Abstract

The performance of civil servants in public organizations remains a critical concern, particularly within the West Sulawesi Provincial Government, where employee productivity is not yet optimal. This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership style on civil servant performance. A quantitative approach was applied, involving 277 civil servants selected through proportional random sampling from seven regional apparatus organizations. Data were collected using the **Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ)** and the **Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ)**. The data were analyzed using simple and multiple linear regression analyses. The findings indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simple regression shows a significant effect with a contribution of 2.2%, while multiple regression indicates that the four leadership dimensions collectively explain 35.3% of the variance in performance. Inspirational motivation emerged as the most dominant dimension influencing performance. Transformational leadership effectively enhances civil servant performance, suggesting that strengthening leadership practices can improve public sector productivity and behavioral outcomes. These findings have implications for leadership development and bureaucratic reform in regional government institutions. Future studies are recommended to include additional variables such as organizational culture, work environment, and compensation systems to improve the explanatory power of the model.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of workplace spirituality training in improving teacher performance at SMP IMIM Putra YASDIC IMIM. Educational digitalization through the Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) was found to trigger administrative burdens and work-related stress, which have an effect on the decline in teacher performance. Using a quasi-experimental design (pretest posttest control group design), the study involved 15 teachers who were divided into experimental and control groups. Performance was measured through the results of academic supervision focusing on instructional planning and learning process aspects. Data analysis employed Independent and Paired Sample t-Tests. The results showed a very significant improvement in performance in the experimental group by 96.8% (scores increased from 56.13 to 110.50) with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d = -3.847), while the control group tended to remain stagnant. It is concluded that strengthening the dimensions of work meaning, sense of togetherness, and alignment with Islamic values is effective in transforming teachers’ intrinsic motivation and mental resilience, which directly has an effect on the improvement of instructional quality in the classroom. Keywords: Spiritual Training, Workplace Spirituality, Teacher Performance, Academic Supervision, Islamic Education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the forms of organizational commitment possessed by honorary teachers at SMP Islam Terpadu Anugrah Hidayah Makassar, identify factors that influence organizational commitment, and analyze the impact experienced by honorary teachers on organizational commitment. Honorary teachers in private social-based schools face various limitations, such as low welfare, job insecurity, and high workloads, but they still show strong loyalty and dedication to educational institutions. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects consisted of five honorary teachers who are still actively teaching at SMP Islam Terpadu Anugrah Hidayah Makassar. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews and observations, then analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of the study indicate that the commitment of honorary teachers is reflected in three dimensions, namely affective commitment in the form of emotional attachment to students and the school environment, normative commitment driven by a sense of moral responsibility and religious values, and continuous commitment related to rational considerations of limited job alternatives. Factors that influence commitment include internal factors such as intrinsic motivation, calling, and the religious meaning of work, as well as external factors such as leadership support, family atmosphere, and foundation policies. The impact of organizational commitment shows positive aspects such as loyalty, discipline, and active involvement in school activities, as well as negative aspects such as work fatigue, psychological pressure, and limited welfare.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali secara mendalam bentuk komitmen organisasi yang dimiliki oleh guru honorer di SMP Islam Terpadu Anugrah Hidayah Makassar, mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi komitmen organisasi, serta menganalisis dampak yang dialami guru honorer terhadap komitmen organisasi tersebut.

Abstract

behavior, with ecological responsibility acting as a mediating variable. The research was conducted among public senior high school students in Makassar City. Data were collected using a set of valid and reliable Likert-based instruments, including the Environmental-Portrait Value Questionnaire (E-PVQ), the Environmental Identity (EID) Scale, the Responsibility Scale, and the Littering Prevention Behavior Scale. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), and the final model demonstrated a good overall fit. The findings reveal several important relationships. Value orientation was found to have a positive and significant effect on environmental responsibility, indicating that students with strong pro-environmental values tend to feel more responsible for their environment. Environmental identity also positively and significantly influenced environmental responsibility. Furthermore, value orientation showed a positive and significant effect on littering behavior, suggesting that values can directly encourage responsible waste disposal. In contrast, environmental identity did not directly influence littering behavior in a significant way. However, environmental responsibility emerged as a key factor: it positively and significantly predicted littering behavior and served as a mediator in the model. Environmental responsibility successfully mediated the influence of both value orientation and environmental identity on littering behavior. Keywords: value orientation, environmental identity, responsibility, littering behavior, high school students
