Abstract

The existence of social media made it easy for everyone to interact. The rising use of social media in Indonesia resulted in the emergence of the sharing phenomenon. This research intended to describes the motives of sharing on instagram, as well as overview of the front stage and the back stage. The method that has been employed for this research is qualitative research with type of descriptive research. The dramaturgy theory of Erving Goffman is used to describe the motives of sharing on Instagram. Based on the result of the research, there are five motives of sharing on instagram. First, the social relations in which made the students feel happy and recognized when they got likes and comments. Second, the self-representation, in this case, the students wanted to show good self-representation. Third, entertainment and learning in which coul be seen from the individuals’ behavior of sharing unique and interesting posts. Fourth, Instagram could be used as a diary that stored all activities. Fifth, the motive for expression in which students have a habit since then to tell all the activities carried out to others. The front stage is everything displayed by the individuals when they were interacting with others. The front stage consisted of the setting and the personal front. The setting is related to photo selection and the features that are used, meanwhile the personal front is related to the feed, story, caption, and their manner. Furthermore, the back stage is related to the real-life situation. Abstrak Adanya media sosial memudahkan setiap orang untuk berinteraksi. Maraknya penggunaan media sosial di Indonesia mengakibatkan munculnya fenomena sharing. Penelitian ini menggambarkan tentang motif sharing di instagram, serta gambaran panggung depan dan panggung belakang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teori dramaturgi Erving Goffman digunakan untuk menggambarkan motif sharing di Instagram. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat lima motif sharing di Instagram. Pertama, relasi sosial yang membuat mahasiswa merasa senang dan diakui ketika mendapat like dan komentar. Kedua, representasi diri, dalam hal ini mahasiswa ingin menampilkan representasi diri yang baik. Ketiga, hiburan dan belajar yang terlihat dari perilaku individu membagikan postingan yang dirasa menarik dan unik. Keempat, Instagram bisa dijadikan buku harian yang menyimpan segala aktivitas. Kelima, motif berekspresi di mana mahasiswa memiliki kebiasaan sejak untuk menceritakan segala aktivitas yang dilakukan kepada orang lain. Panggung depan adalah sesuatu yang ditunjukkan individu ketika mereka berinteraksi dengan orang lain. Panggung depan terdiri dari setting dan personal front. Setting berkaitan dengan pemilihan foto dan fitur yang digunakan, sedangkan personal front berkaitan dengan feed, story, caption, dan sikap mereka. Selanjutnya, panggung belakang terkait dengan situasi kehidupan nyata.

Abstract

Although advanced modern healthcare facilities are available today, alternative healing practices such as Suwuk traditional healers still persist. The purpose of this article is to explain the social construction that occurs in society regarding Suwuk phenomenon, which is performed by traditional healers as an alternative treatment technique. A qualitative approach with a case study design is employed in this article. The study indicates that individuals' decisions to choose Suwuk healing are influenced by internal and external factors. Internal factors include patients' beliefs, trust in Suwuk healing, and their desire for recovery. External factors encompass economic aspects such as treatment fees and patients' income, distance to Suwuk healers compared to medical healthcare facilities, as well as the influence and advice from others as a form of intergenerational belief. The construction of Suwuk healers is shaped by patients' experiences and successes in undergoing treatments with Suwuk healers, which then form subjective awareness of the subject. Environmental factors, including the cultural environment and intergenerational beliefs, influence the objective awareness of society towards Suwuk healing services. Objective awareness of the community is formed through three phases: externalization as an adaptation to the long-standing belief in the existence of Suwuk healers, objectification as a search for information about such healing practices, and acceptance or internalization of alternative Suwuk healing in daily life.AbstrakMeskipun fasilitas kesehatan modern yang maju saat ini tersedia, praktik pengobatan alternatif seperti dukun Suwuk tetap ada. Tujuan artikel ini adalah menjelaskan konstruksi yang terjadi pada masyarakat terkait pengobatan Suwuk yang dilakukan oleh praktisi dukun sebagai teknik pengobatan alternatif. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan dalam artikel ini. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa keputusan individu dalam memilih pengobatan dukun Suwuk dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi keyakinan dan kepercayaan pasien terhadap pengobatan Suwuk serta keinginan untuk sembuh. Faktor eksternal mencakup faktor ekonomi seperti tarif pengobatan dan pendapatan pasien, jarak tempuh ke dukun Suwuk dibandingkan dengan fasilitas kesehatan medis, serta pengaruh dan saran dari orang lain sebagai bentuk kepercayaan turun-temurun antargenerasi. Konstruksi terhadap dukun Suwuk dibentuk melalui pengalaman dan keberhasilan pasien dalam menjalani pengobatan dengan dukun Suwuk, yang kemudian membentuk kesadaran subjektif terhadap objek tersebut. Faktor lingkungan tinggal, termasuk lingkungan budaya dan kepercayaan antar generasi, mempengaruhi kesadaran objektif masyarakat terhadap jasa pengobatan dukun Suwuk. Kesadaran objektif masyarakat terbentuk melalui tiga fase, yaitu fase eksternalisasi sebagai adaptasi terhadap keberadaan dukun Suwuk yang telah dipercayai sejak lama, fase obyektivikasi sebagai pencarian informasi tentang pengobatan tersebut, dan fase penerimaan atau internalisasi pengobatan alternatif dukun Suwuk dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Pendampingan pengelolaan wisata di Desa Samar masih belum optimal karena Pokdarwis Desa Samar masih kesulitan untuk mengelola wisata berkelanjutan, seperti kendala sumber daya manusia dan dana operasional yang terbatas. Pendampingan dalam pengelolaan potensi sumber daya manusia perlu dilakukan agar masyarakat mampu mengembangkan potensi wisata berbasis ekowisata dengan seperti Agroeduwisata Jeruk-Jeruk, edukasi perah susu sapi dan pemanfaatan sungai sebagai wisata river tubing secara mandiri. Pendampingan pengelolaan wisata meliputi empat tahapan, yakni (1) Sosialisasi program (2) Pelatihan dan pendampingan (3) Launching Media Promosi dan Terbentuknya Edukator, dan (4) Evaluasi dan monitoring terhadap keseluruhan tahapan yang dilakukan dalam rangka pendampingan pengelolaan wisata berbasis ekowisata di Desa Samar. Hasil dari pendampingan yang dilakukan kepada target ialah berupa pemahaman dari sosialisasi yang dilakukan oleh kelompok ahli, video promosi wisata, dan terbentuknya kelompok masyarakat sebagai edukator wisata desa.

