Abstract

This article is the result of research that aims to find out how students' mathematical creative thinking abilities solve questions related to data presentation material. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. Data presentation material is one of the mathematical materials contained in the basic competencies that must be mastered by class VII students and is closely related to everyday life. In this study, the population consisted of students of class VII at a state junior high school in the city of Tangerang for the 2022/2023 academic year. Selection of the sample utilizing purposive sampling with 34 students of class VII-D. Data collection techniques by giving creative thinking tests in the form of descriptions that were previously validated. The results of this study showed that the students' mathematical creative thinking test scores were 20.6% in the high category, 67.6% in the medium category, and 11.4% in the low category.

Abstract

In education, the integration of technology is becoming increasingly important. This is especially true for mathematics teachers, who must use technology effectively to enhance the learning experience for their students. One method for assessing a mathematics teacher's ability to integrate technology into their teaching practice is through TPACK competency analysis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the TPACK abilities possessed by a future teacher candidate through the microteaching course he has attended. This study used a qualitative method in which data were obtained from interviews and questionnaires distributed via WhatsApp. The results of this study showed that prospective teachers who were the subjects of this study were capable and proficient enough in using and utilizing technology in learning, but were still unable to match learning methods and models with the material to be taught to students in the learning tools they compiled. Through this research, it is hoped that students who are prospective teachers of mathematics will deepen their mastery of learning methods and models which will be applied when they teach. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of increased training in developing the TPACK competency of prospective mathematics teachers.Di bidang pendidikan, integrasi teknologi menjadi semakin penting. Hal ini terutama berlaku untuk guru matematika, yang harus memanfaatkan teknologi secara efektif untuk meningkatkan pengalaman belajar bagi siswanya. Salah satu metode untuk menilai kemampuan guru matematika dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ke dalam praktik mengajarnya adalah melalui analisis kompetensi TPACK. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kemampuan TPACK yang dimiliki oleh seorang calon guru masa depan melalui mata kuliah microteaching yang telah diikutinya.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang mana data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dan pengisian kuisioner yang sebar melalui WhatsApp.  Hasil penelitian ini   diperoleh bahwa calon guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini telah mampu dan cukup mahir dalam penggunaan dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam pembelajaran, namun masih belum mampu dalam mencocokkan metode dan model pembelajaran dengan materi yang akan diajarkan kepada siswa dalam perangkat pembelajaran yang mereka susun. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan mahasiswa calon guru matematika dapat memperdalam penguasaannya terhadap metode dan model pembelajaran yang akan diterapkan pada saat mereka mengajar. Implikasi dari temuan ini menyoroti pentingnya peningkatan pelatihan dalam pengembangan kompetensi TPACK calon guru matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how learning activities affect students' capacity to solve mathematical problems involving quadratic functions. Because of the weight placed on students' capacity to solve mathematical problems, the findings of this study should assist educators in implementing instructional strategies that prioritize learning activities. 81 students served as the sample for this study, which was carried out in one of Karawang City's State Senior High Schools. The quantitative Expost Facto method and strategy were employed in this investigation. Simple random sampling was the method used to acquire the data, and simple linear regression was the method utilized to analyze the data using the normalcy, linearity, and hypothesis tests. With a Sig value of.000, it is evident that learning activities have a significant impact on students' ability to solve mathematical problems. The regression equation is Y = 59.674 + 0.408X, and the influence is 23.3%. The findings also indicate a positive relationship, indicating that students' ability to solve mathematical problems will increase with activity level.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how students' errors in understanding the concept of congruence and suitable strategies in solving these problems, one of which is by applying ethnomathematics. Data was collected using existing sources such as journals, books, and other researches to produce scientific information. The results showed several student errors in congruence including a lack of understanding of the congruence theorem, difficulty in processing mathematical images and symbols, and errors in the proof steps. Some research from the review shows that ethnomathematics can help students by providing learning experiences that are not only useful but also build connections between abstract concepts and cultural realities.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep geometri merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun masih banyak siswa yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menguasainya. Persepsi terhadap media pembelajaran dan rasa percaya diri diduga berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep geometri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) pengaruh persepsi atas media pembelajaran dan rasa percaya diri secara simultan terhadap penguasaan konsep geometri, (2) pengaruh persepsi atas media pembelajaran terhadap penguasaan konsep geometri, serta (3) pengaruh rasa percaya diri terhadap penguasaan konsep geometri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan regresi linear berganda. Sampel terdiri dari 84 siswa SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwaringin, Kabupaten Bekasi, yang dipilih dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik persepsi terhadap media pembelajaran maupun rasa percaya diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep geometri. Selain itu, persepsi terhadap media pembelajaran memiliki pengaruh lebih besar dibandingkan rasa percaya diri dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep geometri. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran yang efektif serta peningkatan rasa percaya diri siswa dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri. Temuan ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan mendorong kepercayaan diri siswa dalam belajar matematika.

