Abstract

This research is motivated by the difficulties experienced by students in understanding gas kinetic theory material and the limitations of multimedia teaching materials possessed by teachers. The purpose of this study is to develop a physics-based e-module based on the Scientific Approach using 3D Professional Pageflipp on the gas kinetic theory material and to determine students' perceptions of the e-modules developed. This type of research is research and development using the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). This research only reached the Development stage. The resulting e-module serves as a source of student independent learning and teaching materials that can be used by students in the classroom in the learning process based on the Scientific Approach. The results of this study are e-module that were developed through a validation process by a team of experts and were declared eligible to be tested on students. From the results of testing the students' perception data it was concluded that this e-module is good for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine student perceptions of Student Worksheets in the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course. Using a mixed method research method between quantitative and qualitative methods and the type of research is explanatory sequential, which strengthens the results of quantitative data. The research subjects were 47 active students who had contracted the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course in the Physics Education study program at Jambi University. The research instrument was distributing student perception questionnaire sheets and lecturer interview sheets to students. The data analysis techniques used for the quantitative method are descriptive statistics and qualitative methods based on Miles & Huberman. The results obtained after conducting the research revealed that students were dominant in the excellent category for understanding the learning of the Introduction to Solid Substance Physics course on Student Worksheets, and following the results of interviews with lecturers, namely student responses were excellent and able to improve skills in the learning process. The introductory course in Solid Substance Physics is a limitation of this study, and the results obtained on the Student Worksheet are only for students of the Physics Education study program. Thus, further research can expand the subjects to be studied so that the results obtained are varied and good

Abstract

AbstractThe Flip PDF Professional-assisted e-module is a digital electronic module developed with the help of the Flip PDF application. This e-module can assist students in need of effective learning media. This research aims to develop an e-module according to the ADDIE model, test the feasibility of the e-module in terms of media and content, and evaluate students' assessments of the e-module. The research was conducted at a university in September for the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were obtained through content and media validation questionnaires and student response questionnaires. This research used a Research and Development (R&D) method, with the development model following ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). The sampling method used was Random Sampling, involving 62 Physics Education students from Jambi University. The results from content and media experts showed that the Quantum Physics e-module developed with the help of Flip PDF Professional is feasible for testing. The student response questionnaire showed good statistics. The content feasibility aspect received a score of 78.81%, language aspect 79.35%, usability aspect 78.96%, and graphical aspect 79.48%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Quantum Physics e-module product falls within the "good" category across various aspects.AbstrakE-modul berbantu Flip PDF Professiobal adalah modul elektronik yang dikembangkan dalam bentuk digital dengan bantuan aplikasi Flip PDF. E-modul ini dapat membantu siswa yang membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan e-modul sesuai model ADDIE, menguji kelayakan e-modul dari segi media dan materi, serta bagaimana penilaian mahasiswa terhadap e-modul. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Universitas pada bulan September tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Data diperoleh melalui angket validasi materi dan media serta angket respon mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate). Metode pengambilan sampel adalah Random Sampling dengan 62 mahasiswa Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil ahli materi dan ahli media menunjukkan bahwa E-modul Fisika Kuantum yang dikembangkan dengan bantuan Flip PDF Professional layak untuk diuji coba. Hasil angket respon mahasiswa menunjukkan statistika yang baik. Aspek kelayakan isi memiliki persentase 78.81%, aspek kebahasaan 79.35%, aspek kemanfaatan 78.96%, dan aspek kegrafikan 79.48%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa produk e-modul Fisika Kuantum berada dalam kategori baik dari beberapa aspek.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential in physics education, particularly in understanding abstract concepts like wave functions in quantum mechanics. However, traditional teaching methods often fail to foster these skills effectively. This study explores the use of an interactive e-module titled Quantum Physics: Wave Function to enhance critical thinking skills among students in a physics education program. A quasi-experimental design was employed with an experimental group using the e-module and a control group following conventional methods. Pretest and posttest results showed a significant improvement in critical thinking skills for the experimental group (average increase: 26.30) compared to the control group (average increase: 11.70). Statistical analysis confirmed the e-module's effectiveness (t = 2.95, p = 0.01). The e-module fostered active participation, problem-solving, and independent exploration, demonstrating its potential to improve critical thinking and engagement in complex physics topics. These findings highlight the value of integrating technology into physics education to enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study, conducted in response to the shortcomings of the digital learning system in facilitating the Physics learning process with the project based learning model. So the purpose of this study is to develop a Teacher Tools Assistance System  website as an answer to this problem. This study adopts the RnD method with the ADDIE model development framework focused on three stages, namely analysis, design, and development. The analysis stage examines the curriculum and learning environment. At the design stage, a prototype of the Teacher Tools Assistance System website is produced which is then tested at the development stage. The development stage is carried out with various tests, namely the Black-Box test, installation/launch, validation by media experts and material experts, and user responses involving 58 students of SMAN 3 Kota Jambi class XI. As a result, in the Black Box test, the website functionality achieved 100% on the teacher's page and 96% on the student's page. In the media expert validation, the score given was 4.44, which was categorized as very feasible. While the validation by material experts 1 and 2 rated it 4.50 and 4.47, categorizing it as very feasible category. In addition, the response from users gave a score of 4.20 in the category of worthy of the product. However, there are still shortcomings including the appearance of the website, website navigation that is not yet user friendly, and the emergence of bugs.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman guru tentang potensi artifisial intelligence dalam pendidikan serta memberikan keterampilan praktis dalam menggunakan alat dan sumber daya artifisial intelligence dalam perencanaan pembelajaran. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan sebanyak empat tahapan antara lain persiapan dan perencanaan, pelaksanaan pelatihan, evaluasi pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan serta refleksi. Peserta pelatihan adalah guru-guru SMA di Kabupaten Batanghari. Hasil pretest menunjukkan bahwa para guru telah mengenal pemanfaatan artifisial intelligence dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, keberminatan untuk menggunakan artifisial intelligence, dan masih belum dapat untuk mempelajari pemanfaatan AI. Hasil posttest menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas para guru telah telah mengetahui pemanfaatan peggunaan AI, cara penggunaan AI secara praktik, dan sangat berminat dalam mengimplementasikan AI dalam perencanaan pembelajaran. Dengan demikin pelatihan ini mampu untuk memberikan pemahaman guru dan mengimplementasi pemanfaatan AI dalam merancang perencanaan pembelajaran yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru agar relevan dengan era saat ini.

