Abstract

The activity of online bussiness by utilizing both social media and instant messenger was a trend in society. Wide range of products are on offer ranging from apparel, handbags, veils, food, home furnishings, and other service offerings. One of instant messenger that is often used to do this online business is the blackberry messenger (BBM). This application provides a variety of services that can be used as a medium for sales promotion including broadcast message, group, and display picture. This study aimed to determine the effect of sales promotion via broadcast message frequency, group information frequency, and display picture frequency promotional messages to an attitude of acceptance. The rational used in CMC theory (computer mediated communication) and S-O-R theory. This type of research is explanatory study. This study used a non-probability sampling technique was purposive sampling method in determining the sample of 40 respondents who met the criteria that 14-35 year-old audience that uses fuel applications, online sellers have contacts on BBM contacts, join a group of buying and selling in fuel and domicile anywhere. The data analysis used is multiple linear regressions with the help of SPSS. Based on the results of statistical calculations showed the signification of variables simultan is 0,018 where the results do show a value smaller than the 0.05 limit, which means that the sales promotion via broadcast message, group and display picture on blackberry messenger affect the acceptance of promotional messages.

Abstract

Skripsi ini melihat bagaimana sikap media dalam majalah Hijabella yang ada pada setiap informasi mengenai fenomena perkembangan hijab. Skripsi ini menggunakan tipe penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Tujuan skripsi ini adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana sikap majalah Hijabella dan Republika mengenai fenomena perkembangan hijab. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Agenda Setting sebagai dasar kategorisasi sikap media. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh informasi dalam majalah Hijabella edisi Juli hingga Oktober 2014 dipilih informasi yang memuat tentang hijab menggunakan teknik sampel sembarang. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji reliabilitas antarkoder.Hasil uji reliabilitas antar koder diperoleh temuan penelitian menunjukan sikap majalah Hijabella, dari 10 informasi menunjukkan adanya sikap media pada majalah Hijabella. Berdasarkan kategorisasi yang meliputi ukuran informasi, halaman penempatan informasi, pengulasan isi, bentuk informasi, data pendukung, cover both side, penulisan judul, pengungkapan isi, penulisan narasumber, penyebutan aribut penggunaan hijab, dan sudut pandang. Jadi, dalam penelitian tentang analisis isi sikap majalah Hijabella mengenai fenomena perkembangan hijab dapat disimpulkan bahwa Hijabella memiliki sikap media yang memihak. Memihak memiliki pengertian bahwa media dalam menampilkan isi informasi atau penyebutan narasumber dengan satu pihak.

Abstract

Joko Widodo (Jokowi) adalah presiden pertama yang mendapat penghargaan MURI, sebagai satu-satunya presiden yang mendapat syukuran terakbar dari rakyat. Sejak kemunculannya, sosok Jokowi selalu menarik perhatian publik, tidak terkecuali dengan isu-isu sensasional di masa seratus hari pertaman pemerintahannya. Polemik pemilihan Kapolri Budi Gunawan adalah salah satu kasus yang berhasil membuat situasi politik di Indonesia menjadi memanas. Kasus ini menuntut pembuktian eksistensi Jokowi sebagai pemimpin. Sikap yang ditempuh oleh Presiden Jokowi pada akhirnya akan menciptakan citranya di kalangan masyarakat.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji citra Presiden Jokowi dalam frame yang dikembangkan oleh media khususnya harian Koran Tempo dan Media Indonesia dalam kasus polemik pemilihan Kapolri yang terjadi pada 14 Januari- 20 Februari 2015 dalam membangun citra Presiden Joko Widodo di mata publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruksionis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan analisis framing Zhondang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki dengan perangkat framing yang dapat dibagi kedalam empat struktur besar, yaitu sintaksis, skrip, tematik dan retoris.Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pemberitaan yang disajikan oleh Koran Tempo mengenai Presiden Jokowi rata-rata menyudutkan Presiden Jokowi. Struktur sintaksis dan retoris Koran Tempo didominasi oleh berita-berita negatif yang menggambarkan bahwa Presiden Jokowi dipengaruhi kepentingan partai dalam menyelesaikan kasus pemilihan Budi Gunawan. Dalam menyiapkan materi konstruksinya, Koran Tempo cenderung menggunakan model bad news sehingga citra yang dimunculkan cenderung merugikan Presiden Jokowi. Sedangkan Media Indonesia, Presiden Jokowi digambarkan secara positif. Secara umum struktur sintaksis dan skrip di isi dengan pemberitaan positif terkait langkah Presiden Jokowi dalam menyelesaikan polemik pemilihan Kapolri. Media Indonesia cenderung menggunakan good news dalam membentuk citra Presiden Jokowi. Sehingga citra yang dimunculkan Media Indonesia cenderung menguntungkan Presiden Jokowi.

