Abstract

pplying the right training methods can lead to optimal athlete performance. The use of one training method is common, and the use of a combination of two training methods is something new in training. The purpose of this study was to reveal the effectiveness of the combination of split jump training as a plyometric exercise with short sprint training on the leg muscle power capacity and agility of volleyball players. The research method in this research is a quasi experiment involving 40 samples (age: 20.85 ± 0.89 years, height: 178.69 ± 6.51 cm, and weight: 72.47 ± 8.02 kg). This study used a modified randomized pre-test and post-test design without a control group. The population of this study were volleyball players at Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). Purposive sampling was chosen to determine the sample, namely 40 male student players.The sample was given training combining split jumps with short sprints for 4 weeks with details of 12 training sessions (3 times a week). The Jumpa DF and agility t-test were chosen as instruments to measure leg muscle power and agility. The collected data was analyzed using a paired t-test with a significance level of 5%. Before testing the hypothesis, start by testing the normality of the data using the Kolmogorov-Smirnova test and the homogeneity of the data using Levene’s with the help of SPSS 16.0. The results achieved show that there is a significant influence on the leg muscle power (sig 0.05) and agility (sig 0.05) of volleyball players. Based on the results of this data analysis, it can be concluded that the combination of split jump and short sprint training for 4 weeks has a significant effect on the results of leg muscle power and agility in male volleyball players. Seeing the findings above, it is hoped that volleyball coaches can apply this training method, specifically in the pre-competition phase, which requires a short time to improve leg muscle strength and agility at the same time.

Abstract

Background: Low achievement and poor learning skills among current students. Research Objectives: This research analysed the project-based blended learning model on cognitive learning achievement and sports massage skills. Methods: This research is a quasi-experiment. The population was 9 classes (180 students) in the Department of Physical Education. There were 4 classes (80 students) of the samples in this study. A random sampling technique was utilised in this study. A post-test-only control group design was used. Learning achievement was measured by multiple-choice tests, and the skills were measured by a massage skills test. The data were analysed using MANCOVA with SPSS at a 5% significance level. Finding/Results: The research finding showed that (1) there was a difference in massage learning achievement and massage skills between students who studied with project-based blended learning assisted by interactive multimedia and those with direct instruction with a significance number of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05, (2) there was a difference in massage learning achievement between students who studied with project-based blended learning assisted by interactive multimedia and those with direct instruction, with a value of F = 8.400 and (3) there was a difference in massage skills between students who studied with project-based blended learning assisted with interactive multimedia and those with direct instruction, with a value of F = 13.817. Conclusion: It can be summarised that the project-based blended learning model could improve learning achievement and massage skills. The level of digital literacy has not been considered in this research; it is recommended that future research pay attention to this variable.

Abstract

Background: Motion-based learning, especially Pencak Silat material taught at the Senior High School level always presents challenges for Physical Education (PE) Teachers. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effect of project-based learning assisted with flashcards on students’ learning outcomes in learning Pencak Silat. Methods: Quasi-experimental was used as a research design by conducting pretest and posttest. There were 312 eleventh-grade students in this study, which was conducted at Senior High School of Laboratorium Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) and Senior High School 1 Sukasada. A simple random sampling technique was performed to select the sample of this study. One hundred twenty students were chosen as a research sample and divided into experimental and control groups. The data were collected by conducting pre-tests and post-tests. The instrument used in this study was the basic attitudes test of Pencak Silat. The collected data were analyzed quantitatively through inferential statistics (independent sample t-test) with the assistance of SPSS 22. Results: The results showed a significant difference between the post-test gained by the experimental group treated by project-based learning assisted with flashcards and the control group treated by conventional education. Sig proved it. (2-tailed) the post-test data was 0.01, indicating that the significant value was less than 0.05 as consideration. The effect size found through the calculation of Eta Squared proposed by Cohen was 0.08, categorized as a high level. Conclusion: It could be concluded that there was an effect of project-based learning assisted with flashcards towards students’ learning outcomes in learning Pencak Silat since this study is focused on learning.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 mwmberikan dampak buruk terhadap kesehatan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motivasi masyarakat untuk melakukan aktivitas olahraga di Kompleks Fasilitas Olahraga Bhuana Patra Singaraja. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Populasi dari penelitian ini menggunakan semua masyarakat kota Singaraja yang Melakukan Aktivitas Olahraga di Kompleks Fasilitas Olahraga Bhuana Patra Singaraja. Karena jumlah populasi tidak diketahui pasti, penentuan besar sampel menggunakan rumus Isaac dan Michael pada tingkat kesalahan 5%, sehingga diperoleh 350 orang responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dengan skala penilaian inrterval dari jawaban angket responden. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa skor motivasi masyarakat melakukan aktivitas olahraga di Kompleks Fasilitas Olahraga Bhuana Patra Singaraja berada pada kategori sangat tinggi sebanyak 98 orang (28,00%), berada pada kategori tinggi sebanyak 235 orang (67,14%), berada pada kategori sedang sebanyak 17 orang (4,86%), dan tidak ada masyarakat yang memiliki skor motivasi rendah dan sangat rendah (0,00%). Adapun skor rata-rata motivasi masyarakat melakukan aktivitas olahraga di Kompleks Fasilitas Olahraga Bhuana Patra Singaraja sebesar 38,40 berada pada rentang kategori 33 ≤ M < 39, sehingga skor rata-rata motivasi masyarakat melakukan aktivitas olahraga di Kompleks Fasilitas Olahraga Bhuana Patra Singaraja memiliki kategori tinggi.

