Abstract

STEM education has received considerable attention in recent years. However, developing valid and reliable assessments in interdisciplinary learning in STEM has been a challenge. Therefore, many students ranging from junior high school to university students are only familiar with the Internet of Things (IoT) from social media but do not know its concept and function in STEM learning. This is also supported by the absence of educational applications about IoT. This research aims to introduce IoT by using mobile applications. This research refers to the multimedia development method according. The data collection method in this study was carried out by means of observation and interviews randomly to high school students to university students. This data collection was carried out using the experimental method of application testing to analyze user needs from several aspects such as features, images, and fonts. This research is also supported by the existence of literature studies derived from several journals. The results show that the functions in the application can operate as expected. Based on the survey results of the application, 75.37% of respondents rated this application in the very good category and gave positive responses so that this application could be well received by users

Abstract

The CV. UD. Rejeb Ngalah is a company based in Nongkojajar. Rejeb Ngalah owns two SMEs that are developing and are kept for both SMEs. SMEs that are shaded by Rejeb Ngalah are Warnakarsa and Pesendaun located in Malang. This research is based on the researcher's desire to have and change for the better in society and to have a significant influence for better business processes than before. And we chose UD Rejeb Ngalah as a place of research because it had several problems experienced and it made the researchers intend to improve the processes in it. The main problem with Rejeb Ngalah is that between UKM Warnakarsa and Pesendaun, production and administrative activities are currently still carried out in different places and there are often misunderstandings among employees who handle administrative activities at Rejeb Ngalah because there is no warehouse information system for goods so that employees sometimes incorrectly inputting item data and causing the job-desk not to be properly organized as it should be. Because of the digital revolution, if a company wants to improve operations, it must develop new, more efficient business models [1]. Therefore, this research was conducted to develop an information storage system at UD. REJEB NGALAH to make it easier for employees to record goods, clarify the SOP of each employee and all administrative activities can be well organized. The research uses the prototyping method because it will be very effective if the client does not know what the website will actually be like. And at the wireframe/prototyping stage we can present what kind of website description is suitable for clients. The prototyping method can connect directly between developers and users with prototypes that have been designed before being implemented into coding so that the functionality of the system can be clearly described from the prototype [3]. It is certainly more effective for developers not to need to do coding before the user fits the system that has been described through the prototype.

Abstract

Personnel information system is an application system that contains information from the staffing structure within a company. At PT. XYZ there are a problem regarding the personnel information system in the form of an attendance system, work target reports, and submission of payslips which were still manual. So that reporting from companies to employees is less effective and tends to be less transparent. Of the problems faced by PT. XYZ, an application based on Android mobile apps was created which has three main features, that is: attendance, reporting of daily work targets, and reporting of payslips. All of these features are listed in one application called "Japris App" which is designed using the Flutter platform and using Dart programming language.  In developing this application, the Wizard-of-Oz testing method was used by using the Maze testing system which obtained a final score of 73 out of a total score of 100, with 4 testers with 5 test paths. The purpose of making this application is to simplify and increase the effectiveness of the company's personnel information system

Abstract

Rekayasa ulang sistem merupakan langkah untuk menguji sejauh mana kinerja sebuah sistem mampu memenuhi kebutuhan dan beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan bisnis. CV.AGROBAS merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pertanian. CV.AGROBAS perlu menata ulang sistem karena menyadari bahwa proses pelaporan sertifikasi yang dilakukan sudah tidak sesuai lagi dengan perkembangan teknologi saat ini, dan juga karena jumlah sertifikasi yang harus dilakukan untuk mencapai Standar Nasional Pertanian Indonesia semakin banyak. Selama ini agen lapangan harus melaporkan informasi sertifikasi ke kantor, namun saat ini proses tersebut dinilai kurang efektif. Salah satu solusi yang diambil adalah menerapkan business process reengineering (BPR) dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi kedalam bisnis, sebuah konsep yang bertujuan untuk memodifikasi proses bisnis yang memiliki kelemahan agar dapat meningkatkan efisiensinya. Penelitian ini diawali dengan mengumpulkan referensi yang berkaitan dengan business process reengineering. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi permasalahan, wawancara dengan pihak CV. AGROBAS, dan studi literatur yang relevan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian efisiensi throughput dan analisis proses dengan mengacu pada standar ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). Pada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa laporan sertifikasi memiliki nilai efisiensi sebesar 66,93%, namun pada saat dilakukan re-engineering didapatkan 11 proses yang dieliminasi dan 14 proses yang diotomatisasi secara online. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan adalah nilai efisiensi sebesar 95,40% setelah melakukan Business Process Reengineering. Dan menghasilkan sebuah system informasi yang dapat mendukung kegiatan laporan sertifikasi CV.AGROBAS