Abstract

Father's dominance in the family and parenting spheres often leads to conflicts as violence, oppression, and even trauma due to an imbalance roles between fathers and mothers. The issue of fatherhood also appears in the film NKCTHI as a representation of the social reality brought by the filmmakers. With the reception study, the researcher focuses on the interaction between the Z generation audience and the texts that appear in the media so that a picture emerges of how the media is able to influence or not influence the audience in defining the social reality related to fatherhood that appears in the film. Based on these problems, this study aims to determine the position of the audience's reception of the representation of fatherhood in the film Later Kita Stories About Today based on the three positions of Hall's meaning, namely : dominant reading, negotiation reading, and oppositional reading. This study uses a critical paradigm with Stuart Hall's encoding-decoding theory, muted groups, and libertarian radical feminism. There are 6 scenes chosen to see the meaning, such as: (1) Father's attitude in making decisions, (2) Father's communication with his partner, (3) Father's protection efforts, (4) Father's protective attitude, (5) Domestic activities carried out Father, (6) The attitude of the father in explaining to his child. The results showed that the audience's meaning was influenced by various factors such as family conditions, gender identity, consumption of other media, knowledge related to gender, the context of the scene in the film, and personal opinions regarding the social conditions. Although the meanings appear in various receptions, the results of the study show that the majority of informants are still in a dominant position. All male informants and 1 female informant are mostly in dominant positions, while the other two female informants are mostly in negotiating and opposition positions. The reception of informants is still influenced by patriarchal ideology and masculine ways of thinking in interpreting fatherhood in the film. Although there are also feminine thoughts and awareness of gender roles in some scenes, their receptions do not completely leave the patriarchal mindset.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan waktu, media dalam bentuk radio mulai banyak ditinggalkan. Saat ini banyak yang lebih memilih menggunakan media televisi atau media-media baru lainnya. Radio cenderung ditinggalkan karena para pendengarnya tidak dapat melihat bentuk visualnya. Namun tidak serta merta radio ditinggalkan begitu saja. Radio sendiri memiliki fungsi dan kegunaan yang unik serta tetap memiliki pendengarnya sendiri.Menyadari adanya perkembangan pada media, radio juga harus melakukan sebuah inovasi agar tidak ditinggalkan para pendengarnya dan tetap menjadi sebuah media yang memiliki banyak fungsi. Dan dengan lahirnya ide-ide baru atau inovasi dalam program radio membuat penulis menciptakan sebuah program dalam bentuk talkshow yang berbentuk hiburan serta informatif. Melalui kerjasama dengan radio IBC FM penulis menuangkan segala ide kreatif untuk lahirnya sebuah program baru yang inovatif serta segar. Dengan menghadirkan nara sumber yang berbeda setiap minggunya membuat program talkshow ini menjadi lebih menarik.Adapun tugas yang dilaksanakan selama pengerjaan program radio Wedangan ini yaitu sebagai creative director. Creative director disini bertugas mengonsep secara keseluruhan program ini. Selain itu, membuat script mulai dari script siar, script iklan, hingga script promo merupakan tugas dan tanggung jawab creative. Tidak hanya itu, dalam membuat design poster mingguan dan melakukan promosi di media sosial juga menjadi tugas creative director. Dengan mengolah sebuah data yang diberikan oleh produser menjadi menarik adalah sebuah tugas yang berat dan bagaimana menjadikan sebuah program ini menjadi program yang menarik dan berbeda dengan program lainnya.Meskipun begitu ada pula beberapa hambatan yang dialami seperti kesiapan dalam membuat script, atau dalam