Abstract

Normally to check Hatching Machines are carried out by checking temperature stability in Hatching Machine’s rooms, one by one. This way can cause temperature instability to become a problem in incubation process of eggs. As a sequence, those eggs fail to hatch. Solution to this problem is a controlling and monitoring system of Hatching Machine by using Xbee Tansmitter and Xbee Receiver. Xbee Transmitter is connected to the Arduino Uno ATMega328 located in the Hatching Machine. DHT22 Sensor detects temperature Hatching Machine. Xbee Receiver connected to other Arduino Uno ATMega328 on the user’s place. The testing of temperature monitoring is performed for two hours by eading and sending temperatures every 10 minutes. Two LEDs, such as Red LED and Green LED, are used as indicator. If temperature in Hatching Machine is less than 37,8°C, so Red LED is On and Green LED is off when desired temperature can not be reached. If temperature is between 37,8°C upto 38,7°C, Green LED is On and Red LED is Off to indicate the needed temperature can be achieved. If temperature is over 38,7°C, so Red LED will be On and Green LED will be Off to indicate that the temperature is too high. Abstract

With current technological developments, digital equipments have become our daily necessity, one example is an Android Smartphone. In an Android Smartphone device, there are features that can be used to share internet connection, namely Wifi Tethering. Tethering is a Wifi feature in an Android Smartphone that can be used as a mobile hotspot. In fact, the Wifi Tethering feature is still used seldom, because many users’ mobile device still, such as Android Smartphones and Tablet PCs, do not know this feature. These users only use private internet. Therefore, this study discuss using Wifi Tethering on an Android Smartphone. Focus of discussion is to determine one of Qos Parameter, such as Throughput Value, during tethering. This test uses the Wireshark application to monitor the download test process and capture test results. The index results obtained from the Value of Throughput, Delay, Packet Loss are 4 and based on the THIPON Standard it is included in the Very Good Category. For the index result of the jitter value is 3, and based on the THIPON standard it is in the good category.Keywords : Smartphone Android, Tethering, Troughput, Delay, Packet Loss, Jitter.

Abstract

Network quality is the ability of an enterprise data network management system to meet or exceed user expectations by providing the desired functionality or desired information in a reliable, predictable, repeatable, and timely manner. The registration unit at the Puskesmas is a place to register or record the patient data to receive the health services they need. In this case, the registration of the patient's name at the Puskesmas will be recorded in the Simpus, which has been bridged with BPJS Healthy, so that patient data can be easily known about their history of health services that have been received. The Quality of the network in the Puskesmas' registration unit is evaluated with the Quality of Service (QoS) parameter where the Axence Net Tools 5 was used to measure the performance of the Network Link in the Puskesmas. In addition, network monitoring is done to determine the delay. Delay is the length of time required by the data to transfer information. It can be affected by physical media distance, congestion, or length of processing time. The delay measurement can be calculated by knowing the total time of data sending, then divided by the total packets data received, which is the TIPHON version of the delay category. The result of the study found that network quality of bridging P-Care and Simpus by using QoS Parametric in Delay was categorized as bad with total number 469ms. This means that the delay occurs because of congestion that uses network services exceeding the capacity that can be received by a data communication line and attenuation, which weakens the signal due to long distances.Keyword: Parameter QoS, Standart TIPHONE, Delay

Abstract

Wireless network is a wireless network that uses air as a transmission medium with a medium in the form of electromagnetic waves. Cafe is a place to relax and talk for all ages (young people and parents) in addition to providing a comfortable place this café also provides wifi network that can be accessed by all café visitors who come. In the café that is an obstacle at this time is the internet connection available is unstable, resulting in visitors who are just logging into the wifi network experiencing difficulties and often long buffering. This is because there is no bandwdith division (bandwidth management) so that usage between users is uneven. To find out the quality of the existing network in the café, measurement of network quality uses Quality of Services (QoS) parameters. QoS is a method of measuring how good the quality of service of an existing network, the parameters used are the packet loss of three users during five days of testing. From the test results, the results of the qualification are obtained according to TIPHON standards, on the value of the first user packet loss to the third user with the highest value, namely on the third user on the third day by 4.02% in the good category and for the lowest value of 2.67% on the second user on the first day in the category is very good. For the average value of the highest packet loss value of 3.43% obtained on the second day with the third index in the Category Bagus, while the lowest packet loss average value of 3.09% is obtained on the first day with the third index included in the Category Good based on the TIPHON standard.Keyword: Wireless, Parameter QoS, Packet loss, TIPHON Standard.