Abstract

In the PJOK learning process, teachers have an important role in designing innovative learning and considering physical aspects that are in accordance with the subject matter. This study aims to determine the difference in the effectiveness of TPS and PBL learning models on the learning outcomes of students' basketball skills as a whole and students with low hand eye coordination. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a 2x2 treatment by level design. The study population was 5th grade students in Tembuku District. The research sample was 80 students, randomly selected by simple random sampling through the groups drawing. The data collected were hand eye coordination data and learning outcomes analyzed by inferential statistics through two-way ANOVA test and LSD test. The results showed that there were differences in learning outcomes of basketball skills between students who followed the TPS and PBL models (F=5.902;p<0.05), and there are differences in learning outcomes for students with low hand eye coordination in both models (F=28.349;p<0.05).

Abstract

Background Problems: The recovery process plays an important role in maintaining athletic performance and preventing fatigue among players. Research Objectives: This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current research on athlete fatigue recovery, including the various methods used to enhance recovery, the limitations of existing studies, and potential areas for future research. Methods: This study was reported according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). We designed the study using the PICOS strategy. We sourced the literature from established research sources in the Scopus databases. The final data used for this study consisted of 24 articles. Findings and Results: The main findings confirmed that aquatic therapies, such as hot-and-cold-water immersion (HWI) and cold-water immersion (CWI), along with a number of other alternative methods, provide a strong foundation for improving athletes' recovery and performance. In addition, various novel therapies such as curcumin supplements, electrostimulation, and high-intensity interval training (HIT) also offer great potential for accelerating athletes’ recovery. Conclusion: The findings from this study highlight various recovery methods that can help reduce athletes’ fatigue after competition or training. This study also noted limitations and provided suggestions for future research, guiding researchers to further understand and improve athlete recovery holistically.

