Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work life balance on employee performance through organizational commitment. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 50 employees of PT. X Surabaya. Data were collected using a questionnaire measured with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used was Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that work life balance has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, work life balance has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, organizational commitment also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and organizational commitment was not able to mediate the relationship between work life balance and employee performance. These findings indicate that employee performance is more directly influenced by work life balance than through organizational commitment, and this study is expected to provide insights for companies in developing policies to improve employee performance.

Abstract

Sustainable social entrepreneurship integrates entrepreneurial strategies with a commitment to social and environmental objectives. This study identifies two major issues based on interviews with partners at the Thai Global Business Administration Technological College (TGBC), Thailand. Although TGBC students demonstrate strong entrepreneurial potential and innovative ideas, their understanding of sustainable social entrepreneurship and experience in implementing sustainable social business practices remain limited. To address these gaps, an integrated training program was designed to enhance conceptual understanding and practical business skills through four stages: preparation, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Participants reported high satisfaction with the program’s facilities—including training venues, equipment quality, internet access, cleanliness, and learning materials—and with the training process, particularly the clarity of materials, expertise of facilitators, adequacy of training duration, and responsiveness of organizers (92%). Post-training evaluations indicated improved comprehension of social entrepreneurship, competence in applying the Sustainability Business Model Canvas (SBMC), and increased confidence and motivation (92%). Furthermore, most participants perceived the program as beneficial for both career and academic development (96.4%). These findings highlight the importance of structured, experiential learning in fostering sustainable social entrepreneurship among students. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work motivation and work environment on job satisfaction of non-production division employees at PT XYZ. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey design, involving 113 respondents selected through a simple random sampling method. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26. The results of the study indicate that work motivation and work environment have a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. This indicates that employees with a high level of work motivation and supported by a comfortable, safe, and supportive work environment tend to have a better level of job satisfaction. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of the role of management in designing human resource policies oriented towards increasing work motivation, such as providing rewards, career development opportunities, and performance recognition, as well as creating a conducive work environment physically and psychosocially. By considering these two factors in an integrated manner, the company is expected to be able to increase employee job satisfaction which can ultimately have an impact on improving performance, loyalty, and organizational sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of work-family conflict and non-physical work environment on fluctuations in employee performance, providing strategic insights for a public utility company in the clean water sector to optimize its human resource management. This research offers additional insights by illustrating how highly harmonious horizontal relationships may unexpectedly reduce individual independence by leading individuals to rely on peer assistance. The approach used in this study is quantitative, with saturated sampling, so the entire population of 74 people was used as respondents. Primary data were collected via structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS version 25. The findings of this study indicate that work-family conflict has a significant negative impact on employee performance, suggesting that higher levels of role conflict are associated with a decline in professional output. In contrast, the non-physical work environment has a significant positive impact on employee performance, indicating that harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective internal communication are vital drivers of productivity. The implications of this study emphasise the importance of stress management to prevent work-family conflict, as well as improving communication and work relationships to support employee performance.