Abstract

Learning mathematics today has many variations in learning, one of which is by using GeoGebra Software in learning mathematics. Mathematics in school learning requires the ability to reason, analyze calculations, and imagine in accordance with the ability to think creatively. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review related to Creative Thinking Ability in Junior High School Mathematics Learning. The method used in this research is SLR (Systematic Literature Review) on “Use of GeoGebra” and “Creative Thinking Ability” published in the last ten years from sinta and scopus indexed journals in Google Scholar. This study was guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) which resulted in 14 (fourteen) research articles to be systematically reviewed in 2014-2024 which were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the use of GeoGebra on Creative Thinking Ability in Mathematics Learning was proven to significantly improve the ability of students with the application of learning models or not than conventional learning models.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are the ability to communicate ideas, solve problems, and create something that has never been discovered by others. Geometry is one of the areas of mathematics taught in schools that requires the use of reasoning, calculation analysis, and creative imagination. This study aims to review the literature on the topic of creative thinking skills in geometry learning in junior high school. SLR (Systematic Literature Review) on “Creative Thinking Ability” and “Geometry” that have been published in the last ten years served as the research methodology. Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA), which generates research articles for systematic reviews between 2014 and 2024, became the basis of this study. The results show that there are several levels of creative thinking skills in geometry learning, namely high, medium, and low, using various approaches, models, and media support. Through the use of media and problem development tools, the results showed a high level of creative thinking ability. A moderate level was achieved when students only showed one or two of the three previously mentioned indicators of creative thinking ability, or when they had not fully met the indicators. The low level was achieved when students did not meet any of the creative thinking indicators and were mostly directed by teacher examples or standard working procedures without any input from students on how to solve the problem

Abstract

This study aims to develop digital learning media designed to enhance students’ algebraic thinking skills, addressing the urgent need for innovative instructional tools that foster higher-order mathematical reasoning. The research was motivated by the persistently low levels of algebraic thinking among students and the lack of engaging media that can support the development of these essential skills. Employing a research and development (R&D) approach, the study utilized the ADDIE model—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation—to guide the creation of an Android-based learning application focused on systems of linear equations in two variables. The study involved media and content expert validators who assessed the quality, relevance, and usability of the developed media. Data were collected through questionnaires and guided interviews, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. The final product is a digital application that integrates algebraic thinking tasks and interactive content to support student engagement and conceptual understanding. Validation results from both media and content experts confirmed that the digital learning media is pedagogically sound and suitable for classroom use. Furthermore, student feedback indicated that the application is user-friendly, visually engaging, contextually relevant, and effective in helping them practice and strengthen their algebraic thinking abilities. This research contributes to the growing field of educational technology by offering a validated digital tool specifically designed to target algebraic reasoning. Future research should explore the broader implementation of this media across diverse learning contexts and its long-term impact on students' mathematical performance and motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan Augmented Reality dalam pembelajaran geometri di sekolah melalui pendekatan meta-analisis. Analisis dilakukan terhadap 17 artikel yang relevan, melibatkan perhitungan ukuran efek dan kesalahan standar sebagai dasar analisis menggunakan model efek acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata ukuran efek sebesar 1,74 yang tergolong sangat besar, mengindikasikan bahwa Augmented Reality memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap pembelajaran geometri. Distribusi ukuran efek mencakup 8 artikel dengan efek sangat besar, 2 artikel dengan efek besar, 3 artikel dengan efek sedang, dan 4 artikel dengan efek kecil. Analisis menggunakan forest plot mengonfirmasi variasi ukuran efek dengan rentang -5,57 hingga 3,24. Hasil uji Egger menunjukkan tidak terdapat bias publikasi dalam meta-analisis ini (p = 0,107). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Augmented Reality efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran geometri, dengan korelasi yang signifikan dan pengaruh yang kuat. Temuan ini diharapkan menjadi acuan untuk pengembangan pembelajaran berbasis teknologi serta penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai penerapan Augmented Reality pada berbagai disiplin ilmu.