Abstract

Physical education, sports and health are activities that involve students in physical activities aimed at improving physical fitness and improving students' motor skills. This research aims to determine the visibility and effectiveness of Physical Education, Sports and Health Learning in Elementary Schools (SD) in Buleleng District. Descriptive - quantitative research type with a sample of 45 schools from a population of 75 schools. Using collection methods in the form of surveys, observations, documentation studies, interviews and questionnaires. The results of this research in terms of visibility and effectiveness in terms of visibility of teacher personality competence with a score of 7.88 in the "Good" category, learning implementation with a score of 8.76 in the "Good" category, lesson implementation plans with a score of 8.06 in the "Good" category, and the ratio of teachers to students is 1: 26.29 in the "Ideal" category. In terms of effectiveness, the grades of students in elementary schools in Buleleng District at school have been stated to be good in taking physical education, sports and health (PJOK) lessons. For the questionnaire that researchers gave to elementary schools (SD) in Buleleng District, the number of respondents was 621 people. With a total of 10 questions given from the results of students' views, if the total average of the questionnaires given to students in elementary schools (SD) in Buleleng District with a total of 621 respondents gave a strongly disagree answer of 0.3 %, disagree 1.7%, agree 54.7%, and strongly agree 44.0%. So it can be concluded that the visibility in elementary schools in the "Good" category and the effectiveness of physical education, sports and health learning in elementary schools has been carried out effectively and systematically. Suggestions for efforts to achieve the goals of Physical Education, Sports and Health in elementary schools must be adjusted to several elements such as learning objectives, student abilities, learning methods, learning materials, facilities and infrastructure available at school, learning activities and student comfort.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mendeskripsikan tingkat VO2 maks siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran  2008/2009, mendeskripsikan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran  2008/2009, mengetahui korelasi antara VO2 maks dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran  2008/2009. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja menggunakan metode korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI dan XII tahun pelajaran 2008/2009 yang berjumlah 445 orang. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 96 siswa diambil dengan teknik proporsional random sampling. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu VO2 maks dan variabel terikat prestasi belajar. Teknik analisis data menggunakan korelasi product moment pada taraf signifikansi a = 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1)VO2 maks siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran  2008/2009, yang tergolong baik sebanyak 2%, sedang 12%, kurang 23% dan kurang sekali 64%. 2) Prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran  2008/2009, yang tergolong baik sekali 55%, baik 41%, cukup 4,2%. 3) Ada korelasi antara VO2 maks dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI dan XII SMA Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2008/2009, dimana nilai signifikansi hitung (0,00) < a = 0,05.   Kata-kata kunci: VO2 maks, prestasi belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan alternate leg bound terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai dan waktu reaksi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan the non-randomized control group posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler taekwondo SMP Negeri 2 Banjar berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk penelitian tes kekuatan otot tungkai adalah back and leg dynamometer, sedangkan instrumen untuk tes waktu reaksi adalah whole body reaction. Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan uji t-independent pada taraf signifikansi lebih kecil (α) 0,05 dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-independent didapatkan hasil: (1) variabel kekuatan otot tungkai dengan nilai signifikansi 0,001. (2) variabel waktu reaksi dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Nilai signifikansi hitung lebih kecil dari nilai α (0,05), dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian “pelatihan alternate leg bound berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan otot tungkai” diterima dan “pelatihan alternate leg bound berpengaruh terhadap waktu reaksi” diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan alternate leg bound berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot tungkai dan waktu reaksi pada siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler taekwondo SMP Negeri 2 Banjar tahun 2016. Bagi para guru olahraga, pelatih, pembina serta atlet disarankan untuk menggunakan pelatihan alternate leg bound sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot tungkai dan waktu reaksi.Kata Kunci : alternate leg bound, kekuatan, waktu reaksi. The research is a quasi-experimental design with the non-randomized control group posttest design. Subjects were students in extracurricular participants taekwondo SMP Negeri 2 Banjar numbered 30 people. The instrument used for research testing leg muscle strength is back and leg dynamometer, while the instrument to test the reaction time is a whole body reaction. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by independent t-test at a significance level of less (α) of 0.05 with SPSS 16.0. Based on the results of independent t-test showed: (1) variable leg muscle strength with significant value 0.001. (2) variable reaction time with a significance value of 0.000. The significance value calculated is less than the value of α (0.05), so the hypothesis research "alternate training leg bound effect on leg muscle strength" accepted and "alternate training leg bound effect on reaction time" be accepted. It can be concluded that the training alternate leg bound significant effect on the increase in leg muscle strength and reaction time on extracurricular participants taekwondo student SMP Negeri 2 Banjar 2016. For sports teachers, trainers, coaches and athletes are advised to use alternate training as one leg bound alternative way to increase leg muscle strength and reaction time. keyword : alternate leg bound, strength, reaction time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan slalom dribbling terhadap kelincahan dan VO2Maks. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan the non-rendomized control group pretest posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 1 Kediri tahun pelajaran 2016 berjumlah 30 orang yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan pre-test. Hasil pre-test digunakan untuk membagi subjek menjadi dua kelompok dengan menggunakan teknik ordinal pairing. Kelincahan diukur dengan ilinois agility test dan VO2Maks diukur dengan tes MFT, selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan uji-t independent pada taraf signifikansi 95% lebih kecil (α) 0,05 dengan bantuan program SPSS 16.0. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t independent didapatkan hasil: (1) variabel kelincahan dengan nilai signifikansi 0,034. (2) variabel VO2Maks dengan nilai signifikansi 0.045. Nilai signifikansi hitung lebih kecil dari nilai α, dengan demikian hipotesis penelitian “pelatihan slalom dribbling berpengaruh terhadap Kelincahan dan VO2Maks” Hipotesis diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa; (1) pelatihan slalom ndribbling berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelincahan siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 1 Kediri tahun pelajaran 2016. (2) pelatihan slalom dribbling berpengaruh signifikan terhadap VO2Maks siswa peserta ekstrakurikuler sepak bola SMP Negeri 1 Kediri tahun pelajaran 2016. Kata Kunci : Pelatihan Slalom dribbling, Kelincahan, VO2Maks This research to know the effect of slalom dribbling training to the agility and VO2 Max. The research is a quasi-experimental design with the non-rendomized control group pretest posttest design. Subjects is students in extracurricular football participant SMP Negeri 1 Kediri school year 2016 are 30 people the next will do the pre-test. The result of pre-test was used to devide the subjects into two groups using ordinal pairing. Agility is measured by ilinois agility test and VO2 Max is measured by a test MFT, then analyzed by independent t-test at 95% significance level smaller (α) of 0.05 with SPSS 16.0. Based on the independent t-test results showed: (1) variable agility with a significance value of 0.034. (2) variable VO2 Max with significant value 0.045. The significance value calculated smaller than the value of α, so the hypothesis research " slalom dribbling training affect the agility and VO2 Max" Hipotesis acceptable. Can be concluded that; (1) slalom dribbling training affects the agility of student participants extracurricular football SMP Negeri 1 Kediri school year 2016.
