions and design a WebGIS-based tourism information system. Primary data were collected through field observation and documentation, while secondary data were obtained from government agencies. Spatial data were processed using QGIS and ArcGIS, non-spatial data were stored in MySQL, and the system was developed using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and XAMPP. The results indicate that the system successfully displays interactive maps, provides detailed descriptive information, and is compatible across devices. The user feedback has been positive, indicating high satisfaction with the system. This WebGIS-based system proves to be an effective tool for tourism promotion and management, helping Agam Regency integrate its tourism potential and make it more accessible to tourists and stakeholders alike.

Abstract

Bawang merah merupakan salah satu komoditas hortikultura yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Produksi bawang merah masih kurang stabil dari tahun ke tahun disebabkan penggunaan benih yang bermutu rendah dan teknik budidaya yang belum maksimal. Salah satu teknik budidaya yang tepat adalah penggunaan dan cara aplikasi biokompos limbah kotoran sapi fermentasi Trichoderma harzianum yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon pertumbuhan dua varietas tanaman bawang merah terhadap beberapa cara aplikasi biokompos. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial dengan 2 faktor yaitu faktor varietas dan faktor cara aplikasi biokompos. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Varietas Bali Karet memiliki hasil terbaik pada variabel laju pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, sedangkan varietas Keta Monca menunjukkan hasil terbaik pada laju pertumbuhan jumlah daun, laju pertumbuhan jumlah anakan dan bobot brangkasan basah tanaman serta bobot brangkasan kering tanaman. Faktor cara aplikasi penyiraman biokompos pada 7 HST merupakan aplikasi terbaik pada variabel laju pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman sedangkan cara aplikasi penyiraman pada tanah merupakan aplikasi terbaik pada variabel laju pertumbuhan jumlah daun, laju pertumbuhan jumlah anakan dan bobot brangkasan basah dan kering.

Abstract

Biomaterial adalah material yang digunakan untuk mengganti struktur biologis yang hilang atau sakit. Material ini harus dapat diterima oleh tubuh. Salah satu biomaterial yang paling banyak digunakan untuk aplikasi bone plate adalah stainless steel 316L. Saat diaplikasikan pada tubuh pasien, material ini akan mendapatkan beban sejajar permukaan. Beban ini merupakan beban yang cukup dominan diterima oleh bone plate stainless steel 316L. Beban yang diterima bone plate stainless steel 316L akan berubah dan bervariasi. Sehingga perlu dilakukan simulasi tegangan degan memberikan gaya tekan pada bone plate stainless steel 316L. Simulasi tegangan dilakukan dengan menggambar dan menganalisis tegangan dengan menggunakan Autodesk Fusion 360. Selanjutnya material tersebut diberikan beban berupa static load mulai dari 150 N sampai 2300 N. Hasil analisis tegangan menunjukkan distribusi tegangan terdapat ditengah dan ujung bone plate. Regangan dan perubahan bentuk menunjukkan peningkatan seiring dengan kenaikan nilai tegangan. Gaya tekan 150 N sampai 600 N merupakan beban yang aman karena masih dibawah titik luluh 170 MPa. Gaya tekan 700 N sampai 2300 N merupakan beban yang tidak aman karena sudah melebihi titik luluhnya. Hal ini akan menyebabkan material mengalami deformasi plastis dan patah.
