Abstract

This research examines the relationship between credit portfolio diversification and the risk and return of state-owned banks (Bank BUMN) from 2019 to 2023. Using multiple linear regression analysis, it evaluates the impact of the Herfindahl Hirschman Index (HHI) on credit or financing risk (NPL and NPF) and bank returns (ROA, ROE) among state-owned banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Control variables include bank size, loan or financing to deposit ratio (LDR and FDR), and equity to total asset ratio (ETA). The results show that credit portfolio diversification reduces credit risk in BUMN banks, suggesting that spreading credit exposures across sectors can mitigate risk. However, diversification does not significantly affect bank returns (ROA, ROE). Control variables such as bank size, LDR and FDR, and ETA show no significant impact on credit risk, ROA, or ROE. This study provides empirical evidence on the effectiveness of financing portfolio diversification in managing credit risk within state-owned banks, considering Islamic banking principles. While diversification can mitigate credit risk, its impact on profitability requires careful consideration. BUMN banks should implement robust risk assessment frameworks and strategic oversight to maximize diversification benefits while maintaining financial stability and adhering to ethical and Sharia-compliant financial practices.

Abstract

The experiments were carried out using Te-TiO2/Ti as working electrodes, prepared by the simple anodization technique and dip coating method, on Ti substrates (TiO2/Ti). The measurements were performed in an electrochemical cell using a three-electrode system, with Te-TiO2/Ti as the working electrode, Ag/AgCl as the reference electrode and pt as the auxiliary electrode. A flow system for determining the profile and photocurrent response of reactive orange 84 was developed using Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV) and Multi-Pulse Amperometry (MPA). The physicochemical properties of Te-TiO2/Ti electrodes have been studied using UVvis DRS analysis techniques and compared with un-doped TiO2/Ti electrodes. The UVvis DRS showed that the TiO2/Ti doped Te functionally decreases bandgap to 3.0 eV. The results showed that the photocurrent of reactive orange 84 was observed in the concentration range (1-5 M), with a linear response between concentration and charge.

Abstract

The new composite material Al(III)-TiO2 has been synthesized and applied as a modifier of graphene paste electrode for the determination of fipronil pesticide by cyclic voltammetry. The methods were to synthesis of Aluminum-Titanium dioxide (AT), preparation of graphene paste electrode with mass varied Al(III)-TiO2 (GAT) (0.05 g, 0.1 g, 0.2 g), and fipronil electroanalytic respons. Addition of Al(III)-TiO2 to the graphene paste electrode shows redox properties which are well characterized by a fast electron transfer process. Based on the results of measurements in a solution containing fipronil, it is known that fipronil is oxidized at a potential value of 0.26 V. Furthermore, the fipronil oxidation process on the GAT surface is influenced by diffusion control, this is powered by R2 value 0.91 when plotted between peak oxidation currents (Ipa) vs. root scan rate. Other results show that measurement linearity is in the range 0.01 to 0.09 g/L with a limit of detection (LOD) value of 0.0164 g/L. Moreover, GAT shows good stability in the determination of fipronil with% RSD equal to 5%.

Abstract

The preparation of reduced graphene oxide composite electrodes from palm shells (rGOCKS-ZnO) as a chemical oxygen demand (COD) sensor by photoelectrocatalysis has been successfully carried out. The preparation of rGOPS - ZnO electrodes by thermal reduction method and modified Hummer. The XRD results showed several peaks of rGOCKS - ZnO namely 23.287 º, 26.781 °, 29.889 °, 32.468 °, 35.109 °, 37.14 °, 39.822 °, 43.559 °, 47.927 °, and 48.537 °. SEM-EDX analysis reveals the surface of graphene sheets containing aggregates in the shape of small particles attached to graphene sheets. The results of the EDX analysis consisted of C 67.82 %, O. 19.2 %, Zn. 7.85 % and 5.13 % impurity. The CV and LSV tests showed that the rGOAK - ZnO electrode with a variation of 1 gram: 0.3 gram had a good response to the oxidation process under visible light. The profile tests of these organic dyes (methylene blue) in concentrations of 0.5 ppm, 1.0 ppm, 2.0 ppm, and 3.0 ppm were applied by Multi Pulse Amperometry (MPA). The performance of the rGOPS - ZnO electrode has been in determining the value of COD by photo electrocatalytic good sensitivity, linearity, limit of detection, repeatability, and service life. The COD value was determined using the rGOPS - ZnO electrode and obtained 2.97897 mg/LO2 close to the theoretical value.