menentukan angle yang akan diangkat menjadi tema besar, maupun topik yang keluar dari yang telah ditentukan. Namun, hambatan serta kesulitan seperti yang di jabarkan diatas, dapat diatasi dan tetap berjalan dengan baik.Selanjutnya, dalam hal pencapaian target pendengar program talkshow Wedangan, ternyata mampu menaikkan jumlah pendengar hingga 50 % dari target awal yaitu menaikkan jumlah pendengar sebesar 35%. Hasil ini didapatkan setelah melakukan survei setelah program berakhir. Meskipun begitu masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan dalam program talkshow ini, seperti kesiapan dalam pra- produksi hingga budgeting. Hal tersebut perlu diperbaiki agar program talkshow Wedangan dapat menjadi program yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Memasuki era media baru, konsumen media cenderung mencari berita yangterfokus pada apa yang mereka butuhkan. Begitu pula dalam sebuah lembagaorganisasi, berbagai website resmi disediakan untuk mengakses berita mengenailembaga tersebut.Menyadari tidak adanya website yang memberitakan mengenai bidangjurnalistik di Semarang, maka dibuatlah website berita www.seputarpewarta.com.Bekerjasama dengan Aliansi Jurnalis Independen (AJI) Semarang, selama satubulan website ini secara terus menerus memberitakan isu seputar jurnalistik,kegiatan dan profil jurnalis. Penyebaran informasi mengenai website jugadilakukan dengan memanfaatkan media sosial seperti facebook, twitter, danofficial line.Beberapa tugas yang dilaksanakan selama pengerjaan website ini diantaranya adalah reporter, fotografer, editor, dan desainer grafis. Sebagaireporter, tugas yang dilaksanakan yakni melakukan liputan serta menulis naskah,dan sebagai fotografer pengambilan gambar juga dilakukan saat liputan.Sedangkan sebagai editor, yang dilakukan adalah mengedit naskah berita yangtelah ditulis oleh reporter lainnya. Dan sebagai designer grafis kegiatanmenggunggah berita ke website “Seputar Pewarta” kemudian mempromosikannyake media sosial juga dilakukan.Meskipun begitu ada pula beberapa hambatan yang dialami sepertikualitas foto yang diupload, kesalahan dalam penulisan, hingga kesulitan dalampengaturan jadwal wawancara dengan narasumber. Namun, secara keseluruhanhambatan tersebut bisa diatasi.Selanjutnya, dari hasil perhitungan setelah pelaksanan, sebanyak 40 beritatelah diunggah dan meraih total 14.489 pageviews. Hasil tersebut didapat dari tigakonten yang ada pada website “Seputar Pewarta”, yakni konten berita, artikel, dansosok. Meskipun begitu masih terdapat beberapa kekurangan dalam website,seperti kualitas tulisan berita, tampilan website serta publikasi. Hal tersebut perludiperbaiki agar website “Seputar Pewarta” menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

At the Jakarta governor election in 2017, racial issues was predicted to be a topic that will following Basuki Tjahaja Purnama in his candidacy for governor. That issue can not be separated from the role of the mass media to influence public opinion. Due to the influence, media are required to always objective in conveying information to the public. This research is descriptive research with quantitative content analysis method. The purpose of this study was to determine the tendency of the news in two national newspapers, namely, Kompas and Republika regarding nomination Tjahaja Basuki Purnama as Jakarta governor in the elections in 2017. This can be seen in the presentation of news, news direction, and factuality balance in their news reporting. Researchers make coding sheet from two coders the results are used to calculate reliability. Judging from the content categories of news, from the results of the analysis unit, the tendency of news about the nomination Basuki Purnama Tjahaja in Kompas daily more neutral, whereas the negative trend in the Republika daily news about Tjahaja Basuki Purnama. By results of different test by using chi square formula no significant difference between both media, it is because the number of samples studied is not too much and both these media has the same characteristics.