Abstract

Local and foreign tourists can be persuaded to visit attractions offered through social media. Wonokitri Village, one of the gateways to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS), has resumed tourism promotion through social media. There are barriers to managing social media, including owning and managing social media. The charity will be implemented through outreach and direct support to village youth by involving Pokdarwis Wonokitri Village as a participant. The goal is to make village promotions more inclusive and allow local communities to manage social media to attract tourists. Philanthropic activities include direct participatory efforts. The first step in maximizing our work was to work with POKDARWIS members to identify the key constraints and needs of the local community. Next, a discussion was held on the content that characterizes the village's potential. In addition, local village youth are supported to create engaging social media content for tourists, especially in the form of photographs. The implementation team also gained an understanding of the different functions of social media used and how to best utilize them to promote digital village tourism.

Abstract

Farming is one of the jobs that used to be the main job for the people of Indonesia, especially people who live in villages, but this time the existence of farmers has decreased with the times. Villagers, especially youths, prefer to migrate to work in cities to get jobs that have a better income than working as farmers. This study aims to determine: (1) why the younger generation in Bocor Village does not choose to become farmers as a profession and (2) how migration is an alternative way for young people in Bocor Village to advance their careers. In this study, the method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The results obtained from this study are that young people in the village want a better economic change than their families, so they hope that migrating can improve the economics of their families, compared to farmers whose income only depends on uncertain harvests. Migrating is also an option because, for young people who have just graduated from school, it is complicated to find a job because of the condition of the village that there are very few jobs and the Regency Minimum Wage (UMK) in the town is very small

Abstract

The promotion strategy is the main factor for increasing the popularity of a region, including for the benefit of tourism. Regions in East Java were encouraged to develop the tourism sector causing an increase in tourist villages, one of which was carried out in Medowo village. The change in the focus of the village to become a tourist village is an opportunity for the local community to develop agricultural products into products that have a higher selling value. Product promotion needs to be shown carefully to keep up with the times. Changes in promotion through information technology require the public to be careful in choosing the right media and uploading interesting content. The purpose of this community service is to help the people of Medowo village develop the tourism sector and UMKM so that it has an impact on improving the economy and people’s welfare. Participation Rural Appraisal (PRA) is used as a method of community sevice by emphasizing solidarity among communities. The result is that the majority of people have a livelihood as farmers. There are three things that need to be considered by Medowo village to improve the tourism sector, namely (1) the uniqueness of the Medowo village area, (2) the target market for the tourism sector, and (3) the selection of social media and content that supports the tourism sector. The cillage community must be able to recognize the uniqueness of Medowo village, this can also be used as an opportunity to form new livelihoods in the UMKM sector. Keyword: Promotion strategy, tourist village, tourism. Abstrak Strategi promosi menjadi faktor utama untuk meningkatkan popularitas sebuah wilayah termasuk untuk kepentingan pariwisata. Wilayah di Jawa Timur didorong untuk mengembangkan sektor wisata menyebabkan peningkatan desa wisata, salah satunya dilakukan di Desa Medowo. Perubahan fokus desa menjadi desa wisata menjadi peluang bagi masyarakat setempat untuk mengembangkan produk hasil bumi menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual lebih tinggi. Promosi produk perlu diperlihatkan dengan cermat mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Perubahan promosi melalui teknologi informasi membutuhkan kecermatan masyarakat memilih media yang tepat dan mengunggah konten yang menarik. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk menunjukkan peluang dan potensi desa untuk berkembang menjadi desa wisata. Participation Rural Appraisal (PRA) digunakan sebagai metode pengabdian masyarakat dengan menekankan solidaritas diantara masyarakat. Hasilnya mayoritas masyarakat memiliki mata pencaharian sebagai petani. Terdapat tiga hal yang perlu diperhatikan oleh Desa Medowo untuk meningkatkan sektor wisata yaitu (1) keunikan wilayah Desa Medowo, (2) target pasar untuk sektor pariwisata, dan (3) pemilihan media sosial dan konten yang mendukung sektor pariwisata. Masyarakat desa harus mampu mengenali keunikan yang dimiliki Desa Medowo, hal ini juga bisa dijadikan peluang membentuk mata pencaharian baru pada sektor UMKM. Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of fujoshi, a popular culture from Japan. Fujoshi is a woman's passion for manga or comics genre boys love, where the manga tells the story of the love relationship between men. This research was conducted using a qualitative research method with a virtual ethnography method approach, where the researcher traced twitter accounts that were actively uploading about the manga boys love. This study tries to describe how the identity of fujoshi is formed which shows the manga boys love fondness on social media, especially in twitter. The result of this study is that fujoshi still be considered as an abnormality and also considered to violate the norms of the society. However, social media is able to provide space for free expression to show the identity of their preferences without getting any social sanctions. Social media also builds the fujoshi identity which was initially considered a deviation, has now been accepted and spawned more works and formed a community that has the same passion for manga boys love that is bigger than before.

