Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) analyzing and describing the role of the community, (2) analyzing and describing the obstacles faced by the community, (3) analyzing and describing solutions to face obstacles in realizing a Religious Harmony Awareness Village in Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research design. This research was conducted in Tulungrejo Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. Data collection in this study used structured interview techniques, passive participant observation of core informants and documentation with data sources obtained based on primary and secondary data. The data in this study is in the form of administrative data and local community activities. Data analysis in this study uses modified data analysis and interactive models by checking the validity of findings through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. To obtain reliable data, validation is carried out with source triangulation techniques. The result of this research is the contribution of the local community through mutual assistance and participation in community activities, especially in inter-religious activities. The obstacles in realizing the Religious Harmony Awareness Village are the fanaticism of the community in small groups who are less tolerant of differences between religious communities. The solution to overcome these obstacles is through the application of mutual openness and respect for each other.

Abstract

AbstractJabung Mask Dance is a type of Jabung regional symbol dance that is very famous during the harvest month or month, according to the Javanese calendar, and is often performed in various local community events. The purpose of this study is to determine the efforts of the village government's efforts to preserve the local wisdom value of mask dance through a citizenship education perspective, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in preserving the value of local wisdom of Jabung Mask Dance. The research method uses a qualitative approach, with observation data collection techniques, interviews with Mask dancer elders and Jabung Village heads, and document studies. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity using Data triangulation. The results showed that the Village Government strives to perform this Mask Dance at various events and provides support for training. So, it can be concluded that village government's efforts to preserve the local wisdom value of mask dance through a citizenship education perspective are considered quite helpful and very effective as a basis to continue to support the preservation of the value of local wisdom of the Jabung Mask Dance art.------------AbstrakTari Topeng Jabung adalah jenis tarian simbol daerah Jabung yang sangat terkenal selama bulan panen atau bulan baik menurut penanggalan Jawa dan sering ditampilkan dalam berbagai acara masyarakat setempat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui upaya pemerintah desa dalam melestarikan nilai kearifan lokal tari topeng melalui perspektif pendidikan kewarganegaraan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam melestarikan nilai kearifan lokal kesenian Tari Topeng Jabung. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dengan sesepuh penari Topeng dan kepala Desa Jabung, serta studi dokumen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan Triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pemerintah Desa berupaya untuk selalu menampilkan Tari Topeng ini di berbagai acara dan Pemerintah Desa memberikan dukungan untuk pelatihan. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa upaya pemerintah desa dalam melestarikan nilai kearifan lokal tari topeng melalui perspektif pendidikan kewarganegaraan ini dianggap cukup membantu dan sangat efektif dilakukan sebagai dasar untuk tetap menunjang pelestarian nilai kearifan lokal kesenian Tari Topeng Jabung.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the role of schools in applying the concept of ecological citizenship at High Schools in Malang, analyze the implications of applying the concept of ecological citizenship to the environmental care character of students at High Schools in Malang, to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in the application of the concept of ecological citizenship at SMP Negeri 10. Poor. This research method uses a qualitative type of research using a qualitative descriptive research design by managing research data in a descriptive form described in detail. The results of the study show: (1) the role of schools in implementing the concept of ecological citizenship in schools is quite good and is implemented through the vision and mission, school innovation programs, and school culture, then learning activities that are integrated into all subjects and extracurricular activities of eco generation, (2) The implications for student behavior are that students can apply their habits in school by having responsibility for their environment so that they can apply these habits outside of school in a sustainable manner, (3) factors that support and inhibit school success are the participation of all school members to commit together to protect the school environment. In addition, there is support from parents, school committees, related agencies, institutions, universities, and stakeholders who help develop school innovation programs and manage school infrastructure.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujun untuk mengetahui Peran Lembaga pemasyarakatan kelas I kota Malang sebagai sistem peradilan pidana dalam upaya penegakkan hukum dan perlindungan hak asasi narapidana. Serta Upaya dalam pelaksanaan penegakan hukum dan perlindungan hak asasi Narapidna di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Kelas I kota Malang. Metode penelitian menggunakan dasar penelitian dimana menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif analisis yakni metode untuk pengukuran yang cermat terhadap fenomena sosial. Peran penegakan hukum dalam Lembaga pemasyarkatan diatur dalam undang-undang nomer 12 tahun 1995 tentang Lembaga pemasyarakatan pada pasal 8 disebutkan bahwa petugas pemasyarakatan merupakan pejabat fungsional penegak hukum yang melaksanakan tugas dibidang pembinaan pengamanan dan bimbingan warga binaan pemasyarakatan. Upaya dalam penegakan dan pembinaan narapidana supaya terpenuhi hak asasinya, dengan Konsep pengelolaan pembinaan yang berjumlah dua yakni kepribadian dan pembinaan kemandirian. Pembinaan kepribadian lapas kelas I kota Malang berorientasi kepada perubahan mainsait, artinya diluar melakukan tindakan pidana, dan dibina dengan tujuan tidak mengulangi perbuatnya Kembali. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Indonesian youth living abroad as cultural agents in the practice of cultural diplomacy, especially in maintaining the sustainability of Indonesian cultural values, facing the challenge of cultural identity in the destination country, and utilizing cultural diplomacy as a strategy to strengthen sustainable international networks and cooperation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method on the Indonesian Student Association (PPI) organization located in Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Austria The results of the study show that Indonesian youth living abroad actively carry out cultural diplomacy through various cultural, academic, social, and community activities that are adapted to the socio-cultural context in the destination country. Activities such as cultural festivals, art exhibitions, traditional performances, academic forums, and the use of digital media have proven to play an important role in building cultural attraction and strengthening Indonesia's positive image at the international level. In addition, this study found that cultural diplomacy carried out by diaspora youth not only functions as a means of cultural representation, but also as a strategic mechanism in building international networks based on trust, exchange of ideas, and cross-cultural interaction. These findings confirm that Indonesian diaspora youth have a strategic position as non-state actors in supporting the strengthening of Indonesian cultural diplomacy in the era of globalization, as well as contributing to strengthening international relations through a sustainable soft power approach.