Abstract

Starting from human resources that competent in Rumah Kartini Community capable of managing the website www.rumahkartini.com regularly and in accordance with the rules of journalism, the author wants to develop human resources and managing the website www.rumahkartini.com under the Rumah Kartini continued and to be able to manage well in accordance with the community's vision and mission. In the paper the author this field served as a Reporter and Editor. The reporter in charge of finding and writing the news. The editor in charge of news texts edited before uploading into the website and selecting the news that will be uploaded. The results of the development of human resources in this community they are able to continue manage website with good information and renew frequently. The results of the management of www.rumahkartini.com for one month is uploading the article as much as 31 and the number of visitors 4,334 as much as the minimum target of 1500 visitors. And able to manage 4 sections namely Tempo Doeloe, Discovery, Kulineran and Event.

Abstract

In reality, there are various forms of family. Unfortunately, society has not been able to appreciate the diversity of family forms. In fact, children raised by single parents, such as single mothers, are bullied due to their parents' divorce. This research aims to understand the experience of single-parent communication assistance to child survivors of bullying. This research uses a descriptive phenomenological approach, with four informants participating in the study. The four informants are single mothers and have children who have experienced bullying due to their parents' divorce. The theory developed in this research is a theory that explains dialogic communication, namely Dialogic Communication Theory, and a theory that explains relationship maintenance or Relationship Maintenance Theory. Based on the findings in the study, Speech Act Theory was added. Through this research, we can understand that communication assistance by single mothers is carried out with various efforts, not only by words but also by taking concrete actions, such as maintaining emotions when interacting with children, listening to children carefully, providing advice and direction, utilizing applications chat, as well as the role of other family members in giving attention. Single mothers also offer communication assistance by strengthening their children and not becoming authoritarian parents. Single mothers provide confidence to their children to grow selfconfidence. Communication assistance makes the child grow up more confident, independent, not easily giving up, and able to better understand the situation. Thus, the communication assistance carried out by single mothers is an integration of giving attention, strengthening, and trusting.

Abstract

Due to their adaptability and the capacity of technology to integrate aspects of human life, technological advancements and developments, particularly in the fields of telecommunications, information, and multimedia, have a significant impact on adaptations in social relationships. The number of Indonesians who utilize the internet is steadily increasing. Due to the high mobility of humans, the commercial world places high value on the provision of goods and services and goods on demand and in a timely basis. Consumers now have the option of participating in convenient and cost-effective e-commerce. Numerous e-commerce platforms exist today. The platform is expansive and reaches all populations. The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between Shopee’s brand awareness, brand association and perceived quality towards Shopee’s customers satisfaction among Indonesian Young-adults both partially and simultaneously. This research explains the findings of research contributing to Aaker and Keller's theory of brand equity. The primary population for this research is young adults aged 15 to 24 years old from throughout Indonesia, with a total of 100 respondents. The analysist tool used in this research is Kendall Tau_b Correlation Test to calculate ordinally ranked-data. The result of the study explained that Shopee’s brand awareness, brand association and perceived quality have a significant effect partially and simultaneously to customers satisfaction. Therefore, the result shows that brand awareness has a moderate and positive relationship, meanwhile brand association and perceived quality has a strong and positive relationship with customers satisfaction. This research 's result may be incorporated into the marketing strategies of companies and interested parties for maintaining and maximizing Brand Awareness, Brand Association, and Perceived Quality in order to have a good significant effect on potential customers, which can lead to Customer Satisfaction.