Abstract

Dalam konteks urbanisasi yang pesat, ruang terbuka hijau (RTH) berfungsi sebagai ruang sosial strategis bagi masyarakat urban. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis alih fungsi lahan dalam pengembangan RTH Central Park Meikarta dan bagaimana masyarakat Cikarang merespons keberadaannya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif, analisis dilakukan dengan kerangka Teori Produksi Ruang Henri Lefebvre. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka, dan dokumentasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa konversi lahan hunian menjadi RTH publik-komersial merupakan proses produksi ruang yang dipengaruhi kepentingan ekonomi. Perubahan ini berdampak pada pola penggunaan ruang dan relasi sosial masyarakat sekitar. Meskipun sarat kepentingan kapital, masyarakat tetap merasakan manfaat ekologis dan sosial dari keberadaan RTH, seperti ruang rekreasi dan interaksi. Penerimaan masyarakat terhadap RTH dibentuk oleh interaksi antara fungsi ruang, pengalaman sosial, dan nilai guna yang dirasakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. In the context of rapid urbanization, green open spaces (GOS) serve as strategic social arenas for urban communities. This study aims to analyze land-use conversion in the development of Central Park Meikarta and how Cikarang residents respond to its presence. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive method, the analysis applies Henri Lefebvre’s Theory of the Production of Space. Data were collected through interviews, observations, literature review, and documentation. The findings reveal that the conversion of residential land into a public-commercial GOS reflects a space production process shaped by economic interests. This transformation affects spatial usage patterns and social relations among the surrounding community. Despite the underlying capitalist motives, residents perceive ecological and social benefits from the GOS, such as recreational areas and spaces for interaction. Public acceptance is shaped by the interplay between spatial function, social experience, and the perceived utility of the space in everyday life.

Abstract

Pelestarian budaya lokal tidak hanya bergantung pada warisan material, tetapi juga pada kekuatan relasi sosial dalam komunitas. Studi ini menganalisis peran modal sosial dalam pengembangan dan pelestarian tenun ikat di Kampung Wisata Bandar Kidul, Kota Kediri. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui triangulasi sumber dan dianalisis dengan model interaktif Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial berupa partisipasi generasi muda, solidaritas komunitas, serta dukungan pemerintah dan lembaga menjadi faktor pendukung utama dalam menjaga keberlanjutan tradisi tenun ikat. Sebaliknya, tantangan yang dihadapi mencakup sikap konservatif sebagian warga, keterbatasan dana, dan penurunan jumlah pengrajin. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa modal sosial merupakan elemen kunci dalam menghubungkan dimensi budaya dan pembangunan komunitas secara berkelanjutan. The preservation of local culture relies not only on material heritage but also on the strength of social relations within communities. This study analyzes the role of social capital in sustaining and developing the traditional ikat weaving industry in the cultural tourism village of Bandar Kidul, Kediri City. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through source triangulation and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles & Huberman. The findings indicate that social capital manifested through youth participation, community solidarity, and support from government and external institutions serves as a key driver in preserving the ikat weaving tradition. Conversely, challenges include conservative attitudes among some residents, limited financial resources, and the declining number of weavers. These findings highlight the strategic function of social capital in connecting cultural heritage preservation with sustainable community-based development.