Abstract

Defects in bone tissue represent a significant health concern and continue to pose challenges in clinical surgery. The fabrication of scaffolds from hydroxyapatite (HAp) can support bone regeneration. However, producing HAp scaffolds with ideal pore structures for effective bone tissue engineering remains difficult. In recent decades, many studies have attempted to enhance HAp scaffolds by incorporating polymeric materials to address their limitations. In this study, corn starch was used as a pore-forming agent, and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) served as a binder and pore size regulator. The scaffolds were fabricated using the freeze-drying method, which offers the advantage of forming porous structures while maintaining scaffold integrity. This study investigated the effects of varying PVA additions which 3 wt%, 7 wt%, and 10 wt%. XRD analysis showed that the diffraction peaks of all samples corresponded to the HAp phase, displayed β-TCP peaks, and a crystal size with values ranging from 0.96 nm to 11.77 nm.  SEM analysis showed that the HAp-7 scaffold has the largest pore size distribution range of about 1.19 µm to 11.77 µm.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tetang green synthesis nanopartikel berbasis pasir besi Sungai Batanghari dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak daun pandan (Pandanus Amaryllifolius). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variasi konsentrsi ekstrak daun pandan terhadap nanopartikel Fe3O4. Uji karakterisasi yang lakukan adalah uji XRD dan uji UV-Vis. Hasil analisis  uji XRD menunjukan bahwa pola difraksi 2θ yang terletak pada sampel berturut-turut Fe3O4 , NP1, NP2, NP3, yaitu pada  35,51˚; 35,41˚; 35,49˚; dan 35,53˚ dengan bidang kristal (311). Ukuran kristal berturut-turut 13,83 nm; 26,80 nm; 13,86 nm; dan 25,30 nm. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pada sampel NP1 dan sampel NP2 memiliki ukuran kristal lebih besar dibandingkan dengan sampel NP2. Nilai dari sampel NP2 hampir sama dengan ukuran kristal dari Fe3O4 tanpa tambahan ekstrak. Berdasarkan uji karakterisasi UV-Vis nanopartikel Fe3O4 menunjukan energy gap (Eg) yang elalui metode touc plot. Dengan nilai direct badgap berturut-turut 4,2 eV;  4,8 eV; dan 4,4 eV untuk sampel Fe3O4 , NP1, NP3 . Nilai indirect bandgap berturut-turut 3,9 eV; 4,1 eV; dan 3.7 eV untuk sampel Fe3O4 , NP1, NP3.