Abstract

The implementation of character values through the Pancasila Student Profile is a complex task, facing various obstacles, particularly due to the rapid and often uncontrolled technological developments in the era of Society 5.0. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, utilizing thematic analysis to identify key patterns in student character development, along with source triangulation to ensure the validity of findings. Based on this research, strengthening students' character through the integration of local wisdom in P5 activities at SMA Muhammadiyah Boleng, specifically through the Tiba Meka dance, has proven to be effective. Observations and interviews indicate a 30% increase in students’ cultural awareness, demonstrating that learning the Tiba Meka dance not only helps students recognize and preserve their cultural heritage but also cultivates discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and cultural pride. Furthermore, the active involvement of teachers and strong parental support significantly contribute to the success of this program. The findings highlight that the P5 initiative, through traditional dance, fosters character formation rooted in local identity and strengthens students' connection to their cultural heritage. This study suggests that integrating local wisdom into education, particularly through performing arts, is a practical and effective strategy for shaping students with strong personal and cultural values, offering valuable insights for the broader Indonesian educational system.

Abstract

This research discusses: a) The digital activism of university students in Malang amidst COVID-19 pandemic, b) The media used by the students to run the digital activism amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and c) Political movements carried out by the students amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This present research implemented qualitative approach using case study to describe the findings of phenomena that occur in the field. Taking concern on the discussed issue in the research, the case study method required a number of field data that are contextual and actual. Meanwhile, the results of this research found that the use of digital space as a place to carry out activism activites is one form of social change. It is observed that students' activism in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak has changed pattern. The change was a move from conventional, mass gathering, into online using a variety of platform. This change in carrying out students' political movement has succeeded in attracting public attention which resulted in the success of political movements and gathering and amplifying "attention" on certain social issues.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internalization of democratic values through the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) under the theme “Voice of Democracy” in the student council election at SMAN 1 Kota Batu.  Studies on the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) have largely focused on program implementation and general character formation, while the internalization of democratic values through school-based democratic practices remains underexplored. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and document analysis.  The research instruments include interview guidelines, observation guidelines, and documentation study guidelines. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data trustworthiness was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that the student council election within P5 functions as a school-based democratic laboratory, not merely as an electoral routine. The internalization of democratic values occurs through three main stages: nomination and campaign, candidate debate, and voting and vote counting. These stages foster students’ responsibility, tolerance, reciprocity awareness, open-mindedness, sportsmanship, honesty, and procedural discipline. The study concludes that P5 under the “Voice of Democracy” theme provides a substantive democratic learning experience and contributes to strengthening students’ democratic attitudes within the framework of the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) Untuk menjelaskan peran masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya nilai-nilaiPancasiladi Kecamatan Blimbing, (2) Untuk menganalisis dampak dari peran masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya nilai-nilai Pancasila di Kecamatan Blimbing, (3) Untuk menganalisis solusi dari dampak peran masyarakat dalam menumbuhkan kesadaran pentingnya nilai-nilai Pancasila di Kecamatan Blimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Blimbing pada tanggal 25 Mei hingga 10 Juli 2022. Subyek penelitian antara lain Kepala Kecamatan Blimbing, staff Kecamatan Blimbing dan masyarakat sekitar. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.
