Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability of Class II students at SDN SP4 Kobe Kulo in reading and writing beginning in Theme 6 Sub-theme 1 Animals Around Me through the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning method,This type of research is class action research (Class Room Action Research). The PTK design in this study uses the Kemmis and McTaggart model which includes four steps, namely (1) action planning; (2) implementation of actions; (3) observation; and (4) reflection. This research was conducted in class II of SD Negeri SP4 Kobe Kulo with an allocation of 2 months for data collection, starting from April 2022 – June 2022. The data collection techniques used were observation, documentation and testing techniques. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistical analysis.The results showed that: (1) The ability of class II students at SDN SP4 Kobe Kulo in reading and writing at the beginning had increased after using the CIRC method. In cycle I, the average ability of students who achieved mastery in learning to read was 8 out of 15 people or 53.33% in the less category. While the students' writing ability achieved learning mastery as much as 9 out of 15 people or 60% in the sufficient category. In cycle II, 13 out of 15 students who achieved mastery in learning to read or 86.66% were in the very good category. As for the students' writing ability, 13 out of 15 people or 86.66% of the very good category achieved learning mastery.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes through the use of pictures media. This type of research is classroom action research. The class and subject of this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 38 Kota Ternate. The research data collection techniques are observation, testing and documentation. The research instrument used observation sheets in the form of teacher activity observation sheets and student activity observation sheets as well as instruments in the form of student evaluation test questions to assess student learning outcomes.The results showed that the process of learning activities through pictures media increased from cycle Ist to cycle IInd  by 18%, this can be seen from the results of the research in cycle I there were 15 students who had completed(passed the KKM) and 7 students who had not completed (not passed the KKM) with a percentage of students' classical learning completeness of 68% and in cycle II there were 19 students who had completed and 3 students who had not completed with a percentage of students' classical learning completeness of 86%. From this analysis it can be understood that the use of image media in sub-theme 1, the types of work have increased in cycle IInd. The results of this study and research could be concluded that the learning outcomes of class IV students in sub-theme I types of work through pictures media  at SD Negeri 38 Kota Ternate have increased and successed.

Abstract

In the independent curriculum, teaching materials are needed that can implement the dimensions contained in the curriculum itself and implementing existing dimensions, these teaching materials are also expected to be able to support students in their learning activities and achieving the goals of learning activities. One of them is LKPD. This research aims to determine the validity and practicality of discovery learning-based IPAS LKPD to support learning in the independent curriculum at SDN 2 Ternate City. This research is a type of research and development (RD). The research method used in this research is a 4D model with four stages, namely; 1) Define, 2) Design, 3) Development, and 4) Dissemination. The research results show that the IPAS LKPD based on discovery learning is in the valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality test results obtained from the results of student responses were in the very practical category. Based on data analysis from the research results that have been carried out, it was concluded that the IPAS LKPD based on discovery learning to support learning in the independent curriculum at SDN 2 Ternate City is included in the valid category according to material experts, media experts and teachers. Meanwhile, the practicality of discovery learning-based IPAS LKPD based on the results of student responses is included in the very practical category.

Abstract

Background. The learning of natural sciences at Islamic elementary schools in Central Ternate has not yet been integrated with the verses of the Koran. There is still a dichotomy between general knowledge and religious knowledge, even though all of this knowledge originates from the Al-Quran. Purpose. This study aims to dig deeper into the integration of verses from the Koran in science learning at Islamic Elementary Schools in Central Ternate City. This study uses a phenomenological approach to the triangulation model. Respondents in this study were 15 people consisting of 3 school principals, 3 class teachers, and 9 grade 4 students of SD Islamiyah in Central Ternate City. Method. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews related to research variables. The research data were analyzed descriptively.   Results. The results showed that based on the results of observations of learning activities in class 4 SD Islamiyah in Ternate City, it had not been found integrating science learning with verses from the Qur'an, meaning that learning only focused on science subject matter, had nothing to do with verses. Al-Qur'an related to science material being taught, but students' character building can be seen clearly when learning activities take place. Conclusion. The same thing was also obtained from the results of interviews with school principals, class teachers, and students that the implementation of learning by integrating verses of the Qur'an had not been carried out because the school was still carrying out learning by referring to the established curriculum, so there was no connection between Al -Qur'an and any subject matter conveyed by the class teacher.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools is given to students to practice science process skills. Through science learning, students can produce a conceptual understanding of material through scientific work. This research aims to determine students' science process skills and cognitive learning outcomes through the Discovery Learning learning model in elementary schools. This research method is experimental research with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The results showed that the cognitive learning outcomes and skills of experimental class students were higher than those of control class students. Based on the results of the first hypothesis test, it was found that Fcount= 131.266 while Ftable= 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning. The results of the second hypothesis test showed that the value of Fcount = 128.380 while Ftable = 3.44. This means FcountFtable and sig. = 0.05 so H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that there are differences in science process skills between students who take part in learning using the discovery learning model and students who take part in conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess local knowledge as one of the character formation values of Islamic elementary school students through Heutagogy and Cybergogy learning approach. The writers employed a qualitative method with a post-positivism interpretive phenomenology approach. The research subjects were the fourth, fifth, and sixth-grade teachers and students of SD (Elementary School) in Ternate. The writers collected the data through interviews, observation, and documentation and then analyzed the data using phenomenological data analysis. The results showed that the school applied Heutagogy and Cybergogy approaches in learning activities through online learning instructions combined with local wisdom. The values of local wisdom that supported the formation of student characters were tabea (respecting teachers and elders), dodara ngofa (a sense of love and affection with others), and fohaka biasa toma dodoto madaha (providing an example of habituation in education). These three dominant values formed the student characters.

Abstract

Character education is very fundamental in education, because morals and character are the main targets in education. Thus, the formation of student character must exist at the joint of general education and Islamic education, or integrate the two through an Al-Qur'an approach based on the Pancasila Education Profile. Science learning which contains natural events should not be separated from the Al-Qur'an, because in the Al-Qur'an all natural phenomena are explained, so that they are interrelated and mutually support each other in developing students' knowledge which leads to strengthening character. The existence of an Islamic-based elementary school should have added value in the character aspect by emphasizing the Al-Qur'an approach. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the formation of student character in science lessons through the Al-Qur'an approach at SD Islmaiyah 2, Ternate City and SD Islamiyah 5, Ternate City. This research method is descriptive qualitative using Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model. The results of this research show that there is no integration of science lessons with the Al-Qur'an to encourage the development of student character education at Islamiya 2.5 Elementary School, Ternate City. This can be seen from the learning tools and learning process. Although the learning process has been touched upon a little, it is not yet structured due to the teacher's limited ability to integrate it. In the future, training is needed to develop learning tools using the Al-Qur'an approach to prepare the generation for a golden Indonesia in 2045.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara pemahaman konsep IPA, sikap ilmiah, dan keterampilan proses sains. Keterampilan proses sains sangat dibutuhkan untuk kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah di masa depan. Desain penelitian ini adalah semu eksperimen. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 49 Kota Ternate tahun pelajaran 2020/2021. Data yang terkumpul melalui tes, kuesioner dan observasi. Hasil penelitian memberikan hasil bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sains terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA; Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif antara sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 65,4%; dan Ada pengaruh yang signifikan dan positif antara keterampilan proses sains dan sikap ilmiah terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 66,5%. Guru harus aktif memberikan bimbingan kepada siswa dan menggunakan konteks masalah kehidupan nyata untuk melatih keterampilan proses sains.