Abstract

Nowdays traffic jam oftenoccurs at the crossroad of traffic light in Pekanbaru. It is caused by the increasing number of two-wheeled vehicles, four-wheeled vehicles, or more. Besides at the traffic light used are also still active based on the length of time that has been set by the system.it makes more of the long quene on that road, because the time needed for green lamp to be active at every intersection is same. Therefore, it is needed a controlling of traffic lights between can detect any traffic jam. This research makes anapplications of Smart Light Traffic(STL) control system between Tengku Bey street – Kaharudin Nasution street Pekanbaru, crowded uses LD Microsoftware. STL controllingsystem controls the functional length green lamp based on crowded a reading of the traffic light on the thirdcrossroads by proximity sensors. Traffic light active sequence is equal to clockwise traffic light will be actively started with red lamp, followed green lamp and yellow. For normal condition of STL, green lamp actives 20s, yellow lamp3s, and red lamp actives 49s.in peak condition of STL, green lamp actives longer 5s (be 25s), yellow lamp actives still 3s, and red lamp actives 59s. Abstract

Kampar is a regency in Riau Province which economic activities depend on fisheries. A problem that exists in Kampar’s fisheries is an imbalance in the amount of fish production with the amount of fish needed by the community. To help Kampar Fisheries Department employees to overcome these problems, a Java-based Information System and an Android-Based Information System will be created. To create the information system, Netbeans and Android Studio software with Java language are needed. The method used in this research is a waterfall where each stage of the research is carried out sequentially. The result of this research is an information system that provides specific data so that it can facilitate employees of the Kampar Fisheries Department employees to balance the amount of fish production with the amount of fish needed by the community.Keywords: Information System, Fish Production, Java, Kampar

Abstract

During the current pandemic, the education sector uses E-Learning as an online learning medium. One of the famous e-learning is Google Classroom. Because E-Learning is an online learning medium, a test is carried out with calculations using QoS parameters to see its performance and quality. Testing is done on the Wireshark application to see packet delay and uses the THYPON standard. Measurements are made when uploading assignments or subject matter and carried out by three clients for three days. to get the best network quality, the delay measurement results in packets must be less than 150ms. After testing, the third client obtained the best results on the third day, with the lowest delay reaching 9.88ms. At the same time, the highest delay is obtained on the second client on the first day. Therefore, it can be concluded from testing on three clients for three days that the Google Classroom E-learning has a very good network quality with an index of 4 on the TYPHON standard.Keywords: E-Learning, QoS, Delay dan Wireshark.

Abstract

All electrical power cannot be distributed properly to consumers due to the power losses that occur caused by technical and non-technical problems. The unbalance loads of distribution power system channel can happen caused by permanent conductive resistance. Good conductor should not have resistance value, but in reality every object has electrical resistance value. This conductive resistanve can cause the power losses besides it the condition of distribution network such as the length of the network often increased also it contribution to cause the power losses. The distribution network is more prone to disruption because the distribution of electricity to consumers is carried out continuously.Therefore it is necessary for the calculation of the power losses generated by the conductor. The calculation is carried out on a 20 kV distribution channel with a point to point calculation method. Total primary current has generated phase R is 78.25 A, phase S is 73. 5 A and phase T is 75.6 A. Total power losses that has generated feeder Sungkai is 3244.686 W. Total percentage power losses that generated feeder Sungkai is 6.5%.Keywords : power losses, unbalance load, primary distribution system

Abstract

Smart Home or Smart Home is a household control system that works and is controlled with the help of a computer, to integrate and control one or more household electronic devices automatically. With the aim of designing a prototype of a smart home control and monitoring system in the form of a prototype to control devices such as tv, fans, lights and website-based air conditioners that can be accessed using a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) which is expected to make it easier for users. The working system of this research is to simulate the control carried out by residents of the house by turning on or off electronic equipment using a smartphone as a tool to control Arduino as a microcontroller to give commands to the relay as a power regulator for electronic devices that are connected to an electrical connection. The Smarthome application will display the condition of the electronic device on or off. The advantage of the Smarthome application is that it does not require a webserver and internet network as a medium for sending data to Arduino for data storage media for electronic status on or off. After this research is completed, some conclusions can be drawn as follows: The test results of the circuit on the electronic device are successful. If the L1 button is pressed, L1 is on and the interface will turn red. If the L2 button is pressed, L2 is on and the interface will turn green. If the L3 button is pressed, L3 is on and the interface will turn yello. If the L4 button is pressed, L4 is on and the interface will turn blue.Keywords: Smart Home,WLAN, Arduino, webserver

Abstract

Currently scheduling courses at S1 Informatics Engineering University of Riau University is still done manually. Such a process requires a lot of accuracy and a lot of time, so there is a possibility of a clash of schedules which results in delays in the teaching and learning process. To overcome this, this study applies the Genetic Algorithm in the Course Scheduling System to shorten the time making schedule and help solve scheduling problems. Variables used include Lecturer Data, Room Data, Course Data, and Learning Hours Data. The output is Optimal Lecture Schedule without any restrictions that are not met. The testing of the system produces an optimal schedule and there is no clash in the 255th iteration when using 1000 iterations without the limitations of Room and Hours.Keywords : Algoritma Genetika, Penjadwalan Mata Kuliah, PHP, MySQL..
