Abstract

Abstract: Interference is a language error in the mixing of first language elements into the second language. One of the error types is composing a second language sentence using the structure of the first language. This phenomenon is discussed in syntax. Syntax is the linguistic branch that refers to the rules for arranging words and phrases to make a well-formed sentence. The purpose of this study is to identify Indonesian syntactic interference toward German on the texts Schriftlicher Ausdruck taken from the B1-Prüfungsvorbereitung-course. The total number of texts was 21. Sentences containing Indonesian syntactic interference were recorded in the documentation table and analyzed using the language error theory by James and Corder. The results showed that there are one hundred and ten-sentence data containing Indonesian syntactic interference. The data are grouped into error and mistake categories. The data that include errors are interference of word order in a sentence, omission of sentence elements (subject, reflexive pronoun, verbs, conjunction), the addition of sentence elements (preposition), and use of sentence element (conjugation). The data that include mistakes are interference of the use of sentence elements (verb according to the context of the sentence, conjunction, preposition, adverb, and word). Keywords: interference, syntax, schriftlicher ausdruck Abstrak: Interferensi adalah kesalahan berbahasa berupa bercampurnya unsur bahasa pertama ke dalam bahasa kedua. Salah satu kesalahan tersebut seperti menulis kalimat bahasa kedua menggunakan aturan pembentukan kalimat bahasa pertama. Fenomena ini dibahas dalam sintaksis. Abstract

The use of technology is often used to support the learning process, one of which is the German Learning language learning media. The use of learning media in the actions of the student learning process that has been carried out can store data in the form of a log database. A database log is a sequence of student learning processes that have been generated that need to be processed and analyzed to identify the same learning patterns to help lecturers provide appropriate input. This study aims to utilize a log database of German Learning learning media using the sequential pattern method to explore useful information from the student's learning process when working on German Learning language problems. The algorithm used is Sequential Pattern Discovery using the Equivalent class (SPADE). Furthermore, this study uses an algorithm to identify the same learning patterns based on student learning activities when using MONSAKUN learning media. Moreover, the learning pattern that has been successfully obtained will be carried out by extracting information to analyze the same learning pattern based on the category of the student's ability to solve problems. Based on the results of the implementation and analysis that has been carried out on 20 German Learning language questions that have been successfully processed in the MONSAKUN learning media, six patterns of learning activities that vary on each question and level are produced, namely: pattern 1, pattern 2, pattern 3, pattern 4, pattern 5, and pattern 6. Each pattern requires further feedback and responses to optimize students' learning progress in Learning German Learning

Abstract

A digital environment produces new concepts and understanding of language learning and teaching. Students are encouraged to be able to manage their goals and learning process independently. However, the success of self-regulated learning (SRL) in the digital era depends on the student's ability to explore the latest technology, which is defined as digital and information literacy. The problem comes when the use of higher technology unbalances students' digital and information literacy levels. Therefore, this research examined digital and information literacy skills as a base for ELF self-regulated learning. The researcher designed quantitative research. The questionnaires were distributed to 70 respondents from EFL students at the Department of English, Universitas Negeri Malang. Questionnaire data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to find digital literacy skills. The result showed that the students have a high level of digital literacy. There are underlying factors affecting their decisions and preferences that were explicated in the questionnaire responses, such as intake year, study load, and motivation. The findings about students' digital literacy can support teachers in planning interactive digital language learning. At the higher education level, there should be more practice and monitoring of collaborative learning activities.

Abstract

All of the learning in the pandemic era uses online learning including practical in the industry that should do all of the students to apply their knowledge.  The practical industry online is very difficult to assement students that the assessment is given from both company and the university. Companies have many parameters to assessment and each company has different parameters. This study uses 14 parameters that are generally used in assessment for practical students and the university side using 10 parameters. The problem is that every parameter has a different weight than it makes it confusing to give marks with manual assessment. This research uses machine learning to fix this problem based on mobile applications for the user interfaces. The result of testing this application had an average accuracy for assessment students based on parameters of companies and universities that is 83,3%.

Abstract

The development of language learning websites in the current era is increasing rapidly. The purpose of this research is to produce learning media based on German language learning (JERU) websites for students and beginners. Our website development is based on the difficulties experienced by students at school in learning early German learning materials. This learning media emphasizes on effective, efficient, and fun methods applied through the website by providing various interactive games according to the level of material that has been learned and can be accessed easily. Adjustments to the use of multimedia, interactivity, and content can be adjusted to individual needs. The utilization of technology in the development of German language learning websites has great potential to increase learner motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes. However, the development of media such as combining technology into an appropriate curriculum still needs further consideration. The role of technology, especially websites, in German language learning should be further explored. Through the website, it can provide a broad overview and a very effective solution when developing innovative, responsive, and fun language learning methods to current developments.