Abstract

The development of software necessitates the selection of appropriate methodologies to ensure effectiveness and quality. This research aims to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the Big Bang and Waterfall methodologies through the analysis of diverse case studies. The Big Bang approach allows teams to begin work swiftly without detailed initial planning, yet it often results in products with inconsistent quality and susceptibility to bugs. Conversely, the Waterfall method provides a structured, sequential approach but lacks flexibility in accommodating changes. Choosing the right methodology should be tailored to meet the specific needs and characteristics of each project. It is essential for professionals to have a comprehensive understanding of each methodology to increase the likelihood of success in software development. This study lays a robust foundation for future advancements, emphasizing the importance of empirical research and exploring hybrid approaches.

Abstract

Every company that has employees who sare not gathered in one place must want speed and efficiency for good information exchange. To elevate quality of company management, it is essential to understand the shortcomings of the employees management. Pelita Mas Otobus Company is a bus company based in Malang City, East Java, which conducts its management system still running conventionally. This has shortcomings in terms of efficiency and accuracy of data on information exchange between employees. From the existing issue, it is important to redesign the business processes at Pelita Mas Bus Company by applying BPR (Business Process Reengineering). BPR is a strategy aimed at redesigning deficient business processes to improve their efficiency. The research begins with data collection, involving observations, process identification, case studies, interviews with Pelita Mas Bus Company, and relevant literature review. Mapping a business process using the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standard process map. Utilizing the ASME standard process map, the business process performance is assessed through the throughput efficiency test. Subsequently, the focus shifts towards enhancing and refining the business process redesign to make it more efficient. The ultimate outcome of this study is the redesign of the business process

Abstract

This study compares two popular methods in software development, Scrum and the incremental model. Scrum, as part of Agile, emphasizes short iterations (sprints) and intense team collaboration to deliver usable products incrementally. In contrast, the incremental model focuses on developing software gradually, where each stage produces a portion of the system's functionality that will eventually be integrated into a complete product. This comparative analysis explores the fundamental principles, processes, outputs, team collaboration, strengths, and weaknesses of both methods. The findings indicate that Scrum is suitable for projects with changing requirements and well-coordinated teams, while the incremental model is more appropriate for projects with more stable requirements and teams that require flexibility in tailoring the process. A deep understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each method can aid in making informed decisions for effective, efficient, project-tailored software development endeavors, thereby enhancing the chances of success, stakeholder satisfaction, and competitiveness in today's dynamic business environment. Abstract

Abstract In software development, the project management method employed has a significant impact on the final outcome and the efficiency of the process. The most prevalent methods in software development are Scrum and waterfall. Each method possesses distinctive advantages and disadvantages. The Scrum method is renowned for its flexibility in organizing changes as the software development process progresses. In contrast, the waterfall method employs a linear and structured approach to software development. The methodology employed in this research entails a qualitative approach to gain a deeper understanding of the Scrum and waterfall methods through a literature review and comparative analysis. Through the literature review and comparative analysis conducted, the author can explore more profound insights into the implementation and effectiveness of the Scrum and waterfall methods. The findings of this research indicate that the selection of an appropriate software development methodology should be based on the specific characteristics of the project in question, the needs of the users, the capabilities of the development team, and an evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of each method. Abstract

Kemajuan dalam ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi mendorong adaptasi terhadap pemanfaatan teknologi di berbagai sektor, seperti komunikasi, pendidikan, dan informasi. Terutama dalam konteks teknologi pendidikan, dapat diamati bahwa pembelajaran online sedang mendapatkan popularitas yang signifikan di berbagai lembaga pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mengeksplorasi seberapa baik peserta didik dapat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan pembelajaran online. Memprediksi tingkat adaptasi peserta didik memiliki signifikansi yang besar bagi pendidik dan pengembang platform pembelajaran online, dengan tujuan meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pengalaman belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan dataset “Students Adaptability Level in Online Education” dengan menerapkan pendekatan Algoritma Decision Tree. Hasil penelitian memperoleh akurasi sebesar 95%, meningkat 7,44% dari penelitian sebelumnya yang hanya memperoleh akurasi sebesar 87,56% dengan menggunakan algoritma yang sama tanpa Feature Engineering. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Feature Engineering memegang peranan penting dalam klasifikasi tingkat kemampuan adapatasi siswa untuk mendapatkan hasil yang baik dengan akurasi yang tinggi.
